Good low-cost modeller

So far, I'm enjoying this pedal. Does quite a bit in a small, inexpensive package. The built-in tuner, looper, and drum machine are handy. I mostly bought it for practice around the house, and plan to load some NAM profiles on it. For the money, I think this is the best compact modeler. There are others that are better, but cost more money, so it's all about how much you're willing to spend.

Budget Dirty Shirley or IR-D

Impressive sounds and features for the price. I haven’t spent a long time with the product but so far I have found a few core tones I can use. I play mostly low to medium gain Marshall inspired tones. I was a little disappointed in the JCM800 model but then I found the DS (Dirty Shirley). It’s perfect. I added some of my own IRs and it’s even better but the stock V30 IR is pretty good and better if you adjust the mic, position and high cut settings to taste. What I don’t like about this is the level on the Aux In. It’s level is really low. To make things usable you have to drastically adjust the patch volume, the aux device volume and in my case the studio monitors. This is not the case with other units I own such as my Boss GT-1. Drum machine is just ok. Levels are egregiously low on that feature as well. Overall I’m pretty happy with it as it sounds good by itself and as a power amp/ir loader/effects for my outboard preamps.

Powerful, portable, versatile. Modern tech is amazing.

SORAN JME-02 Dual Stomp Lite Multi-Effects Guitar pedal literally has it all. The first thing I absolutely loved about this thing was the internal battery, it can run stand alone for hours and all you need is a USB cable to top it off. It's small size makes it easily portable, it's covered in buttons making adjustments and setup much easier than a single dual like others. And the distortions are heavy, I often find distortion models lacking in rack effects but these are nice and thick. Before this I had a cumbersome set of pedals under my desk that was just tedious to pull out and practice while at the computer, but this little guy does a good enough job to retire them. The channel switching seems fast and I don't notice in dead air between, all the effects are here with the exception of pedal controllers like wah wah. And it has extra perks like split stereo out, separate head phone monitoring and too manty to list. love this little guy.

Great Sound and Features, Footswitch Control Could Be Better

I’ve been using this JME-02 Dual Stomp Lite for a bit now, and overall it’s a really solid multi-effects pedal, especially for the price and feature set.

First thing that stands out is how good it looks. It has a clean, modern design and feels like a legit piece of gear. Once you start using it, the amount of effects and presets is kind of wild. There’s a ton to explore, almost to the point where it can feel a bit overwhelming at first. The upside is you can dial in your own presets pretty easily once you get the hang of it.

The amp modeling actually sounds really good, which surprised me. You can get some solid tones out of it for practice and casual playing without needing much else.

The looper is simple but does the job. It’s easy to use and great for jamming or practicing ideas. I wouldn’t rely on it for a live setup, but for home use it’s perfectly fine.

My main issue is with the footswitch controls. Instead of letting you assign and toggle two separate effects on and off, the pedals just cycle through effects one at a time. It works, but it’s not as practical as it could be and feels like a missed opportunity.

Overall, it’s a great all-in-one pedal with a lot of value. Tons of effects, good sound quality, and useful features. Just be aware that the foot control setup might not match what you’d expect if you’re used to more customizable switching.

Aounds great. Simple to use. Even more potential with firmware upgrades!

this thing is great. Tons to love about this pedal. Let me say what im left wanting. If they could make the footswitches assignable to turn on/off effects similar to Valeton GP-50, they would be crushing their competitors for value and features.

So yeah if you read this Soran, if you can do a huge update to enable that if the hardware is compatible id give it 10 stars! Also would love to be able to run two different reverbs at same time.

The other thing that would add a lot is an XLR out. Add these to the next gen dual stomp and this thing is ready for anything! Still highly reccomend :)

Powerful and Easy to Use Effects Processor with Solid Build

This multi effects unit impressed me right away with how easy it is to use straight out of the box. My favorite thing about it is the hands-on control. Instead of having to scroll through menus constantly, it gives you dedicated buttons for different effects, and when you press one it takes you directly to that section where you can fine tune it. That saves a lot of time and makes it feel more like a real piece of gear instead of a menu-driven device. The app works well and is easy to use, but I found myself not needing it much because the onboard controls are already so intuitive. The sound quality is another big win. I didn’t notice any of that digital artifact or harshness that sometimes shows up in smaller budget units. It sounds clean, full, and works well whether you’re using headphones, practicing through an app, or plugging into a full setup. You get 99 high fidelity presets that you can tweak to your own liking, which is more than enough to satisfy any guitar player’s sonic fantasies of distortion, reverb, chorus and echos! And yes the distortion is BEEFY!

This is definitely a highly versatile unit with quality effects processing that makes playing guitar FUN! It keeps your mind in a creative musical mentality as opposed to forcing you to go to the technical side of things where you end up getting lost in procedural processes and technical jargon.

The build quality feels solid with a metal enclosure and illuminated footswitches that are easy to see in different lighting conditions. It’s portable enough for practice but still feels durable enough for regular use. I didn’t really find any major downsides, but with so many features available, it might take a little time to fully explore everything it can do. That said, the learning curve is still much easier than most units in this category. Overall, for the sound quality, ease of use, and flexibility it offers, I think this is a great value for what it delivers and it’s a strong option for both beginners and more experienced players.

SO MUCH to explore with this SORAN Guitar Pedal

There is SO MUCH to explore with this SORAN JME-02 Dual Stomp Guitar Pedal. With over 125 Effects for electric guitar or bass, 100 drum beats, numerous looper tracks to play with and many many more guitar 'treats' it will take me a while to explore all the options at hand (or should I say 'foot' LOL) I just recorded some of the drum riffs and posted them for you to hear. The display is big enough, but could actually be a bit bigger. The fact that it has a battery that can be charged, means portability and flexibility so you can bring this pedal anywhere without needing a dedicated power source ... makes a pedal board just a little less complicated to set up. Looks Good, Sounds Great (so far) and feels really sturdy. What a great quality pedal for what I think is a very affordable price point.

Great features, but wish it could stay plugged in

This pedal has a ton of features and is really fun to use. There are so many effects and presets to play around with, and it’s nice having everything in one compact unit. The sound quality is solid, and it’s been great for practicing and experimenting.

The only downside is that it runs off a rechargeable battery, and my son really wishes it had the option to stay plugged in while using it. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it would definitely make it more convenient for longer sessions.

Overall, still a great pedal with a lot to offer, especially for the price.

Great Guitar Pedal with Looper and Effects

As an early student of electric guitar, it almost felt this would be too much but am glad I went ahead and got this anyway. This effects box has an incredible amount of filters and sounds and its really nice that it comes with internal rechargeable batteries with the included USB-C cable. The pedal size is a little awkward for me to use and it may just get better over time with continued practice.

This unit is all metal and very well constructed with a bright screen that is easy to see and pretty intuitive to use. I also really enjoyed the looper. Fun way to practice songs or build on different parts. For someone like me who is in the early stages of learning all of the different functions are great. This is something I will be growing in to instead of out of. This is money well-spent and feel it delivers with all of the functions.

Fun pedal but with a few drawbacks

The Dual Stomp is a nifty little “do-it-all” unit. Clad in thick white plastic with a color screen, the pedal feels more premium than its price would suggest. On the front are two footswitches that let you cycle through presets or activate the tuner, while the buttons provide immediate access to the eight main functions (noise gate, FX, amp, cab, EQ, mod, reverb, and delay), along with the drum machine, looper, system controls, and two dials for fine-tuning settings and volume.

Naturally, using all these controls is less convenient when the pedal is on the floor. To get around that, there’s a free companion app that gives you quick access to every setting while you’re seated or standing, and makes it easy to customize or build new presets. Each function comes with a wide selection of presets that can be modified, and you can decide which core effects are active and even change the order in which they’re applied. The result is something that feels almost endlessly adjustable.

At first glance the sheer number of options feels a bit overwhelming, but after about five minutes with the pedal I found it quite intuitive to navigate the menus and dial in sounds. Scrolling through the stock presets revealed a very wide range of styles, with Emo Punk sitting right next to Discoteck. In practice, that means one click might have you playing a mellow jazz tone at low volume, while the next throws you straight into ear-splitting thrash metal. Grouping similar styles together would probably make browsing presets a bit less jarring.

Overall, the presets are solid, though they feel less like finished tones and more like starting points you can learn from and build on. In that sense the Dual Stomp feels best suited to casual playing, experimentation, and home practice rather than as a serious gigging tool.

One area where that limitation became obvious was the tuner. When I tested it, the display bounced around a lot, swinging wildly from sharp to flat with only the smallest tweak of the tuning peg. By the time I finished, I was actually more out of tune than when I started. I’ve included a short video that shows what I mean.

That said, the pedal still offers plenty of value for the money. It’s a fun little box of tricks that’s easy to experiment with, and it doubles nicely as a headphone amp for late-night practice. The built-in rechargeable battery also makes it surprisingly portable, which adds to its appeal as a grab-and-go practice tool.

App controls, portable, and battery operated multi effects generator

This is the Soran Stomp Lite. It has the capacity to creat thousands of effects for your guitar or bass. It is compact, portable, and battery operated. Charge it with the included USB wire before use.

Important note: the built in amp and cab simulations are designed for use with speakers or PA systems. If you are plugging the stomp into a guitar or bass amplifier you should set the amp and cab effects on bypass to avoid unwanted noise.

If you want to fully understand this effects generator you should read the included quick start guide several times as you try out the settings.

There are effects settings labeled gate, od/fx, amp, cab, eq, mod, del, rev, loop, and drum. The stomp foot switches simply change effects in order - forward or reverse. When using the drum machine with 100 presets the foot switches are on and off. Pressing both foot switches simultaneously enters the tuner mode.

There are 99 pre loaded effects for guitar and base that you can get to by turning the edit dial or stepping on the foot switches. I did not like that the foot switches simply switched presets in order. I think it would be better to have the switches turn presets on and off or be mapped to a user preset. Although the battery is long lasting and power can be supplied by the USB port, I think it would be better if it also had a standard pedal power port. This effects generator is an amazing value for any guitar or bass player because it takes the place of many pedals. Each effect, in addition to on and off, has many settings so there are literally many thousands of combinations possible. Many of them are quite similar with echo, tremolo, noise, musical backgrounds, some sound nearly identical to me while others seem amazingly unique.

This stomp machine appears to be really well built and durable while being the perfect size for travel. The battery option also makes it a very practical and useful effects generator.

Bonus: An free app is a available for Microsoft and Apple platforms. The app also has a learning curve but it is very convenient for setting effects up in the stomp lite. The app is called Stomp Manager. The soranaudio Stomp Lite website has a link to the app store download and a pdf quick start guide download, The app makes using the stomp even better. It connects easily with bluetooth and makes it much easier to change settings.

Pretty cool bit of kit for the $$$

This thing is pretty awesome. Lot of effects and I can use it with guitar or bass. I do wish it came with a spot for a 9V power supply but I can't think of any other complaints so far. I honestly thought it would be a plastic housing, but it is metal!
