I can't say enough about this antenna. It is amazing. We put it together with the instructions. (The picture on the box helps too). We installed it and Boom....from 4 channels to 88. It's phenomenal. Awesome clear reception. Durable parts. Easy to adjust. Super easy to use. Just put it up and plug it in. Powerful Antenna!!

Fantastic Reception. Big and Ugly.
It’s big. It’s ugly. It works fantastic. Receiving lots of channels in a rural area. Installation was simple if you are moderately handy.

Televes DAT BOSS Mix LR 149884 works great!
I have been installing antennas since the late 1970s. I installed a Winegard HD8200U along with a Channel Master X7M26 preamp. I used an RCA VH226E rotor.
This week, we had a massive wind storm that caused all kinds of power outages and damage in the Cleveland, Ohio area. My RCA rotor sheared off at the mast mount, sending the antenna crashing to the ground.
I replaced the setup with a Televes DAT BOSS Mix LR (model 149884) and a Channel Master CM-9521HD rotor system. After installation, all my channels came in perfectly without even adjusting the rotor. WJW (FOX 8 in Cleveland, Ohio) is notoriously hard to receive, but this antenna pulls it in strongly—even when I remove power from the amp.

Worth the money buy this antenna
I bought my televes antenna from menards so I didn't have to wait to receive it. I live in Peru, IN which is a very low laying area that's 70 to 75 miles north from Indianapolis, IN with tons of trees and hills in the path of the broadcasting towers. I have this antenna about 35 feet in the air and pick up about 90% of the channels coming from Indianapolis. I highly recommend this antenna for anyone who lives very far away from the broadcasting towers or live in a unique area like I do. The assembly was a bit tricky but thanks to youtube it was easy to follow along. I also highly recommend you assembly this either in a garage or outdoors as it won't fit through your doors inside a house due to the length and width of it once assembled. It weighs just over 12lbs and I recommend you use 4 guide lines if you mount this on a mast (like I did) vs an actual tv tower. Don't listen to these negative reviews as they're most likely clueless on how to set this up and use it correctly. One last thing the atmosphere and weather conditions will effect your reception the further away you live from a broadcasting tower.

This Little Alien Spaceship Works Wonderfully
Setting this up took a few minutes and getting it up to the roof took a few more. Installing it was very straight forward. Pointed it using a compass and an app to find the degrees from my major broadcast antennas. We're getting over 90 channels with 70 of them coming in very strong. There is an antenna in the attic we plan to combine and see if we can pull in even more.

Works great
I live in an area with a National forest between me and TV transmission towers. I also have towers in 3 different directions. This antenna picks up all the local stations within 45 miles. I aimed the antenna at the Farthest away tower. It gets the all Stations with a strong signal. would recommend this antenna. After 4 months of use I can say this antenna works great. Even with a half inch of ice covering it, Still got great reception on all channel in my area.

Powerful, clear signals from afar
In my first picture, you will see it on a 1” galvanized conduit up only 4 feet off the patio. It brings in all the channels, even those afar, without having to rotate it. I am a TV addict. I desire the best. So far it seems I have it.
Warning the second picture is of the one I took down. I won’t mention the brand. It only lasted a few months before the plastic cracked rotor motor failed. Im old and had to go up on the ladder again. Although it worked good for a while, it was cheap. I do not recommend buying a cheap “ high tech” antenna, ( they don’t last) and the consequent effort it takes to put a new one on.

Excellent Antenna pulling in stations from 40+ miles away.
Prior to the summer olympics, we made the decision to mount an antenna on our roof. I did my homework, and this antenna had great reviews, and did not disappoint. It seems solidly built, and most importantly it performs. I believe the amplifier that comes with it is a plus.

Tried the rest? Try the best!
I built a carport canopy over our camper to keep it cooler and protect it from the weather. The camper came with an integrated King Jack antenna on top which actually surprised me that on clear days would pull a channel I like from 79 miles, but the steel canopy has since rendered it utterly useless. I mounted this Televes off one of the carport legs not more than 12' high and even under unfavorable conditions it provides rock solid reception with apparent ease. A bit pricey compared to some but I'll definitely purchase this Televes again if anything ever happens to it. And huge props for the incredibly comprehensive assembly sheet because it's not something you'd want to tackle with the vague instructions so commonplace today.

Happy I cut the Cable
This Antenna is Great, Picks up all locals from one direction. Some Towers are 80 miles away. Some trees in way, but still picks up. My lowest signal quality is 45 to 50 and that is from a channel from direction antenna is not pointed. Channel still clear. This antenna was recommented by Tyler the Antenna Man. I paid him for a for a recommendation and his info was right on. If you are on fence about cutting cord, let Tyler do a antenna recommendation. This antenna saving me 100.00 or more a month. I also install a Tablo Gen 4 DVR and that is great too.

Best Antenna Technology for the modern TV
I live in Southern California, in a valley surrounded by mountains. The closest towers are 70+ miles away in Los Angeles County. The Televes antenna, DAT Series BOSS Mix LR Outdoor High-VHF/UHF HDTV Antenna is the best antenna ever. I have a garage full of GE, Mohu, RCA and Channel Master antennas. Each one of these offered a compromise where I had to accept the fact that certain channels would not be available.
After installing the Televes, I received every channel I wanted totaling 126 channels. This is the best antenna ever, at a reasonable price.

This antenna rules the waves!!
In 2020 I took down an extremely large winegard antenna for renovation. I think it was 110 inches long and to buy is over $300. It was the only thing that would pull in the high VHF stations at my house. I live 30+ miles or so from the towers and there are large trees in my neighborhood. This Televes changed all that. It’s a newer style Yagi and I went from receiving 36 stations to 81 stations immediately. If you have hard to get high VHF stations or even UHF, I highly recommend this antenna. It’s smaller, and although there is some assembly required, it was not too difficult and it’s solidly made. No pixelation at all so far on a hard to get FOX and CBS in the Cleveland market.

Can't get much better than this when cutting the cord!
I bought this antenna on a recommendation from the YouTube channel Antenna Man. He has a service where you pay him to give you advice on the best antenna for your location. We live about 50 miles outside Chicago and this antenna gives us about 70 channels! Highly recommend!

THIS ONE DELIVERS
This was easy to assemble because it was well-designed and constructed of quality materials and machining.
As far as performance goes, it delivered 146 channels from a broadcast antenna farm 60-miles away and it is mounted only 10-feet off the ground. All of the reception is rock-solid with no pixellating, freezing, or loss of sound.
I attribute that to a well-designed antenna and a dual-channel VHF-UHF preamplifier built into the antenna that also incorporates automatic gain control.
This antenna was money well-spent.

Don’t believe the hype
I had high hopes for this antenna. I did a lot of research it fell short. I bought it to replacing my Clearstream 4V antenna which was able to receive 120 channels. The Dat boss could only receive about 80 channels and most of them had pixelation. I was very disappointed with this Televes Dat boss antenna..

High quality well built.
Big antenna work better in weak reception areas picks UHF and VHF channels better than the motorized ONN amplified antenna from Walmart that claims 150 miles. Pros. You can receive channels without powering on the pre amp this is very good if the power inserter or pre amp fails.

A BEAST OF AN ANTENNA!
You won’t be sorry with this one. As with all antennas, make sure the one you are purchasing is the one that is for the frequencies broadcast in your area. I actually had a much smaller antenna that picked up 85 channels, but two of the main channels were high VHF (CBS and ABC) and they just pixelated with a weak signal. The UHF channels were fine. Enter this TELEVES antenna! Low and behold, 101 rock solid, five bars, no pixelation channels and I am a happy camper. Absolutely no regrets buying this over a ChannelMaster or Winegard. And let’s be honest, it looks a hell of a lot better, too!
So here is the math: Equivalent ChannelMaster would cost $199 plus and additional $99 for a Pre Amp. An equivalent Winegard would be $135 plus and additional $99 for a pre amp. The TELEVES is $179 with a dual channel auto gain adjusting pre amp built in right at the active elements. Voila. No need to look anywhere else! Trust me. This is the best antenna I’ve ever tried. If you have an old ChannelMaster or Winegard, specifically one of the very large antennas for UHF and VHF, then this would be a lateral move, and not necessarily any better. If you have a smaller antenna that promises the ability to pull in VHF and you’ve found out that that isn’t true, then this is definitely the best option.

Best Rural Attic Antenna
Cut the cord 6 months ago with a Lava antenna I had in my attic (3rd story) since 2016. I am 54 miles from the towers in the city with no hills or mountains between us. Picture was perfect sometimes but sometimes no signal at all. I tried pre amplifiers and amplifiers, and still had intermittent issues. I read and watched so many reviews, and tried to find someone to come out but had no luck. When I ran across the Televes antennas, I used FCC.gov DTV reception maps to determine which unit I needed. I used Antenna Point app to determine which direction the antenna needed to point. I watched the You Tube video to help with the assembly of the antenna. As of now, I have better signal quality and a stronger signal than I have seen in the past, even on good reception days. I’m waiting for a foggy morning to see if I can still get a picture but as of now, I am tickled pink to not have to fight this signal battle any longer. Thank you Televes and thanks to Antenna Man as well.

If its receivable this antenna will receive it.
First off, kudos to the Televes Tech support, who provided personalized support when my dumb butt mounted the antenna upside down at 70'. He verified a simple way to flip the antenna using the tilt bolts without removing the clamps and trying to flip the antenna around the opposite side of the mast.
Previous antenna was a 8 bay bowtie with a CM7777 preamp. First thing I noticed after getting the antenna installed correctly, was I was able to get a low power station 65 miles away I didnt even know existed. Second was this morning when light tropo allowed me to pick up three stations, one 185 miles away on UHF (see picture), and one 75 miles away on VHF. All my locals came in at 100%, even the low power ones.
Antenna is mounted at 70' but is still lower than surrounding hills, so all stations are 1 edge or more.
Tested antenna without preamp, and still received all stations at >95% signal strength.
Highly recommend this antenna for anyone wanting a rock solid antenna. Take your time putting it together, watch their video on YouTube, and double check everything so you dont have to install it twice like I did.

For long-range reception, great! PBS 92 miles away!
I’m sure that everyone’s installation is quite different, but mine required climbing up and down my 35 foot tower. This antenna was not difficult to install to the mast and that’s good. Reception is fantastic!

This thing is MASSIVE!
First off the screws were not all there. But I was able to find replacements for the M6x12s in the house. Then the attached instruction was inadequate. However there is a helluva installation walkthrough on YouTube. Just type the name of the product and installation.
Next step now is to find how the heck I’m going to mount this thing. It is LONG! The mounting brackets are on the side. I am going to most likely need to get someone to come and plant a pole. I am NOT climbing any roof. No freaking way! 🤣 Did I say this thing is ginormous?!
Will write another review after its been installed. Wow!
September 10th 2022, 2 months review: I ended up getting a 16 foot half-pipe kind of rod for $30 from Lowes. I got oversized washers and bolted it onto a post on my rail. Then ran the wire under the deck and into the house. The reception is unbelievable. I have not encountered any pixelation at all. I went from getting around 12 stations to 86! Very satisfied. 10 Stars!

Solid product that is worth the money.
Since I live about 70 miles northwest of Orlando Florida receiving stations can be difficult. I first tried a small antenna (RCA Outdoor Yagi) in my attic and that did work but the station’s signal was not reliable. My signal strength would be in the fair range of 50% to 70%. With the Televes 560483 Preamp Amplifier my signal strength increased by 20% to 40%. Also, the signal quality improved about the same percentage. Now the stations that I receive are coming in strong and reliable. I did take my setup one step further by purchasing a Televes DATBOSS LR Mix Hi-VHF UHF 149884 antenna. This antenna is another great product made by Televes. With the Televes DATBOSS LR Mix Hi-VHF UHF 149884 antenna my signal strength went to 100% for most of my stations and the signal quality improved. Both of these Televes products are well made and should last a long time.

Antenna is Amazing for Long Range Reception
Our house is located in a fringe area in East Texas. We pick up 56 clear channels with this antenna- most of the transmission towers are 65 to 69 miles away. The antenna is also very well built. I would highly recommend this to anyone with hard to get UHF stations.
