Can’t handle the sun
Got black spots in the screen when it was in the sunlight. Talked with customer service and they said:
“Based on the information you provided and the images you shared, the black spots you observed appear to be a temporary thermal reaction caused by the screen reaching high temperatures under prolonged direct sunlight. This is not a defect in your specific unit, but rather a characteristic shared by many outdoor display panels currently available on the market. When exposed to intense sunlight for extended periods, the display may show temporary discoloration or dark areas – and as you noticed, the shaded portion of the screen remained unaffected.
The good news is that in most cases, the screen returns to normal once the TV cools down after being turned off.”
They recommended that we shaded the full sun TV we bought to sit out in the sun. It was 78F outside when it was happening.
Other than all of that awful experience, the actual case and build quality of the TV seemed pretty good.
Overall, I cannot recommend anyone purchase this television. It does not live up to the claims.
It also has very slow Google TV software and a remote that feels very cheap for such an expensive television.
