Risk of Fire!! Dont buy!!
DO NOT BUY!! We bought this in the beginning of July this year (2025) and it worked fine... but last night the splitter unit plug became too hot, melted and was smoking... we only realized when we received a notification from our car that it stopped charging... we are so lucky we did not have a fire! Not worth the risk to your home!

Pretty good if you know what you are doing...
Initially this device didn't work for us. Even when the dryer was off, it wouldn't direct power to the EV port. But then I understood what the problem was... Because we had a smart dryer, it was still drawing a small amount of power even when turned off. And even the tiniest power draw from the dryer will trigger the cutoff for the EV side. So, I had to jig the system a little differently. Now instead of going directly from the dryer port on the device to the dryer, we go from the dryer port to a 2 pole 30 amp switch in the laundry room, which then connects to the dryer. Whenever the switch is in the "off" position, the dryer doesn't draw anything and by extension, the EV gets power. Whenever the switch is flicked to the "on" position, the EV cuts off automatically, which is what this thing was supposed to do in the first place. So basically, it will work, BUT if you have a smart dryer, there will need to be an additional step - i.e., installing a manual switch between this device and your actual dryer. And instead of just turning the dryer on by pressing the switch on the dryer, you will have to turn on TWO switches - the one in the dryer plus the 2 pole switch that sits in between. Other than that, good purchase. Good luck!

This 240 splitter saved me time and money not having to install another 240 outlet. I plugged in my dryer and charger as indicated and this device works flawlessly. I couldn’t be happier with it. Switches over to dryer automatically when in use, then back to EV charger, no more plugging and unplugging. All plugs are cool to the touch as well. Perfect product for my use case.

I bought this as an alternative to another split volt product. This works as expected. I was able to charge my car at 24amp without a high electrical bill. I will update my review in a few months
