So the first year I really loved the cameras because the quality is great and the subscription wasn’t anything crazy BUT after a year it started doing this! The WiFi has been the same so I don’t understand why it keeps showing this, we restarted it multiple times and even tried customer support but nothing. So I am looking for outdoor cameras now

These are nicely made cameras/solar panels.
Solar panels: The panels are smaller than some cameras that I have gotten. However, they are bigger than some of the smaller ones I have gotten, so basically, they are mid-size. This is sufficient to keep the cameras charged unless there is a prolonged period of overcast days. I like that they come with a separate mount and long cord (see pic) because it gives you more flexibility as to where and how you can put the panel.
Cameras: The cameras are well made. They are rated IP65, which is a water and dust proof rating. The 6 means it is dust proof and the 5 means it is protected from water jets coming from any direction. I've had enough IP65 rated products that I can tell just by looking if the rating is accurate or not. (If it doesn't look like it meets the rating, I check.) I like that this camera has 2 ways to mount it: 1 screw hole is on the back and 1 is on the bottom of the camera. (see pic) This gives you flexibility in mounting the camera. I am using the 2K resolution setting and the pictures are clear, even at night, in my opinion. I put one of the cameras up without the solar panel and over a 3 day period, I believe the battery dropped to 85%, which is not bad. I think it was recording about 20ish events a day. I did have a problem with the video recordings on the SD card for one camera, but was sent a replacement when it was determined that it was a camera issue and not fixable.
The app: Vicohome (VH) is my FAVORITE securcam app. Given that I am currently using SIX different cam apps, I can assure you that I know what I'm talking about.
1. VH allows recording to SD card withOUT WiFI on. This is important because, at least in my area, thieves are hacking WiFI and disabling. At least if that happens, I will still have recordings. I also don't like to keep WiFi on because it wastes electricity.
2. Their customer support UNDERSTANDS the issue the FIRST TIME and doesn't give you "stock" replies on how to "fix" something that canNOT be fixed on your end. One person responds for the same issue, and usually, Sophie responds to ALL of my issues. This is very IMPORTANT because when you get different people for the same issue, you have to keep repeating yourself over and over because no one goes back to read the original submission, or what questions have been answered and what checks have been done.
3. Their app used to be more buggy, but I find that it is more stable now. They fix the bugs you report if they are valid and they follow up to make sure you are happy with their support.
4. They have even added some suggestions that I have had like, longer event recording time. (When I first started using the app, we could only record up to 20 seconds. I requested at least to 30 seconds, which they added, and then some...) They also provide a thumbnail pic for recordings recorded to the SD card. (A lot of apps don't.) This allows you to sometimes look at the thumbnail and decide not to view the recording, so it's a time saver.
Customer Support for the camera itself: This is another plus. Because I had an issue with one of the cameras, I had to email customer support. Callie helped me the entire time. She understood my problem, asked good questions and asked me to check a few things. When all of that was done and there was still a problem, she sent me a replacement immediately. Callie is nice and very professional. Perfect!
Price-wise, I think the cameras are very reasonably priced. There are cheaper cameras, but not with the Vicohome app, which is a must for me.
1/2 star ding for the problem camera so 4.5 stars.

I had a bird feeder that connected to Vicohome therefore wanted cameras that did as well. They are easy to connect. They have the ability for sounding an alarm or talking through the camera. Night vision is clear on these. Love them.

Great Customer service. Easy to install and quick to connect. Up and running less then 30 minutes to install 2 cameras. My husband bought one with the garage a few years ago and it was solar and it still works. 100 times better then Blink or Ring. No hassle of changing batteries.
I will be buying more. The picture day and night are not sketchy you can actually see what's out there. The pictures and videos are clear.

I've been using similar cameras like this one for at least 3 years, power charging them through solar panels. They are good for the price you pay, but don't expect them to last long. The longest one still working is 2 years old, but most of them died after 1 year. Since they're cheap, I didn't bother purchasing replacements.
Since the second half of 2025, I've purchased 4 new cameras and returned 2 of them. Then I decided to purchase a different brand like this one, and all of them show the same problem. You charge them to 100% with the cable connected to a charger, and once you hook them up to the solar panel, the battery starts losing its charge, even though the icon shows it is charging.
Comparing with the old models still working, I noticed the icon is different. The ones that work, or when I connect them to the charger, have a green battery with a lightning sign in the middle. The new ones, the icon is a white battery with the lightning inside. When they are showing this icon, they won't charge, no matter how much sun they got. The only change I noticed in the newer models is the connector, which is a USB-C. The old ones were Micro USB.
I tried to talk to customer service, but they keep insisting that if the camera is charging when connected to a charger, there is no problem. For me, it seems like the changes don't work properly with the solar panels.
Edit 3/18/2026:
After more than a month between emails with customer service, they decided to send me a bigger solar panel, because they insisted the small one wasn’t enough to charge the camera due to high traffic in my surroundings. And it really worked. The camera is indeed working as it should be. With the amount of light the panel receives, it’s enough to keep it at 99%-100% all the time. Maybe they changed something from the previous models that used to charge normally with the original solar panel, but switching to a big one works fine for me. Thanks a lot, Sovmiku team, for the hard work and dedication.
I strongly recommend the camera, but keep in mind that if you have a high demand, you might consider a bigger panel to keep it charged.

We already had 2 cameras and liked them so much we added 2 more so we have full coverage around the entire house. The quality of the video is crystal clear and you can zoom in and out. Installation is a breeze and I really like the size of the new solar panels. They are much smaller than the original ones I bought. Solar panels are the way to go. They keep the cameras fully charged without having to drag cords all over the place. Highly recommend the solar panels and the camera.

Great picture. I have an issue with one camera’s night vision. I reached out to customer support. We troubleshoot the camera. When the issue continued they sent me a replacement camera. Nice to see a company stand behind their products and what they say.

These cameras are awesome!! Great video quality even at night. The solar panel works great and the cameras stay charged all night. I highly recommend purchasing these. I use them for security and also to watch the deer and other animals that visit my yard at night.

I have been using these cameras for my front door and back yard for over a month now. No issues at all. The solar panel can provide enough battery to the camera. The cameras can detect the movements of animals, people, vehicles very accurately. Very reliable and affordable product.

Wanted to wait a few week's before leaving a review. Set up is super easy, charging takes FOREVER, so charge prior to installing, connectivity tonour wifi was also very easy, any how, thus far, I've had to make adjustments as to what it captures because it will literally capture everything throughout the day and you'll be bombarded with notifications and the battery will eventually drain. You'll also have to get a subscription for it to function properly which is nuts but I wasn't concerned about that. My biggest complaint is that, it captures vehicles and people way to late, well, vehicles it definitely captures way to late, but with people it'll capture them every now and then as they get within the zone and other time's right before they exit the zone. As you can see in the video, it captures a vehicle way to late, and the other complaint is that it will capture our parked vehicles even while staying parked all day, even though I have let the app know that I know those vehicles. Does the system and software have potential? Absolutely, the dev's just need to take the consumer's advise and recommendations and implant them.

Edit: Seems like I may have been premature in my review. Lots of false alerts. Even after adjusting the sensitivity and other settings. So many alerts daily that I can't check them all.

Well made, sturdy, super easy to mount and set up through the app. They look nice too! I love being in charge of lights, alarms, audio and more. The night videos are really nice and clear and you can turn a light on to make them color. You can talk through the camera too. Very easy and a good value.

I installed these after I had a tad bit of conflict with a neighbor who made a weird remark about me living alone as a woman and I absolutely love them. I ordered the two pack and mounted one on the side of my house where I can see my driveway and one facing the backyard so I can see my pup when she’s back there or my neighbor throwing trash in my yard (the conflict) and I love them so much! They were perfect and don’t soak up too much of the WiFi. Feel much better being able to have things on camera now.

I initially bought this camera system in hope to see during the day. When I realize there's a night vision mode that turns on automatically ANDDDD have good respond rate. Having a solar powered system really helps as it doesn't contribute towards the overall electric bill. Good two way audio.

I’m impressed by the quality of these cameras and the app. I’m in between moving at the moment, so this video is the best I can do. Great cam, and playback works fine as long as there’s a memory card in the camera.

These are great little cameras! We ordered them to supplement our existing security system. These cameras are mounted on the front of the house to add coverage to areas that are not fully monitored by our Ring doorbell.
We already have two of the large Sovmiku Type 1 camera, so we felt comfortable ordering this smaller version. We were already familiar with the installation process so that was easily and quickly completed.
The only issue we had with the installation of our new cameras was the same one we had with our previous installations, the Alexa Skills app for Vicohome does not work. It links to the account, but Alexa will not respond. This is not a serious issue for us because we monitor activity on our watches and phones, but it would be nice to be able to call up the camera activity on our smart tv.
Other than that we are very happy with these cameras. The low profile makes them hardly noticeable so they don't distract from the curb appeal of our home, and they satisfy the requirements of our Homeowners Association.
