All prose, not text, makes reading a challenge
Be forewarned. The book is not written in standard text form, it is written as prose/poetry, in verse. While this may add beauty to the story, it significantly detracts from the readability of the book - making it choppy and disconnected. As an adult, I found it unpleasant to read, and I suspect younger readers will as well. It was a huge disappointment as the idea behind the story is very valuable.

Missing Pages
I bought these books to supplement the missing ones in my classroom library and as the kids were reading, they pointed out that the book skipped from PAGE 54 TO 183, THEN PAGE 214 TO 87, AND THE ENTIRE SEQUENCE OF THE BOOK IS MESSED UP. This completely derailed my teaching and now these students do not have their own books to read as we make our way through our unit. Unacceptable.

The book came to me ruined.
This is a gift for a child. The book is ruined. I ordered it new so there should be nothing spilled on it. I am not happy about this situation.

Just opened this, the book is brand new but back of the book is scuffed up as well as the side of it. Box was not dented and everything else in the box was in perfect condition!

This was suppose to be a Christmas Gift. It came defective. Torn from the back through about 20 of the last pages of the book. Returning for a refund.

Worth every penny and easy to read.
This book is easy to read. My 8 year old enjoyed the book and couldn’t wait to narrate it to me. She ever so often would say “Mommy, this book is funny”.
