Not waterproof!! Defeats the purpose I got it for. So much for music during water sports or the shower

Great sound

Sound is amazing. Small light but feels sturdy. Turning off it's a bit tricky since I always hold it to long. Only probably minor improvement would be If they added a dust/dirt/ sand cover to the USB c port.

Disappointed!! I would not recommend it.

I was really excited when I ordered this mini speaker, and I took very good care of it from the moment I received it. I used it carefully for only about three days, it was never dropped, exposed to water, or used improperly in any way. Unfortunately, after only a few days, the sound suddenly became distorted and muffled, making the speaker unpleasant to use.

I was especially disappointed because I truly loved the design of the speaker. It looked beautiful, and the sound was originally loud and impressive as well. That is why it was so upsetting when the audio quality suddenly became damaged after such a short time. In the end, no matter how attractive the design is, it loses its value if the speaker can no longer be properly used.

It’s a cool lil speaker

It’s definitely a vibe. I use it to enhance home movie nights when I don’t want to use a huge speaker or surround sound. Definitely packs a nice lil punch. The battery life isn’t amazing but last long enough… the build quality is good, it’s easy to use and it has a little flap that you can attach to ur bag and just have a lil hands free speaker. For the money it’s ok. Give it a try

Not as advertised perhaps ?

Says 12 hour battery life but I take it work on full charge and by lunch it’s already on critical battery which is like 4 hours of usage. Idk maybe I got faulty speaker but other than that it’s decent sounding I guess. Haven’t had it for more than week btw

Product arrived with a manufacturing defect.

Do not buy this product. The MINIROLL speaker arrived with a manufacturing defect, the charging port was defective. The item showed up with the defect and has never been able to charge. I have tried to submit a warranty claim and spent over an hour on the companies website doing the necessary troubleshooting and then the chatbot tried to restart the conversation after requesting a video showing the defect. I want a refund, if this is not possible I want a replacement. I have a had multiple Ultimate Ears speakers in the past that worked well, but now I am very upset with Ultimate Ears. They make it impossible to file the warranty claim.

As far as a Mini Speaker it’s GREAT!

As far as a Mini Speaker it’s GREAT! I love it. I originally bought it for our pontoon boat to keep from running our battery down. I was shocked with the sound coming from such a small speaker and sounded great and I was very impressed. I had no trouble connecting with it and the battery lasted all day at the lake, very easy to set up, connect to and in use in no time. I was so pleased that I ordered 3 more and connecting all 4 together was not a problem and the function of it all was very simple. They will hook to almost anything!

Just as good as the larger ones.

I previously had the larger SE. I took it everywhere with me. The portability on this fantastic. I can just throw this in my purse without a problem. I sing a lot in the shower and I don't hear a difference between the two. I love that it doesn't even need shelf space. This one even has the USB-C port (my SE did not).

Love it in golf carts

It’s great. I strap it on a golf cart. Music when playing golf and it’s so easy to adjust the volume. You can turn down the music when someone’s swinging.

Want something this size buy it!

Great speaker and sound. Has better vocals and separation than my Clip 5 with similar if not slightly worse bass. Looks good and the strap seems fine so far. No reason not to buy it if you're looking for something this size.

Disappointed :(

I used to have a ue megaboom and really missed the ability to control it through the app. I loved that convenience and always wanted to experience the surround sound by pairing more than one speaker. The mini roll had a cyber sale and it seemed like the perfect opportunity. However I have the packed party speaker from Walmart and it retails at $15.99. It has clear sound, it can also pair to two or more speakers. It has a skip and forward button, volume controls, and the ability to take calls hands free, no app control though. I had downloaded the ue roll app thinking it would control the mini roll but unfortunately it doesn’t. The price difference of $49.99 per ue mini roll vs. the packed party speaker at $15.99 is a no brainer. The packed party speaker has more features. Although it’s cute, sound is awesome too as always but I’ll be returning these.

Great mini speaker

I have the wonder boom 4 and I didn’t think anything could match up to that . This little speaker is worth it ! Especially when you’re on the go !

Good

The ULTIMATE EARS MINIROLL is a compact and super portable speaker that delivers impressive sound quality for its size. It’s perfect for on-the-go use, with a sleek design that easily fits in your hand or clips onto your bag. Love how it’s waterproof and durable, making it ideal for beach days or outdoor adventures. The bass is surprisingly deep, and the battery life holds up well!

Insane sound for a small package

I have a mini projector in my room that can only fit a small speaker near it. Once I saw this product, I knew I had to complete my mini home theater in my room.

At first, I expected less in sound and more for form but I was proven very wrong. Bass is very strong and the voices are clear.

If you connect this to a Windows computer you can pull up the equalizer and fill up a 150sqft room like a movie theater. I can go on and on about tuning, but the simple version is, this speaker can be tweaked to sound twice its price. Default Bluetooth speaker quality is also very good with my android and projector.

Build quality and portability are excellent. It's decently heavy but small enough to go anywhere. Battery life is as promised and I've actually never had it die on me before a charge (I run the speaker 8 hours a day). Buttons are so simple and clear, a blind caveman could do it (no joke).

Highly recommend this speaker, the price may look steep but it absolutely punches above its weight.

Awesome Little Bluetooth Speaker

The Miniroll may be the best little bluetooth speaker that you can buy, but "little" is a category that is easily boundried by many other great speakers like the Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 4 which is considered by many as the best bluetooth speaker you can buy for under $100.

The MiniRoll has a great sound dont get me wrong, I use it on my Tennis Hopper because it has a great strap that holds the speaker in place very securely. The MiniRoll does a great job with no distortion on the tennis courts and I can transmit bluetooth signal from across the courts with no problem. If you are looking for a comparison between the JBL Clip and the MiniRoll Im confident the Miniroll will come out on top. Unless you really want a smaller speaker size I would really recommend buying the WonderBoom over the MiniRoll because they are the same price, however the MiniRoll is definitely worth it for the compact size and ability to cling to objects.

Very clear sound, good quality

The Ultimate Ears MINIROLL is a very portable bluetooth speaker. It eqasily fits in one hand, and like all the other equipment I have seen from Ultimate Ears, has great build quality, is streamlined, minimalist and aesthetically pleasing. The sound is clear, with not dfuzz, or artifacts of any kind, and the sound qualioty is also good, particularly for a speaker this size.

I kind of wondered why Ultimate ears came out with a speaker this size, since the original Boom is not very large, and has amazing sound. This is smaller, but (well, it does say something that UE is their own competition) thye sound is not asd good as it is on the Boom, or Megaboom. It also is not anywhere near as loiud. It is verty much a personal speaker.

I thought it would work well as a shower speaker, but I am not sure, at IP67 (which is water resistant) that it would be safe in the shower. It is well sealed, as you can see it the photo with the on/off swith and port cover, so it might be OK in the shower. The strap is well designed. It could easily be hung on the handlebars of a bike.....and I can see having this next to you on a beach towel (in which case it would be more than loud enough.

Like the other speakers I have tried from Ultimate Ears, it blows past most of the competition, but in my opinion is not as good as their larger speakers.

Expensive, decent sound for it's size, treble gets a bit harsh at upper volumes

I have the UE Megaboom 4, Boom 4, Everboom, and Wonderboom 4 from the Vine program. I don't really like any of them except the Wonderboom 4, as there are speakers that are much cheaper that can deliver much better sound. The Wonderboom 4 is pretty solid for it's size but not cost.

The MINIROLL is in a similar position as the Wonderboom 4. Now I compared the Wonderboom 4 to the MINIROLL and the Wonderboom sounds much more mature with better bass and overall sound. The MINIROLL sounds pretty nice on it's own, getting harsh in the treble region the closer you get to max, but not painfully so. It gets pretty loud too. It's not supported by the UE app so there is no EQ settings you can change.

The MINIROLL vs. the Xdobo Try &Go Mood ($26 at the moment) the Xdobo has the edge, with better bass and it also has RGB lights around the bass radiators. But it's a bit bigger, just saying a $26 speaker can have better sound than this $80 speaker.

To make things more interesting I also have the Tribit Stormbox Micro 2, which is about the same size and form factor, but costs $60 at time of review. The MINIROLL gets a little louder at max, but the Stormbox Micro 2 has much deeper and louder bass at all volume levels and it's supported by the Tribit app, so you can mess around with EQ settings. If I had to pick one, I would just go with the Micro 2, but it's not a huge difference. I prefer warmer sound.

To sum it up, this isn't a bad sounding speaker, it lacks any meaningful bass, but still sounds pretty full. Voices and acoustics sound good. It can get a bit harsh at max especially in the treble region. It gets loud for it's size, but not it's price. Give the Micro 2 a look if you want better bass and app support. I wouldn't recommend any of the other UE speakers except the Wonderboom 4 which is definitely worth it's price as an upgrade from the MINIROLL for sound.

Compact and well made.

Nice fabric material over the front and the back has a strap to attach it or hang it. Sound quality is fairly neutral and it will get surprisingly loud for its small size and modest power rating. Also fully waterproof and dust proof. 1 star off due to not being compatible with the UE app.

PartyUp with Ultimate Ears Miniroll!

This is the second Ultimate Ears speaker I have tried and my favorite so far. This speaker is small, yet packs a 1.8" full range driver and a 1.5" passive radiator for powerful bass. In fact, if you listen to music with DEEP bass you probably should keep it at 50% volume or less. Most music can be played up to 75% volume without distortion. But it isn't just loud, it sounds fantastic! Not only that, but it is IP67 dustproof and waterproof. I tested it myself and after spending 30 minutes underwater it came out still playing music and had fully functional buttons! You might want to consider ordering two or more Minirolls because this speaker supports PartyUp. This means you can join an unlimited number of Miniroll speakers together and they will all play the same song at the same volume. If you have multiple primary speakers in PartyUp mode you can wander from party to party and your Miniroll will grab the strongest signal and "join the party." Very cool and highly recommended!
