“Multi-Tasker”

Even though there are many products out there that will play our “old” CD’s, this one checks off all the boxes I was looking for (and then some).

The Retro look is pleasing and goes well with our decor. Even though the built in speakers aren’t anything to brag about, I knew they weren’t going to be when I ordered it. I knew that value was going to be its versatility and (in my opinion) it does not disappoint in this regard.

Other reviews have gone into the technical pros and cons so I won’t go there. For my purposes, it seems to be well built (so far). I also like the portability and the rechargeable battery capability. I get the quality sound using my wireless headphones or attaching external speakers to it.

I do believe that it has been priced at the high side its value vs price, but that is something that the buyer will have to decide on.

It is easy to use and understand the instructions. You should be up and running in just a short time.

I can absolutely recommend this CD player.

Compact, portable with retro style!

Love this! Looks like a retro record player on a smaller scale. Compact size, but so much look for a shelf. Sound is good - it’s what you would expect from a player this size. Very portable - good value!

Classic CD playey with clear sound quality and digital output with many features

Here is a classic CD micro stereo system. It is small and built of plastic. The included two speakers are built in for stereo sound. One good thing about this is that you could upgrade the speakers for better sound quality by using external bluetooth speakers. It will play CD, FM radio, and has bluetooth receive and transmit. It has a rear jack for an auxiliary input, optical output for a DAC, SD USB jack, and a USB-C charge port. Batteries are built in.The front panel controls selects the volume and other controls like the on off switch. For a cheap system, it sounds okay. It is suitable for background music like in an office environment. The remote control is basic but it works. I connected it to my phone via bluetooth and was able to play music. I also played a few CD/R's, and they played fine. So, overall, it's a pretty versatile micro system that sounds and works good for its size and price. I like that it has an optical digital output. So, you can add an external DAC and play CDs through a stereo system with good sound quality. I connected an optical digital cable and fed it into my Rega DAC. This is where this CD player shines! It sounds really great connected to an external DAC.

Sound without Wires! Attractive desktop CD player. Long battery life

This review is for THINKYA K10 Bluetooth CD Player with Speakers for Home, Rechargeable | Remote Control, Bluetooth 5.3 Input & Output, USB Playback, AUX Input & Optical Output, CD-R/RW & MP3 CDs, Retro Wood-Style

ThinkYA offers many variants of CD players and a great idea too, like others they offer, this CD player requires you to manually put a CD on a spindle, it locks in when you hear a click. Removing the CD requires you to slightly bend the CD until the spindle releases it. From there you can use the remote or the buttons directly on the device. Easy to use, connecting bluetooth is straight forward, just like any other BT device so that is easy too. The speakers are directly facing you and is a nice device for smaller spaces like an office, RV, not great for a large room, however, if you want to you can as there are multiple outputs to make that happen, optical, Bluetooth and direct wires, Very portable and rechargeable. The appearance is very nice.

Great CD player with lots of input options but sound quality is nothing special.

On the plus side, it can play CDs on its own, as it has a pair of small speakers at the front. The two speaker-looking decorations in the back are just for looks. It can also play via Bluetooth connection as a receiver from a phone or other devices, or as a transmitter to headsets and wireless speakers.

I tested it as a receiver with my iPhone and as a transmitter with a small wireless speaker and in both cases it worked flawlessly without any issues.

It can also receive music signals through the AUX or USB. I tried both inputs with a small music player and had no problems.

It is also worth mentioning that the CD player has an internal battery that allows it to play music without being plugged into an outlet. This is great if you take your music, like me, everywhere I work around my house.

Now for the bad, the sound quality is nothing special and even my phone sounds better with its tiny speakers. They recommend using the optical output to external speakers to get the best sound possible but I didn't try this option.

Also, the buttons in the front don't work very well to control all the actions in the device and it is much better to use the remote to be able to control everything that this player has to offer.

In my opinion, this CD player is pretty good at having a lot of playing options but not enough sound quality to justify the high price tag.

Retro CD Player That Brings Back the Joy of Physical Music

★★★★★

I got this mainly because I still enjoy playing CDs, especially some of my older music that is not always easy to find on streaming. The retro wood-style design looks really nice in person and fits beautifully in my music corner without taking up much space.

It is simple to use, with easy buttons on the front and a remote when I am not right beside it. I like having the option to play CDs, connect through Bluetooth, or use USB/SD playback depending on what I am listening to. The built-in speakers are clear and more than enough for casual listening in a bedroom, office, or smaller living space.

It is also rechargeable and portable, which makes it easy to move around the house. A lovely little music player for anyone who still appreciates CDs but wants modern listening options too.

Compact CD player with great nostalgic charm

This CD player is compact, but it has a surprisingly nice sound for its size. It played a CD right out of the box without needing to be charged first, and I was able to listen to a couple of songs immediately.

The remote is a useful addition and gives you more control over the settings, including bass and treble adjustments, as well as skipping tracks. I like that it has a retro look while still offering modern features.

This would make a great gift for anyone who still loves CDs or wants to bring back that nostalgic 90s feeling of putting on an album and listening through it. Overall, it is a fun, nice-sounding, and compact CD player.

Wonderful CD Player With USB & BT

I have reviewed a number of THINK YA audio devices and have found them to sound good and be well made.

To commission this CD player, I bought a new copy of the Carpenter’s Singles during Prime days. Karen had such a lovely voice, and it comes through loud and clear on this CD player. CDs are not dead; they were taking a break. Something about physical media that gives a different pleasure than streaming. And you own it unlike digital purchases. Seems like every month some company is killing off books, movies, music that you thought you owned but turned out you were only renting it. Not so with physical media like print, disks and vinyl.

I used a 1988 Onkyo preamp I purchased new and recently refurbished to hook this player up to. It doesn’t have an optical connection (too old) so I purchased an optical-to-RCA box to interface with the player. I like using the preamp as I can control balance and the usual tonal changes I desire. I pumped the audio out to a set of powered Edifier speakers. Pretty good sound. See pix.

The USB works well up to a 32G FAT32 drive. The Bluetooth will only play through the player’s speakers and not through the optical connection. Bug for THINK YA to fix but not a deal breaker. The remote works well to make any changes to inputs, volume and tone as well as power on/off.

I am building a new audio system with PreSonus Eris E7 XT studio monitors and a Dynasty PX2 preamp that I purchased during Prime days. I plan on connecting the K10 to this new system. Since the PX2 has BT, I’ll use that if I need to.

Fun small CD player

Simple CD player but great fun! It also doubles as a Bluetooth speaker.

Some of us still have our CDs in our CD albums we bought to keep in our cars like all the cool kids!

The sound is great on this player, and it’s so small! Great for small spaces! It comes with a remote control, USB plug, and a wall adapter!

Great gift and because it’s also a Bluetooth player, it’s not obsolete technology. Love it!

Nice-Looking CD Player That Functions Well and Is Convenient to Use

Even though I listen to most of my music through streaming services nowadays, I still have a small collection of CDs that I like to enjoy from time to time, so I was glad to purchase this “retro” CD player. Apparently, the “retro” label is based on the faux wooden appearance around much of its body. However, that image is somewhat marred by the plastic lid that sits on top of the player to protect a CD that is spinning.

One of the nice features of this player is that it runs on a rechargeable battery, which can be recharged with the included USB cable, so you never have to plug the player into power, and can use it outdoors or anywhere you want.

The controls for playing a CD are standard, and they work fine. You load the disc at the top of the player, so there is no slot to deal with for loading or unloading. The player has output ports for optical and 3.5mm connections, so you can connect it to an amplifier, powered speakers, or headphones for improved sound quality.

One point that was not clear to me when I first used the player is that it includes two tiny built-in speakers at the front. I did not find any reference to them in the fairly detailed instruction manual, and I was confused at first when I connected the player to an amplifier through its optical output port and heard only fairly weak and tinny sounds.

I eventually realized that I had not connected the amplifier properly, and I was hearing sounds only from the built-in speakers. Despite the product description’s mention of “deep bass” sound, the sound from the built-in speakers was awful, with virtually no bass at all and very weak quality. But once I hooked up the amplifier and larger speakers properly, the sound was strong and fine.

The player has Bluetooth capabilities, which worked well to play music from my iPhone and to transmit music to Bluetooth earbuds. I did not test the player’s function of playing files from a USB thumb drive.

Overall, if you like the wood-grain look of this player or its ability to be powered by a rechargeable battery, then it might be right for you. If you are in search of superior sound quality or other audio-related features, the player is adequate, but nothing special.

Cute, compact, and handy — but speakers are weaker than expected

This little CD/Bluetooth player is so cute and I really like it. It’s compact and portable, which makes it great for travel. I also like that it comes with a remote, which is super convenient.

The sound is okay for casual listening, but the speakers aren’t super powerful and there isn’t much deep bass. They work fine, but they’re weaker than I expected for the price. It feels a little on the high end considering the speaker performance.

Overall it’s still a nice, handy little player if you want something small and portable with a remote. Just know the speakers are on the lighter side.
