Can't believe how good this little thing is

I know I'm a little late to the game, but the Pocket Master is something out of this world. I wish I had something like this 20 years ago. Great for practicing: headphones, studio monitors or real speakers (need to turn off Cab block for speakers). Would be great if it had more slots for NAM profiles but hey, it is unbelievably great as-is for its form factor and the money spent. The amp models it comes with are also very good. Put it together with Pocket Control or m-wave chocolate plus and you have yourself a rig. I own Axe FX III, ENGL Fireball, Mesa Mark V, just sold my Dual Rectifier. Is this thingy better than these? I would be lying if I said it was. Is this thingy hours and hours of overwhelming and transcendent joy and happiness - absolutely! :))

It has frozen when trying to update the firmware and not a single one of their troubleshooting steps is unlocking the device.

Furthermore, they claim they have a warranty, but then their website says that after 30 days you aren't entitled to anything.

Best 65 bucks you can spend on effects.

Excellent bang for your buck, here. Toms of effects and amps, plus the ability load your own NAM and IRs. Sturdy and well built, even though it's plastic. It comes with a clip and is small enough, I often hang it on my strap. No buzz or interference, whether plugged in or running of battery, which lasts forever. Might be the best 65 bucks you can spend on a multi effect unit. Especially considering the amp modeling. You can also pair an M-Vave chocolate plus midi controller for programmable external foot switches. The presets were good enough, but there are also 50 slots for user load outs as well. Honestly, probably worth it as a standalone distortion, reverb, delay, or OD pedal alone. And the fact that is has bass effects, amps, and cabs is icing on the cake. Super versatile, super cheap, super good.

No matter what this does or doesn't, just the fact that a belt clipped device lets you switch clean to od/distortion without a foot pedal makes the price not even a question. Then couple the fact that it is battery operated and can handle wireless adapters to and from the guitar and the amp, what else is there to say? The only modification I physically made was putting a double sided velcro piece under the clip before tightening the screws because if you move the wrong way the clip can slide off of your belt.

In the 2000s, I had a multi effects unit that did half of what this thing did and it cost about 4 times as much. This is a great piece of hardware that deserves all the praise it gets

Lives up to its name

Wonderful! Works great. Perfect multi effect pedal for beginners especially if you’re on a budget and not willing to spend 500+ dollars. The only downside is it doesn’t work with certain guitar recording apps like ToneBridge. Besides that it’s a super good product and recommend buying it!

Finally — a Real Acoustic Solution for Live Tone

I bought the Pocketmaster for one purpose: to load up Acoustic Guitar Neural Amp Models (NAMs) and Impulse Responses (IRs) to see if I could get a more natural tone when plugging my acoustic-electric guitars directly into a PA for live performances.

Long story short — it worked.

I’ve tried just about every pedal designed to remove that dreaded piezo pickup quack, and none of them ever nailed it. Everything always ended up too bright or too boomy, no matter how much EQ or “acoustic enhancement” I added. (For reference, I’ve tried: LR Baggs Voiceprint DI, LR Baggs Para Acoustic DI, Fishman Aura Spectrum DI & Preamp, MXR M108S Ten Band EQ, and the JHS Colour Box V2.)

While I didn’t have much luck creating my own Acoustic NAM or IR files, I was able to find and test several great ones online. After importing them into the Pocketmaster, I could fine-tune each preset using the built-in EQs and reverbs through the SonicLink software on my Mac — tailoring each sound perfectly for my main guitars.

The result? Incredibly realistic, natural-sounding acoustic tones that finally sit right in a live mix. Honestly, it’s the best my acoustic rigs have ever sounded — and now I can finally sell off the rest of those “acoustic fixer” pedals.

Best purchase to price ratio in my gear

This little guy has expanded the limitations of my Korg volca beats 100x.

I was hoping to use the looping function and what I didn't expect was the pocket master to add a ton of usability to all my devices for 60 bucks.

Great value and full of Fun

Very nice and not just for the price. The body feels good to the touch and the presets offer a great amount of fun. Get down to work and create your own or tailor the presets to suit your sound.

This thing rocks!! Nice lil amp modeler !

This is a nice lil gadget. I have had it a few days now and did all of the updates. The Android apk file is on their product page and can be tricky to install but when installed it works awesome. I have installed the Apple app from the Apple store as well. Tweaking the sounds is so much easier when you use the mobile device to do it. Grabbing nam files and installing is fairly easy as well. (found a Fender amp with spring reverb)

The sounds you can get are all over the place!! Win win! A lot of videos online to assist.

Great bang for the buck for this lap steel player

so far so good bought it so that I had a battery powered option to add a little bit of reverb and a tuner to my lap steel set up I think for the money it’s probably the best thing out there

DRONE synth with Monotrons!!! WOW!

FIVE STARS out of the box! This is better than ZOOM to use with Korg Monotron Reverb & Duo to create drone synth and movie soundtracks!!! These will only increase in value once the synth-heads unlock its potential!!! So good I purchased two!
