Hidden gems

This is a good Distortion pedal nearly comparable to a DS-1 for about 1/3rd of the price. Now that is not to say that they can replace a Boss DS1 or an MXR distortion Plus. The Shaevle are better built with a better sound range, a little bit larger then the other bargain pedals coming out of the far East. I bought their Distortion. Delay and Chorus for redundancy. Just in case my digital gear went out, or I was being over cautious with my stomps in a rowdy metal club. I find myself gravitating towards the analog pedals more and more. The Shaevle brand is built way better than all the other bargain brands and the sound quality is tiers above the other "el cheapo" pedals. These things are close enough to some of our old favorites in tone that you could fake a funk with them. That's stacking them up against Boss, MXR and Electro Harmonix stuff. Definitely well built of thick gauged alloy, the buttons are way sturdier than some of the other bargain pedals and they're a bit larger. I have three different power supplies and they work on all of them just fine. And you cannot beat that price with a stick. Great value especially for beginners. Step out of the digital world for a while guys come back to analog you may like what you're hearing now is it the technology has caught up with the vision.

Ok distortion pedal

This is an ok distortion pedal. I got it to use on a bass amp that doesn't already have any distortion on it, and it works fine for that. I have no need to use it with any of my guitar amps which already have distortion, and I don't think there's anything particularly great about this pedal's distortion sound. It's ok for the price though.

Sounds great

This pedal has great sound and is easy to use. The materials are adorable and I’m confident that the way I will be using it in my music room, it will last for a very long time. It’s a good price I believe and it’s compact size makes it easy to sit on the floor next to my other pedals.

Sounds great. Solid build.

I love this pedal! It's quite well-constructed. The knobs feel solid. Not wombly like others that are circuit board mounted. The silent (click-free) foot switch is a feature that's usually found on more expensive pedals.

The three boost settings will take you from a nice low gain crunch (OFF) to a sizzling high gain sound.

I wish it had a little more high end in the tone control, but with a bit of equalization it's easily tweak-able.

The silkscreen logo on the face of the pedal I received was a little off-center but I don't care. The pedal is solid and it sounds great.

Nice tones, fairly priced.

For the price this is a very nice distortion pedal. It is heavy and made with attention to detail. I like that all the different pedals have different colors so it’s easy to know the difference between them. This distortion pedal has different tones, each one unique and gives a varying sound if playing the same tone. You can change this by using the toggle. The toggle is sturdy and switches smoothly. It’s easy to understand how to use it, and my son was able to figure it out on his own. I thought I had a cord that was compatible with the pedal but it wasn’t the correct kind, so it’s best to make sure you have one or else the pedal is useless. There are also three knobs that are used to change the volume, gain, and tone. Although I am not an expert at using these functions, my son knows exactly what to do and he is completely happy with the quality and sound of this distortion pedal so it’s a five star in my books.

Thick and low distortion with minimal highs, true bypass.

SHAEVLE Distortion Guitar Pedal comes as a lone unit with a basic manual printout in a box. Now less important than the sound, the pedal looks absolutely killer in a matte black with white accent controls, feels super solid as well. Pedal has 3 knobs for Level/Tone/Gain and a 3 way switch for distortion level(spoiler set it all the way up and forget the rest). Ok, now I have never been great at setting up good distortion myself, so I will just tell you how it sounds to me. This pedal has a very low and thick style distortion, a lot of the higher ranges seem to be absent(maybe clipped?). It is very metal, deep and dark style and I actually like it. Other things to know, this is a true bypass so even without power your signa; will go thru, also it requires external power as their is no battery option.
