SVPRO 5-50mm 10X Optical Zoom IMX179 USB Webcam

High quality photos

Takes very high quality photos. The colors are a bit dull compared to my other usb cameras but this one is still pretty good

Manual focus, zoom, and aperture allows you to get shots impossible with typical webcams.

I use this to get video of radio operations. Videos taken with typical webcams didn't work out very well. It's all manual, and settings can be locked in with thumbscrews. This will get the video, other web cams can't get.

The picture in picture shot shown was impossible, before I bought this camera.

Fake zoom and focus controls

I like the camera, much better than my previous 720p camera, and for a very nice price. However, I do feel sorta scammed, the software the camera comes with is stored in a Google Drive instead of shipped through drivers, to make things sketchier google automatically assumes that the software is a bunch of viruses. I have no reason not to trust them since the software included has nothing to do with the specific webcam, it's some sort of trial to a screen recorder. The focus and zoom controls are fake, they don't move. I thought I was just being too gentle with it, but I ended up just unscrewing the lens. So those screws are just for looks, they do nothing. You can open and close the aperture, which is a really nice feature for any webcam.
