Product is 5 stars, but seller Dubreq ruined the gorgeous display box with shipping labels
I would have liked it better if Dubreq would have shipped it in a separate box and not have ruined the gorgeous display box it came in with shipping labels… one star for that… other than that it is cool for what it is… build quality is good, but in reality it is probably more an 80 dollar thing rather than 129… but then again almost everything is not worth the price with the government devaluing the dollar every chance they get.

Great quality for the price, sounds perfect
Sturdier than expected with a great retro look to it. Controls, antenna, and housing all seem to be good quality, nothing is loose or looks like it will become loose with regular use. Instructions get you set up and tuned quickly, 1/4 output is clear and tight (holds cable well), and the sound is very cool. Pitch is also perfect on the slide mechanism, and given the size that is pretty important, so I was glad to see it line up exactly.
The major drawbacks are the lack of direct power (6xAA only) and I guess the limitation of the size of the device. I am not experienced with pro level theremins but the size means that the range of detection / motion area is smaller, meaning that a twitch of the hand or finger can be the difference between an octave or two. The antenna is very sensitive, and directions say a range of 30cm for low tone is ideal, but after finding the null spot, low tone is at about 12-15cm for me. Maybe I dont have it tuned perfectly though yet. Given that theremins 3x the size can be 30x the price, it's not a big deal to me personally.
All in all a very cool device, and the addition of slide, delay, tremolo, and modulation make it very robust as a basic instrument / sound / tone machine. Antenna may take some practice, but within a few mins you'll be able to use slide/delay/modulation to have some retro spooky spacey sounds coming out of it. Would buy again if it ever breaks.
