Not good on bass

This speaker is okay ig, it's easy to connect, litghting is good. It's got a tiny bit of weight. The size is good but I feel like it's not good on bass. The color is good too. The battery life as usual it doesn't last.

A Speaker Plus a Bit Extra.

the speaker literally just arrived. I took it out of the box and paired it with my phone and instantly was impressed with the quality. the other nice surprise is that it has an auxiliary in and a built-in bottle cap on the strap buckle. I know there are a couple one-star reviews on this product and I'm pretty sure they are valid but the thing that a lot of people don't realize is so many things are mass produced and low quality products get through and sometimes they don't get a quality check the best thing to do is try to get with the company and get a new one. but from what I'm witnessing so far and just the first 20 minutes I'm impressed.

Sonido excelente

Suena increíble lo recomiendo

Compared to the W-King D8

This review is going to be a technical comparison between the W King D8 and the W King X10

For the quick review here it is, for personal listening I actually recommend the D8 over the X 10, but if you want to have louder clearer music for outdoor listening then I would suggest the X 10.

Both the D8 and the X 10 are actually very similar in size and weight. The D8 has more rugged protection, but the X 10 looks sleeker in comparison. The X 10 has a nice startup sound when you first turn it on and it also has a nice LED strip on the back connections and charging port which is pretty nice, and a bigger battery for longer playtime.

Now here is going to be the technical review, the reason I recommend the D8 over the X 10 for personal listening is because the X 10 is actually overly harsh when you listen to it directly compared to the D8 and I’ll explain below.

They focused on having more bass output for the X 10 so it has bigger woofers and because of that they relegated all of the other frequencies to the tweeters, which specialize in all of the high-pitched sound. It sounds good at first, but if you’re facing the speaker directly even if it’s a good 6 to 8 feet away it will get really fatiguing pretty fast.

In comparison, the D8 while it doesn’t have as much bass output, but it’s also not harsh on the ears. Here’s a quick test and did on both speakers, I blocked the tweeters and only let the woofers play and the results were pretty interesting. The D8 woofers play a big range of sound not just bass but also a lot of mid range. The X 10 woofers on the other hand, mostly play bass only so the tweeters have to play all of the other frequencies.

The X 10 does have more bass output and louder sound overall, but it’s simply not balanced.

In an outdoor setting with the speaker, not facing you the X 10 will definitely sound louder and crisper. However, for personal or indoor listening I actually recommend the D8 because it has a much more balanced sound without sounding too harsh. Hope this review helps

It was the best purchase I've ever made, I'm really satisfied with this speaker. I thought it wouldn't weigh much, but it weighs more than a JBL Xtreme 4! For me, it's my queen 👑

Ugh!

First one came with a smashed box; second one has been on charge since I got it yesterday and it hasn’t charged all the way??? Do I keep it or exchange it again?? Sounds great as my other smaller W King…

Ok so I’m on my FOURTH one! It came in pristine condition. It came fully charged. I’ve used it since yesterday. The bass: meh- you can feel it more than hear it; if that makes sense. On button is hard to push. I’m giving it 4 stars because I’m comparing it to my Hardon Kardon 5.. can’t find a 1,4,5,6 anymore- unless you pay a zillion bucks! Now those are amazing. This sounds good but not great! My old W-King that I paid $75 in 2019 is not wanting to charge very well. This was $99 and it’s worth it! Also I got a JBL Extreme 4- it sounded bad- zero bass and I even had the bass all the way up on the app. I laughed. This is much better than that!

Sound Good, Build Maybe not!

I had a different W-King speaker in the past, the 80 watt one and the woofers blew out. I decided to take a chance on another one and I upgraded to this 120 watt model. The sound is great! However as you can see in a very short time it appears that the material they used to cover the speaker with, the grill so to speak, is bubbling up already and I'm expecting that's only going to get worse.

Durable w/good quality sound

Purchased March 2022. Besides a slower charging time everything about this speaker has held up. Used it with an aux cord on a portable radio for the drive in theatre. Used it for the TV as a speaker. Now I'm using it with my CD player with an aux cord to listen to all my old CDs. Awesome sound compared to a smaller one I purchased. Prob stick to WKing brand. It's more bass than my UE speaker (wonder boom & mega boom) . Bluetooth as well as having an aux plug helps with all my different devices.

Didn’t last a year of very little use

Bluetooth stopped working. Contacted customer support and even with video evidence they refused to admit there was an issue. They only do full refunds up to 6 months which should tell you everything you need to know about the quality. They kept trying to get me to purchase another at a discount. They offered 50% discount as their biggest discount. So now we have a very expensive wire speaker.

This thing is POWERFUL!

I've gone through quite a few Bluetooth speakers but this one? Absolutely incredible, hands down one of the best speakers I have ever owned and the price is insane!

I've seen other brands go double for a Bluetooth speaker and they don't sound like this one.

The battery life is strong. Very strong, easy to use, connects quickly to your phone. And the signal is strong, I'm a sanitation worker and I leave my speaker playing while I leave my truck and the signal does not fade.

The strap is an awesome added touch, I can work freely and enjoy the music and hard hitting bass without having to hold a handle.

10/10 i wish I could give this thing 10 stars.

Punchy bass, clear sound, ok battery life.

Where do I start? This bad boy has served me well for 2 years mounted on a forklift 10 hours a day, falling off occasionally, and absolutely maxed out on volume. Pictures are after 2 years of heavy use. The battery life was never great, but I use it on FULL blast every day and would get about 4-5 hours before having to lower the volume to make it to the end of the shift. The speaker is currently on it's last legs now regarding battery life. I have tried multiple chargers and the speaker is taking more than 18 hours to charge to full. I might get 2 hours of full volume before hitting the battery low 10% warning. It's a shame because I absolutely love this speaker, but getting less than 600 charge cycles really sucks. I will be going to a different brand after this. Thanks for the memories W-KING.

X10 with microphone, strongly recommend!

Love this speaker. It’s just over a foot long and has a strap for easy carrying. The bass is impressive and the clarity is incredible. Has a dependable battery and can easily last several hours at high volume. It is ideal for home use or outdoors. We do a lot of camping and boating and this is now our speaker to take with us for both. I have not fully tested the water proofing and don’t intend to but as advertised it is a nice touch for taking out on the lake, let sit out at the campsite, or have near the pool without worrying about water damage. So nice my wife ordered a second one for the kitchen. You can charge your phone and use a microphone as well. You can Bluetooth music from your phone and turn microphone to use them at the same time for karaoke, I highly recommend!

I have a previous model of a W-King in my barn that I really like as well. The charger broke soon after purchase and customer service replaced it immediately with no questions asked. They have since changed the chargers and charging ports to a better quality. Seems they really do go for quality.

Oops- Be Sure to Check volume settings when testing new Speaker 🔈

The 3rd word in the description is “Loud” that is a lie. I am not sure this is even the product described because the writing on radio is very small and dark gray (illegible). This a bedroom radio at best. I can’t wait to get my money back.

I recently purchased another blue speaker and it wasn’t loud enough with iPad compared to my phone. So I went into the sound settings and my volume was down as low as 40%. The new radio has unbelievable sound. Which made me think 🤔 that may have been problem with the W-King.

Unbelievable Speaker!

The best bass and incredible battery life. Could not recommend this high quality speaker enough. Plus you can Bluetooth or use a memory card for your tunes. A must have!

Great Sound, a Tad Bit Heavy

The weight of this speaker is not a deal breaker, but I was looking for something to easily transport in a backpack. If you are looking for a great sound in spaces without any sound system (backyard, outdoors, basement, garage, etc) this is definitely the speaker. I was surprised at its base response and the 70W deliver as an exterior speaker. Strap is wide and comfortable to carry its weight, plus it has a bottle opener (wink, wink)

Not sure about the battery life, but I would imagine with its mass, it will delivery the expected performance. It did arrive with a good charge out of the box. (it does take 8.5+ hours to fully charge when depleted.

Great spreaker at a great price

Was hesitant to buy purchased it 10/10 would buy it again! It sounds really good and gets loud. Sounds good with almost any genre of music. The only thing to note is dont jack up the volume all the way you will get a bit of distortion. Not that you would need to its so loud! The build quality is amazing for the price it has led lights on the back access panel that make it so you can find the ports even in the dark. This is going to be a great speaker for camping with the long battery life and the panel lights. The shoulder strap it comes with is also built very nice all metal no plastic! Also the strap has a built in bottle opener. This brand goes the extra mile on build quality and because theres no app to go with it theres not a bunch of over head so they can sell you a quality product at an affordable price.

Superb Sound, Long Battery Life, Great Price !!!!!!

I love the speaker, it has superb sound, long battery life and great price. The only issue I have is the auxillary input/output, it does not hold the audio cable end in place, I am not sure if the output/input is defective.

Excelente Bajo

Great Bluetooth speaker!

This is a very nice Bluetooth speaker. First off, unlike some other brands of BT speakers, I like that that the W King volume controls and those of the connected mobile device are independent - I feel like I have finer gradations of volume control. Given that most Bluetooth speakers employ passive radiators, I really like that this model has 3! So the bass is quite good given the passive radiator technology! And the equalizer setting to emphasize the bass works well if a listener wants more thumping (without much degradation to the midrange IMHO!) The speakers themselves are top notch (again IMHO); I definitely feel with them that I can tell the difference in music quality between different streaming services - so it goes without saying that the speakers are robust enough to differentiate between the recording quality of individual recordings.

I do like the look of this speaker, I feel it is the sleekest looking in the W King line (again IMHO.) The unit’s weight is appropriate for the functionality it provides and it connects to my phone rapidly. I can’t even say best of all since this unit has so many strong points but its price point is actually quite incredible. It is a speaker that gives a lot for the money! (I do have another W King speaker and I enjoy it immensely as well!)

No JBL killer but still sounds great

Straight out of the box this speaker didn't impress me at all compared to my Xtreme 3. The Xtreme 3 digs a little deeper on the bass(better suited indoors against a wall) but the x10 is noticeably louder.(better outdoor speaker) I took the advice of another reviewer and downloaded the Wavelet app and that really helped out ALOT. The indoor mode to me sounds like somebody has their hand covering the tweeters so I don't use that one. The outdoor mode sounds the best. It doesn't kill the bass like some have suggested, rather boosting the highs for a more balanced sound but the bass is still there.

Tune the EQ and this thing sounds like a decent sized, distortion free PA speaker. Check the pic for my EQ setting on outdoor mode. Good setting for most genres of music. At $115, this is definitely a winner 🏆

Great for small outdoor fun with a small to medium group

I have had one for about a month now and yes it is a good speaker especially with the right equalization. Motion boom has amazingly low bass but does not play very loud and is one of the best speakers you can buy. However the X10 plays loud and has great mids and highs with a more punchy bass rather than boom of the motion boom. I take the X10 out when I don't want to take my more expensive JBL partbox 2 out and I want to provide music for a small group of friends. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

The Best Speaker In It's Class

This is by far the best bluetooth speaker in it's class I've ever owed. The bass has great lows well balanced with mids and crystal clear highs. Way better sounding than a similar one I owed and returned @$350. You all know which one. This is by far an outstanding speaker unlike any other in it's class. I highly recommend this one. You Will NOT regret it. Great job W-King! You live up to your name 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
