Weak Keyboard Frame Ruins the Experience
The keyboard works with Mac. That's good. The keyboard feels nice. That's good. The keyboard shell is bowed, bendable, and flimsy. That's not good. On a solid, level surface, the keyboard shell will tap against the surface it's placed on, which is extremely annoying. The keys are so quiet, but the whole shell kept smacking my desk when I would hit certain keys. Please watch the video to see what I mean. I attached a photo too, but it might be difficult to see how bowed the keyboard is. There is almost no bracing in the bottom middle of this device; so if you get a bowed one like I did, the keyboard shell will make contact with any surface it is placed upon. I cannot recommend this product.

Great, solid keyboard
Excellent, sleek keyboard with the capability to switch between my PC and Mac? This is it! It's an absolute delight to type on, it feels so similar to a default Apple keyboard, the keys type incredible and have so far no missing or double/triple keystrokes. This is a wired keyboard so you will need a USB or C port (it comes with a converter for both). The toggle between settings works exactly as expected, giving the capability to use shortcuts from both Mac and PC devices. I've tried this on a desktop and connected to a laptop and both worked flawlessly, perfect compatibility. It's a great weight, doesn't shift around on the desk when using it and it goes very well with basically any office decor.
This keyboard exceeds my expectations. If you are looking for a replacement keyboard, seriously consider this one.

Good budget keyboard
I think it's a very decent budget keyboard, and actually pretty hugh quality. The base is made of aluminum, so it feels nice and hefty. I really like how the usb cable had an adapter for type A and C, so it's easy to connect to your computer st home, or if you're on a laptop with limited USB Port, there's usually a type C available. It's very responsive and works great. The keys have a good feel for them for the type of keyboard, nice and smooth without any stickiness.
The back lights weren't super bright, but I kind of like that compared to the big RGB mechanical keyboards. The only thing I would have liked more is if the letters on the keys were lit up, because in a dark do it's hard to see if your hands get off.

Quality keyboard, elegant design!
This is a really nice, quality keyboard. I use it on my iMac because I needed a 10-key pad which the computer doesn’t come with. Set up was very easy and took under 2 minutes. Plugs right into the port of the computer.
I personally enjoy the “clicking” of the keyboard it’s much better than the keyboard the computer comes with.
I got white to match my computer, but it also comes with black. The white matches the iMac exactly and it looks like it came with the computer. It is a little bit larger than the original because of the 10-key pad, but it is the same standard size as a PC keyboard.
I think it’s a great value for the price! Excellent quality and good design.

Upscale look and feel fits modern and minimalist styles, has a great feel, too!
I was blown away by the construction, look, and feel of the Satechi Slim LX3 keyboard!
Even the box it comes in is sleek and stylish- not that that really matters, but I think it shows that Satechi is not cutting corners anywhere with this product. You're getting a lot for your money with this product, and it has a very high-end look and feel.
I've got this connected to my work laptop, and it is really nice to have a full sized keyboard connected to it. The ultra thin board shows away nicely under my standing desk lift when I am not using it.
This keyboard has bot Mac and PC key labeling, and a selector switch discretely positioned on a back corner of the board. What is wonderful about that for me is, I work in the printing industry, which is Mac dominated, but also need Windows software for a lot of tasks. If you happen to run Windows under Parallel on a Mac, you need a keyboard like this!
The position of the keys and the tactile feel when typing is nearly perfect for me- and, it is such a slim keyboard that it is easy to keep your wrists in an ergonomic position without a wrist rest.
I like that it is a USB-C plug that has an attached USB-A adapter, so it can plug into a variety of devices.
Lastly- I really love the color! It is nearly black, but has a deep, deep violet color that is subtle, stylish, and not as boring as just black. It has a matte sheen to it and is probably my favorite thing about this keyboard!
This is an outstanding keyboard in form and functionality that looks great in my modern, minimalist office, and I love it!

Superb minimalist quality
From the moment you open the package and remove the sleek black box that holds and protects the keyboard in transit you know you're handling quality. Unpacking and revealing the keyboard fully maintains this pleasant train of thought.
What a delight to plug it into your computer and start using it! The tactile feedback on the keys is perfectly firm, and the aluminium housing shouts "Quality!"
Although it is very slim, the keyboard is full size and feels fabulous in use. Honestly though, with something that looks as good as this keyboard does you'd be inclined to forgive minor imperfections - thankfully you don't have to as it doesn't have any I can uncover!
This keyboard would make a great gift to any discerning computer user! I think it is a purchase you won't regret.

A pro-level keyboard at a great price!
This keyboard has a real pro-level look and feel to it right out of the box. The materials and overall build quality seem excellent, and it feels like something made to last. It was true plug-and-play — just connect it and it’s ready to go, no setup hassle at all. And a real pleasure to use!
I also like that it’s corded, which means no batteries to charge or replace and no worrying about wireless lag. If you want a keyboard that looks sharp, feels solid, and just works, this is a really good option.

Perfect
Very very high quality! The metal is such a nice touch. This is luxury! It's so nice my wife took it from me. So yeah. Grab 2 if you have a spouse.

Well made, wired keyboard with low profile keys.
Not at all the sellers fault... But I thought I could use this with my android device. Yes, I know it clearly says iPhone. But apparently I cannot read. 🤦♀️ Lol. So sadly it won't with my phone. But it does feel quite heavy and well made... Much nicer than the cheap one I got from Walmart to use with my laptop. One of the issues I have with the cheap one I have is it's so light that it's hard to use when it's not flat on a solid surface... Like you can't sit it on your lap and use it without it moving around. Since this one has some weight to it, it wouldn't be flopping all over the place. Also, the low profile keys are nice. Although, I do think $50 is pushing it a bit since it isn't wireless. But if you're okay spending that much it is made very well made.

No dedicated Insert key but otherwise great
I tested the Satechi Slim LX3 Wired Keyboard on my Windows machine and overall I’ve been very pleased with it.
The first thing I noticed was how nice the keys feel when typing. The keys are smooth and very responsive, and I actually prefer the typing experience over the standard keyboard I use at work that has larger keys. It feels comfortable and makes typing for longer periods easier.
One thing I don’t like about the keyboard is that there is no dedicated Insert key. I personally use the Insert key frequently when pasting into terminal sessions. I did discover that if you turn off Num Lock, the 0 key on the numpad functions as Insert, so there is a workaround. However, it isn’t labeled, so you have to already know that behavior.
Since I only have Windows computers available, I was only able to test this keyboard with Windows. All of the keys I tested worked properly without any issues.
I also like that Satechi includes an adapter so the keyboard can connect using either USB-C or USB-A, which makes it easy to use with different devices.
Overall, this is a comfortable, responsive keyboard that I would recommend as long as you’re okay with not having a dedicated Insert key.

This is a good keyboard…
I am a keyboard aficionado, and I’m currently typing up this review actually using the product. First impressions were great, but after a bit of use, I’m firmly landing on four-stars.
In a side-by-side comparison with the Apple product, the keyboard layouts are almost identical. After a bit of trial and error, I was able to use my most-used keyboard short cuts for Apple (specifically, us the “alt/cmd key” to the right of the Windows option key). I will absolutely be keeping this keyboard for a technical emergency as my Apple 10-key is starting to show its age and the time is coming for something new, but this will keep me until that day arrives.
While the keyboard is heavier than Apple, comparatively, and the layout is similar, the differences are enough to mention for consideration. First, the typing experience is much louder on the Satechi keyboard, and in my opinion, there isn’t a model on the market that offers the same low-profile typing experience. While the ergonomics on this keyboard are nice with the slight angle, I find the typing experience of the key sounds distracting—not as satisfying as Cherry MX keys, not as quiet as the real thing. If I want a keyboard to click-clack, I use a mechanical model.
The dual USB-A and USB-C connector is slick, and I appreciate the addition of this thoughtful design to be useful in both Windows and USB-C only devices. You may need a hub to use this keyboard, but it is well worth not having to trouble yourself with Bluetooth connectivity and device switching.
Overall, I’d say the value for the money is decent: the keyboard is well made, functional, and looks at home in any Apple/Macintosh native environment. If you are in the market for a Magic Keyboard without the price point? This is a great place to start.
