It's a leveled-up shotgun microphone!
This Sound Shark is absolutely amazing! It's like a leveled-up shotgun microphone, with more distance and more sound exclusion.
I took a video of my house fan going, the beginning is without the Sound Shark and you can hear the general sound of the fan bouncing off the walls and into the mic. Then I plugged in the Sound Shark and you can hear it transition to just the sound of the blades cutting through the air (taking out the extraneous noise). Super impressed! I think it's a great value for what I paid!
It's great quality, super easy to use (just point it at what you're wanting to capture or attach it to your DSLR), super sturdy (seems to be made of super high grade materials), and already had the lapel mic attached, ready to go (user friendly).
