The assembly came as described. The mounting to my Alesis drum kit was solid but not centered on the Alesis kick drum sensor.

Best for edrum, best value for $

By far the best pedal dollars to double bass.

While I somehow managed to be unlucky enough to break this in the first week, I still rate it a 5 and recommend as the best back up pedal (traveling) best for edrumkit ( the clamp position and weight are just perfect.)

Its not a "beginner" pedal, it's just no frills and best by far in that regard."

It handled blast beats for 2 weeks straight mostly left foot leading, doublestrokes etc and hitting harder than anyone ever should as a workout. The pedal felt better than my other two 900s. they cut costs on the linkages and such but if you aren't going to abuse and torture this, I mean really play over 200bpm and as hard as you can, this is really the only pedal you "need" and best money you will spend.

Son loves it except that the linkage bar keeps coming apart.

Bought this for my 16 yr old son end of July. He loves it..BUT..this stupid piece keeps coming apart! He keeps "fixing" it but I think we'll have to replace the part because that little pin keeps working its way out as he plays. Annoying to pay this much for something that won't stay together. Otherwise..it sounds great and he loves having a double pedal.

I'm new to drums, but wanted the ability to learn the left kick pedal in a year or so, hehe.

Construction is nice! Cast aluminum/steel with some nice accents. No creaks or stiff spots in beater travel. Return springs and are easy to adjust. I'm a mechanic. I wish I could say something more "drummery" . Nice bearings in the pivot points. There we go!

The quality of double pedal action is well worth investment.

The bang for your buck is well worth it. The double pedal action is incredible. Even works on my Alesis Nitro electric drum kit. Through adjustment of beater holders and clever positioning of beaters, it works fine on a small kick pad.

Practically perfect in every way... but one

Does everything it sets out to do and does it well. Speed, variable tension, heavy duty construction. The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is a potential design flaw (hopefully it was just a production error on just mine). The bolt that holds the right spring assembly on the main pedal did not sufficiently grab the pedal's axle. I could tighten the bolt all the way down, and it still wasn't enough to grab the axle. This resulted in the pedal burying itself against my kick drum head 5 minutes into using it. The fix? I salvaged a much longer bolt from my single pedal and it works great now. See the attached image to see which specific part I'm talking about.

Got it originally to use when I'm not using my double bass drum setup. But it works so awesome, I haven't used my second bass drum since I got these pedals.
