Inflatable LED light

I picked this up because I wanted to expand my lighting options for photo and video. It has 5 power levels and 4 color modes. The color modes allowed me to match the color of the lighting in the room. When compared to the output of the lightbulb, it seems to be more powerful than the 60 watt lightbulb. It includes a little ball to inflate the tube. I thought I would have to use my ball inflator. I don’t even have an adapter that would’ve allowed me to do that. The included ball works perfectly fine. The release valve is easy to use. You just press the center and push the air out. It comes with magnets that have a quarter twenty hole so you can mount it on a tripod or light stand. It’s powered by a USB c wire with an inline remote. The remote is easy to use. It has a power, mode and up and down buttons. The up and down adjust the power from 0 through the 5 levels. The mode charges the color. I wish it had a battery but most constant lights don’t. I already had a battery bank to use with it. I have ulanzi RGB wands so I use them for side or back lights.

Great lightweight light

This is a really nice and portable light that can pack down to a very small size when deflated. The light is very lightweight when fully inflated and is quite versatile in its mounting options. There is a loop to hang it or a magnetic 1/4 inch mount that magnetically attaches to the light to allow for attaching to a tripod. My favorite part of the light is that it can be powered over USB C provided you have a power bank or charging brick that can provide 20v 3.25a (65w). This allows me to easily power the light wherever I am as long as I have a capable power bank on me. The light is also impressively bright and well diffused which has been great for me to use for some product photography that I do. Overall, this is an excellent lightweight light that is very easy to bring on the goand gets very bright and I would highly recommend it.

Compact and powerful enough for vlog work

This tube light has come in very handy on those occasions where I'm looking for wide, diffused light for a variety of situations. It inflates quickly, usually with only one breath, and compacts just as quickly. The adjustable color temp and brightness lets me match the lighting to current conditions when filming or photographing subjects that are backlit. The built-in magnets, two towards the base and one towards the tip, allows me to mount it to a variety of surfaces, lessening the need for light stands. I have even used it stuck to the underside of the hood of my car when I need to check fluids or do maintenance work.

The charge lasts for a decent amount of time, charges up quickly, and has a lockout by default so it doesn't accidently turn on in your bag. The material feels like pvc-infused dry bag material, and looks/feels solidly heat welded all around the perimeter. I haven't been particularly rough with this, but first impressions is that it should last awhile with normal use.

If you need simple white/yellow lighting that is lightweight and quick to deploy and easy to use, give this a try.

Fun & Useful Light

This a very versatile LED light for shooting photos or videos. Very compact when deflated, so easy to carry as a backup light. Nice diffuse light and the color temperature can be adjusted (in 100K increments) from 2700K to 6500K. Likewise, the light intensity can be adjusted from 100% to 0% in 1% increments. (See attached video.) This light gets bright at 100%!

Easily handheld, but has a couple of other mounting options. There are magnets built in to the back that allow it to stick to most steel surfaces (stainless steels can vary in their magnetic properties). There’s an included adapter that attaches magnetically to the light and has a 1/4”-20 socket in it (and a couple of anti-rotation holes for the right kind of mounting arm).

There are a number of light modes, but I haven’t used them much (they’re aimed at video usage, but I primarily shoot stills). So far I’ve primarily used it for outdoor macro work. It’s small and light enough to just throw in my bag just in case. It’s powered by an internal rechargeable battery (recharged via a USB-C port). I’ve run it continuously for an hour plus.

I find it very useful and a good value.

A fun, innovative light, both waterproof and travel friendly!

Key Features:

- Ultra-portable: Deflates & folds tiny (216g), fits is most bags.

- 60cm soft, flexible, inflatable tube + bends/wraps creatively.

- IP66 waterproof + strong N52 magnets (sticks anywhere metal).

- Good color (95+ CRI, 2700-6500K) + 12 fun built-in effects (lightning, SOS, TV, etc.).

- Fast 15W charging (2h full), 1/4" mounts on both ends.

- Very affordable.

Things to Consider:

- Only 12W → low brightness (fill/accent light, not a key light).

- Short runtime at max 75 min, and varies by use.

- Takes up to 10–20s to inflate/deflate each time (user preference can also vary).

- Budget build, fixed diffusion, no app/DMX.

- Effects modes sacrifice some color accuracy.

- Ideal for wet conditions but can can puncture, if not careful.

Best for: TikTok/YouTube/Reels creators, travel vloggers, anyone who wants the smallest, most packable 60cm tube with waterproofing and magnets on a budget.

**Skip if**: You need real power, long runtime, or pro features.

You need one of these in your lighting toolkit!

Fantastic tube light. I love the portability and versatility of this light. Now that I have it, I find all kinds of uses for it. It puts out a very pleasing soft light without the need for any modifiers. The whole front side of the light allows for light transfer, giving you effectively 180 degrees of light output, which is fairly even (no hotspots) and can wrap nicely around your subject. It is small enough to fit in your pocket when deflated and weighs next to nothing. Inflating it takes just a few quick breaths. The built-in magnets along with the loop at one end allow for easy mounting. The controls all work very well. It requires a long-press to activate the controls, then a second long-press to turn the light on or off. This prevents the light from being accidentaly turned on. Once on, you can control the brightness level in 1% increments (0% to 100%) or quick-press the power button to quickly cycle through settings of 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% and then back down to 0%. There are separate controls to adjust the color temperature.

The only real negative with this light is that, unlike the identical light from Neewer, it does not include a little finger pump for inflating the light. Using your breath for inflation is easy, but you do introduce a small amount of moisture into the tube by doing so. I'm not sure if this is a serious issue or not, but since the tube is otherwise sealed, it seems that any moisture you do introduce is trapped inside the light (though perhaps if you leave the valve open, that is enough to allow that moisture to dissipate). I don't think this is a serious concern, but I do appreciate that the Neewer version provides a simple pump to avoid this issue. Battery life at full power is only about 1 hour (I believe - I need to double-check this), but much longer if not using this at full power. For my needs, that is fine in most cases, and it does recharge quickly.

I have a huge variety of lights in my arsenal. This has quickly become one of the few I use regularly because of the quality of the light, easy of use, portability, and creative mounting options - not just for photo & video work, but for camping, working on my car (mounts easily on the hood thanks to those magnets), and other things, too. I also look forward to trying out some light painting with this next time I go camping.

Ulanzi AL60 Inflatable Tube Light: A Clever Portable Powerhouse

I picked up the Ulanzi AL60 inflatable tube light recently, and it has quickly become one of my favorites for on the go photography setups. What stands out right away is how it packs down so small when deflated, fitting easily into a camera bag without taking up much space at all. Once you inflate it, which is straightforward with the built in pump mechanism, it expands into a full 60W LED tube that delivers impressive brightness and versatility.

The lighting quality is top notch, with adjustable color temperatures ranging from a warm 2700K to a cool 6500K, and a high CRI of over 96 that ensures colors pop accurately in photos and videos. I appreciate the 10 built in effects for creative shots, like flickering or pulsing modes, which add fun options without needing extra gear. Intensity control is smooth, letting you dial in just the right level for close ups or product photography. The strong magnets integrated into the design make it simple to attach to metal surfaces, and the included magnetic tripod mount is a thoughtful addition that expands mounting possibilities. Operation feels intuitive through the clear screen and responsive buttons, plus the remote control option is handy for adjustments from a distance.

Build quality lives up to Ulanzi's reputation, with durable materials that handle travel well, and the Type C charging keeps it powered up efficiently. It comes with a grip and C stand in the package, making it ready to use out of the box. While it is not the cheapest option out there, the combination of portability, power, and features makes it worth every penny for anyone serious about lighting on a budget. Overall, this light strikes a great balance between convenience and performance, and I find myself reaching for it often.

Very handy and functional light for video and photography.

Ulanzi UA12 Inflatable Tube Light

This Ulanzi UA12 Inflatable Tube Light is really nice. I love how light and compact it is. The Tube light folds flat until you are ready to use it. Then, to use it, you simply blow it up like a balloon. You can inflate it by either mouth or with an electric pump. The air valve seals well. You just press and hold the air valve to deflate and fold it up for storage. This Inflatable Tube Light has many clever features. One of the really neat features is that it comes with a metal connector/adapter with a standard ¼” threaded hole that you can use to attach it to your tripod. This metal connector/adapter is magnetic, and the Inflatable Tube Light has a magnet inside it so the metal connector/adapter attaches quick and easy or you can simply attach the Tube Light directly to any thing metal. The Inflatable Tube Light ha 12W LED lights with 2 temperatures, 2700K–6500K, creating warm to cool tones and 12 lighting effects. The 12 adjustable effects include constant light, flash, lightning, TV mode, broken bulb, SOS, explosion flash, strobe, and more. The light is powered by a 2500mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging. It can be fully charged in 2 hours and can work up to 75 minutes at maximum brightness. The light has a 1 inch display screen showing real-time status. When inflated, the tube light measures 22” long and 5” wide and the entire unit weighs 281 grams, or about 10 ounces. This Ulanzi UA12 Inflatable Tube Light is a very handy and functional light for video and photography.

Soft, shapable light with smart controls—awesome for product/video work

I really like this inflatable light. It produces a beautifully diffused, even output that’s perfect for video and product photography. I’ve already shot a few product sets, and the results were soft and consistent. You get both Kelvin (color temperature) and brightness control, plus a rear screen that estimates remaining runtime at your chosen power—super helpful for planning a shoot.

Because it’s inflatable, you can control the firmness: with less air it becomes more malleable, so you can shape it around subjects and get a near 270° lighting effect. Setup is flexible too—you can hang it by the hook or use the included magnetic mount. Overall, I’m excited to add this to my kit; it’s a versatile, travel-friendly way to get soft light anywhere.

Fun easy light- super portable/packable and bright!

Honestly this thing is super cool. Blows up in just a second. Feels like it won’t rip or tear. Rechargeable and does fast with the included usb-C cord. This thing packs down so small. Also comes with a built in magnet and an addition magnet.

Incredibly bright from 1% up to 100%. Changing color temperature is simple and the overall controls are simple to use.

I’m a light guy. Any types of light I love having around, this could be used for so much. Blogging at a desk, camping in your tent, for photography. Or for emergency’s!

Creative and Portable Lighting Solution

The Ulanzi UA12 Inflatable Tube Light is a unique and versatile photography light that’s perfect for creators on the go. It folds down small, inflates into a 60cm tube, and produces soft, even light ideal for fill or ambient use. At just 216g, it’s lightweight and easy to carry anywhere.

The light quality is excellent, with 95+ CRI for accurate colors and an adjustable color temperature range from 2700K to 6500K. The 12 lighting modes—from constant light to strobe, lightning, and SOS—offer lots of creative options for video or photography.

I love the design features: it’s IP66 waterproof, comes with a magnetic mount bracket for easy attachment to metal surfaces, and also has a loop so you can hang it wherever you need. The controls are intuitive, and deflating and folding it for storage is quick and simple. The LEDs do seem to get a bit warm during use, which I hope won’t be an issue over time.

I plan to use it for additional lighting when making videos for art and music, and it’s perfect for adding flexible, soft illumination wherever I need it. I the photos I have it attached to a magic arm clamp mount, which did not come with this item.

Most unique and convenient tube light

This is a cool concept for a tube light. My other tube lights have a solid form factor that requires a lot of space in order to pack it with me. This inflatable tube lights folds into a very small package and can literally fit in the back pocket of some regular fit jeans or some cargo shorts. The tube lights folds into was easy to inflate and only required less than half of a full breath. There is a spring loaded mechanism that keeps the air from coming out so that you can cap it with out losing pressure. You can press in the valve to quickly deflate the tube lights folds into as well.

The tube light has a couple of magnets on the backside that allows you to quickly mount the light on any metallic surface. The magnets are strong enough to secure the light. The small display screen is easy to read and is colorful. You can adjust the color temperature as well as the intensity of the light with the buttons. Tapping the power button allows you to jump up at 25% increments for faster intensity increases. It has a built in battery that can be charged with a usb-c cable and the display gives you an estimate of runtime and the current battery level.

This is not the brightest tube light on the market but it is definitely the most convenient one that i have ever used. It produces enough light for me to capture photos and video in low light conditions. The length of the tube and design of the panel helps to create a softer looking light.

Perpetual Procrastinator

A fantastic, compact light photography that is versatile and easy to use

The Ulanzi Inflatable Tube Light is a compact wonder! It folds up to fit in an included plastic storage bag about the size of a paperback novel. It easily inflates with just a couple puffs, and deflates using a unique spring-loaded valve that doesn't leak while you're putting on the cap.

In addition to the light and storage bag, a manual USB-A to USB-C cable, and a small magnetic block with 1/4-20 threads for use on a tripod (A feature missed by a previous reviewer.) It all appears to be a quality made product with clear instructions.

The light itself is only 25W, so cane used for fill light or long exposures. All of the photos for this review were just on a phone with auto white balance, and the 2700-6500K color is still noticeable. The photos on the wood floor, of the ceramic birds, and the globe are all examples at both ends of the color range.

The manual isn't needed for most operations, because the color LED panel is easy to read and everything is pretty much self explanatory. But if you read the manual, you'll find that there are 14 special effect lightings, too!

The LED panel show % of battery left, battery voltage, charging details, color temperature, mode, intensity, a handy time remaining feature that varies with light intensity. Mine showed 13 hours at 1% light output out of the box without fully charging. Change of color does not seem to have any effect on battery life.

The various mounting methods of magnets, straps, or tripod mount means that the Ulanzi tube light can be mounted almost anywhere.

Aside from photography, the light set at its lowest intensity (which is still plenty bright) makes a handy emergency light for several hours. Or a warm, low light for outside ambiance or camping.

A well deserved five stars!

Pretty darn awesome with some minor limitations

This is a great portable lighting option from Ulanzi. Not super powerful, but that was expected given that it is just a 12 watt light. I love how portable it is when not inflated. Built in battery with USB C charging. A good variety of color temperatures (2700K to 6500K) and good dimming. Light is diffused nicely. Several ways to hang this with straps and built-in magnets.

My minor complaints include

- color temperature is a bit cooler when compared to other lights I have when set at the same temperature

- no option for a 1/4 20 mount - so this will be hanging or stuck with magnets making for less flexible directing of light.

- battery life could be better, but as expected based on compact size

Generally speaking, I really like this light, but overall use will be limited.
