Might need professional set up.

This security camera is the real deal. I would say get some official help to get it installed as getting it to be compatible with your system might be a professional job rather than a rookie skill. Once sets up with a compatible system, the camera is easy to connect to the system with wifi. It is fully adjustable for multiple camera angles and the picture quality is not bad. I found it to be a good addition my home security system. It is small enough not to be easily detected which is nice. Everything depends on getting the system set up correctly which could be tricky.

Good quality hardware, but horrible default software. Does work with ONVIF and RTSP

I wanted to give this came a bit better of a review, because the hardware itself is very good value for the price of the camera. It mounts very easily, though if you are worried about someone stealing it you should use your own security screws when mounting it, because they are easily accessible from the front of the camera. The picture quality is quite good for the price as well. I used it to replace an 8 year old mid grade camera, and it blows that one out of the water. I was able to connect it to BlueIris after some searching around to find out the default username and password which isn't documented in the box. The reason I lowered the stars, is because the only way to change any settings is by connecting to it via the web URL first. The only way to do that is to install an extension on your browser that you download from some sketchy google drive link... It appears to allow libraries from the old Internet Explorer browser. They can't be bothered to update their interface to fully use HTML 5 like everyone else has. I never got it to connect to the app they suggested, even after connecting to it with the sketchy downloaded extension. At least I was able to tinker with the settings, like disabling "color night vision" using the extension since I don't think those settings can be changed in Blue Iris. I've been using many brands of cameras, keep several running with BlueIris, and this one really needs the developers to update their interface on the camera and the iOS app that I finally gave up on once I got it working with BlueIris. I can't imagine someone who's not familiar with these cameras ever getting this to work.

Works Well with Blue Iris

This UniLook U-Series 8MP IP camera was discovered and added easily by my Blue Iris VMS software (Make: Generic/ONVIF). Default settings for the main stream are 3040 x 2160 resolution, 20 fps, H265 compression. This camera allows a lot of configuration via its browser interface (PC Client software and Android/iOS phone app are also available, though I haven't needed them). H264/H265+ is also supported by this camera, as well as RTSP streaming.

Overall, the image is crisp and clear, and I particularly like the wide (110°) field of view provided by this camera's 2.8mm lens.

Here are some observations:

- Mounting is accomplished using three screws, hidden by a twist-on trim ring. Camera orientation is maintained by friction, so anyone with physical access to the camera would be able to remove the camera (by removing the trim ring and screws) or reorient it.

- The POE ethernet connector has an integral LED indicator that flashes green when power and communication are present. Nice for install and troubleshooting, but should probably be covered up or hidden under normal usage to prevent drawing attention.

- This camera has two "Smart LED Lights" which turn on when a human or vehicle is detected and ambient light is below a threshold. These are configurable to turn on/off based on a selectable light threshold, but there is no apparent means to control the lights purely via command. Motion detection areas can be configured within the camera, and the LED or IR lights can also be disabled via the web interface.

- The camera supports audio in via an integral mic, but has no speaker.

- There is no provision for onboard storage of video (e.g., micro SD card).

Good quality HD camera with a small easy to hide footprint

I picked this up to replace and older BNC camera I have connected to a security system in my home.

This camera is powered by my POE network switch but has an regular adapter for DC power if you don't have a POE outlet. This camera powered up and I could tell by the green light on the cord that it was powered up by the POE cord. I then checked my router and found the IP address it was using. The camera has a web based interface that you access to setup and use for extra features or settings that you want on the camera.

My DVR picked up the camera's static IP address and I am able to make all of my recordings and motion detection setup on my security DVR where it hosts all the video files. I set the camera's resolution to 3072x2046 and 15 frames per second and get incredibly clear pictures and videos. The manual mentions that they have external software for PC and phone but I did not need it as I have my own DVR.

I used the included template to mount it upside down to the external soffit and ran a flat ethernet cord behind the siding on the house and into my basement where the DVR is located.

Overall this is a fantastic low cost security camera that has two ways to power it up with a lot of options in the camera settings.

I See You

I bought this camera to add some security to our home. Being disabled with absolutely no tech experience, I have been eagerly waiting for my husband to get the time to install it for me. After removing from the box we discovered we would need a Ethernet cord to make it functional. Once we purchased the Ethernet cord and he finally had the time to fool with it, It was fairly easy to set it up. After connecting to Wi-Fi, The camera is of good quality and functions as it should. I love that it takes clear bright footage even in the dark. We haven’t decided exactly where to place it as we are still doing some work on the house. This is the first camera we have purchased and we are extremely satisfied thus far. It gives me a sense of safety knowing it has the ability to detect humans in its view. It alerts you when a person enters the monitered zone as well as alerting that person that their presence has been detected visually and audibly. I can’t compare to others for this is our first ever having a security camera. So far it is serving it’s purpose well and we are pleased with this purchase. Will post more pictures once we decide which side of the house we will place it. Hopefully this week if time and weather is on our side.

Ni camera with clear pictures and works out of the box with Synology NAS!

Great camera for the price. Hooks up easily. PoE works like a charm. I was able to quickly access via a web portal but you can also access via an app. The picture quality is good to very good. and it works well with my Synology NAS...so lots of features! The night vision is good. As this is a PoE solution there is no battery life!

corded camera with many features

This camera does not have WiFi, requires a network cable. It can be powered via the network cable (PoE) or separately with 12V power source. It does not have a battery, so the power has to be connected all the time. The connectors provided support waterproof connection.

The setup is easy, once the camera is connected to the network, download a tool from the manufacturer's website to find the camera and run it. It will find and let you connect to the camera via the web browser.

There are actually four ways to connect to the camera and see the video stream:

- Web browser by the cameras IP address

- Windows management program

- Phone app

- Video monitoring system (NVR)

The camera has built in many features, including people detection and alerts. The camera does not have ability to move, but the position can be adjusted while mounting - camera ball has some degree of movement available in the plastic housing.

The picture quality is good, as expected with a wired camera, but I wasn't able to test the night vision yet.

Mounting the camera is easy. It has the plastic ring hiding the screw holes, which needs to be taken off. I wasn't able to twist it off without pushing one of the locking tabs with a screwdriver, but then it came off easy.

This camera provides good functionality and flexibility, but requires wiring.

Solid camera with clear image quality

Pros: Strong metal housing, easy setup, works with Blue Iris, reliable 4K clarity

Cons: None so far

This camera performs very well for the price and delivers sharp, detailed video. Setup was simple, and it integrated smoothly with Blue Iris software. The 20fps frame rate is fine for my needs. Just be sure you understand how PoE works before buying, as it requires proper network and power setup through Ethernet.

The night vision is clear, and the smart detection for humans and vehicles works as expected. The metal body feels durable and weather-resistant, which adds confidence for outdoor use. Overall, a dependable camera that does exactly what it promises.

Eh less than impressed

I have a husband who install things like this for a living. It took my husband several days of bring equipment home from work and tweaking the system for us to gain full access to the live footage.

Everytime the app is started it seems to time out. Along with showing an incorrect day and time.

The night vision is empicable we barely have lights on the streets and the video quality is great. But that is the only reason it gets 2 stars. It shows us the footage. Toss up if it's going to work right away. Again my husband does this for a living and stated that if you dont do cabling, he did not recommend.

High quality 4K camera at a very competitive price

This camera was very easy to setup and includes a manual which is ideal. The housing is heavy duty (not plastic) and the picture quality is awesome. It is a POE camera but also has a standard waterproof plug if you want to run 12V to it. Highly recommend this camera, can't beat the bang for the buck. I plan on getting two more!

Overall solid camera with a lot of configurable options.

The video quality is quite good, and the hardware construction is solid. I tested it out the stream via ffplay with command: `ffplay -fflags nobuffer -flags low_delay -rtsp_transport udp`. Then, also adding the camera to Frigate. While viewing with ffplay, the stream connection was consistent and at first the latency was barely noticeable, but after an hour or so I noticed about 1 to 1.5 seconds of a lag.

With Frigate, when I first added the camera, it was working well with both a primary and substream via go2rtc, but after a bit, ffmpeg kept reporting errors maintaining a video stream (mind you, I had 4 other different cameras setup as well, none of which seemed to have this issue). It is entirely possible I just didn't dial in the settings properly for Frigate, as I don't use it often, so I don't want to dock any rating for something that could be my own fault, but still something to be aware of.

If you are at all familiar with Reolink cameras, the settings UI and options are basically the same, which isn't bad, I would say, as there is a lot of configurability.

Impressive for the price

This camera was extremely easy to set up with my Hikvision NVR. The ONVIF worked very well and it was up and running in minutes. The video quality is good, and the performance in complete darkness is great when configured. I included pictures of a basement area with total darkness and with florescent lights. I needed to set the Light Mode on the menu to "Pure White Light" for it to give good color night vision in my environment. This was easy to do. Just like Hikvision cameras, this light mode is like having an LED flashlight running when in total darkness and you can see the color in the photo shows nicely.

The web interface is easy to navigate and I do suggest changing the admin password or disabling that account after adding another one and allowing comparable permissions. The interface has some PTZ menu items showing that do not apply to this model, but perhaps that will be address in a firmware update at some point.

I own over 20 Hikvision brand cameras and this unit is comparable. The housing is very solid, and the image and audio quality are good. It is hard to beat this for the price.

Solid built and quality picture

The security camera is well made and mostly made out of metal. Very solid build over other cameras made with plastic. It is a network camera and will need to be connected to your current system. The picture quality in my opinion is good. Hooking up the camera was pretty straight forward with the instructions and mounting screws include included in the box. Overall I am impressed with the quality of the camera itself and the quality of the picture.

A great upgrade for our aging system

Meets my expectations for my residential installation with a VMS. I am slowly replacing my older HD cameras that are no longer receiving patches, with higher resolution cameras and have been trying all types of options and models. I choose this one over a traditional dome because it has no place for the spider webs or rain droplets to create IR bounce back. It's not super clear from the pictures but the camera has both an IR led and a white LED. Think of it as having a spot light. This is what helps produce color night video. I turned this setting off in the GUI since I felt it made the camera stick out. The regular IR works just fine for my application to catch people who break into our cars on the driveway. For daytime the WDR settings work to help with harsh lighting since this is located under a covered porch, the porch and lawn space are equally balanced in terms of exposure providing the best wide area coverage. Digital PTZ allows me to zoom in after the fact to get details.

I was able to swap it quite easily by plugging it into the ethernet at the install location that feeds back to a POE switch. I did allow my VMS to locate the camera and connect with ONVIF, I also saw Hik protocol in the interface for those who use that setup. I did have some problems with getting the web interface to load up video, the camera received a firmware update that resolved this issue. Unilook support was able to remotely do this for me. The plug in was not needed, which is great since plug ins are becoming a thing of the past. I was very happy to discover the screw hole locations are similar to my prior camera, so I was able to reuse the existing holes in my soffit. The quality is very crisp.

I did not use any of the built in AI features as my VMS does all the motion detection however looking at the interface there are some nice features. I was very impressed that the daylight settings corrections were correct right out of the box usually most manufacturers get the weeks wrong. I am considering purchasing more, but was going to try some more cameras first.

Solid, works well with my NVR...

Adding cameras to my security system has almost always come with lengthy troubleshooting and configuration issues. Thankfully this one installed without any major issues. I'm not a security pro so I look for a cameras that easily work with my Tigerseu NVR system. The product write-up for this Unilook camera notes that it is ONVIF compliant which makes setup simple.

The camera comes with a connection pigtail that breaks out the power connection from ethernet. There is an included cap for the power connector if you plan to use POE which was my preference. It is an 8MP/4K camera which results in a very sharp picture. It also has a built in microphone which I may take advantage of as the unit I have at my front door does not have a mic. The camera turret is held in place with several plastic grommets that allow for repointing the unit at a variety of angles. It is rated for outdoor use but does not come with a dome cover. Currently I am using it indoors but will move it outside now that I have it all setup and running smoothly.

The package includes mounting screws and mollies. To adjust the rotation of the camera you need to twist the collar and use the set screw to allow the unit to spin. A decent improvement over other cameras I have is the waterproof cable connector. The screw on plastic protector sheath slips over the cable with a compressible rubber sleeve that provides a tight fit.

Although I am using the camera with my Network Video Recorder (NVR) the included instructions provide the URL for downloading optional software for viewing and configuring the unit. There are also phone apps (VideoLink) for iPhone and Android.

Fat Sheep

Not wireless, no power line, don't buy.

Fast shipping. Bulky camera and looks high resolution, round shape is also fancy.

However, turns out it needs Ethernet Cable wired connection! Who would want an ethernet cable wired camera nowadays? And you have to connect Ethernet to an outdoor below roof?

And, it needs user to provide a 12V DC power adaptor to power the camera!! Who would plug a very long 12V DC adaptor outdoor to power something meant to be hiding?

Think what you truly need carefully before you buy this.

Very Pleased

I was looking for a replacement camera for a 4mp Bullet camera I have on my front porch that the night vision ir leds are failing.

I came across this Dome 4k unit at a great price and thought it looked more compact, more stout, and vandal proof, plus it has the smart color night vision and human detection.

I ordered and received it and started setup to include downloading Search tool from Anpviz website, Web Viewer on Windows which should be done next, Android (VideoLink) and then 3rd party NVR.

It all went pretty much as expected.

I installed unit on my front porch. Even though it was a Dome replacing a Bullet on a wall it mounted in exact same place.

The 2.8 wide angle lense is a great upgrade from the 3.6 its replacing giving a much improved view of front porch and now more of the front yard.

The optional 12vdc power chord input is nice for replacing non poe cameras.

The Smart Color Night Vision with Human detection is excellent.

I have it set so when a human enters the set alarm area it turns on white spotlight and changes from b&w to full color image making face recognition and seeing color of clothing possible, which is not so in b&w / ir mode.

It also alerts person entering monitored zone that thier presence has been detected both visually and audibly, and alerts me as well.

Its a really great camera, nice smaller size, image quality and price are excellent. it fit my needs perfectly. I will buy another one when I need another replacement due to failure or just want to upgrade as this is a great one.

The Documentation / instructions supplied is very good and needs to be adheared to for best results.

Overall its a nice littlle camera with great features.
