Good Cheap Drawing Tablet

This tablet works wonderfully. I wanted a cheaper alternative to something like an XP Pen or a Wacom and was pleasantly surprised. It works as well as expected and honestly better. For the price, this is an amazing choice for beginner and even intermediate artists. The software I use is Krita and Ibis paint and they both run smoothly. The screen looks better than the computer I have it connected to. Overall I highly recommend purchasing this drawing display if you don't want to break the bank!

Good Budget Tablet

Does the Job, had a UGEE a long time ago and this one is definitely better than than one I had before. I like UGEE because I think they're nice budget starter tablets. Nothing really much to say, you can draw and the key binding is nice, the screen has a scratchy paper feel. The texture does kinda dull the screen but I bought this for casual drawing as I save up for a Microsoft surface pro or a Galaxy Tab FE+ so I don't really mind.

Very nice!! bur not Recommended!

Update: I don't like that the nibs are of such poor quality. More than the excessive wear, it's annoying that they end up scratching the tablet screen noticeably, deeply, and unsightly after just a few days. I don't know if it's worth the risk of the screen getting damaged so much and the nibs wearing down faster than the graphite in a real pencil, given the rather artificial, paper-like texture. I think it's pointless, and if the screen were completely smooth, this would be an excellent product since it works relatively well for drawing.

I absolutely loved the tablet; its size is fantastic. I'm an architect looking for a tablet to start drawing digitally. I suppose if you're a professional illustrator who's tried the big brands, you'll find some flaws, but I find it incredibly fun, comfortable, and useful for what I do. No other tablet offered the same specifications in terms of pressure sensitivity and sRGB color gamut at this price. So, if you don't want or need to spend thousands of dollars on well-known or even lesser-known brands, this is exactly what you're looking for. I have a Wacom tablet without a screen, and the only thing I miss a little is the quality of the pen tip. I feel like the Ugee tips could use a bit more refinement, as they're very thin (more for the sake of not damaging the screen with use than for the feel while drawing, since they give the impression of being a bit sharp). I really like the colors; they're vibrant, and overall, they deliver what they promise in the advertising, which is why I recommend it 100%. It's new, so I'll give my opinion on the quality, durability, etc., in the future. I hope it goes well. For now, I'm happy with the tablet.

I downgraded for comfort 👍

I originally owned a much bigger tablet that was just too clunky for me (and not to mention those dreaded buttons on the side), so I purchased this small, simple, vibrant tablet and I could t be happier. It’d been a while since I had fun drawing.

My favorite thing about it is the fact that it doesn’t have those side buttons 99% of other tablet styluses have. It just feels like a regular tool in my hand and not some ‘thing’. LOVE the color, love the feel, love the size, love it all!! 💚 ✍️

One hiccup, though that really isn’t even a big deal. I have a 2015 MacBook that I’ve owned for about 5+ years now and trying to hook up this tablet to it just wasn’t working at all. Now it could be the fact that my Mac is old and it isn’t compatible, but it started spazzing as soon as I hooked it up. there was no pen pressure or calibration.

I have a much bigger and better running laptop and it works perfectly fine on that, so I don’t have any complaints! Worked like a charm! 🫶💚

THE PROTECTIVE PACKAGING LAYER IS BLUE. REMOVE IT FOR FULL COLOR ACCURACY.

IF YOU BUY THIS, DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. REMOVE THE PROTECTIVE LAYER.

This tablet comes with a plastic film to protect its screen while in transport. This plastic film is BLUE. For a year straight, I thought this tablet had weak/unbalanced lighting that made everything slightly blue, but it was actually the protective layer I didn't remove because I didn't want to scratch it.

Remove the layer and replace it with an actual screen protector. It will greatly improve the visual accuracy.

Brief issues with the screen but overall a good tablet

I think this is pretty good tablet for the price.I bought this back in 2024 to upgrade from my previous ugee pen tablet and it’s still working fine. Definitely prefer having a screen and it’s helped me improve significantly on my art.

I did have some issues with the screen sometime around when I first got it. Initially there were no problems then suddenly couldn’t use the right half of the screen for a few days/weeks. I tried turning it on/off, unplugging everything , I undownloaded the drivers and restarted my laptop and still had the issue. So I just stuck to using the left side of the screen which was pretty inconvenient. It eventually went away and thankfully hasn’t come back but this was the only issue I’ve had with this tablet.

One thing I’d like to mention is I haven’t had any issues with my nibs being worn down like others have and Ive been making tons more art after getting this. I’ve only changed it out once but that was just to try I didn’t need to do it. Idk if I was lucky or they changed how they made the nibs but I thought I’d mention this.

Got this as a birthday gift for myself, and I do not regret my purchase. :D

I was looking for a table that I could use for digital art, creativity and something with good lasting storage for school. I received it last October so I’ve had the tablet for about 3 months now and I am happy with my purchase. The pen is still functional like new, the button response and the quality is amazing, the volume is great, and the battery lifespan is really good. Depending on the art App you get, the stroke quality is very good. in my opinion it’s better than a keyboard. I was skeptical for making the purchase at first, but now I am happy to say that it was worth the money.

Affordable and workable. Small odd design choice though...

Affordable and works great. Make sure to download the proper drivers as the instructions say or you might run into issues with pressure detection. Occasionally has "ghost taps" or phantom clicks but very fair for the price.

The pen loop's location is a little weird though. It gets blocked by the power cord. This could be fixed if the manufacturer moved the power cord into the left corner rather than having it dead center, OR moving the pen loop onto maybe the right-hand side.

Good design

Works really nice, it’s smooth, and I love the color mine came in. The cord was a little too small so I had to buy my own so that I can adjust accordingly. But overall it was a great buy :p

Also I really like the buttons functions, they are undo, redo. + size, - size. And eraser, pencil

dies almost instantly

it’s a little delayed/behind i guess is the best way to describe it but you can make it work, takes some getting used to. otherwise works just as they say. my issue is the battery. it dies insanely fast. the first time i blamed it on probably not being fully charged out the box but no its every use. photo for example, i couldn’t even finish drawing a simply detailed face before the tablet died. no artist likes being cut off in the middle of their flow.

Adapter is a bit loose

Everything working good so far, but my one complain is that the adapter is very loose and it's not staying connected when I connect it to my phone. Instead of using adapter why not have a cord that connects from the drawing pad directly to the phone. But in all it work very good. 4 stars because of the adapter

Perfect for on the go and for drawing in bed

I love my Ugee Q6. I use two devices for my art. My computer with my screen tablet the Ugee U1600 and my Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. I love my Tab S6, but Krita picks up all my hand inputs even if I'm using a pen. I tend to draw in bed more than I do at my desk, so I needed something new.

My husband got this for me for Christmas after much gushing about it. I've been using it nonstop since I've recieved it. It's small and can fit in my bag for on the go use. I doodle and take notes on my Tab S6 at school and this will be great to carry around with me. The cable goes into the back, the pen as a little loop to sit in when I'm done with is. The buttons were easy to program. I've tested it with several android drawing apps and the only issue I have is that Krita is still working on their kinks for their android app. Every single other app I have used has had zero issues.

This tablet is worth the money. It's a wonderful lightweight starter tablet for those using just a laptop and want to learn how to use a screenless. For those tired of having issues with palm rejection or use their phones to draw this is a fantastic drawing tablet! I can't wait to take it with me for any of my studying not done at home! :))

Quite large and doubles as a screen!

This drawing tablet is pretty large for what it is. It also doubles as a secondary monitor so you can draw right on the screen in your perspective drawing app. All the buttons on the side as well as the little rotating wheel is customizable with the software. The included pen has a few buttons on the shaft as well as a sensor on the end that is supposed to act as an eraser. I could never figure out how to make it act as an eraser when I tried to use it as it just acted like the tip again. Maybe it was the software I was using, but I couldn’t get that part to work. The screen resolution looks to only be 1080p, so it’s not the highest res screen, but it still is a great way to get started. I’ve never owned a Wacom or something like this, so if you’re used to these type of accessories or have used a higher quality one, I’m not 100% sure how it compares, but it seems like a fairly decent at least starter drawing tablet.

Vivid & versatile drawing monitor/display (with room for improvement)

I really *want* to like this dual purpose drawing monitor/display, but I still have mixed feelings about how useful it will be in my daily work-life. My purpose for this device is focused on small-form-factor whiteboarding vs. the more likely illustration or drawing use cases, but I still feel my feedback applies. Some background: I work as an engineer and frequently sketch MVP architectures to share with colleagues. I use Excalidraw for “bar napkin” sketches or Miro for more polished diagrams. This tablet is fairly universal in *how* to use it, and I was able to create hand-drawn sketches or manipulate vector shapes quickly & easily across both of my preferred tools. Setup was fairly intuitive for anyone who’s used/connected a portable monitor to their laptop, but you will absolutely require the third-party app/driver for full functionality, shortcut key mapping, stylus key mapping, etc.. Until the driver was installed and my workstation restarted the experience was hit-or-miss.

I think for my specific use-case, the product is just “okay”… I was hoping for a more robust experience but if your expectations are relatively low, or perhaps if you’re using this exclusively for illustration, you’ll have a better user experience. This is also my first experience with a tablet in general — I thought a visual drawing tablet would be easier for eye/hand coordination, but I haven’t quite felt at-home with this device…

Pros:

- Excellent colors and resolution on this drawing monitor

- Versatile connectivity options (USB-C to USB-C, or HDMI+USB+USB Power) similar to other portable monitors, but with the added bonus of using this as a drawing tablet

- The 3-cable option seems like it’s not included by default (per instruction manual) by my product included it…

- Programmable shortcut buttons built-in (configurable exclusively with the vendor driver/app installed)

- Programmable stylus buttons (again, driver required)

- Full pressure sensitivity adjustment

- Accuracy and response of stylus movement is pretty spot-on

Cons:

- Extremely wide screen bezel yields a large device footprint with less screen real estate

- Custom driver offering is limited with Windows/Mac — while there’s advertised support for Linux and Android, I don’t think you’ll get the full-feature experience unless your own a Windows PC or Mac. I run Ubuntu as my primary workstation and Windows for work-related activities. Using this on Windows provided a decent out-of-box experience, but you really need their driver for most functions…

- No power block included for mobile phone or tablet connectivity — make certain the USB power block you use provides adequate wattage!

Great

I got a purple it’s very cute and does the job . Does not work with Google Meets or Wherby.

Simple

I love this thing and I'm pissed I didn't get it sooner. I always wanted one but I didn't know you could get one for your phone so I was like ill never sit in front of my pc long enough to use it. I use Artflow and Ibis paint x the most, this works great with them.

Better that I expected

I bought this as an emergency to go back to digital drawing, this was so easy to use and I just connected to my tablet and that's it. I recommend to drawing beginners and people that can't afford a computer and expensive drawing pad. I'm so happy with it.

This is the one! M908

For the last couple years I have been drawing exclusively on XP-PEN tablets.. My go to has been my Artist 15.6 Pro ($350).. But as I get older, my neck and back hurt more and more from looking down at the screen. The last few months I had been using my expensive screen tablet as just a regular pen tablet and my work would be on the larger monitor in front of me. Screen tablets are heavy and I wanted something that I could sit back and relax with while holding.. This UGEE M908 is absolutely perfect for me to do that.. Its light weight, has the same function keys as my XP-PEN tablet, and the drawing is smooth and accurate. Also the fact it only requires ONE usb cable to work (My screen tablet requires 3 cables to be plugged in).. And it can be used with other cables also.. I'm using a 9ft usb c and I can sit back in my recliner, relax, and still do my work with the exact same functionality I have been used to for years.... And the best part.... It was only $28 on sale! I get everything I need now.. for $300 less... Thank you UGEE for making this tablet!

5 stars for Windows and Android compatibility and very responsive tablet

This tablet is very responsive, seems to be instant recognition and highly accurate. It works as advertised. I highly recommend it for Windows OS. The texture of the tablet surface gives you a paper and pencil feeling which is an added luxury. It works perfectly in portrait mode in my Android tablet. I have Android 10 OS. However, it doesn't fully function in landscape mode, which is kind of a let down, but they tell you up front that the landscape feature doesn't work on Android. Some might not like the landscape downside but I'm ok with it since I will mainly use it on Windows 10.

Great digital drawing tablet for computers

The Good

- It has a great work area for big projects

- It can be customized

The Bad

- It won’t work without its software being installed

Let me start with the bad and clarify the software issue. I’ve owned two drawing tablets for PC and Mac from different manufacturers which are Plug and Play for basic mouse operations, meaning, once you plug those tablets to your PC or Mac, the tablet will automatically start working as a mouse. The software that is installed allows to customize the tablet buttons and expands its features to its full capabilities. With this tablet, unless you install the software, it won’t work at all, not even as a mouse, so there is no Plug and Play option. This can be an issue if you don’t have Administrator privileges with your Windows or MacOS user, since you won’t be able install the software therefore being unable to use this tablet. If you do have Administrator privileges or you have someone who does, and install the software, then you’ll be able to use it.

Now, once the software is installed, it needs to be running all the time. If you close the app, the pen/tablet will stop working until the app is launched again.

The tablet in general works great. I’ve tested it with a MacBook using Lightroom and Photoshop and it works great. The pressure sensitivity works as expected. Buttons can be customized, for instance I have one that opens Photoshop, and the rest of the buttons I have them as functions within Photoshop. Even when used without the provided glove, it will respond without issue.

In general, I am satisfied with this digital drawing tablet, but as I mentioned before, if you can’t install the companion software on the pc or Mac you work with, this isn’t for you.
