Great wheel for the price
Solid force feedback and fun to use. Works with a lot of Xbox games, even some 360 titles with backwards compatibility. Great for the price.

Very nice entry steering wheel, definitely better than the Logitech ones. With a strong FFB and excellent shifters to make a good overall experience. If you're able to pair it with a Thrustmaster set of pedals with clutch you'll get a lot better response when driving. I've tried it in several games and it for sure is very detailed for every bump, corner or type of terrain.

Gear is fine, box is mangled. Good help is hard to find these days

Nice addition to the wheel!

So Ive been wanting to get a racing wheel to play all of my car games and honestly, this might be the best feeling starter racing wheel. Its very easy to install and easy to take off and tuck away for later use. When first testing it out in forza I was instantly impressed by the force feedback. Obviously it wasnt perfect out of the box, it needed some settings tweaks but that wasnt hard to do at all. The only two complaints I would have wouldnt be about the wheel itself, but the pedals. For the price I obviously wasnt expecting very high quality. The pedals are made out of plastic that easily tips over if you dont use both feet to use the accelerator and brakes. The other thing about the pedals is that they are very creaky. it didnt start out this way but maybe a day or two after use i started to hear the noises coming from them. I dont think that this will be a big issue because I am sure
WD-40 could get rid of the noise. Overall an extremely good starter racing wheel.

It was listed as Slight use well this was highly unacceptable

Got this for my son for Christmas to go with his Playseat Evolution Pro. Overall the wheel has been great. Only took a star off because sometimes it's finicky for the Xbox to connect to it even though the wheel has power from the Xbox. Running this on Series X. So much fun.

For the money its a very good wheel. How long it will last will depend how good you take care of it. Input and output feel is good and it gives a decent simulation. There are adjustment for the force feedback as well. Fit and finish is good and feel is good. There are better wheels, but like I said, for the price this is a good wheel. This is my 2nd wheel in 3 years. I kinda beat on the first wheel a bit. It did last 3 years though. The first wheel I purchased at GameStop which came in mint condition. I would have thought the shipper would have put the item in another shipping box with Styrofoam and bubble wrap padding. Over all its a good wheel. I did upgrade the peddles to a 3 style clutch base.

Very fun to play with, and it’s amazing how it turns up to 360° I recommend playing F1 and Forza.

Great wheel and great value.

Great product. Would definitely recommend. Only issue is that the clamp should be more durable because mine broke off when I started tightening it just a little

100% Garbage. Did not connect to steam AT ALL, there's forums on top of forums for this thing messing up or being undetectable. Not to mention it STOPPED WORKING. IN THE VIDEO YOU CAN SEE IT IS OFF. After hours of tinkering with this junk pile, it stopped turning on. Buy a logitech and save your time and money. This company better refund me 100% plus shipping. I never want to get anything this godawful ever again. Matter a fact. You should pay me for time wasted. Beyond pissed.

This is my first force feedback wheel. Took awhile to get it dialed in. I really like it and, for reasons that I can't fully explain, I'm a lot faster with it than with my old Ferrari 458 wheel. They keep calling it an "entry level wheel." I'm very happy with it.
Sincerely doubt that I'll ever feel the need to replace it.

I have used this wheel for less than 100 hours, and that is more than enough time to name this one of the worst wheel/pedal sets on the market. It's design flaws are substantial and it's overall quality is very poor.
The desk mounting solution is one of the worst I've seen.
You can't mount it on a desk more than 2" thick.
Once it is mounted, it constantly wants to slide around when in use. I've accidentally pulled this thing off my desk while playing casual driving games while it was tightened down as much as possible. The tiny rubber padded feet on the mounting bracket have a laughably tiny amount of surface contact to grab the underside of your desk. So what that ends up meaning is that you're forced to tighten this thing down as much as possible and wedge it on to your desk. The problem with that though is that the bolt receiving sleeve on the base of the wheel is practically glued on to the base. So after less than 50 hours of use, my mounting bracket completely broke off simply from the act of using it as intended by tightening it to the point that the wheel has as little movement on the desk as possible. This is terrible TERRIBLE design.
The pedals are trash. You can't use the brake pedal without tipping the thing over, so you end up having to use one foot to hold the thing down and the other to drive. But that doesn't stop it from constantly sliding away from you. Also, there's no clutch on them, so if you ever wanted to add a shifter, you have these waste of plastic garbage pedals to replace.
The wheel rim itself is 50/50 rubber and plastic. So for racing games, you're going to have your hands on the rubber bits, but for every other type of driving game, it's pretty uncomfortable to use, but works.
The force feedback is meh, but it's better than nothing. It is super notchy, and it heavily relies on the game your in to get any kind of semblance of realistic feel out of it. Even with hours spent tuning this wheel, it is incredibly hard to feel the grip of the car or any sort of road details. When racing, this means that instead of feeling the track and car and reacting to it, you instead have to memorize and rehearse every corner to find out exactly where your limit of grip is. It's not impossible, but it is definitely not an immersive experience.
The vibration in the wheel is garbage, just turn it off when you can. It feels like a marble getting shaken around in a thermos.
If you want an arcade like driving experience and aren't concerned about your gear constantly moving around, or are maybe buying this for a small child, this might be an okay purchase for you.
If you want a passable driving experience and care about getting a quality product for the money, pass on this one. It's not even worth the "starter wheel" title it so frequently gets. It's garbage.

Great racing wheel for the xbox one. I play Forza horizon 3 and Forza motorsport 7 with this wheel. Force feed back is great and really feels like your driving. This takes racing games to the next level.

This wheel is decent for starters (drifting or grip racing.) I’ve used this wheel for 5 months now and got my use out of it. But I wouldn’t recommend this wheel for DRIFTING. The major draw back is the fact that the wheel doesn’t self steer as fast as other wheels you can start with. You have to chuck the wheel hard to counter steer in transitions. If you drift IRL and want to supplement your seat time with a sim rig; I’d highly recommend investing more money into your wheel base. There is a detailed review you can find on Google by searching TMX vs TX (by xboxracingpro) that will tell you the major drawbacks of this wheel. If you want to learn how to drift, do it with a good wheel base. It will be worth the extra money.

Long time Forza fan and someone who really enjoys racing games. After years of listening to the Logitech vs Thrustmaster banter I went with the TMX for a few reasons. I can get pro pedals when I want to learn to clutch and I can add a shifter at a later date when I can handle taking my hands away to shift. Ive never bought or used a wheel outside arcades from back in the day like LA Rush or Cruisin USA/World. The quality of the wheel is excellent and while it looks like cheap plastic it doesnt bend or flex under duress of intense action on track as you "swat flies." Understanding what feels good to you is key to learning how to use a wheel. if you are looking for a cheap and affordable way into sim racing or just the immersion this is the wheel to get. Your chair and stand will cost more and this wheel will last you until you upgrade. Ive easily clocked in 100 hours before this review and have played many games on PC: iRacing, PCARS2, Wreckfest before and after the major PC update, Dirt Rally, NASCAR Heat 4 and even took it to Xbox One to drive around on Forza Horizon 4. Plug and play. You are not going to buy a better wheel for under $250. First time buyer and wheel user. I hope you find the same pleasure I have in this experience because its changed gaming for me. I like change like this! The picture I used doesnt reflect the self made rig I put my wheel into. You have to mount those pedals down some how or the will move. I am not on that glass table anymore. Secure the wheel and pedals for maximum use.

Got steering wheel Subsonic Racing Wheel Universal in the box instead of Thrustmaster TMX Force Feedback!
Returning it for the hopefully correct one!

The TMX is a pretty good sturdy wheel and feels really good and all but the pedals beware that the spring for the gas pedal can break after a while of useage said from someone with experience. Ive had the spring break on me twice already and they are metal. I literally had to hold my pedal up with rubber bands just so my car doesnt roll forward lol. Also I would recommend probably getting the pro pedals they loom like they are more heavy duty and will last longer. :)

Forza 7 and FH 4. Thought it would make driving easier. But, gettin the feel for the SWEETER AREA in throttling.. Is the challenge.
DOWN FALL..... GAS PEDAL LOSES SPRING VERY EASILY. HAD TO REQUEST 2X FOR REPLACEMENT FOR PEDALS. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND UPGRADING PEDAL TO 3 PEDAL PRO
Other than that. Love it

It's "OK". With regular use, the PLASTIC piece attached to tightening bolt WILL eventually break with semi-regular use. I can't believe they used plastic.

***UPDATE*** This is an update to the Thrustmaster TMX wheel. This is definitely an economy, entry level wheel. This really needs to be taken into consideration. This wheel/pedal set will last you up to 6 months, maybe a year. I bought the T3P-A pro pedals, which are awesome btw, to replace the very cheap plastic pedals that failed due to the problem described below. However, shortly after receiving the TH8A shifter and the new pedals, the clamp for the base snapped off completely. The small threaded cylinder that the tightening peg screws into on the base of the TMX Wheel completely snapped off. I can assure you that I did not at all over tighten this screw. I am still overall impressed with the other items I purchased. I do believe I will get a better base and wheel combo here eventually. However Thrustmaster, you need some better Q and A with your TX/TMX Series of wheels. This is way to common of a problem for you as a company to dismiss this as a "user error/ you guys are tightening the screw down too much" excuse. Even for entry level, this is an expensive piece of hardware, I expect a little better.
So, I me had this for less than 4 months now, and I use this moderately as I work full time and don't have time to race all the time. So I load up Project Cars on my Xbox One, and I start up a race(shifter-kart 125cc series) and upon coming around the third turn, and pressing on the throttle, I hear and feel a snap. I take my foot of the throttle and the throttle is now DEAD to the floor. I can lift it up but it will not stay up. It just drops back down, dead, limp...
Upon further inspection I found the spring had snapped that provides the resistance in the throttle(see pic). I am not happy, the slightest bit. I just ordered the TH8A shifter, and I planned on ordering the T3PA-Pro pedals with in the next month. But I am honestly considering returning the shifter, and not ordering the pedals. I do hope they can resolve this issue for me. Until then, I can only rate 3 stars.
As far as the wheel itself, Spot on. I am very pleased eith the handling and feel of the FFB, and the 900° rotation. The respond for the shifter pedals are fantastic and I would highly recommend this for a beginner setup, but be warned, the pedal spring has broken on me, under light to moderate use, and only after less than 4 months. Works great with Xbox, using a powered USB 3.0 block. I use it for iRacing and Race Room Experience as well for my custom built PC, fantastic, until it broke.
What sucks now, is my shifter arrives tomorrow, and I can't enjoy it.

just got the wheel today and tried testing it. It makes a clapping sound when turning right as long as the force feedback is on is this normal or should i return it?

Best racing wheel I've ever used!

I had the force feedback Microsoft Wheel for the xbox 360 and wanted something similar for the xbox one without having to pay $300-$400. This works perfectly right out of the box with the Xbox one. I only played Dirt Rally so far, but I am hooked and makes playing the games so much better. The wheel feels great and the force feedback is a lot better than my last gen. experience. I also purchased the "The Ultimate Steering Wheel Racing Game Stand" and I am also happy with this purchase as well. I am not sure what makes the other force feedback wheels so much more expensive, but this wheel is perfect for me and my family. I am not a hardcore racing sim person, but I love how this wheel feels and I can really get into the feel of racing. Dirt Rally is a great game for the xbox one and having a wheel is a must. This wheel is all I need.
