Would Be A Great Product If ...

Giving it 3 stars - build-quality: Upon inspection of received webcam, I noticed a small nick on the cable, but didn't think anything of it. When plugged in, the viewing angle of the webcam was perfect, exactly as I needed for exam purposes, but there were flickering lines across the screen. On a positive note, the build-quality of the webcam was good. I would have been extremely pleased with the product if it worked properly because it felt sturdy. .. Nevertheless, though I had high hopes for the webcam, it seemed damaged, and I had to return it.

Great Results for the Price

For the workplace, this camera provides a more full picture for your web and zoom calls than a built in camera will. See image for comparison.

Pros: Price & Quality for the price, ease of use, versatile mounting bracket.

Cons: Quality suffers in large rooms where subjects are not close to camera.

We attempted to use this camera for a large group meeting and it began to suffer. It's simply not high enough picture quality to begin focusing on multiple subjects far away from the camera at a wide angle. But you get what you pay for! For small meetings and personal use, this is perfect.

Worth the price tag, For professionals, great wide camera.

Great use it for zoom meetings and easily sits on top of monitor. Manual focus on camera is great, worth the price. Can flip down if I don’t want the camera in my face 24/7. I was using my IPad Pro / second generation for meetings and now that WFH is permanent this camera makes me look more professional. I use a headset during meetings so I have not tested audio at all

Great Mic for Speaking from a Distance!

I wanted to do a small Bible study in person, but there were additional people who couldn't make it for various reasons.

This is truly plug and play! No setup!

The camera wide angle is perfect for every one to see the room.

The mic is great it works with people 10 ft away speaking a normal volume.

One of the guests was nearly in tears because they couldn't make it but they wanted to join remotely and they felt like they were in the room with us.

Part of our study included a video. It was no problem to just turn the camera towards the TV to watch it!

I bought a tripod so I didn't have to carry the laptop around.

The cable is nice and long so it was easy to put the camera where I wanted!

Great webcam for the price.

Bought this to supplement my WebEx conferences where I show devices to trainees, integrated web cams aren't made for close hands on demos.

Overall it is a HUGE improvement over the factory front facing camera on my laptop and has far better resolution for showing details.

Inexpensive fix when dealt an unexpected life of virtual interactions (thanks Covid-19)

Not exceptionally loaded with features but easy installation and solid product for under $100.

Overall compares favorably to a Logitech webcam that I have to monitor my sons home school. (This would be good for that purpose as well)

Pros-

+Plug and play set up. Plugged it in and windows had it running automatically.

+Ability to manually focus on objects or people

+Larger field of vision (wider angle)

+Far better resolution than factory camera

Cons-

-would be nice to have some kind of auto focus built in.

-no frills it is exactly what it looks like a camera but no software or other enhancements come with it.

Just what I was looking for

So far used it right out of the box and love it! I teach Pilates Virtually. I needed a wide-angle camera that can capture a full reformer with a tower attached, and this captures that and more with great quality!

The image on top is my camera from my laptop, the bottom image is when I placed the webcam on top. I did not move the computer or change the lighting.

Broke within 5 months

Loved it at first. Now within 5 months the image won't focus. Have updated driver, restarted, uninstalled, reinstalled. Manual focus knob does nothing.

Terrible Resolution and Keeps Dropping

I use MS Teams so maybe this isn't compatible with that, but the resolution in Teams meetings is horrible. It's distracting to look at and hurts my eyes as the image appears to be "moving" with jagged edges everywhere. Check out the side of my face and arms as well as the edging to the closet behind me which is would expect to be smooth. I don't know how they got clear clean photos for the ad but that's not possible with this camera. Plus, during my 15 minute test I had to unplug it and plug it back in three times as it lost it's connection. Going back for sure.

Please don't buy this - terrible image quality

I spent a long time looking at different wide angle camera options and decided to get this one. What sold me on this one was the video review from a girl using the camera itself. It looked nice and clear. BIG MISTAKE. My images and video speak for themselves.

The first image is from an old inexpensive logitech webcam. The second and third images are a few min later after my colleague swapped the cameras and adjusted the manual focus. The wide angle is great but the image quality is terrible. Almost every object in the room is covered in pixelated static. Images of peoples faces are no different. Just take a look at the "crispness" of the door, the edges of either whiteboard, etc. I took a screen recording of it because an image doesn't show how bad it is. I'd be happy to revise my review if I received a faulty device or I can change the settings to make it better. Until then, please look for a camera elsewhere.

Not for chrome OS

Based on one of the product images, I thought this was compatible with ChromeOS but it is not. Cannot use on chrome book :(

False advertising. 640x480 webcam. Terrible quality

This camera is listed as a 1920x1080 HD webcam. The actual resolution is 640x480 and the quality is terrible.

The camera is plug and play and does work, albeit, at 480p. Had some issues with intermittent usb connection as well.

The recommended AMCap software is junk as well. Was unable to adjust the settings to achieve better picture quality.

Seems like false advertising and fake reviews.

Holy Crap !

I have used a lot of web cams over the years. The last one I bought was the Logitech C920. This Spedal 920 takes the cake.

Plug & play was a breeze, took about a minute to set-up. I had the camera pointing at my face, after turning the focusing knob, I saw things on my face that I never knew were there. Need to see a dermatologist.

The person that came up with the idea of manual focus is a genius. Holy crap! This thing is sharp. Colors are great, the entire image it produces is great. As others have mentioned, the only down side is that there is no mirror-image adjustment, so don't have any clocks or writing in your picture. Not planning on using it for video conferencing, running a weather cam so it will be looking out the window at scenery.

Great cam from all aspects. Just hope it lives for a couple of years, at least. In the attached pictures, the Logitech controller was an inch and a half away from the camera. See all those white things like scratches in the first pic? Those aren't scratches, it's dust. Blew it off and took the second one.

Two weeks later - Bought another one, this time the C922. Will use this one for video chat.

Very Wide Angle and Amazing HD Quality

This webcam is second to none when you take into account the wide angle and the HD quality. It absolutely blows away the previous web cam I've got (the Genius F100).

The only thing I noticed though (does not matter) is that it shows the mirror image of what it is looking at. In other words, if I raise my right hand, the video it shows, shows me raising my left hand. I first noticed it when I aimed it at the TV and the people on it were shown in mirror image. So if you intend to use it to show writing or classroom stuff on the screen (where everything will be backward, it is great.

But other than that, it is amazing. It is also very wide angle and gets most of the room in the frame. See photo (attached).
