Sleek Unit

• compact size

• hard-wired option allows for cleaner install

• separate charge cable hanging hook allows for more versatility

Initially, after installation, the charging app would not allow selection of different charge rates (amps), however, this was quickly resolved w/ a call to technical support, whom made an adjustment on their end, which fixed the issue.

Hardwired model allows for attaching electrical conduit to the rear of the unit, for a cleaner installed look.

For my situation, having the charger cable hook separate from the unit allowed for a better fit into the available space I had.

Installation Notes:

- for 48amp installation, #6 gauge copper wire is listed as sufficient, along with a 60amp breaker

This does not mean that you can use #6 Romex (sheathed) cable because it is only rated for 55amps (due to heat).

Rather, #6 THHN wire must be used, which is rated for 65amps. THHN comes as individual wire, cut to length, from your local electrical supply store. Generally, a red, a black, and a green, wire is used.

3/4" flexible conduit (which is rated for four # 6 wires max) makes installation easier, but is usually limited to a maximum length of 6ft, otherwise rigid conduit must be used for longer runs.

If you only have one full size slot available in your main panel, then you can use a 50amp slim breaker, but your charging rate will be limited to 40amp (set within the charging app) for safety. In this case, nonetheless, I would still use #6 THHN.

Love the LED light!

Using it for last 4 weeks, Compact in size but gives the max ampere. One of my favorite features is actually the LED indicator lighting on the front of the unit. I have mine mounted on a brick wall in the driveway, and the lights are bright enough that I can tell exactly what's going on with my charge just by glancing out the window. It's great to have a charger that is small but powerful.

Saved money charging at night

I installed this charger in my garage for daily charging. The 48A output allows me to charge my car from empty to full in approximately 4-5 hours, cutting charging time dramatically compared to a level 1 outlet.

The app allows me to schedule charging during off-peak hours to save money on electricity. Its charging cord allows me to park anywhere in my garage or driveway. The housing has handled rain and temperature swings without a problem.

If you're trying to manage your cable in a tight location, some creative routing is needed, but that's a small issue overall. A bit pricy, but so far this has been performing reliably. My only gripe is that the app interface could be cleaner. It took me some time to figure it out.

Ev charger

Got this installed as a hardwired unit and it’s been solid so far. The build quality feels good and not cheap like some of the lower priced chargers. The cable is thick and flexible enough to handle daily use without fighting it.

Charging speed is exactly what you expect from a 48 amp Level 2. It pushes around 11.5 kW which is basically the max most home setups will do, so it’s fast and practical for overnight charging . The app is simple and lets you monitor charging without overcomplicating things.

One thing I like is the universal J1772 connector, so it works with pretty much any EV without worrying about compatibility. Overall, it does what it’s supposed to do without issues and feels like a good value compared to the big name brands that cost more.

Great value and charges great

Very nice quality and is actually reasonably priced compared to what electricians and dealerships try and charge you. Charging at a faster time than a basic charger, this thing is great. It comes packaged up nicely, seems easy to use and works for just about every EV that is available. Definitely a money and a time saver. You just need to have someone install it. So basically you get a Level 2 charger, installed for less than the price of just the charger at a dealership

High‑Quality EV Charger with Easy App Control

This is the Spark 48A Level 2 EV Charger, a hardwired home charging station rated at 11.5 kW. It includes a 7.5‑meter (25‑foot) cable, uses a J1772 universal connector, and is both UL and ETL certified. It’s a brand I’ve heard of (which is a plus) and right out of the box it made a strong first impression.

The charger itself looks sleek, modern, and well‑designed — very clean lines, very “futuristic garage upgrade.” That’s not a requirement for a charger, of course, but I like it. Build quality looks excellent, and the packaging was thoughtful and protective, so everything arrived in perfect condition.

Setup was straightforward. The Wi‑Fi pairing was easy, and once connected, the app gives you full control: you can schedule charging, turn it on or off remotely, and monitor activity from your phone. It uses the older J1772 connector rather than the newer NACS standard, but that’s not a problem. I use it with my Tesla using an adapter, and guests with other EVs can plug in without any issue.

Installation was simple enough, though we hired a professional since it’s a hardwired unit. It’s designed for wall mounting, so if you’re looking for a pole‑mounted charger, this isn’t the one. But as a wall‑mounted home charging station, it’s excellent.

Overall, this is a high‑quality, well‑designed charger that works exactly as advertised. It looks great, performs reliably, and offers the convenience of smart app control. I’m very happy with it.

High-Output Charging with Robust Build Quality

This 48A hardwired station is a significant step up from standard plug-in units, providing a consistent 11.5kW that maximizes the charging rate for most modern EVs. The build quality is impressive; the unit feels dense and weather-sealed, and the 25-foot cable remains flexible even in cooler temperatures. Installation was straightforward for a hardwired setup, and the included holster keeps the J1772 connector secure and off the floor. The UL and ETL certifications provide peace of mind for a high-amperage continuous load, which is the most critical factor for any home charging equipment.

The smart features and app integration are responsive and intuitive. Connecting the charger to WiFi was seamless, and the app allows for easy scheduling to take advantage of off-peak utility rates. Monitoring the real-time amperage and session history is helpful for tracking energy costs and ensuring the vehicle is drawing the expected power. For those looking for a permanent, high-power home solution that balances advanced data tracking with a rugged physical design, this charger is a top-tier choice that outperforms many of the more expensive "big brand" alternatives. Good value for the money on a versatile charger with good long cables. A+++

Fast, reliable, and smart EV charger

This charger has been a great upgrade for home charging. The 48A hardwired setup delivers fast Level 2 charging, and it’s noticeably quicker than using a standard outlet. It easily keeps my EV topped off overnight.

The 25 ft cable is super convenient and gives plenty of flexibility when parking. Build quality feels solid, and the weatherproof design is a big plus for long-term use.

The WiFi/app features are also very useful—I can schedule charging during off-peak hours, monitor progress, and adjust settings right from my phone.

Overall, this is a powerful, well-built charger with great smart features. Definitely a solid value for the price.

"Solid Workhorse for Guest Charging"

I’ve owned many EV chargers over the years — from cheap Chinese units to Tesla, Emporia, and Grizzl-E. I have two Tesla vehicles that I normally charge with the Tesla Universal Wall Connector. If you own a Tesla, you already know the charger itself isn’t that critical because the Tesla app gives you full control over the entire charging process.

If you don’t have a Tesla, a smart charger is essential. That’s exactly why I needed this third charger: to intelligently manage charging for my friends’ non-Tesla EVs when they visit.

Living off-grid with a large solar array, I must carefully control charging power — especially on cloudy days or at night — to avoid draining the house batteries. This unit delivers exactly what I needed.

Pros:

Clean, simple, and pleasantly modern design.

Very solid build quality with a noticeably thicker, higher-quality cable than the Tesla Universal Wall Connector (despite both handling the same 11 kW power).

Setup is fast and flawless. I especially like that it allows hardwiring from either the bottom or the back of the unit.

The app is straightforward and functional: you can adjust charging power, pause sessions, and set schedules.

Cons (why not 5 stars):

It’s not fully future-proof — it still uses the older J1772 connector instead of the newer NACS (Tesla) standard.

The hardwired version costs more than the plug-in version, even though they save on the cable. That feels backward.

Overall, it’s a really nice, reliable unit that performs exactly as advertised for my off-grid setup. Highly recommended if you need smart control without unnecessary bells and whistles.

Very good value with full control on phone

Simple to use and reliable, does exactly what I need. Setup was seamless and the app recognised the charger immediately. This is my fourth charger in the last eight years, but I haven’t used one like this that connects within a minute without any issues. The app also lets me control the output, so if I’m charging overnight I set it to a lower current, and if I need a quick top-up I set it to the maximum (48A on this one).

High quality and looks great!

The packaging and charger look excellent. Installation was straightforward, and the device offers several convenient features including scheduling, usage monitoring, and automatic cost calculation for charging sessions. I particularly appreciate the flexibility to select amperage (16, 24, 32, 40, or 48 amps). I installed the 48-amp version with a 60-amp breaker.

Great decision/easy to work.

Just had my new hardwired EV charger installed, and I have to admit I initially thought the price was a bit steep. Now that it’s in, I can really see where the value is. The packaging is a cool design, build quality is excellent; it feels solid and well-made. The cable is surprisingly much more flexible than my old charger, which always felt like I was wrestling with it.

Overall, even though it was an investment, I’m genuinely happy with it so far.
