Good but niche sound. Writing contrast is non existent.

First of all the contrast of the red on the black makes impossible to read the writings. Body is metal and fine... THE SOUND IS VERY NICHE and initially I was going to return it. But then one morning I decided to try it calmly and toke my time, so to speak 😜

I got a trusty Strat with Yosemite Humbucker at the bridge, hotter that the usual Strat pickup. BTW I love the Yosemite single coils too, so "glassy".and clean...

This pedal gets a distortion more akin to some kind of thrash speed metal from the 80ies like Slayer in Hell Awaits.

My other pedal, a Joyo Uzi, can't do that tone.

So this pedal for sure has a particular tone that you may like or not like but it is unique.

I was returning it because I thought it was redundant but now I am keeping it.

It is true bypass and the noise isn't perceptible much. At least in my setting, that is simple and grounded well.

I use it after another good inexpensive overdrive, the Celine Blue Sky.

I hope this helps some metal kid out there looking to achieve that particular sound without spending a fortune... 🤘🏽☠️

Good distortion

Works well, can get decent tones with the right adjustments, pairs well with noise gate

Decent Crunch Distortion Pedal

Very inexpensive, decent distortion pedal. I was able to dial in a full, saturated distortion sound by setting the mid knob at 11 and then the high knob around 9 on a clock with the “Dirt” (gain) knob set to 3. It sounds pretty processed with the mids and high knobs turned all the way up in my opinion. Sounds subjective what one person likes another person will. I Need to try the pedal in different parts of my effects chan since it’s fairly noisy where I currently placed it. The noise is the only reason I’m giving this pedal 4 stars- if was quiet I’d give it a 4.5. It’s not a Boss or other high-end pedal but it really does the trick for the low price.

I wasn’t expecting much for only $30, but I’m quite surprised and happy with the tones this Riffer pedal pumps out. The metal chassis is light and fairly small yet it seems durable, and the 4 knobs have good tension and response. I have tons of pedals and over 100 guitars, but I’ve never tried this company Satone before. I will try more of their pedals now. Happy with my purchase.
