Excellent little throwback to wonderful days ! For the price you can't go wrong. It has a great sound in my short video the volume isn't even up half way and it sounds great recorded on my android phone. Thank you brother dear!!

Cute but doesn’t sound good

Cute, but sounds terrible. Scratchy and sounds like cymbals are playing in every song. Keeping it because it looks good.

Love this little vintage home addition!

Love it! Easy to get up and running. I noticed a few skips but nothing huge!

Perfect for starters!

I love this vinyl player! It comes in a bunch of different fun colors (pink, blue, black, etc.), and love the retro look.

It’s perfect for starters, it is very easy to use. It’s compact and light. The sound isn’t the best but it’s very good for the price. If you’re looking for better sound maybe a higher end vinyl player is for you. I’m personally happy with the sound though. You can connect your phone to the speakers of the vinyl player to listen to your music via bluetooth but cannot connect a bluetooth headphone to listen to records.

Other than that, I’ve had no issues with vinyls skipping. Everything works well :) I definitely recommend this unit!!!

Great starter turntable.

The setup is two steps: plug in & turn on. I chose the pink and the color is fantastic. The clasp thus far seems secure, the sound quality is great, no skips, no crackling of the speakers, it came with an extra needle guard, I like how it’s a suitcase style, that makes it super easy to carry around to another area and plug in. The only complaint that I do have is that the Bluetooth does not connect to my phone or to any other device. But I have plenty of other Bluetooth speakers, so it’s not really that big of a deal. I do intend on using it for the purpose that it actually is for which is for a vinyl record player. But having one that does have a functioning Bluetooth would be nice. That’s the only reason that it is not five stars.

Victrola Journey Bluetooth Portable- Lavender

The portable record player arrived packaged well. The record player plays the record well. The record player does not skip. The sound was great and has bluetooth connectivity. This record player is beautiful and the lavender color looks as advertised. My daughter likes how the portable record player can be closed-keeps it protected. Great price.

Update:03/31/2026, I was able to add one video.

Victrola Bluetooth portable suitcase

The Victrola Journey is a fun, affordable portable turntable that makes a good gift or starting point for casual music lovers. But if you care deeply about sound quality, sturdiness, and vinyl preservation, many audio-enthusiasts suggest upgrading to a dedicated mid-range turntable with better components.

Sounds Really Good

Got this as a gift for someone and surprised how good it sounds when plugged into speakers via RCA. Some heavier records have a bit of a flutter sound compared to higher end turntables but for the price, its good. The light blue looks nice.

exceeded expectations ✨🎶

I’m absolutely loving my Victrola Journey Bluetooth Portable Suitcase Record Player ✨🎶

Effortlessly stylish, portable, and so much fun, it’s bringing my vinyl collection to life everywhere I go. The sound is surprisingly rich, and honestly, it feels like a little piece of luxe for everyday listening. Highly recommend for anyone who wants music, style, and portability all in one!

Piece of junk. Do not buy!

While this was a gift for my kid for Christmas, they hate it. When you turn the volume up "too high" it hums. Initially I thought perhaps there was dust on the records or the needle. So they were cleaned. As most teenagers do, they played their record at a loud volume but the humming continued. If she touches the back toward the arm of the needle, it stops, but why should she have to do that to listen to her record at her desired volume WITHOUT humming?

Also, why does that back piece not seem secure? If she had let me know immediately, I would have returned it. Now we're stuck with this junk.

Not sure if I received a new one, but it works fine.

The product box was really damaged, and there was a fair amount of debris within the plastic wrap, so I was worried I was getting a used one. This would not have been acceptable as a gift. The player itself seems to be fine, though. It has a decent sound on it's own (I mean without Bluetooth speakers in use) and the color is true to what's advertised (Smokey Blue). All in all, I'm happy with it.

It looks as good as it sounds!

The record player came today and I've been playing my albums and a few more I recently bought at a thrift shop. I love this record player! The sound quality & volume are perfect for listening in my living room or wherever I move it since it's portable. I also like that I can connect external speakers to it if I want it louder but I doubt I'll need to. I haven't tried the blue tooth option yet. I'm enjoying the album player. That's really why I bought it. I'm delighted with it! And it's so pretty to look at too. The black leather and metal exterior is sharp looking. I can't wait to purchase more albums!

Love it, however…

To start, I only gave four stars as I bought this for my son as a birthday gift. When he opened it on his special day, the manual and power cord were missing. We didn’t realize it was even supposed to come with one, as the description said nothing about it being included, thought it might’ve been a secondary purchase, so we’re confused as to how it worked, and had to watch a YouTube “unboxing video” and realized it IS supposed to come with one, so had to go through the hassle of returning it and waiting a few more days for a new one that did include the power cord. Disappointing birthday gift. Other than that, my son now loves it and the sound and volume is great. We are now on the thrifting hunt for classic vinyls!

Amazing Record Player

This is my first record player and I’m really impressed with it. I went out and bought several albums and played them all and they all sound great. I really can’t find anything negative to say about this record player. Sound quality is really good and with the volume turned all the way up and it will easily fill a whole room. The only take away from it is that it could use just a tad bit more bass, but besides that there’s no other issues with it. Great for a living room, bedroom, man cave, etc.

Also want to add, the Bluetooth and headphone connections works fine as well.

Does the job at a very cheap price

I purchased on special at 28.00. It won’t last long. Today is the second time to use and had to turn knob for inline and phono over and over until it caught for the attached receiver with speakers. Works on phono when it does not connect but sound quality is strictly scratchy sounding. No base or base control. But hook it up to something and be patient with it and baam. You have an acceptable sound. Mind you these are 20 year old cheap speakers too playing in though the receiver. Wired speakers that you twist the end and put them in the hole in the back of the 20 year old receiver lol. So I would recommend for ppl on a fixed income who love their old school vinyl.

Aesthetically, beautiful and easy to use. Love the color!

We purchased this record player for our coffee shop, with a goal of having a more interactive music system than the traditional Bluetooth speakers. We put a couple records next to it so guests can choose their music, and everyone absolutely loves it. I’ll be honest, the most important part to us was the color, but it really is a beautiful color and as easily transportable.

The only downside to it is that when we play music through Bluetooth, it is just not very loud. Vinyl records are great, but the music is not loud enough to be heard across the shop, and it’s a pretty small shop.

But we are still giving it five stars for being an excellent record player, easy to use, and beautiful. And also very economical for the price.

Decent condition for used

I bought this used to save money. The actual player is in good condition. It sounds and plays just fine, but there are some damages. There’s a small piece broken off in the middle of the turntable and the turntable piece isn’t fully attached to the box. I keep coming back to edit my review because I keep finding more things wrong with it. But I paid $26 and it works just fine, so I’m not going to go through the hassle of returning it. Just wanted to show what you could be getting if you buy used.

A Solid Record Player for its price and value‼️💯

I was surprised by how loud and clear the sound quality was as I’m sure all of us are aware of the mixed reception that Victrolla has amongst the Vinyl community. But from my perspective of using it, this a solid Record Player if you’re on a budget and don’t want to go all out! Here in my short video, you can see me playing Michael Jackson’s Bad Album, with the Speed set to 33 whilst Speed Demon is playing, it sounds really good, obviously not as crazy loud as a more expensive turntable/record player is, but overall the speed is very good for its own. The size was actually slightly larger than I had originally thought which was a nice surprise, and it’s very easy to use as it took me less than two minutes to set the entire thing up and get to jamming. For its value and price, this Record Player is worth it so if you’re worried about being shunned by the Vinyl Community, don’t be afraid! This is a good record player if you’re looking for simple and fun. At the end of the day we’re all music lovers and we should all come together in support of one another. I am very comfortable with my choice in buying this record player and I hope my lengthy review will make others comfortable and welcome them to come by this calm and cool player! Cheers :)

Nostalgic, cute, fun, but don't expect to be blown away by the audio quality for the price

I was drawn to this thing because it's adorable. I mean, come on - turquoise and chrome? So cute. Overall I am very happy with this record player, but only rated three stars because you definitely get what you pay for.

First, the pros. Like I said, it's adorable. Having multiple color options makes it versatile for whatever color you prefer or goes with your room if you're into that kind of thing. It's small and compact, when closed up it's teensy and super portable.

For audio outputs it has RCA jacks on the back and a 3.5" audio jack on the turntable. For input there's a 3.5" line in jack on the turntable, and it is Bluetooth capable.

It's easy to use, it's fun, and its compact size makes it easy to set up wherever you want it.

Now the cons, and while there seem like a lot more than pros, at this price point it's not unexpected and not enough of a detractor for me to return the unit.

The built in speakers are, for lack of a better word, meh. They have a retro charm, for sure, but are pretty tinny. They make the fact that the Bluetooth capability of this player only works for receiving input pretty much useless - I wanted to connect my wireless headphones and thought the Bluetooth feature would allow me to do that, but it doesn't. I can't think of why someone would want to stream their music to these speakers seeing as very decent, inexpensive Bluetooth speakers are so abundant. I ended up purchasing a separate transmitting adapter to use my headphones which works great.

The arm is very light, so light that skipping is frequent. I use a clay poker chip to weigh it down and it solves the problem but I do wish it had some tension to hold it down a bit better.

The lifter doesn't have any guide for aligning it with the start of a record - it seems pretty standard to me that if it plays 33, 45, and 78 rpm albums that the arm lifter should have guides to keep you from lowering it off the edge of the record.

There's a switch to turn the turntable off at the end of an album, but the arm does not have an automatic lifter so it just sits there until you manually pick it up again. It would be nice to leave an album on repeat rather than needing to reset it every 20 minutes.

The finishing is a bit more sloppy than I would expect. It's not portrayed this way in the promotional images but the turquoise wrap around the case of my player is simply notched and folded over without any finishing to the raw edges, not even paint. This doesn't affect the function of the player but for the design appeal of the unit I was expecting this to look more tight.

Overall: it's a great little unit, fun to play around with and the perfect low-cost entry (or re-entry, in my case) point to get into vinyl. Just don't expect it to be amazing.

Sooo cute! Surprisingly good sound quality.

I seriously love this little record player. It is super cute, works great, easy to use, and travels well. Some of the reviewers were disappointed that you can’t hook it up to external speakers or Bluetooth, but that was not an issue for me. We have a record player in our media room that is hooked into all the things and we keep this one in our game room and can take it to parties, vacation, etc. Everyone loves it, including our teenage daughters and their friends. The sound quality is really good and it gets plenty loud enough for a large room, we usually don’t even use full volume. I did turn it to full volume on the video just to give you an idea. It is also a super fun gift idea for an older child, teen, or adult, and you can include a favorite vinyl, and it comes in many fun colors. I highly recommend this item and give it five stars based on all the things I love about it, and its price point.

Nostalgia Supreme

Let's get the important perspective part out of the way. So, y'know, you know where this is coming from. First, I'm not a vinyl fan (junkie, snob, nut) in that I do like digital music better. To me, just better. Not arguing. Just sayin'.

I also do not know anything about modern turntables, or sound systems, or what-not. Complete noob and enjoy my ignorance in this case because my brain is already full. Thus, I need music constantly to maintain sanity. Life should have a soundtrack.

But...

There is something wonderful (and, okay granted, a bit magical) about listening to a record that's been mastered for that purpose on a turntable like the Victrola Vintage. A lot of indie/alt bands do it, and this Victora brings back those childhood memories of listening to "records" over and over until you wore grooves in them because you couldn't afford a new needle. Yeah, we're talking the 80s, a paper route for income, and I'm dating myself.

The sound quality is quite good for the tiny speakers included. It's not great, mind you. It's not even wicked good. It is good, though, and totally radical dude. It surpassed my expectations, and I was surprised that the little speakers could handle loud. Not blow your face off loud, but loud enough to tick off the neighbors, so it's sufficient (if you don't like your neighbors, that is... ahem...) or play well in a room full of people at a small party as background music. It pops up a notch or ten when you add a tube amp and a good set of studio monitors. But let's face it, that defeats the purpose.

I didn't test the Bluetooth feature. Why would you need Bluetooth on a record player? Um, because everything is better with Bluetooth, of course. You don't need it, you won't use it, but there it is. So, good.

(Okay, this unit is supposed to be portable, but I prefer to think of it as storable. But let's pretend you're out and about in the wild and all you have is your cell, a power source(?), and your Victrola. You want to play some tunes but phones suck at that. There ya go: Bluetooth.)

It plays 33s, 45s, and 78s. It's easy to store and carry around. The needle cartridges are easy to get. It has a headphone jack and RCA jacks out. It sounds good as is. Everything you need to enjoy music old-school style.

Mainly, though, the Victrola Vintage Portable Suitcase Record Player is perfect for putting on a nice chunk of vinyl in the background and letting the nostalgia wash over you as you work or just relax with a nice glass of wine.

In short, I love it. If you just want something to play vinyl on occasionally and want your own personal way-back machine, I don't see how you can go wrong here.

Two enthusiastic thumbs up. Fine nostalgic fun!

Great for getting into vinyl

I'll just say flat-out that I am pleasantly surprised at how good my unit sounds. For the price, I certainly expected worse. I have been listening to Miles Davis - Kind of Blue for the last couple hours, and my Klipsch's are making this thing sing. It really does sound quite good, and for what this cost, I have absolutely 0 complaints on that end of things. As far as the built-in speakers, I only heard them for a minute before hooking the player into a much larger separate system, but from what I did hear, the built-in speakers were adequate, thought certainly not outstanding. If you have a separate system of decent or higher quality to plug this into, I strongly recommend you do that if you mainly plan to listen to it at home.

The only thing that caused me to dock a star is that the unit I received does have an immediately noticeable amount of wobble on the platter. This is not affecting the sound quality and it still appears to be operating within spec, but the leveling of the platter is still something that certainly could be done better. But again, for the price you're paying here, you really can't go expecting perfection. Overall, this is great first foray into vinyl, and I never thought I'd enjoy it as much as I am.

Roark Gourley

It works, its not great, but thats fine by me

First off before I write this review let me just say I did a lot of research on this kind of record player and even a few of my own experiments so i would consider what i found to be pretty credible. I wish someone wrote a review like this for me when I was considering buying it.

#1 Is this a good record player for beginners or people who only want a few records to play for the aesthetic? Absolutely. The sound quality is meh, but I mean what do you expect for $40. It plays the records no problems, and the bluetooth is great for just whenever.

Now here is how you can upgrade your setup with minimal spending. Get an RCA to mini jack cable. Plug that into a speaker you already have or if in my case you have a practice amp cause you play an instrument, get a mini jack to 1/4 converter and plug it into the amp! It works great!

#2 Will this ruin my records?

No. It will not. I made a little scale and using pennies weighed out the tracking force to be around 5g. Now compared to $200 record players that track at 3g this seems like a lot. But be aware, when records were made, they were made to withstand up to 7 or 8g of tracking force cause lots of old players tracked at around 5 or 6g. Now tracking heavier like this will yes, wear them out faster, but it will NOT ruin them! The needle is also a diamond, so the needle is pretty decent actually.

Now you can actually fix the tracking force on this thing. Get a small scale, like the kind to bake with, put your tone arm on it, get some pennies and nickels and start stacking them at the back of the tone are where the counterweight should be. One your tone arm reads at about 3.5-4g. Take those coins, tape them together, and tape them to the back of that tone arm. Maybe even go for around 4-4.5g because in my experience these cheap ones skip very easily.

#3 Is it portable?

Absolutely not. You need to plug it into an outlet, and it could totally break with some throwing around. Also the lid is completely useless.

I took the lid off by unscrewing the screws on the back hinges. The lid is NOT big enough even when open to run 12" vinyls. The edge is right under your record, like millimeters under, and if you have ANY warping, at all it will hit the edge and cause it to skip. This is likely the problem a lot of people have when it skips and just don't know it. Just take the lid off its useless.

#4 Does it skip? Does it sound weird?

No, not at all. I had it skip on me once, and after replaying that section it never did it again. Probably was just my fault since i accidentally tapped the vinyl I was playing when getting it out of the sleeve. Also I tested the wow and flutter using a phone app. Let me tell you that it is BAD, like the wow and flutter is REALLY HIGH. But, even so, I didnt notice ANY sort of distortion in the sound. It might be worse when playing above 33rpm but at least for 33, its fine.

#5 Is it worth the price?

100% as long as you know what your getting. I didn't expect this player to be good or even great. Its okay at best and I'm fine with that cause its $40. If you are looking for a very nice player that delivers great sound quality, dont get this. If you want to really get into vinyl, dont get this. If you want to experience the most you can from your records, dont get this. If you want to just play a couple of records for cheap and have them in your room cause its cool and aesthetic, go ahead, im doin it for that exact reason.

Dont be afraid to purchase a used one for less, you can always return it if it is actually broken, but it will probably work anyway)

Beautiful, Friends love it

Love this record player, it looks great in a room pretty enough to be decor and it sounds great. I’ve received so many compliments from friends and neighbors who all want to buy there own. Speaking of price it’s such good quality for such a low price It’s really easy to use, the bluetooth works great i love being able to play Pandora from my phone when I don’t want to listen to one of my records I also enjoy playing podcasts on it while I cook dinner. It’s portablility is another great feature we like to sit on our back deck and listen to music while watchin the sunset. The white/gold is beautiful the gold really stands out and goes with my decor vintage decor it doesn’t look cheap at all only downfall is that the inside is like a velvet and I know its going to get dirty from any lil speck of dust and idk how I plan on cleaning it when it does, it’s nice to be able to close the lid to keep that from happening it came with a couple small marks n spots on it being that it’s white u can see very detail and I notice everything I definitely would not buy white again. I think the player gets loud enough I can hear it very well in other rooms but my husbands would prefer to get some other speakers for when we want it even louder

Speakers are perfect for me!

I'd like to start this off by saying I am not very educated on records or Bluetooth. I purchased this because I love all things vintage and I've been dying to play my Mary Poppins and Sound of Music records. I was a bit hesitant to purchase this record player because so many reviews mentioned the speakers being weak and needing to purchase a seperate Bluetooth speaker. So I decided to purchase it from a store in case I was disappointed with the speakers and wanted to return it. I bought this record player 2 days ago and have played 10 different records on it so far. I am completely satisfied with my purchase! I have a 4 bedroom ranch and with the volume all the way up I can hear music in every room! I'm sure if I had my loud family over for the holidays we would be able to hear the music no problem. Also, even being 24 I'm terrible when it comes to technology so I was nervous first setting up this player. It was so easy to do and I was able to listen to music in 5 minutes of opening the box. This record player completely filled my needs and exceeded my expectations. 5 stars!!!
