Bought these like a year ago. Worked great and used them all the time. Until The left side started to rattle and then. the side started to fall apart last month I taped it up hoping for the best and now they just say they are fully charged and shut off all the time. Such a shame because I would have been a lifelong customer.

These bone conducting headphones lasted me 2 years until they completely died. Within 3 months the left speaker completely gave out. Next the right speaker came loose in the housing which would rattle any time their was bass pumping through the speaker (I remedied this by drilling a hole in the housing and injecting UV resin in the void which pretty much fixed the issue until the headphones completely gave out). Other issues included poor mic quality as people on the other end would always say it sounded like I was speaking in a wind tunnel and I'd have to adjust the headphones and/or cup speaker. I love the design and how light these headphones are but for the money the quality of Shokz are terrible. I bought a pair of Shockz Open Run for my son and they completely died in 6 months so I had to buy him a second pair and these are already having issues with charging....sometimes they charge and sometimes they don't. One last issue is the actual battery life...realistically only 6-7 hours compared to others in the 10 to 15 hrs range. Unless Shokz QC gets better I think my family is dine spending money on their products.

Worked great until they stopped charging. Comfortable, lightweight, effective base, even when outside, but stopped charging after the second charge went out. I kept them on my desk in their little case and then they stopped working. :( I didn’t get to try them in the water yet.

I have been swimming for 40 years, 20 of it with sound, and after so many players I used, and tested, the Shokz is the best one!

I purchased the previous model of Shokz's swim headphones a few years ago. I ABSOLUTELY loved them. As a D1 college swimmer, I OFTEN recommended the headphone to former teammates, swimmers who had inquired if I was listening to music, and even unprovoked endorsements, telling other swimmers how they revolutionized my workouts. Then, just after the 2 yr warranty ran out, each earbud began to jingle, as if something inside had come loose. I reached out to customer service, acknowledging I was past warranty and they were incredibly uncooperative and offered nothing to make up for the product's shortfall. This was not due to misuse or any accident - this was a product defect, and they offered no assistance. They just encouraged me to buy new headphones. WHY WOULD I BUY MORE OF YOUR PRODUCT WHEN IT BECAME FAULTY AND YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ABYSMAL? I felt guilty for so often recommending this product, often leading to purchase, so I felt the need to share my poor experience here with others. Think twice before purchasing this product!

When I got them, the ease of loading music was great, and the sound was as expected. After a little over a year, the battery compartment is starting to separate from the headgear. This is affecting its charging and I do not know how much longer it will last.

i would not buy these again. first pair broke in 1yr. second pair broke in 6 mo. and at exact same place. tried to fix w/ silicone but that only lasted 1 mo. not worth the high cost. would definitely not buy these again. reviews are all very good. and the headphones were exc for the relatively short time they lasted. Its no wonder it gets exc reviews as they are based on short term use. no one mentions long term durability gor good reason. note: I swim 1mi 4d/wk so they do get used. but they are just not durable/long lasting.

I rarely write product reviews but decided to post that I love these Shokz OpenSwim Pro, even though I really wish they made them in the mini band size...
1. I bought these for the MP3 capabilities and I'm so glad I did!! It's been awesome to have my own music anywhere I go without needing my phone in hand! All buttons and functions are working perfectly.
2. I love the EQ setting on these especially for water. I also love that these come with a small case that includes and holds a nose plug & earplugs to make using the music in water sound even better. The black travel case it comes works well to keep it all together anywhere you go.
3. The regular size neck band on these is okay because I tilt the band closer to my neck. But as a female with a regular dimension neck size, the mini band is definitely better. I have the Shokz OpenRun Mini and that band is a better fit. So I wish they also made the OpenSwim in mini band. But since Shokz is the only company making mini bone conducting headphones, (and children's sizes of other brands don't come with IP68 water protection), I didn't see the point of getting another brand when those neck bands on all the others are just as long or bigger-thicker. The Shokz OpenSwim Pro has all the other top details I wanted that covered everthing important to me: mp3 type + multiple other file type capabilities, 32 gig memory for audio files. You can load separate music artists mp3 files to listen by each album separately, or load all the songs stacked with all the artists all together. Whichever (or both) you prefer. You can skip forward or go back, shuffle music, or whatever order you loaded them mixed together. The buttons are very easy to use for moving from bluetooth to mp3 and other controls. The water rating is perfect at IP68 and can also be paired with two devices at the same time which is really helpful for various scenarios. I also like the feel of the buttons and location on these compared to one other brand I'd narrowed my choice down to. The other brand has a small wheel function that the reviews said was difficult to use when your hands and/or the headphones are wet. So ultimately, I chose these Shokz OpenSwim Pro. Happy with the choice!
4. As others have said, I'm not sure why Shokz is trying to call these red color because they're definitely more like salmon/coral color. I love red but also love coral. I decided to go ahead and get these either way because others' pictures looked like a coral/salmon color to me, and they are. (Not strong orange nor bright/blaring orange.) So I really do like these bc they're soft enough color in the orange family. I've included 2 pictures in case it helps others who are on the fence either way: 1 pic just the headphones & 1 pic of the headphones next to my red shirt. Obviously some lighting can make a difference, but the pics are pretty close to actual color. It's hard to see in the pics online, but the band is a nice navy blue color that compliments the salmon/coral color nicely.

Wow. Just wow.
I’ve been a competitive swimmer a majority of my life. After all the years of singing songs in my head while losing count on my 200s- I found this awesome headset that finally fulfilled my dreams of listening to my music while I work out just like everyone else.
They fit incredibly well under my cap and the cap doesn’t smash any of the buttons while I swim. Somehow, they sound BETTER in the water, but still good on land! My new favorite gadget hands down. It’s made getting back in to swimming so fun and easy that I’ve lost 15lbs this first month 😂.
Highly recommend spending the money on these.
My only complaint is that the freebie ear plugs they came with got sucked deep into my ear. I can’t use them even though I have tiny ear tubes because they’ll literally get stuck in there. Not the end of the world- I have a better pair! The silicone travel pouch they come with makes up for this 100%

It does not recognize the order to answer calls from the multifunctional button, I have to answer on the phone.
Please, I need to return it or exchange it for one that works
Thank you

Good quality, nice style, sounds great, charge fast. Sadly Connect only to the one device at once

Game changer!! I’ve been swimming 2000 yds, (3) times a week for the last few months. Talk about boring! I bought the Open Swim Pro a month ago and now love my time in the pool. It’s awesome to listen to a good beat. The time now flys by in the pool. Tip: use the included ear plugs which will make them sound better as your head goes in/out of the pool while breathing.
Just buy it!

These were great at first and first 6 months had issues with the right side speaker which has since quit completely. *Since previous review-warranty covered them and it was painless to do. They are shipping a new replacement pair.

These HOKZ OpenSwim Pro headphones are perfect for swimming. They stay on really well over a swim cap and feel secure during laps. I love that you can load music as MP3s directly, which works flawlessly.
The Bluetooth doesn’t work underwater, but that’s true for all headphones, so it’s not a dealbreaker. Sound quality is clear, and the open-ear design means you can still hear your surroundings safely.
Pros:
Stays on securely over a swim cap
Easy to add MP3s
Comfortable open-ear fit
Good sound underwater
Cons:
Bluetooth doesn’t work underwater (standard for all headphones)
Overall, these are reliable, easy-to-use headphones for swimmers who want music without bulky in-ear buds.

Awesome! They are very cool, work perfect. The pouch is very cool.
Very good quality and sound. Easy to use

3 stars because they drain fast even when off and sitting in case. Not sure if I have a bad pair or not. Other than that I like them a lot. I wear one with extended microphone at work and was already used to the open ear technology style. I do wish they were a touch louder for being at the gym. I have not used them in the pool yet. And they really look orange to me which I like. That are not red.

Do not handle vehicular abuse well, left them on the Jeep’s spare tire. However, they are such a sound headset, I bought a new grey set. The Red is orange, you have been warned. Honestly, this is the best device for this use on the market due to is connectivity and comfort. I wear this set all day everyday, its volume control is easy to use without your phone and the bone conductivity limits tinnitus flare ups to let hear what I want to hear without being unreachable by others or my surroundings.

It is beautiful that I bought a secondary one when I lost it. The bass literally vibrates the inner ear, which does scratch any itchiness.
Other than that, the sound is beautiful, gets way louder than their first ever generation, and I have thoroughly enjoyed music once more without any of the infections other earphones may have.

I’ve been swimming laps in a lap pool for exercise for several years and have tried every kind of underwater headphones on the market and these are the best. I like to listen to music while swimming and find I typically swim longer when I have music because it’s less boring. Other underwater headphones that go in the ear canal seem to let in water and then the music is garbled. These headphones are bone conducting and don’t actually go in the ear so I put in underwater earplugs and use these headphones. They are Bluetooth and MP3 but the Bluetooth doesn’t work underwater so you have to upload MP3’s from your computer which is really the only negative. The battery life is really long (like 10 hours or so) and I’ve never drained the battery completely in one day. It has a magnetic connecting charger which is also convenient.

Definitely not worth $180ish the headphones paint does not hold up to body heat and the speakers inside rattles now . The wrap is peeling off as well. Only had for half a year. The cheaper ones hold up better

To say these headphones work well would be an understatement. The Shokz OpenSwim Pro headphones may as well be magic. They work well above water, will great sound insulation in quieter places, but they become a different experience entirely underwater. I did have to secure them with goggles so they didn’t fall off, but the audio gets clearer and louder when in the water and show no damage. To use these headphones under water you will need to use the mp3 function which will not randomly shuffle the songs and there is unfortunately no option for that, I had to delete the artist data for a better shuffle. They charge quickly and hold that charge for hours of exercise. Can’t recommend them enough. I do recommend listening to Shokz advice about not listening for long at high volumes as it can give you a headache.

I love this product very much!I've bought several swimming headphones last several years and this is the only one that works the best. You need to use them with earbuds when swimming, and the volume stays stable out of the water and in. Swimming with these headphones is especially enjoyable! Highly recommended!

So far, I'm very impressed with the product; it works as expected. I didn't expect extremely high-quality audio, so I'm very satisfied with the sound. Having said that, the sound is quite clear. However, the initial setup requires a bit of patience; after using the app to connect Bluetooth on two devices, it works flawlessly with both my iPad and my phone. Additionally, after purchasing an adapter for data transfer from my iPad to the earbuds, that also works seamlessly and quickly. I was able to convert some videos to MP3 without difficulty and transfer them to the MP3 player on the earphones. It's irritating that the cable is still USB-A. Although they're fairly expensive, I'm enthusiastic about the fact that I don't have to worry about these earphones being ruined by water or sweat, and they are quite secure.

The bone conduction headphones are very comfortable to wear, even for many hours a day. The sound quality in the mid and high range is crystal clear. The bass is a little weaker due to the design. The quality of Shoks is beyond reproach. I use the headphones at work when it is important to be able to hear my surroundings. The battery life allows me to use them for up to 10 hours without charging at moderate volume. I also use them for hands-free calling when I am on the move and the quality is good. Highly recommend.

I have been through so many headphones. All of them fall out of my ears and stop the music because I sweat a lot. I can’t understand what they’re saying in most of these headphones because the clarity is four. The clarity on these headphones is so great that I can hear every single word that every singer says. I can never hear what they are saying songs. It’s like I can hear for the first time.

I had tried bone conduction headphones many years back and figured they’ve probably improved by now, however these were actually quite disappointing. To start with the good, they’re well-built and feel nice thanks to a rubbery, soft touch coating and they are completely submersible. I don’t care for the proprietary charging cable, the controls aren’t great, especially for headphones with onboard storage that can act as a media player which I didn’t get to try yet because the headphones put out absolutely no low-end. Like, next to none; I think my iPhone’s speakers have better frequency response than these headphones. I will say, what is there is fairly clear and sounds pleasant enough, but it’s just all midrange and treble. I was planning on using these while walking and to toss in my hiking pack and liked the completely waterproof aspect of them. However, with the middling sound quality I’ll stick with my AirPods and can really only recommend these if you absolutely need to listen to music while underwater.

I hate having anything in my ear and I’ve tried a lot of bone conduction headphones. This is by far the best ones I’ve used. I like that the charging magnets stay and doesn’t fall off. The sound quality is really good. The battery life is decent. The only problem I have with it is that after wearing it for a while it hurts the side of my head.
SiTruHaitian
The sound quality is exceptional, with crystal-clear highs and deep bass. The headphones sit comfortably on my head, without covering my ears, making them perfect for exercise, outdoor activities, or everyday use. They can be worn during runs, hikes, and bike rides, and they've stayed put, providing an immersive audio experience. The open-ear design lets in ambient noise, ensuring I can hear important sounds like traffic or voices. The headphones are lightweight, sweat-resistant, and easy to pair with my devices. The battery life is impressive, with hours of continuous playback. Bone conduction technology has opened up a new world of listening for me. I can enjoy music while still being present in my environment. This is a game changer for me
