SUNPIN 11.5" Portable DVD Player for Kids and Car

Broke 32 days after arrival.

Was great while it lasted. Arrived on August 20th, charging plug broke on September 22. Plug is directly under the elastic on the car DVD holder.

Worth the Money

My grandson loves it. I don't have headrest that raise in the back of my car. He is still facing backwards in the car seat. No worries I strapped it around the folding down console. I just had to criss cross the straps. I made it work. Great picture and sound. Hooked up to camper TV as well. He wasn't bored today! worth the money! I bought the two year warranty for $4.99.

Doesn’t work

Stated it does not play discs due to the region not supporting. The discs play in other dvd players and laptops. Very unsatisfying and likely defective as it looks like other reviews say that.

Road trips

Nice size for a road trip and picture quality is excellent. Sounds quality good. Light weight. Installation easy-to-use.

Bought this for my daughter who is now 4 and gets car sick easily as dramamine and things do not work for her, also not healthy, this little dvd player is a CHAMP car rides, camping, power outage. Love it.

It lasted 5 hours for me

I got this because we take long roadtrips to save our data for the kids. Quality is good , it’s easy to use and the kids can change it on their own. It comes with a case, and u can also hang on the car seats and let the kids enjoy. It also comes with a built in usb/ SD card to watch movies on our fire stick.

Best travel companion!

This dvd player is perfect for anyone who likes to carry movies for a long trip. The screen is a good size, lightweight, can be folded like a tablet and comes with a carrier to put on the headrest of the car. Great sound and quality for a decent price and functions very well for what its needed with good battery time. My little siblings love it for long drives, definitely recommend!

Time to retire this model

I got this particular Dvd player at Christmas because it had decent reviews and it was my daughter’s favorite color. She is rather nostalgic and still loves playing her collection of DVD’s. This was literally her favorite Christmas gift. She got a good 2 and half months and it just stop working. (see attached video). We tried atleast 10 different DVD’s and made sure they were thoroughly wiped clean but no luck. If you buy this DVD player, wait a few months before doing a review. Sucks to have wasted my money

No skipping always loads disc with no issues

I got this for my daughter for Christmas. She loves it! I have bought many others that quickly had other problems. This always loads no problems and is easy enough for her to use. Definitely recommend!

Great price and works well.

Purchased a portable DVD for my elder mother on long traveling trips. It worked great and kept my mother entertained by watching movies. Plus, the headrest mount is added for car rides.

Great Portable DVD Player

I bought the portable DVD player set for a road trip with my kids and they worked awesome. Great battery life and easy to charge in the car, as well. No issues with DVD playback quality either and they come with a handy over the seat holder. Very happy with my purchase.

DVD player was perfect. Came with a 12v car charger, remote, and mounting harness. Purchased for our first road trip with a 6 month and it was perfect. She was able to watch her cartoons and was not bored the whole ride. Volume is great for the backseat area and had the ability to connect to headphones for when she is older if needed.

Great for traveling

I bought this for a 6 hour drive with our toddler and it was perfect! Attaching it to the headrest was easy, it came with a variety of charging cords, and even in a vehicle on the freeway with the radio also on, the volume was great.

Super Amazing Portable DVD Player!!

This has got to be the BEST portable DVD player I’ve ever purchased. It’s a beautiful purple color, the dvd’s play flawlessly even during bumpy rides, and it’s a great size. Not too small, not too big and the screen turns so the little one doesn’t press all the buttons. It’s absolutely essential to have during long road trips if you have a toddler. My daughter loves it!! She’s 17months. A great buy and Highly recommended. Mom and Dad approved.

Excellent DVD player

Great picture! Very sturdy. This survived many falls! Good battery. It will be the second Supin we have bought due to the quality of the player. Comes with a DVD player holder for the car and a remote as well as car adapter. Screen rotates 180 degrees so you can hold like a tablet.

My grand daughter loves her DVD player!

Would like a pink one!- the box shows that a pink one was available when the boxes were printed, but I was unable to select that color and my grand really wanted pink this time. It’s great for our long distance driving.

Excellent product 👌

I like everything about this device except that it doesn't support mp4 files through the usb port. It only supports mp3 and audio. I use it for my son to watch movies in my truck. But I bought it for when we have power outages or wifi outages.

I purchased this dvd player for my 8 month old twin boys for our family vacation to Orlando. I love the fact that the player came with its own protective holder. It definitely made it easy when hooking it up on the seat. I love that it can run off of the battery for a few hours without being plugged up. Also, the remote came in handy for my husband and I for playing the boys movies especially when the older kids were sleeping. Definitely a good purchase. I highly recommend.

Worked great for about 8 months then stopped working. Has been kept in the headrest the entire time and only removed to change discs. Discs that have been played in it before are now reading “no disc/unable to read”. The car charger also has broken and is unusable (flimsy but my own fault for location). The cord came right out of the back of the plastic casing!

I am past the return time but I did register my DVD player with SUNPIN online and there is a 1year warranty which I am still within. After emailing with their customer service team we can to the conclusion of needing to send me a new player. The team was very helpful and cordial. I appreciate the help and am hoping this new one holds up better than the first!

I do recommend this player but make sure to register it with SUNPIN online.

Good Customer Service

This product sucks. Have tried to use it 7-8 times in the last 30 days. Only has been able to play a brand new dvd twice. Very loud screeching noise when DVD spins since day 1. Tried playing DVDs on a flat surface and in the car, neither way works right.

***Update** Customer service contacted us about our purchase. DVD player comes with a 1 year warranty. I sent in a video of the issues we were experiencing. Received a complete replacement in a couple of days. New DVD player works fantastic. Quiet, complete night and day difference. Thank you customer service.

Horrible product. Manufacturers will lie to you to get better review on page

I got this DVD player for my daughter because we were going on a trip to visit my mom a few months ago. I chose this one because I was in love with the teal blue color. On the plane, you couldnt hear the movie, even with the volume all the way up. (We tried 3 different headphones). No biggie. At least she could be distracted by the picture and I could use it at my moms.

I figured I could just use it for the car. Well, the sound in the car wasnt that spectacular either and the remote was near to impossible to use. You have to figure out the exact air coordinates, at the right angle, with tin foil on your head to get it to work.

No biggie, we can use it at the house to plug into the tv in her room that didnt have a dvd player.

2 days ago I brought it into the living room to see if it would fit in a case I bought. It hit the ground from the coffee table , which is about two 1/2 feet high and the screen is now inoperable :(

We are visiting my mother again in a few weeks so this was a horrible time for this to happen. Everyone else said the sound quality and remote worked great so I dont know if I just got a faulty one or what. I see the color isnt an option anymore. Really bummed this unit didnt work out and now I have to go purchase something else.

Update: after I posted the original review below, the seller contacted me and offered to send a replacement. As of now, it doesn't have any issues that the original item had, but I have not used it for very long. I really appreciated that the seller stood behind their product and offered a solution that works. Changing the review to 5 stars, but will update again if something happens with the new unit.

I bought this portable DVD player in May to use on our camping trips. We used it for the first time in June on a 2 week long vacation and had it attached to the headrest in our truck. After that we connected it to our TV in our camper using the cables provided, and was able to use it a few times that way. Then it just would not come on. The power light turns on, as shown in my review photo, but it does not make any noise like it’s powered on nor does it read/play DVDs. This was a waste of money for only a month of use. The DVD player wasn’t dropped or damaged and it was kept in moderate temperatures, so the only explanation is poor manufacturing.

Awesome DVD Player!

This has been a HUGE blessing for not only car rides but for sporting events as well!! My kids will not sit long for car rides or for the many sports games and practices we have to attend. This DVD player has helped keep them out of trouble and entertained and this mom sane. The battery life stays charged longer than the stated 5 hours, the user manual was instructive and helpful and I love that there are 2 headphone jacks so that both kids can hook in and listen with their own set of headphones (another fight solved) I saw in some review that people had trouble with their remote, but so far we have had no problem with ours. I just absolutely love this DVD player!!

Not a customer friendly company!

The remote control doesn’t work. Haven’t changed to new battery, just received 3 days ago and manual says battery included should last one year. Received 2 different cards requesting I contact them to activate my 12 mo guarantee and to receive my 2 free headphones. However there is no option available on the website to do either of those things and the message box is completely in Chinese. I do not read, speak nor understand Chinese. The product seems to be durable, has a great picture and sound is good! 1 headphone jack is great the other has to be just right or there is only an annoying buzz! Can’t rate the company because there has been no communication between us!

It’s so worth it!

I am sooo happy about this portable DVD player for my son! I have to drive 30 minutes back and forth everyday to take him to his babysitter so being in the car that long he would get really fussy. Sometimes he would cry the whole ride. Now that I have this I don’t hear one peep! Lol I’m very please. It’s loud enough and it’s a nice picture!

I hope this Review and Video are helpful - Having used it for several hours, this DVD Player does a decent job in several areas:

0-- The Menu System lets you control anything from Brightness to Contrast and more, to Display format, to DVD-restart memory On/Off, Language and Parental Control, to Setting a Password, or Reset to Factory Default

1-- Acceptably loud speakers with reasonable quality considering their size

2-- The screen (9" actual display area) is very sharp and bright with good contrast and excellent color

3-- You can turn the screen off should you want to only play Music CDs

4-- A Backseat holder for the DVD player + a Car Charger (cord is 5ft long)

5-- Excellent connectivity: Audio out (2 headsets), a 5' A/V to RCA cable for external TV, USB and Card ports

6-- Plays continuously even when shaken or hit

7-- Can play various Video formats (but not MP4)

Dimensions: 9.5" x 7" x 1.8" , 1.8 lb / 820 gr

What could make it better:

- Colored keys on the Remote for easier read

- Placing the Sensor of the Remote on the screen panel instead of the front of the bottom panel

- Show how full the battery is

- It did not read a USB flash drive I tried, or maybe it's just 'me' (SD Card was read fine)
