DO NOT BUY THESE, please look at the photos!!

These products always break here. That is unreal, man. I was a gullible teenager who was too lazy to do research and bought like three of these over 4 years. All of these break within a year. Granted, I used them almost every day, so an occasional user could probably get 2 years, but still, NOT WORTH IT. And 180 bucks??? They bumped up the price around 80-90. Absolute joke and an utter rip off, designed to be a shameless cash grab that encourages replacement purchases. Please spare yourself pain, buy yourself decent headphones. Unless you're a handy man, haha, because the electronics still work, its just the cheap plastic connection that broke. Still infuriating.

Break Too Easily

OK, I wish these were made with better material because I absolutely LOVE these headphones. They sound amazing, are comfortable, and Super Human Hearing is amazing! However, I keep replacing them over, and over, and over... because the bottom part, near the earpiece, keeps snapping off. This is, probably, the fourth time I've purchased these exact headphones, and each time, they break in the same spot. I don't treat them bad, I don't have a misshapen head LOL I use HyperX Cloud II headphones for PC gaming, and those have lasted me YEARS. I have no idea why these cheaply made headphones never last me and others do.

At this point I can't buy these anymore. I love the sound and comfort, but they just keep breaking on me. Because of that... I'm scoring these low. They've had FOUR chances, and they keep breaking in the exact same spot each time. Uhg.

Very Fragile Plastic!

The audio quality of these are great, but the plastic that holds the headset in place is extremely fragile. It had snapped in less than a year and now I have no way to fix them. If they weren't so expensive this wouldn't be an issue, but we all know that's not the case. Any suggestions?

Fragile Plastic

Great product until it breaks. Lasted just over 2 years.

Poor durability

Turtle Beach's headsets are of flimsy design and crack and break from gentle use shortly after the one year warranty expires. Mine (purchased in July 2020) snapped and upon verifying that it was (barely) purchased over a year ago, Turtle Beach refused to replace or repair it. For a $90 pair of headphones this is completely unacceptable.

Awful product

Awful product. Paid 80$ for the headset to be broken. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

Don’t purchase! Lasted a year and broke.

Don’t purchase! Bought these a year ago and they broke! I’m sorry for the amount of money they are and how little they’re used, for them to break it RIDICULOUS!

Plastic swivel broke

I bought these for the only game I seldomly play (BF4) and the left side plastic swivel sheath broke after not playing for over 6 months, just by taking them off. Good thing I'm a wizard with industrial tape. Just get the offical Playstation headset for the same sound quality but better build quality

Flawed design, extremely fragile. Do not buy these

I feel like I got ripped off badly. We bought four pairs of these headsets, and three are now broken over the course of a year — all in exactly the same way. A tiny ring of brittle plastic holds the earpieces onto the headband broke. This piece breaks very easily and completely ruins the entire headset. $300 down the drain so Turtle Beach could save $0.001 on piece of plastic.

Buy another brand

the 600's are junk, they are designed to break... I adjusted 5 time... 1 once to fit, then traveled two times and they were kept in hard case ... when slide to fit the adjustment lock ring snapped off. Not even 2 months ... been waiting a month for a reply and nothing.

After much fighting to get junk replaced the company finally replaced. Replaced junk did same thing 1 week after reciving ... weakest plastic ever compared to 500 series so my guess as model $'s go the worse they get... Used epoxy to make repair solid and then wobble hinge broke... so both sides are nothing but epoxy glue to make a functioning headset.

Headband breaks

After about a year or so of ownership these headphones will most likely break at the ear / adjustment area. I taped mine together and they lasted a little long but eventually you will get tired of replacing the tape so they hold together and want to buy a better made pair of wireless headphones. These worked great with my PS4, the USB and integration was so easy and they worked every time, almost never had any issues with that. I just wish the battery life was a little better, and they were made better around the adjustment area (maybe use metal jeez). I purchased these for $87 back in March, 2018. So if you want a product that will last longer don’t buy these or this model.

Unimpressed

As soon as I got to the end of my return period, they broke. The piece just came out and when it did, it broke the opening in which it plugs. I am extremely disappointed in this purchase and will be calling turtlebeach to see what can be done.

Great sound but designed to break

I'm on my 3rd pair of these. These sound great and work extremely well. I don't even use the superhuman hearing because they are just an awesome pair of gaming headphones. I bought a pair of Krone Kalpasmos Replacement Earpads and those improved the comfort of these a lot.

So why 3 stars? Because as I said, I'm on my 3rd pair of these. All of them have broken in the same place. (see pics) They're just designed to not last very long. I should've given up on these after the second one broke but I thought maybe I just should NOT put them on by holding on to the speakers. So with this last pair I've been putting them on by holding onto the part of the headband closest to the speakers. The part that doesn't move. Nope. Last night I noticed these cracks on both speakers. Thankfully I noticed these early enough that the speaker hadn't yet broken off and the piece that usually breaks off and gets lost is still there. I put some super glue and tied a zip tie around it to reinforce it. Hopefully this fix works. If you're no good a fixing stuff or expect these to take a beating keep looking. These are not the headphones you're looking for.

My headset

Look don't get me wrong sound quality is absolutely amazing and it's a great headset in that asspect but in regards to stability and how it's made is really bad. Keep this in mind I've never thrown or done anything to break the headset where it's my fault. When I got the headset it was fine for a few months and then the left earphone started to fall out of its place it was fine at first because I would just put it back in it's place but eventually the wire wore down as did the structure of the headset and eventually the whole left side broke and fell of completely and now i'm out $100 because off poor structure.

love this headset

can't get over the sound quality of these headphones and how much more it helps when playing a game that required extra sound to help figure things out

Lasted about 1 year. Decided to write a review for them now.

I bought the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Wireless for PS4 around March 2018. They have been sitting broken for about 6 months now, so I am out of warranty. I don't really care though. I finally decided to write a review, because my new (not turtle beach) headsets are coming today.

The headset still works, but the cheap plastic cracked all over the place. First, it was the left earmuff that cracked off. I lived with that for a while, the earpiece kind of dangling but if I messed with it, I could find a little support, even with the cracked spot. Eventually, I got tired of this and bought crazy glue and fixed it, and then the other side, the right earmuff, cheap plastic cracked and broke. I then fixed that one too. About a week later, the cheap plastic broke off in a NEW spot. Then I simply started wearing it with one side dangling on my head, and then the OTHER side broke off in a new spot on the cheap plastic. Geez. If I keep fixing this thing with crazy glue, the earpieces are going to look like the rings on a tree trunk, letting you know exactly how many times this thing has cracked and been fixed with crazy glue. Look at the pictures to see what I mean.

In the end, the sound and microphone in the headset is still technically working, but I can't wear it . I give this product a one star.

Earpiece cracks at joint

There's a lot of low reviews about the sound quality and short battery life of these, I've had two and never had an issue with either of those things, they operate and sound great. Some reviews complain about missing features, well you have to do research and find a headset that has those features, for instance, the 700's have seperate game/voice controls.

The issue I have had is where the earpiece connects to the band cracks (see the first photo). The first headset I bought I thought maybe it cracked after a drop and eventually the split grew until it would stay connected to the band. I eventually got another pair only to have the same thing happen and never been dropped. I managed to use super glue while holding it together for about a half an hour and then wrapping some electrical tape around it very tightly (see the second picture). But after another couple of months, now the other side has broken too.

If it wasn't for that they would be a great headset for the price which is why I'm giving it a 2-star instead of a 1-star rating.

Poor quality

I’ve owned this headset for a year, I’ve used it slightly, maybe twice a week and the rotating part of the headset broke, the microphone fell off and the connection was always bad, it sometimes only sound from one side. They’re too expensive for the quality that you get.

Junk.

Cheap. Junk. Buy anything else. Plastic broke in the mic side. Utter disappointment.

USB headsets are terrible in general and this is no exception

i bought this with high hopes and was crushed to find out that it does not play well with PC, the mic just completely stops working with Discord periodcally and i have to go through a stupid process of turning the headset off and then back on and then adjusting my Discord voice settings as if it's a new product that i just installed, and there's also the fact that the audio stops working on a less frequent but still annoying basis and on top of all that i think i just bricked them by installing firmware from the turtle beach audio hub app. i will definitely be sending them back asap...

Beware of buying used! (Even “like new”

I purchased this headset used against my better judgement. Figured saving $25 dollars for a “like new” used set would be fine since that is the highest quality tier for used items to fall into. Well the headset arrives with a mystery stain on the fabric of the headband, deep scratches on the mic, and what appears to be dandruff or other debris on the ear cups. This is the opposite of what I expected and honestly was repulsive. Could never recommend the seller of this particular used product ( turtle beach stealth 600 )

Not a good gamble for me.

Broke in less than 1 month

The sound worked well for me. I didn't like that I couldn't prioritize voice volume over game volume as much as I could with my last headset. After only a week or so a piece broke off and the right side falls off and hangs by the wire. I can't even place the headset on my head without it falling off. I've decided not to replace it and just find something else.

Endurance of comfort, clarity of sound

Fits my head comfortably with plenty of adjustment flexibility left over. I've experienced no fatigue during wear after 6 hour gaming sessions. I've walked from the living room (where my gear is set up) to the bedroom about 50 ft away and audio doesn't begin to chop until I hit the master bath. Stores flat.

I've never experienced this level of clarity in gaming audio before. Hell, the lower model turtle beaches I had before, I couldn't tell the difference between what was in front of me vs what was behind me. With these, I can hear sound cues and determine its direction with ease. And I love the mute function. Kind of sexy.

Excellent Headset In Every Way, Very Comfortable For Hours, Great Sound Quality, Works On PC Too!

Turtle Beach continues to live up to their reputation with the Stealth 600. This as an upgrade from my old Ear Force Stealth model. The 600 is a definite improvement in sound quality, good mic design, and especially wearing comfort. My older model had fake leather ear pads which got too hot and were too tight after a while. The Stealth 600 ear cushions have a fabric mesh that is much more comfortable on my ears and they adjust to a better fit for me.

The USB wireless fob is recognized instantly on both the PS4 and on my Windows 10 PC. That's a plus for me though Windows isn't supported and only used generic drivers. Setup was super simple to pair them. Mine had the latest firmware so no upgrade needed.

Some improvements from my old version are:

+ the mic flips in and out with a real docking position with auto mute when docked

+ the ear phone pads are fabric that breath and keep my ears comfortable

+ general sound quality is improved

+ surround sound worked well for me giving me a decent spatial sense

+ control position/operation is better than my old model

What isn't so much:

- these don't play as loud as my old Ear Force Stealth model (but I don't really crank the volume so they're fine for me

The Stealth 600 is a good upgrade for me. My ears don't hurt after a couple of hours with these, I get better spatial definition with surround sound, the mic (mute when flipped up is very nice) and overall design tweaks make these much nicer for me. Battery life is more than enough for my use. I usually only play a couple or three hours at a time and charge in between.

Turtle Beach has a long earned reputation for quality audio going back to the old PC audio card wars in the 80's and 90's. Compared to me old Ear Force Stealth model these are a definite improvement in comfort and a good evolution forward in other areas. Because this newer version is better than my older headsets I'm giving 5 stars to the Stealth 600. Good playing!

bravo

first off in my opinion turtle beach headsets has always been lacking in comfort. weather it be to much pressure on my head, ear pain or something else. this pair however changes that and is really comfortable.. the ear pads are mesh but are really soft. the added padding to the "pro spec design" really does help if you wear glasses. ( I do)

Mic quality, has been very good. playback seems to have a very slight possibly crackle whenever you say an s word, I have no idea how to describe it, other than that slight mic issue your our voice will come in loud and clear. It doesn't appear to be to big of an issue though as none of my friends have complained or brought it up.

the sound is great very crisp without sounding distorted. with four options to choose from, ( bass boost etc) for the price range it is well worth the money

UPDATE: after first day, I wore them without about three hours big win, and didn't have the need to take it off after five minutes to stop any discomfort from ear pain, sweat, etc

disappointingly there is no chat volume wheel which I thought the second adjustment was but it is only for mic monitoring. though I could stil hear my friends just fine after a slight adjustment of the in game master volume

side note the headset overall volume is not the loudest but i found it to be loud enough without getting a headache or feeling i have to adjust them constantly for explosions or drowning out your party chat, . ( also could be because I had lowered the game volume) I know some people like to turn the volume to 11.

update 2 about the mic. Its a non issue. Dont worry about it. .. I will update again after a few more days.

update 3: I put a pop filter aka a wind screen on the end of the mic ( see photo) . .
