Small Flames to ignite deep discussions.

This is a very sweet tale. It not only holds excitement for the young reader, it includes messages of valor, strength, perseverance, respect. It was a quick read for a teacher on a summer afternoon. And I'm sure my students will love it in the fall.

I’ll be buying another in the series

Cute little story with a sweet plot. Read it to my 6 year old. He was wishing there was more illustrations but it was perfect enough to keep him interested. Will be picking another to keep the series going!

9yr old was happy to ready every day!

My 9yr old loved this book! He loved that they had pictures scattered throughout the book. The chapters and book length were very appropriate to keep him engaged. The stories are easy to follow along and not confusing for young readers. He was able to extract the plot and details very well with our getting confused. The other positive was each book in this series can be read in any order or skipped completely if not interested in that specific story line. They are not co-dependent on each other and can stand alone. He really enjoyed several of the Small Flames books. We found these after completing the Dragon Master series and it was a perfectly transition to keep him engaged in nightly reading. We’d both recommend this book especially if you are looking for dragon themed stories.

Perfect Gift

My niece ripped open her present then gave me a big smile and hugged these books when she saw them. She informed me that Dragons are so cool.

I got these for her 9th birthday and we're both excited for her to read them.

Small Flames are young Dragons training to become Valor Dragons and protect the realm of Sarva. Each have their own special talents and have to make it through the tournament to achieve their goal. But will they?

Is little Jory really strong enough or bold enough to win? Or will he have to face a fast purple dragon that he can't ever seem to beat in practice?

Or is Zuri as much of a winner as her mother? Can she make her Grandmother proud or will she fail and disappoint everyone?

I love these books and what they teach. It's great for kids to know they aren't alone in their struggles and that what makes a person have Valor isn't always about being perfect.
