Warning
Purchased October 2024. Worked great till this morning I received a notification that my car wasn’t charging. I checked were it was plugged and smelled like something was burning. I noticed the plug was hot and saw smoke coming out of the connector as I unplugged it.

The Best Budget-Friendly "Daily" Charger
The Pros: High-End Convenience
The "Magic" Button: The biggest win here is the wireless button on the NACS connector. It works exactly like the official Tesla charger to pop the charge port door. It sounds like a small thing, but when you’re coming home after a long shift or trying to plug in during a Marysville rainstorm, not having to pull out your phone or open the car door is a huge plus.
Sturdy Build: Being a CNC machinist, I have a low tolerance for "cheap-feeling" plastic. This unit actually feels heavy-duty. The 25ft cable uses high-conductivity copper and a TPE flame-retardant jacket that feels like it can handle being dragged around a garage or used outdoors.
Versatility: The dual-voltage support is perfect for travel. The included NEMA 5-15 adapter is great for a slow "trickle" charge when visiting friends, while the NEMA 6-20 plug gives you a decent Level 2 boost at home without needing a massive 50A circuit upgrade.
The Cons: The Speed Ceiling
16A Limitation: This is the main "catch." While it’s a Level 2 charger, it’s capped at 16 Amps (approx. 3.8 kW). For comparison, the Tesla Mobile Connector can hit 32 Amps (7.7 kW) with the right adapter.
Charging Time: On a Model Y Long Range, you’re looking at about 14–16 miles of range per hour. If you come home with a near-dead battery, a full charge will take nearly 20 hours. It’s perfect for topping off daily commutes, but if you’re a heavy driver, it might feel sluggish.
Certification Nuance: The materials (like the jacket and internal wiring) are UL-rated, but the entire unit lacks a full UL/ETL "Whole Device" listing. For a budget brand, this is common, but it’s something to consider if you plan on running it at max load 24/7 for years.
Final Verdict
If you need a reliable home charger for a standard daily commute (50–60 miles) or a high-quality backup for road trips, this SEGUMA unit is a no-brainer. It "just works" and feels much more premium than its price suggests. However, if you have a massive commute and need to go from 0 to 100% in a single 8-hour sleep, you’ll want to stick with a 32A or 48A hardwired station.

Arrived late than initially given time. Delivered to next door. Package is opened while I am picking it up. Working well.

Poor build quality. Raw exposed wiring.
Garbage quality. Head of the connector wasn’t attached. Raw, exposed wiring. Baffling. Ordering a different charger, can’t replace with this one.

Good while it lasted (two months)
Durability does not surpass several months , it was working OK until the end of this month , and now it literally melted - I unfortunately can not return this product as it just passed the return window so I guess I wasted about 150+ USD on a unreliable charger. I have to position the charger a certain way for it to even turn on and that isn’t even a guarantee as most of the time it doesn’t light up at all when plugged in.

EV Home Charger
I purchased this to have an additional charger for home use while keeping my Tesla mobile charger in the car. The cord long and seems quite durable. I’ve been using it consistently for 3 weeks and it works well for my needs.

Charger for Tesla
I've used it on both 110V and 230V. On 110V, I get about 5 miles of range per hour of charging, and on 230V, I get around 15 miles per hour. If you have access to a 230V outlet, there's no need for a dedicated fast charger.
Tesla recognizes the charger when you're nearby and automatically opens the charging port—very convenient!

Solid choice for a portable level 1 back-up charger (haven't tested level 2.)
No problems with this charger so far.
It defaults to 16 A on a 120V circuit, which is good if your circuit is on a 20A breaker, as many are. This allows the maximum charging speed that should be supported on such a circuit. Unfortunately, my circuit is only on a 15A breaker. I can manually change the maximum current to 12 A in my car or on the Tesla app, but, even if I don't, it starts to charge at 16 A, then automatically reduces to 12 A soon after. From there, it continues charging flawlessly, at least on a 120 V circuit.
I haven't had a chance to try this as a level 2 charger (220V circuit) yet, but I bought it primarily to use as a backup to keep in my car for cases where a level 2 wasn't available and also to use until I got the permanent level 2 charger installed in my garage. It worked perfectly for the latter, though it does, of course, take a long time to charge at level 1 speeds (which is normal and not at all the fault of this charger.)
With the included carry bag, this fits well in the shallow forward cargo well of my 2025 (pre-Juniper) Model Y, which seems to be a very convenient and out-of-the-way spot to store it in my car. Attached picture shows it in this well in its carry bag.
The long cable is certainly handy, allowing it to reach outlets pretty far from the car's charge port. Charger, plug, and cable have always been cool to the touch while charging, even when charging has been ongoing for several hours, though, again, I've only tested this at level 1 charge speeds.
No problems with build quality. The button on the handle reliably opens the charge port on my Model Y... actually more reliably than the one on my Tesla Wall Charger does.

Good Charger, Good Company
I recently got acquainted with the Seguma brand (Love it) and now the pleasure of this Level 1 or 2 EV Charger for my Tesla, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. This charger exemplifies efficiency and convenience, functioning as effectively as the official Tesla charger but at a significantly lower price. Really, everything that a charger that is twice times the price will have similar internals - just more buttons etc.
I really wanted/needed this charger because of the potential “emergency charge” on a family trip to parks and really small and beautiful resort-like town. There was always a chance that there was no place to charge, and with this, even at 16 amps and 1kW charging - that means you get about 4 miles per hour - which, if you are at zero, or in camping mode and need to maintain your climate etc. and be able to leave the next day, then this is a must.
The build quality is exceptional, and the charger feels robust and durable. The 25-foot cable provides ample reach, which is incredibly handy. I particularly appreciate the inclusion of both a 120V NEMA 5-15 plug for Level 1 charging and a 240V NEMA 6-20 plug for quicker Level 2 charging. Having these two options in one package is extremely beneficial. Again, you get 16 amps so that will limit you to 3+kWh charging, but again, this is for emergencies.
The NACS connector pairs flawlessly with my Tesla Model Y, charging my vehicle as efficiently as the original Tesla charger. It is just like charging with a Tesla charger, minus having to pay two-three times more. Love the press button = open charger.
In summary, this charger is an outstanding alternative to the Tesla mobile charger. It is reliable, versatile, and well-constructed, all at a very competitive price compared to the official Tesla charger. I highly recommend the Seguma charger to any Tesla owner seeking a portable, high-quality charging solution. It has become a staple in my car's frunk!

Level 1 and Level 2 Charger for Tesla
I just purchased this charger for my Tesla Model 3 as I needed an additional charger for when I travel and this one works perfectly! It is the epitome of efficiency and convenience all rolled into one. It works just like the one you buy from Tesla.
This charger packs a serious punch when it comes to charging your EV while being able to take it with you in an emergency. It comes with a sleek little carrying bag and both 5-15 (Level 1) and the 6-20 (Level 2) charging plugs.
It looks very durable and the cord is super long (25 FT) so I don’t need to be too close to an outlet, also nice and thick.

Basically a Mobile Charger
This Mobile charger set from Seguma offers both a level 1 and level 1 and a half. It caps out at 16A max which isn't exactly Full Level 2 but still fast enough to get you charging overnight.
The adapter drops it down to a 5-15 and on a 6-20 plug / receptacle you can charge slightly faster the 5-15 is just a home outlet and the 6-20 has a horizontal / perpendicular slot.
It has great range and distance and the top button can trigger the charger door which is very helpful for those charging at home and not wanting to hit or tap the charger cover.

Great low level charger for Tesla cars
This is a handy charger for my Tesla. It is not a fast charger like the instalked ones, nor is it as fast as the OEM mobile one, however it is way cheaper. For me, I got it as a backup. Since I don't have any outlets that are NEMA 6-20, I will have to use the adater that comes with it for a regular household outlet. Using that means it only charges at a rate of about 1.5% or 5 miles per hour. If you have the 240VAC 6-20 circuit, you will get twice the charge rate. My mobile OEM charger can get about 7% or 22 miles charge per hour using my dryer outlet (NEMA 14-30).
The unit itself is quite simple. There is just the LED strip that has different color (pulsing or solid) depending on the status. Your car can show the numerical details such as charging current etc.
The connection to the Tesla is that same with regard to pushing the button to open the charge port and locking it in.
Besides the adapter, the kit also includes convenient velcro straps and a soft carrying case.
I am very pleased with this charger. If all you need is a slow charger, this is a great option and priced really well.

Good Replacement
the charger works at the advertised charge rate, and the LED light indicators let you know if everything is good with the wall outlet connection. When opening the car charge port, the button on the cable handle opened it without issues or extra pairing.
As for the charging speed, at 4 miles per hour, you can expect about 96 miles if left charging for a full 24 hours.
This cable can give you a couple of miles of range in cases of emergencies when a wall socket is available, or a top-off after commuting to and from work.
Cable is long enough for most applications, and come with a storage bag.
