It works
Sound is decent, i can hear very well and everyone can hear me talking. But i use it without the SS program cuz it makes to confuse the input and outputs ( mic and headset ), because of that probably ingame and textgame features does not work
For music is not very good, volume could be higher tho
But hub has weird shape i can not plug in anything without loosing another port
It also annoys me when pc goes to sleep mode it automatically switches to phone
Battery is perfect, i am forgetting to charge
For a price as your first headphone it is better than others ( i searched a lot ) but i would pay extra to get better model thro i heard some has worse mic ( on YouTube they said this one has bad mic but it does not have bad mic )
2 stars because of dongle i can not use with hubs…

Good sound and great mic. Keep your expectations in line though. It’s not a Professional gaming headset, but for the casual gamer looking for an edge it’s awesome. The physical headset is very comfortable and light weight. (I do miss the steel components of the older generations).
I primarily play Warzone on Xbox series X and am constantly looking for affordable ways to compete against these sweats. Footsteps and directional hearing are crucial if you want to stand a chance. I can hear the different material that the footsteps are on(wood, metal, gravel, grass, concrete). And the directional audio cues are superb.
My only issue is random mic drops. Occasionally the mic will stop picking up any sound, and the only way I get it to start working again is by turning the headset completely off and unplugging and replugging in the dongle to the console. Kind of sucks when you’re making crucial callouts and your squad says they didn’t hear a single thing. I updated the firmware via there SteelSeries app in hopes that was the issue but it still happens, less frequently but still happens.
Also it would be nice if steelseries made an app for the Xbox so you don’t have to connect it to the PC to do updates or any fine tuning. Although the steelseries Eq app on the iPhone is very Intuitive with tons of game presets. The Warzone 2.0 preset is what I find to be the best even after trying to do my own EQ.
OH YEAH! Don’t buy the white ones…trust me just don’t do it.

They are crystal clear and so comfortable i love them

They lasted exactly 1 year before breaking

Not “mint” scratches/blemishes. The product does function properly/fully charged. Just cosmetically used.

This review hurts a little to write as this is an otherwise excellent headset. The comfort and sound quality is amazing, but the main thing is that it works properly on every platform except Xbox specifically which makes no sense as this is why I bought it as well. I put the wireless dongle into Xbox mode and sound works perfectly. It is only when I join a Xbox party or Discord that either my mic is not working or I can’t hear my friends. Only after restarting my Xbox multiple times it seems to fix the issue.

The set up was weird having to update the firmware. After that, they were good. But I've had them for less than 5 months and the left ear piece is broken.
The battery life is great. I wouldn't buy them again.

microphone Does work

Broke from dropping it onto carpet maybe 3 feet looks like it already had a spot where it was thinner also randomly started shutting off while I was just watching YouTube.

I bought these because I had someone recommend them, they have good sound and the microphone works well and battery was never really a problem. but most of the time I tried to use these, the headset wouldn’t connect and I’d have to try for the next five minutes to connect them sometimes I would t even be able to. Also they broke real easily, I had let my brother use them and the broke easy in the side right above where the ear goes. I’ve had to use them like that and it gets uncomfortable.

My husband absolutely loves these headphones. They can connect via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to your device. I really think that the retractable microphone is a really nice touch because if you’re not using the mic, it slides back into the headphones for easy storage. If you are using the microphone, there is a dial to adjust the balance between input from other microphones and whatever you’re watching. We’ve been using them with our Xbox and they were great! Sound quality is good for the price point and they are comfortable on my husband’s larger head and my smaller female head. We’ve gotten great battery life out of it, but we do charge them after we use them every time. I also used it with my computer for some work meetings and the audio quality was really good. The noise canceling is pretty decent enough that you’re not distracted by outside noises. I would recommend them for any gamer or someone who wants to watch movies.

Compatible with all the devices. Have yet to try the mic quality in online gaming but recording for voice messages seem clear. Bluetooth connectivity is a breeze, swapping between 2.4GHz connection is easy. The headset is durable as my older Arctis 1 Wireless from 2020 still works to this day. This has 60+hrs rated battery life, it can easily charge fast enough as it has USB Type-C.

Dropped headset from couch onto carpet and the mouth piece broke apart and wires came loose. Surprised this happened with a product in this price range. Might go back to hyper x cloud.

Una maravilla estos auriculares muy recomendados

Headset showed up broken, and had the wrong dongle. I have no clue if it even was the Arctis nova 5x cause it didn't have a bluetooth switch on the headset. Sent me junk! Thanks 🙃

I recently got my Nova 5X, and I have to say—they are absolutely fantastic!
Unboxing & First Impressions
Right from the start, the unboxing experience felt premium. The packaging and build quality immediately gave me the feeling that I had purchased a high-end product. If you're upgrading from budget headsets, the difference in quality is very noticeable.
Battery Life & Performance
One of the biggest selling points of the Nova 5X is the 60-hour battery life. In my experience, it's slightly less, but not by much—it still lasts a really long time before needing a recharge.
Nova 5X vs. Nova 7X?
If you're debating between the Nova 5X and Nova 7X, here’s my take:
The Nova 5X wins when it comes to battery life.
The Nova 7X might have extra features, but the value-for-money of the Nova 5X is incredible.
Final Thoughts
For me, this headset is 100% worth it. The combination of price, quality, and battery life makes it a perfect choice. If you want a great headset for gaming without spending too much, this is a fantastic option!

If I could give half stars I would. If I could, I'd give it a 4 and 1/2, it's so close to being perfect, but some small things kind of bring it down for me. Since I have a larger head, and am a particular type.
I enjoy the headphones, but there are some things that I REALLY like, and things I DONT like. It's still OVERALL recommended, and for this price, is okay. Compared to the normal SteelSeries site, which is more expensive...sadly, but I would say, overall a good purchase. Especially if you are coming from a headset that is much quieter, which I was, as a RIG 700HS, to this. It was a nice shift, and change of pace.
Pros:
Packaging was nice for the headphones, feels very clean, professional, it was a fun opening experience, especially for those like me, who do not often buy the more "luxury" type of brands, or items.
Too bad the rest of my setup can't do that, haha, but still good!
The band at the top feels really comfortable, doesn't hurt the head at all, just overall a good feeling headphones
Simple mute button to mute the mic on the microphone, the microphone is also push in, and pull out, so it's easy to put away, and you don't have to worry about it, and it looks slick as well, without having a huge mic bulking out of it. Also, be aware, if you push it back, that will NOT mute it; you have to hit the mute mic button, on the back of the mic. It will give you a red LED, but don't worry...you can remove that in the App!
It also a chat mix, and game mix, to where you are able to raise, and lower between if you want things in your chat mix, like people talking, or stream elements going off, like follows and stuff, or you prefer your game, to which you cannot hear any of that. You can also keep it in the middle, where you can hear both.
A really nice feature, is the 2.4 ghz, to blue tooth. It's a simple button, boom, boom, switch back and forth. AND these headphones will lock into like your phone blue tooth, so you can have your headphones in blue tooth on your phone, and hit 2.4 at your computer, and later...when you hit Bluetooth again, your headphones will already be ready, and activated on your phone, if you had not turned Bluetooth off on your phone. It's a great feature, and really neat!
Cons:
Size: The headphones can seem...a bit small? I don't know how to explain it, but the arms that bring the earcups down more, for those like me with a larger head, it really doesn't go out much. So, those with big heads, can find it a bit worrisome, as I was concerned it might not even fit my head. The arms just simply don't go down that much, and support that wide variety of heads. But luckily! If you are thick headed, from left to right compared to up and down...SteelSeries has got you covered! It was great when it came to stretching it out to the sides...so that's a plus!
Shape: My ears are slightly too big, so it does sometimes shift and fall a bit for me, so that kind of sucks a bit, but the ears are still comfortable. Fits for long periods of time, so I don't have a problem with that! It was easy to setup, not a problem at all on the PC.
Software: My main problem is the software sadly...The idea is neat, but I will also say that, there are some issues that I would like to point out. Expect to do research to a degree on it, just because it's a bit more complicated than I would really say it should be. Now...I'm not talking about the EQ's themselves, that's fine. I mess with that, and I have experience with that, but for those of you who don't...
Sonar: Expect to rely on SteelSeries' Sonar. They have over 190 Pre-built EQ's...Some are really good! But others....or rather most...are not at all. So, expect to use the ones they have as a base model and experiment from there. So, really...to get the most out of these headphones, coming up with your own EQ is pretty beneficial for the best sound quality possible. There are some GREAT videos out there, if you truly don't know anything about EQ's, but truthfully? It's mainly just about going out and experimenting with it, and finding out what you like for your sounds!
I will say, another thing...I don't know, if this is just me not know it yet, (since I just got it today) or if it just isn't a thing. However, I wish if I was using Sonar, and i had launched Baldur's Gate 3, it would automatically switch to a Baldur's Gate 3 EQ, and or another EQ that I have setup for that game to switch automatically too. Then, if I launch another game like Batman Arkham Knight (which DOESNT have an EQ) but I've set my own EQ to it, then it'll automatically sense that game, and switch that set EQ. I think this is beneficial, and really makes it easier for those, who just wish to simply switch games, without having to go through, alt tab, switch EQ's, etc., etc. It's more of a small complaint I would say...since, Alt Tabbing really isn't that much, but you know, it's the little things!
Overall Message: Great Headphones! They work great, they're simple, they're fun to use, it's fun to mess with things, and if you have a quiet pair of headset, don't worry...This one has you covered! (Little Tip: Turn off Sound Limiter in the settings if it's too quiet for ya...Don't worry, we got you head bangers covered!) But other than that, it was a blast to use, and am content with my purchase!

Seemingly sturdy and comfortable headset with lots of options and a companion app. Love the hideaway mic. But less than 4 months in and the headset won’t hold a charge. I walked through everyone’s favorite bot based product support to no avail. Will endeavor to make use of the warranty process.

Out of the box, they’re probably the best headphones I ever had. And I had cheap to expensive ones. The sound quality is amazing and I can hear everything. Also the app helps out as well. But my problem that I’m having, is the comfort level of the whole unit. They fit well, but the comfort level for me. Not all good. But they’re also new and might improve after a while.
Besides that everything else is great about them.
Janine Norkum-Lazaruk
They have awesome features like switching between your game and your phone. The 300 different premade EQS are awesome. Music sounds awesome on them. Gaming has full surround sound. Mic even sounds professional. They’re made of plastic so they’re really light, but they’re extremely durable and the ear cups can be replaced. They have a dongle for you to plug into your Xbox, but it’s USB-C so you’ll have to get a USB-C to USB a and you’ll be able to plug it right into the front. The 60 hours of battery is amazing. Like I said, in the beginning, these are the best for the price in sound battery connectivity ease of access.
Corry V2
For the price point I don’t think you can get a better headset, the eq presets a game changer for Xbox, it’s comfortable and the mic sounds amazing

Extremely comfortable for several hours of use. The battery charge lasts me all week playing on the PC for several hours at night. The SteelSeries GG application is excellent for equalizing each content and monitoring the charge of the Nova 5. It has Bluetooth for when I want to lie down in the living room to watch a movie. series on my TV, app on my phone to go out and continue using them. Simply perfect.
