100% Recommend
Absolutely love them, have tried many other Mesh/Bluetooth helmets and always sent them back due to poor sound quality and way to much wind noise. What others don't tell you (but maybe because they don't know or their ebike only does 15-28mph) is no one listed what speed they tested them and the website doesn't list it either... dont worry I got you covered tested at 38-40mph and no wind noise activating the mic.
Finally a ebike helmet that is made for ebiking.
No I do not get paid for reviews or work for Sena, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Nice, feels sturdy and has 2 great visors
Nice, feels sturdier than the helmets previously I purchased from Sena. In line with other reviews, the buttons are a little sharp versus the rubber buttons on the last helmet. The Phone calls and the music sound much clearer I had a conversation today and my friend told me he didn't realize even that I was riding my E bike with some wind. He said it sounded that clear. So, Hats off or in this case hats on to Sena for another great product

Sena U1 Answer to wind noise. Period
After careful unpackaging, with every intention of sending them back if there is a hint of wind noise. My wife and I spent the cash and picked these up. We talk to each other most of the time while we ride, especially if we’re on the roads. We’ve tried using our cell phones with earbuds to earbuds, her AirPods to my Beats Studio, worked part of the time, lots of wind noise.. Tried another Bluetooth over the ear headset. I even put mic covers over them to try to reduce wind noise. Turned these on, hooked up, and took off. Amazing e-bike helmet. We typically ride around 15 mph and it was windy and we could talk to each other just like we were riding next to each other. Not kidding. We were blown away. That being said, they are a little pricey, but man they are quality, they look cool and are comfortable. I got a big head (24”) so I picked up a large black and it fits nicely. We’ve had them a few days so it’s way too early to talk battery life. Both of us have turned our mic off and listened to our music. Sound quality is fine if not better. Highly, highly recommend if you ride with a partner or group. I will update with some battery life news when able. Battery life for us is around eight hours. Less if you turn on the lights.

Perfect Upgraded Helmet For My Ebike
I love this helmet. I have the R2 Evo, but finding this one, made specifically for eBikers, I jumped at the chance. I ride 100% on a Trek eBike, and I was excited about having more protection. The intercom and Bluetooth speaker/phone work just like all of Sena's smart helmets, which is perfect. I am 100% happy with this purchase.

Comfortable, responsive mesh
Helmet feels comfortable and no heavier than a regular bike helmet. With the strap it feels safe and secure. The mesh talk works well, though the speakers are good for voice and don’t have much bass. Music works but it lacks bass. It’s comfortable not having something inside your ear so having the speakers on the helmet adds comfort but allows your ears to hear more ambient noise.
Note there are some helmets with more “light” features built in, this one emphasizes Bluetooth and comfort.

Good Helmet with Built-In BT Speakers
PROS
+Solid BT connection with phone
+Can stream music
+Can communicate with others that have Mesh-equipped headphones/helmets
+2 included visors (Clear orange, Clear gray)
+Good overall build quality
CONS
-Helmet fits small
-Minimal padding which decreases overall comfort
-Helmet is quite heavy
-Speakers lack bass
SUMMARY
Overall this is a good helmet if you are looking for one with built-in BT speakers. Sound is adequate from them. Even when you crank the volume, you still hear ambient noise around you so this is good for safety purposes. My biggest gripe with this helmet is that even the Large size feels tight. And this is despite the fact that it has minimal padding. Maybe Sena needs to make a XL size.
