Not worth the money!! Read the reviews!!
In some ways I was impressed, but mostly I was disappointed. The sound quality is great but it is marginal compared to ear buds half the cost) noise canceling is superb but that's about where it ends. The battery life is the same as a $50 pair of earbuds but the real let down of these earbuds is the case, multiple times I have came back to the case to realize that one earbud didn't charge. And there is no way to know if they are both charging or not. The picture is reference for size next to a Tozo T10 one of the cheapest but most comfortable earbuds I've ever worn. The tozo is only $25 but I got a year out of it before having to replace I've only had these for a few months before issues started to arise. The price tag this high it's unacceptable the issues that me and others have. Like most I paid the high price tag in the expectation that they would last a good amount of time NBA large Step Up and equality and that is not what you receive. I should have went with the Technics like I was going to..

The case is trash!
Giving it 2x stars only because the earbuds themselves are really good! The case is trash!
Need a whole new set! Even before the pin broke, it rarely charged the first time I set the buds in the case. You have to constantly take them out and re seat them. If the light doesn't flash then they aren't charging. No joke it takes takes 5 or 6 tries before the case acknowledges the buds.

Broken after just a few months & Terrible Customer Service
Would highly recommend NOT purchasing this ear buds. Mine broke within 7 months (see picture attached). One of the electrical connections within the charging port for my right ear bud seemingly disappeared, impossible to charge.
Sony especially was USELESS.
If you like spending $350+ for something that is going to break under normal use, then you should buy this.

Buy if you are looking for premium earbuds, keeping in mind they have flaws.
Let me start off by saying I love these earbuds, the black that I got looks great, they're light and small for portability, but they do have a few flaws. They have amazing noise cancellation, the features in the app are wonderful going from making the music sound like it's coming from speakers in the room to shaking your head yes or no to answer calls. They sound easily the best I have ever tried, and if they don't sound to your liking you can eq them heavily. From what I've seen, some people don't enjoy the foam tips on the earbuds, however, they fit very well in my ears and don't have the problem I had with silicone slipping out of my ears the longer I wore them due to sweat. They feel very comfortable against my ear, only causing mild discomfort after ~6 hours of use. They have a few flaws that I have experienced, one being a quiet but obnoxious clicking sound in my left ear that I have chalked up to the tip not making full contact with the top of my ear canal, and quickly sticking and unsticking to it when doing things like driving or walking. Another is sometimes I have issues with the connection to my device. About once every 30 connections, usually when putting them away and quickly pulling them back out, the earbuds will connect but not produce any audio causing me to have to put them back in the case before using them. A different connection issue I have noticed is if I have had one earbud in my ear and I put the other in, sometimes the audio will sound split between the two almost like the audio is slightly off sync. Lastly for the connection issues, I have only experienced this two or three times, they will go unbalanced and will make the audio louder in the right vs the left or vise versa. The passthrough sounds good for the most part, even blocking out loud sounds, but once there are high pitched noises such as birds chirping or whistling, it creates a slight but noticeable static for the duration of the noise.

Peace and Quiet if you Need or Want It
I absolutely love these ear buds. I have a son that plays Water Polo and the noise during a game in an indoor pool is uncomfortable at best. The whistles are shrill and the yelling echos off the walls. These Sony WF-1000XM6 provide total noise cancellation so that I can watch the meet in silence. Or, if I prefer, I can listen to soothing music during a tournament and not disturb those around me either. I love them and the freedom they provide.

Sony WF-1000XM6: Absolute Nightmare Support & Defective Charging Case
If you are thinking about spending premium money on the Sony WF-1000XM6, save yourself the absolute rage and buy literally anything else. These are flagship-priced earbuds with sub-basement-level build quality and a customer support system designed entirely to make you give up and go away.
The Hardware Failure:
After normal, careful use, the charging case completely failed. The earbuds stopped connecting and charging because the internal contact pogo pins are incredibly fragile and poorly engineered. For a premium device, having the core charging mechanism fail this quickly is completely unacceptable.
The "Customer Support" Nightmare:
Three Hours on Hold: Expect to waste half your day trapped in phone menu hell. I spent over three hours on hold just to get a human being on the line to report a clear hardware defect.
Ridiculous Hoop-Jumping: Instead of immediately honoring the warranty for a known issue, they send automated support templates demanding forensic-level macro photographs of microscopic charging pins under "perfect illumination."
Deliberate Delay Tactics: They use these absurd photo requests as a barrier to drag out the process, hoping you'll get tired of the runaround and just buy a new pair out of pocket.
Verdict:
Sony used to stand for quality. Now, they sell defective hardware and completely ghost you when it breaks. Three hours of my life are gone just trying to get a basic warranty replacement, and all I have to show for it is a useless plastic brick. Avoid the WF-1000XM6 at all costs.

Nice sound quality
Delivery came when expected. Overnight delivery is the best!! So far they are more comfortable than my Apple AirPods. Nice cancelling is good. The true test will be on the Airplane. I will update after my trip. I like that the bus is black and you cannot see them much through my brown hair. Connecting them was simple. I have an iPhone and they connected right away. Today is my first day using them I will come back and comment on the full quality in a few days. So far I’m happy with my purchase!

Fantastic Mic Upgrade and Audio, a Bit Bulky still.
The mic upgrade compare to XM5 is totally worth it for work calls. Great audio but still a little bulky.
Been daily driving these for about ten days now and the mic upgrade from the XM5 is the first thing I noticed. I spend half my day on Zoom calls for work and the rest just listening to Spotify to drown out the office noise. The voice pickup here actually competes with my Bose QC 2 now. People on the other end say I sound normal.
The audio quality is fantastic. The battery lasts ALL day for me and the charging case feels incredibly solid in my hands. It just has this heavy premium feel to it. They are definitely more comfortable in my ears than the last generation but they still stick out a bit.
I still think Sony could shave down the size and weight just a tiny fraction. After six hours of back to back meetings my ears get a little fatigued.

The most uncomfortable earbuds
However, if you have the opportunity to avoid buying these earbuds, please do so. DO NOT BUY THEM.
- They boast about being comfortable for working, listening to podcasts, or enjoying music; the reality is quite the opposite—they are extremely uncomfortable. I tried all the included ear tips, but no matter what, you can't stand wearing them for even 30 minutes before they start feeling uncomfortable.
- They claim to have the "best ANC" (Active Noise Cancellation)—that is a lie. You can hear absolutely everything. Whether you turn it on, tweak the settings, or update to the latest firmware, it simply doesn't work.
- Honestly, for working or listening to music, they are just too uncomfortable. You really should look for a different pair.

Sound is amazing, fitment is comfortable.
Theyre amazing, the noise cancellation is amazing, you cant hear any background noise. Calls are crystal clear but the best thnng is the person on the other end only hears your voice crystal clear. These can also be used as hearing aids in transparancy mode. Fit is great, ive had them in for hours with no issues, just make theyre positioned correctly like the directions show. Only annoying thjng is the tap 4 times volume thing but apparently i can fix thst later.

Not very durable. Cheapish quality.
I've owned these earbuds for 40 days. No complaints about sound quality, and the features are great!
My one complaint as a consumer is the value for the money. The memory foam buds aren't very durable and have a cheapish feel. Mine are starting to crumble and flake off. For what we're paying ($300), you'd think Sony would throw in extra replacement memory foam buds.
I even called Sony to complain, and instead of sending me the exact same memory foam replacement buds, they sent me cheaper-feeling silicone replacement buds. D- grade for Sony for deceptively making me feel as if I were going to receive the exact same replacement foam buds and failing to include replacement in the first place.

Actual noise canceling earbuds!
Ok my first reaction when I tried these earbuds was wow! I’m not too used to earbuds but these fit my ears perfectly. It comes with different size ear buds in case the default ones don’t fit. When I put them into my ears I had to move them around a bit to get comfortable but once I found the sweet spot they canceled out all noise almost immediately. I was suprised at how noise canceling they actually are! I was standing by our noisy air conditioner when I first tried them on and I thought the A/C turned off because I couldn’t hear a thing. The sound is beautiful. Listening to music with them feels like an experience. My husband who is a big earphone fan also loved them. He did have more difficult getting them to fit so I can see that being a drawback or issue for some. But if they fit I think you will be as satisfied as I am. :)

Bose QC Ultra is much better for similar $
Sony WF-1000XM6 Review: The Sony WF-1000XM6 work—but not at a level that justifies their price. I went in with a clear objective: see if they could outperform my baseline, the Bose QC Ultra Earbuds, particularly in windy environments. Here’s the scorecard:
1. Noise Cancellation
Bose is materially better in most real-world conditions. I tested side-by-side in a noisy gym, at an athletic event, in an airport, and in a restaurant. In all of those, Bose had the edge. The one exception: with the top down in a convertible, Sony handled wind slightly better. The Bose seems to overcompensate and has intermittent scratchy noises.
2. Pairing
Both perform well. No meaningful difference.
3. Mobile App / Device Control
Sony’s app requires too many menu layers for simple adjustments. Bose is cleaner, more intuitive, and faster to navigate.
4. Earbud Controls
Close to a toss-up, but Sony leans toward awkward. Some basic functions require unintuitive press combinations.
Overall
Disappointing. I expected more at this price point and regret the decision to step away from Bose.

Price Worth
(8hours)Long-lasting battery, excellent noise cancellation and full bass. Very comfortable for your ears, the XM6 is slightly slimmer but deeper in the ear than the XM5. The sound clarity is unmatched—it immerses you in the sound because features a new driver unit that produces a slightly deeper, more refined low-end and improved spatial audio compared to the XM5.

Underwhelming for the price
These are okay for the money but I wasn't blown away. I tried every ear tip in the box and none of them fit me that well, which is probably coloring the rest of my impression. The audio felt a little weak to my ears and the noise cancellation wasn't as strong as I'd hoped. Maybe somebody with a better seal would feel differently. Its okay in terms of comfort, and they're not too bulky. They are a pain to switch between multiple connected devices, which was also annoying. For the price I would've expected a lot more.

Fancy but overpriced
I ordered these earbuds at the same time that my husband pre-ordered his own SamsungGalaxy buds 4. I am reviewing these buds on their own but also heavily compared to the others as well. For one, my husband could not comprehend why these are so expensive. The basic galaxy buds are almost half the price of these. And the pro version is still about $50 less. Those earbuds are fantastic. With that being said these buds are also really awesome. They feel very luxurious and high quality. The insert in your ear feels a little bit thicker or harder than other buds. The noise canceling on these buds kind of scares me. It's so strange how well it does quieting the world around you. I tried it in a room with the TV on and I couldn't hear the TV at all. I have what I would say are normal sized ears for a adult female and these buds feel like they are a little bit too big. They kind of feel like they might fall out if I'm using them while working out or cleaning. I didn't really have any issues with connecting them to my phone, once I figured it out. The buds feel very strong and durable and I will try very hard not to drop them, but if I did I think that they would be okay. When I use the buds I only use them for an hour or two at a time, so I'm not worried about the battery life. I think that if you are going to spend this much money on a set of earbuds that you will be doing your research and due diligence to pick the ones that are best for you. It's all a complete personal option. I think these are great for what they are, they are just overpriced in my opinion.

Worth the upgrade. / Caution
I bought these for the noise canceling. I use them 99% of the time with no music, or sound playing. I don't like the larger size coming out of the ear. Because, I lay on my side with them, and for that the XM5's are nicer. But, these are louder while staying clear, the noise canceling is nicer, and the heart-beat sound is extremely less. The heart-beat sound is when the noise-canceling is on and you can hear your heart beat. That problem is almost gone now, with the new design. But, different eartips are needed to remove it almost completely. I recommend changing the original earbud tips to get nicer noise canceling, and to hear less if any, heart-beat sound. I use Charjen, Luckvan Memory Foam Eartips, or similar.
I use these until the battery gets low, and then switch to the XM5's until the XM6's are finished charging. The "heart-beat" sound is extremely loud on the XM5's and basically gone with the correct eartips on these.
Update:
I recommend getting a used pair. You will need to buy extra earbud tips regardless of which one you choose, and there's probably nothing wrong with them.
I bought the XM5'S certified refurbished elsewhere, 2 years ago. The first pair had a random glitch that was not fixable with firmware. The second pair works perfectly.
Update #2:
There was a battery drain problem. The batteries would drain extremely unevenly. For example, the right earbud would always drain faster than the left. A small amount is normal. But, the battery for the right earbud would be at approximately 20% and the left earbud would be at approximately 43%. That is, "in the range of", normal, if you using a voice assistant, and the speak-to-activate feature, on the previous models. But, I had that feature off. Also, the talk-to-disable noise-canceling feature was off. I ordered another pair, and the batteries drains evenly, with about a 2 percentage point difference.
Update #3:
This pair did not have any problems, for one week. Then, the left earbud died. It would not charge. I reset the earbuds several times. An orange light on the case flashed. Which, means an error has occurred while charging, preventing the process from completing.
Update #4:
This pair was a return, and i ordered a new pair. The paper label that wraps around the box, if pealed open, in an average way, can be resealed with the glue sticking like new.
Final Update:
Also, i tried the Luckvan Memory Foam Eartips for Sony WF-1000XM5. They are super soft and comfortable, and have an earwax shield. But, with all foam tips, the foam doesn't hold the original density long. I change them at about two weeks, for any foam tips. The Charjen tips last much longer. But, eventually the density of the foam doesn't bounce back. The Charjens have rubber on the outside of the foam. They last longer, because the foam doesn't soak up oils. The Charjens have a lifetime warranty, and it only costs about $5.99 for shipping. But, save the box. It has some numbers on it.
I wear these all day every day, and often at night. They save my sanity from cricket and bird noise.
If you don't wear them as often you may not need change the eartips as often. Plus, if noise cancelation, the "heart beat sound", or just gross dirty eartips are not important, then you won't have to change them as often. Also, if you don't use foam eartips, then a pair will last forever.
Important:
Sometimes you may need to ensure that the earbuds are connected to the charging pins in the case. For example, if you go to use your earbuds and they warn you with a low battery message, even though you stored them in a charged case.
Taking them in and out quickly can glitch the charging.
So, make sure the light on the case blinks fully. Like, a slow eye blink.

Reliable & Good sound cancellation and Sound Quality
I was using the XM5 for 1 year. 8 hours a day. Using sound cancellation. I still missed q little bit of sound quality and then XM6 improved everything. Sound cancellation, sound quality, design. It is just better. IF U ARE LOOKING FOR A ALL ROAD EARBUDS THESE ONES ARE PERFECT!! If u only want sound quality there is other options for less price, but you loose quality in functionalities like battery, sound cancellation, connection, etc

Crisp and clear
I had mixed feelings about these buds at first because of the shape and fit. I think it’s because I have grown accustomed to the style of my AirPods. I have to due the extra small tips to get a comfortable fit and good seal, so I am grateful that size is included. After using for a while and getting used to how they fit and feel, I am now used to them and find them very nice. I’ll be clear, I am no audiofile, so when I say that the sound is crisp and clear with nice bass, that’s from an average Joe just looking for something that sounds nice, not a professional DJ or record producer. The noise canceling is better than any other buds I have ever used, and I appreciate the quick attention feature. The battery life is great and lasts for as long as I need it to. The quick charge feature when you are out is super convenient as well. I have read that some users complain about connectivity, but have had no issues myself. As far as price goes, I think it’s high, but in line with the market, and delivers a good value accordingly.

Quality and Fun!
The recent upgrade from Sony has met expectations, delivering a commendable improvement. I have, however, opted to replace the standard ear tips with silicone alternatives. This modification has successfully alleviated the previous discomfort, specifically the itching and redness, while maintaining the integrity of the audio quality.

Disappointing.
The sound quality is so poor that it hurts my ears listening to my favorite songs. After an update that took 2 hours, it still hurts. After following advice about the equalizer and settings for another 2, it still hurts
Fitment is great, it literally does not move at all out of my ear, while walking or running.
Case and earbuds feels a little cheaply made, doesn’t feel like a premium product. The case and putting the earbuds back in are so clunky. The case is overly large in my pocket and the earbuds sometimes don’t let the case close.
For the price? Awful. Moving from the previous generation to this one, a no brainer, don’t. I cannot see how this is worth that much money.
I will give it to Sony, the ANC is the best I’ve ever encountered, I can’t hear a damn thing when right next to a busy freeway. But honestly that doesn’t matter if the sound quality makes me want to throw the ear-buds in the trash.

Impressive Sound Quality
I picked up these Sony WF-1000XM6 Earbuds while on a quest to find the perfect earbuds for me, and out of curiosity. The Sony Earbud lineup has a strong reputation for sound quality and noise cancellation, plus I had been keeping an eye on the prior Sony WF model and thinking about getting it, when this new model came out and caused me to get off the fence.
I’ve been looking for earbuds that match my hearing and my preferences, and in doing so, I have built up a collection of low to mid-range (in quality and price) earbuds but haven’t found the right ones but hadn't decided to jump into the high-end segment of the market until now.
And boy am I glad I did. These earbuds sound fantastic! The noise cancellation function works like a charm, and they are quite comfortable. It works with the “Sound Connect” app to give you control of practically all functionalities. Including my favorite, the 10-band equalizer with 2 custom presets. I have hearing loss from over 40 years in aircraft maintenance; my high-end frequency hearing is practically non-existent. With this equalizer, I can boost the high-end frequencies, and I can actually hear them. The bass is loud and “booms” for an earbud. Overall, I would say the sound quality is excellent.
The buds come with four different sized tips, and the app has a fit test that measures sound leakage for proper fitting. You will definitely find the right size for you. The buds fit securely; I haven’t felt them slip in the least.
The Noise Cancelling function works very well. It’s not soundproof though, some loud noises can leak through but at a greatly reduced volume.
Some other features I like are the ability to connect to two devices, the ability to use an assistant (Siri or Android,) voice control, gesture control and wireless charging.
The only aspects I’m still trying to get used to are the controls; I don’t think they’re as intuitive as they could be, the touch area seems small. However, I’ll wait to make a final judgement until after I’ve had more practice.
Battery life is 8 hours, plus a couple more charges from the case should easily get you through the day.
I haven’t tried any other high-end buds, so I can’t compare, but as far as I’m concerned these may not be the best, but they’re way ahead of whoever is in second place! I highly recommend it!!

These earbuds have some strong points, but they’re not perfect for me.
Fit is good. They sit securely in my ears and don’t want to fall out, which is important when I’m walking around or working. Battery life has been solid and the noise cancelling is impressive when I want quiet.
That said, they’re not as loud as my AirPods Pro 3. If you like your music cranked, these don’t push volume the same way. The texture of the ear tips wasn’t great for me either — kind of rough and not as comfortable as other tips I’ve used.
Sound quality is good overall, but the comfort and volume limitations keep this from being an all-around win for me. Good earbuds, just not exactly what I expected.

Sony WF-1000XM6 tws earphones, black
These are true wireless earphones with noise cancelling. I have several sony tws earphones, wf-1000xm4, linkbuds s, linkbuds fit, and others. The xm6 are my new favorites. Xm4 are similar, but those have more bass on stock eq, and don't lock in as securely (see photo). Xm6 have a flatter stock eq that's better for most things, because you get more frequencies without having to crank the volume, which wrecks tiny batteries faster.
Batteries: 8 or 9 hours runtime at medium volume with most features off (mostly spoken word content and some music). I'd wear my xm4's all day at 85% volume (sometimes higher), with DSEE, LDAC, bass 3 notches up, multipoint, auto-update, and wear sensors on. After about 650 hours runtime, one battery started to drain in about 3 hours, and it went downhill after that. A similar thing started to happen on my linkbuds s a few years later. So I'm a lot more careful these days, only using essential features. These things are getting really expensive. To be worth it, I need at least 8 hours runtime per charge, for a solid 3 years.
Sound quality: on the xm6, not much enhancement is required to sound fantastic, so I sometimes set the equalizer with a hint more sub-bass and that's it. One complaint I have is they put AAC as the default audio codec on android, so I have to reset it to the superior SBC, everytime.
Foam eartips: xm6 sound great and fit very well with foam tips, which is good, because that's all they give you. Foam seals up better than silicone tips, but foam can get slighty moldy after a few months, at least on light colored tips.
ANC: I haven't tried it yet, but the passive noise canceling is enough I can hear these on a loud city bus with volume set to 80%. I avoid features that drain the batteries quickly, but it's nice to know high quality ANC is there.
Comfort: they're very comfortable on my average sized male ears, and don't move at all during moderate activity. I haven't tried vigorous activity yet, but expect they'll do fine.
In conclusion, these look great in matte black, with subtle curves and an ergonomic design, almost like museum pieces. The fully customizable touch controls are easy to access, bulging out of my ears slightly. These sound great with a clear and punchy stock eq, but are they worth the price? I have sony IEM's that sound better, but those weren't cheap either, and these have built-in bluetooth. Then there's neckband earphones (sony WI-XB400) with 15 hour runtime that sound pretty good for 50 bucks. But they're not true wireless stereo, and don't look as good as these. So, yes they're worth the price, but it depends on your budget.

Disappointing at this price
THE GOOD
I've owned a few Sony products over the years including the XM4. Like all Sony TWS, the ANC is amazing. Also really like what Sony did with the packaging here, seems to all be eco conscious and as minimal as possible while still protecting the case and buds. Touch controls are responsive, among the best I've ever used including vs. the Sennheiser Momentum. That's it for positives and that's what I gave two stars for.
Just a little context--I am a collector of headphones and IEMs, mostly wired but I have several TWS sets of both. And I can appreciate different headphones and IEMs for what they might excel at, given their respective price points. For example, the Meze Elite brings an expansive and lush experience, providing detail while never being fatiguing. The Sennheiser HD600 is the king of midrange timbre, and while it doesn't typically have enough low end to satisfy many, it becomes a different creature once paired with an OTL tube amp. Any owner who has owned the combo knows this.
For ANC headphones, I own the Final UX3000SV, which is a full sized on ear--great clarity, can get peaky. I also own the Skullcandy Crusher Evo, bombastic haptic bass--nothing special in terms of clarity, but the overall fun factor is amazing. TWS I have a few Earfuns, Soundcore, and I have owned the Momentum TWS and aforementioned XM4. Some others I can't remember. Currently I own maybe 20 full sized headphones, 25 iems, and 5 TWS buds like these, ranging in price from a few dollars to a few thousand dollars each.
THE BAD
And here we are with the Sony. Sound quality--the number one reason I'm buying anything--is subpar on this set. The bass bleeds well into the mids, making the entire mix sound muddy, recessed, and somewhat incoherent. Upper mids and lower treble are missing detail and clarity, instruments sound congested--it lacks the attack and decay to bring fast paced music to life. You can improve the soundstage with a tip roll--Final Type E fits and doesn't come off. Personally I don't use foam, though I tried it with its own tips and liked those even less.
Overall, this is a bloated sounding set of TWS. EQ can mitigate some of this, but I tried all profiles including making some custom ones--yes they improve, but I don't know what average consumer is going to take the time to make these sound better when something like the Soundcore sounds good right out the box. And it's not like EQ make them sound magical, even the "Clear" profile which raises 4k+ has somewhat mixed results...
For more context, I love bass... LOVE IT. But I expect the rest of the mix to not be drowned out by it or require extensive EQ to fix. Most bass I've heard without haptic trickery is the JVC HA-SZ2000... that's a wired headphone that has a dedicated subwoofer type driver. It will vibrate your head more than the Crusher Evo (and TH900) but all the EQ and pad swaps in the world can't save the JVC. Like the Sony, it's a one trick pony that ruins everything else at the expense of some bass.
THE UGLY
So... if you really want something midbass heavy and don't care about detail, clarity, anything else... or really want one of the best ANC in a TWS, then maybe. But at this price, it's a lot for me to take. Maybe wired IEMs have spoiled me but I have owned $75 sets that outperform these in every aspect, and don't stick 1/2" out my ears when they do it.
Maybe a firmware update will improve on them down the line but, as is, I don't recommend them.
