My neighborhood is getting a little sketchy now and both neighbors have had break-ins. So this will give me a little more piece of mind. This was very easy to set up, very sturdy and well made. I have slate tile and this gripped it very well. No slip! It gives extra security the deadbolt can't. It comes with an alarm too. I used it on my other door. I just hang it on the handle. I tested the functionality and strength. I pushed had with no movement. Great product!

Great alarm!
When I ordered this I had a couple applications in mind and I think it will work for all of them, I'll have to decide where to place it, or maybe order a couple more.
The device was easy enough to assemble, I would've appreciated the instructions being in a slightly larger font, and get out your magnifying glass. I don't know why the font needs to be so small, there's a lot of empty space on the paper.
The device can be used on a handled door, or a slider. I actually may use it on a sliding window. The opening for my sliding window is not that big and so I just took one of the rod pieces out and it fits.
I have may have missed it on the instructions, since they're so small but the on/off buttons are both needing a slightly longer press to do the job. Other than that operates just fine. The smallest jiggle results in a very very loud alarm. I may take off the box alarm to fit in my suitcase when I travel, as soon as somebody giggles the door it would alert me. So this device actually has four places you can put it, a door with a handle, a slider door, a window, or hang it on the door knob.
The materials seem to be pretty good quality, I am not sure I'd want to challenge it with 400 lb of force. I'm really more interested in the alarm function which is quite impressive.

Extra layer of security for my house
I've been using a door security bar for over a year and it's given me an extra layer of security, so when I came across this one from SecurityMan and found it comes with an alarm, I decided to give it a try. The security bar arrived in a neat package, with no damage to any of the parts, and the instruction manual was easy to read and understand. The bar is height adjustable and will fit a variety of doorknobs. It can be used to secure both normal and sliding doors, although sliding doors require the included white end caps. The alarm requires three AAA batteries (included) to operate, and I must say that it is really loud. The alarm can be clipped to the bar or hung on another door knob. The bar is well made and nicely painted, however it is not as sturdy and thick as the one I've been using. Overall, I believe it is a good security bar with a bonus alarm.

Just what we needed to feel safer in our home
I ordered this Securityman Door Jammer Stick to give us an extra sense of security. It was easy to assemble, and set up. I made it as short as it would go to fit under the door handle, which also made it more sturdy.
After getting it set up, I went outside and tried to open the door. It would not open, but the alarm went off. Luckily, I wore earplugs, because it’s really loud. I think the alarm alone would deter a person from trying to get inside. So, I decided to remove the alarm from the bar, and hang it on our sliding glass door handle. We use a stick in the door, but the alarm gives us that extra reassurance.
The bar also comes with two rubber caps, so it can also be used in the sliding glass door, if you decide to use the caps instead of the end pieces for a regular door.
I’m so impressed with this product, especially since it protects both doors. It’s durable, well designed, and the price is very reasonable.

This door alarm can be used in 2 different ways: the track of a window or door or against a door handle. It's sturdy and very loud. It was easy to set up. It's also easy to arm and disarm. My one door is too big for it to fit snuggly, but when the door was opened it still went off and stayed in the track.

Perfect for our back patio door.
I ordered this 2 in 1 bar for our patio sliding door. Every time I cut a wooden rod for that door, the rod gets repurposed. I like that I can use the holes/button to get a great fit. Also, the rubber end coverings help protect the door. Yes, I'd order it again.
