I bought these to replace some plain non-electronic ear ear protection I was using because I was taking some shooting classes and needed to hear the instructor as well as deaden the gun noises. I found them to be very effective for that. I was able to hear instructions well, and the gun sounds were well muffled. The volume control provided ample amplification over a variety of range conditions, and you can wear them with microphones facing front or back, depending on where your instructions are coming from. The audio input jack seems useless, as nearly all devices are Bluetooth these days. Although they function well, they fit poorly and are quite uncomfortable. The ear cups are too small for an adult and they padding is inadequate. After spending about 40 or 50 hours of range time with these, I cannot recommend them for that reason.

💯 Worth it!
Awesome buy! You can literally hear any dialogue going on around you in almost perfect clarity! Yet the bigger calibers did not breach! Feels like it’s made of good quality materials! Adjusted nicely to my head while still covering my ears! And so compact when folded that I easily stored them in my ammo box!
I bought a case for mine separately because they do NOT come with one.
Im not sure how long the 2AAA batteries will last but it’s not like that will change my opinion on these. Even comes with a headphone jack I will surely never use, but at least the option is there.

Read the description
In 2026, I pretty much never expect things like this to run on actual batteries, rather than a charging cable— so I was surprised to open the package and realized that there was no charging port, and that I would have to buy batteries every single time I needed to charge the headphones. I use them every day, so it is not realistic or sustainable for me to buy batteries that often. Also, I didn't like the way they squeezed my head.

Not a Petite fit... 😳
Great product that comes in One Size with adjustable head band. I had to return due to the fit being too big overall. Did not completely cover ears at the smallest /shortest setting.
Note: My head circumference is about 19 ".
As a petite adult woman or teen, this should be considered when purchasing. Hope this helps.

Dead on Arrival. Junk. I’ll try another brand.
DOA. Just received the walkers, razor slam Electronic muffs in carbon. Box had already been open. Tape had already been cut, and there was a piece laying in the outer box that should’ve been in the original for display purposes. It was obvious this has been sold to somebody else and they returned it for the same reason I’m going to. They don’t power up at all. I’m done. I’ll get a refund. I don’t even wanna try again. I’ll get another brand. Sick of this receiving supposedly brand new things that are returns from other people and have already been opened.

Great Noise Reduction
Very nice! As soon as I put them on it instantly blocked out all sound around me, it came with triple AAA batteries. Once they were installed I turned the dial and could hear my surroundings clearly! They fit snug on my head and ears, I had to adjust them slightly to fit but not difficult at all!! I can’t wait to take these to the range! Once I test them I’ll update my review!

Great for the price!
The Walker's Razor Slim Electronic Muff’s are excellent for the price. I’ve been using them for a while and they stand true to the brand
Pros: very comfortable, I don’t get migraines wearing these and still hug well around the ears. They cancel out all noises from guns I’ve used while still being able to hear conversations. These are also very durable as they’ve been tossed around a bit and still hold up with no complications.
Cons: these aren’t Peltors so they don’t have all those fancy features. While I can hear conversations, I can still plainly hear the wind blowing in the mic and other subtle movements that are also magnified so it cancels get distracting listening to conversations while people are working around me.

Absolutely worth it.
I went to the range with a friend and she had this ear pro; I tried it out and loved it. I’m in the Army and have a permanent profile for hearing damage, so I’m doing my best to preserve the hearing I do have. There are so many great color options, but I settled on the “FDE” (flat dark earth) color with the flag! Absolutely love it and looking forward to taking these to the range. :)

Performance great condition not so great
I am a brand new shooter and needed equipment for training. These were not bulky, they were comfortable and the sound quality was very good. I have a ton of hair and they fit nicely over that and a hat.
They lost a star because of the condition they were in when they arrived. There was a sticky coating on the outside of them, the ends were a bit marked up and the battery compartment was corroded in one end. I didn’t open the box until the morning I needed them for a training so I had to use them. I was able to use alcohol and wipe off some of the sticky coating. I will buy another pair though and inspect the contents sooner.

Walker’s Razor Slim Electronic Muffs – A Reliable Pick for Families
We use these regularly at the shooting range, and their ability to cancel out loud background noise while allowing for clear conversation makes them a dependable choice. They're tight enough to wear without doubling up on ear protection — just the muffs alone do the job well.
One highlight was when our 3-year-old daughter wore them during the Fourth of July fireworks — she could enjoy the show without being overwhelmed and still hear us talking to her. They adjusted easily to her small head and fit just as comfortably on adults.
The design folds down nice and compact, making them easy to toss into a bag for on-the-go use. While the color options are limited, we gravitate toward black anyway — it’s practical and hides dirt well. Price-wise, it’s a great value. Sure, the sound clarity isn’t perfect, but for once-a-month use, it’s more than good enough.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a versatile and affordable option — especially for kids who need solid ear protection without sacrificing communication.

Must Have
Walker Ear Protection Review:
These Walker ear protection headphones are an absolute game changer for anyone serious about shooting. Ear protection is essential, but it’s only effective if you actually keep them on and with these, you’ll never have to take them off to hear or talk to anyone. The built-in microphone is a fantastic feature, allowing you to communicate without removing the headphones.
I purchased these back in 2022 specifically for the shooting range, and they’ve been perfect. They’re comfortable, fit well, and come in a premium-quality case that speaks to the product’s overall craftsmanship. Right out of the box, the first impressions were excellent the design is sleek, and the build feels sturdy and high-end.
What really stands out, though, is the volume control knob on the side. It allows you to turn on the microphone, and it does an amazing job of filtering out harmful noise while letting you hear conversation and other important sounds clearly. Whether you’re at the range or in any noisy environment, these ear protectors effectively eliminate loud gunshots while ensuring you can stay engaged with those around you.
Overall, these provides top-tier performance, comfort, and convenience for anyone looking to protect their hearing during shooting activities. Highly recommend!

Fantastic set of shooting earmuffs. I love that you can hear what others are saying by the built in electrical volume control. The appearance is very pleasing to the eye with the green and tan look. The battery life is very long too. I even use them for mowing the lawn so they are very versatile as well. The earmuffs are comfortable for an all day wear and the seal is great. Overall they preform great in all situations. Upgrade today to some quality shooting earmuffs. You won’t regret it!

Great solution
This is a review of two related items:
~ Walker's Razor Slim Electronic Muff (RSEM) light teal color (ASIN: B076HG138S; item model number: GWP-RSEM-LTL; price on 2025/05/23: $32.79; price 2025/05/30: $46.46)
~ Walker's Walkie Talkie (WT) attachment (ASIN: B07QFCP93T; item model number: GWP-RZRWT; price on 2015/05/23: $26.20; price today: $28.99 down from $49.99)
I've used the Howard Leight Impact Sport (HLIS) electronic earmuffs for years, so some portion of this review will be in comparison to the HL.
The Walker's RSEM is very similar to HLIS in design and in function. The headband, the muffs, and the general construction is very similar as if they copied each other's design.
The RSEM (just like the HLIS) has a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of low to mid 20s. For hearing protection while shooting, I don't consider 20 dB of reduction to be adequate, and I usually wear NRR 30 disposable foam earplugs under the muffs. Because the amplified electronic earmuff volume can be turned up, NRR 30 earplugs would be fine to wear underneath. In a traditional non-electronic earmuff, wearing foam ear plugs underneath maybe too much attenuation if you want to have a conversation with someone.
The RSEM (just like the HLIS) has a slim design. Collapsed, they are moderately compact, and do not take up a lot of space in the shooting bag.
The RSEM (just like the HLIS) has an auxiliary headphone jack, so you can plug in an audio plug to listen to music, or use this jack to plug in a two way radio attachment. Walker's makes the WT attachment which is affordable and easy to use. Meanwhile, I'm not able to easily find a simple solution for the lay shooter using the HLIS.
There is no active noise cancellation, however, I could say this offers active noise reduction with passive noise isolation; noise isolation from the ear muffs, and noise reduction from the microcircuit that selectively amplifies ambient noise except for loud noises.
Currently, it looks like the Razor Tacti-Grip Slim Electronic muff (ASIN: B08LXS9B9M; item model number: GWP-RSEMRH) is the least expensive at $34.45.
The Howard Leight does offer some color and design options, but far fewer than Walker's does.
The RSEM (just like the HLIS) is not that comfortable to wear, but it's tolerable for a few hours. They can be worn over a baseball cap. They won't fit very well over a normal thickness beanie.
Now, onto the Walker's WT attachment. This is thing that sets the RSEM apart from the HLIS. This attachment is affordable, easy to install, easy to use, and requires no other equipment. (In contrast, I did come across two way radio adapters that turn a handheld radio and the HLIS into a communication device, but that's not quite affordable or easy to use.)
After I installed three AAA batteries into the WT attachment, I attached it to the RSEM. The instructions didn't mention removing the rubber cap to the headphone jack, but I felt this was necessary for a good fit. I was initially unable to hear any received transmission. After a few moments, I found that this was because the WT attachment didn't fit onto the muff very well, and the plug wasn't fully seated into the jack. With some force, I was able to mate the WT attachment to the RSEM, and was able to hear received transmission.
The mic seems a little short, but it picks up well even with VOX. Three is a little bit of delay from the time I start speaking until VOX turns l activates, but the solution is to talk like an airline pilot. "Uhhhhhhhh, this is your captain speaking...." The only adjustments to the VOX sensitivity is "HI" or "LO," so fine tuning may be necessary to talk louder or softer, or adjust the microphone placement away or closer to the mouth. I wish it had infinite sensitivity adjustment using a dial.
Being able to use the full list of 22 FRS frequencies is nice, unlike cheap walkie talkies that only offer 10 or so. The priority channel feature nice and could come in handy at a large event when users on different frequencies: this is basically a scam feature. The audio quality is OK, but this is a $50 toy radio, I guess.
The 99 sub channels are not really sub channels, but by using CTCSS, transmission from radios not using the same CTCSS is not heard on the handset. Wikipedia has a good explanation:
"CTCSS tone codes are sometimes referred to as sub-channels, but this is a misnomer because no additional radio channels are created. All users with different CTCSS tones on the same channel are still transmitting on the identical radio frequency, and their transmissions interfere with each other; however; the interference is masked under most conditions. Although it provides some protection against interference, CTCSS does not offer any security against interception or jamming, and receivers without CTCSS enabled will still hear all traffic."
Being an FRS radio, if you use this in a busy area, you may unfortunately have to hunt for an open frequency.
My only concern with the WT attachment is wether the WT attachment would stay properly mated to the RSEM during movements. I can pull on the bottom of the WT attachment and partially unplug it moderately easily even with the top clamp on. It may be that the plastic moulding of the RSEM or WT attachment is inconsistent, and some reshaping or modification is needed. I'll continue to monitor, and see if I can identify an easy solution.
Overall, this is a great solution for on the shooting range.

Durable and Comfortable
I’ve got into shooting more this past year or so, and man! These are by far my favorite pair of ear protectors yet. They are comfortable, durable, and most importantly work as they advertise. Even when I’m putting rounds down range, I can hear and locate the sounds and voices around me while still have comfortable ear protection from all the noise going on around me.

Audio quality ok, not as sound reactive as I thought
Just as I mentioned in the video, the BIGGEST let down to these walkers are that it doesn't cancel out the loud noises as soon as they happen. It just lowers the volume/db if that makes any sense. You can still hear the shot (some calibers louder than others) instead of cancelling the shot so there's that. I also forgot to mention that they're both omnidirectional BUT the zohan tend to pick up more on direction of noise where the walkers direct the sound in the center wether it's to the left or right. I hope this makes sense.

Amazing Electronic Earmuffs for Shooting
I had previously purchased Passive Earmuffs for the shooting range but wanted to investigate Electonic Earmuffs for outdoor range (and potential home defense if time permits in case I pull out my 10 mm). I reviewed 19 different Electronic Earmuffs and collected a set of metrics for each (price, review rating, comfort, NRR, amplification, and attack time). I also looked through a couple dozen reviews to see which Electronic Hearing Protection the reviewers favored. What I found was there were reviews all over the map but the Walker Razor Slim Earmuffs seemed to standout so I purchased a set. I had also purchased the AXIL TRACKR Electronic Earmuffs for comparison purposes. In my opinion, the Walker's are more comfortable, slimmer, and don't give off weird noises when volume is turned up high. I purchased a 3.5 mm to USB-C cable so I could listen to music from my phone and gauge the overall quality. Both Earmuffs seems to perform well but the Walkers had the clear advantage - very clean. I also noticed the Walkers would shut off sound from 3.5 mm jack if Volume what shut off; the AXIL TRACKR earmuffs leave the 3.5 mm jack active regardless of where the Volume is set (on or off). I wore the Walkers for about 4 hours outdoors while cutting wood on my table saw and assembling a stand (in 90 degree Florida weather) - I was impressed that I could wear any Earmuffs for that length of time. The AXILs seem to have slightly better Amplification (8X) but this comes at the price of listening to weird artifacts that come and go. Overall, I was absolutely shocked at how well the Walker Razor Slim Electronic Earmuffs performed so far. The true test will be when I go the Range but I need to wait for my Rotator Cuff Surgery recovery first. I'm so impressed that I will probably go out and purchase a 2nd set along with the Walkie-Talkie adaptor.

Comfortable and good fit, but the audio quality is pretty bad
I bought the Walker's Razor earmuffs along with the other two leading brands of shooting ear protection (Peltor Rangeguard and Howard Leight Impact Sport) to try to find the one that would work the best for me and my wife.
The Walker's Razor fits well on my head (medium-large head) but it doesn't fit as well on my wife's head (smaller head). The fit is good and comfortable, and the cups can provide a good seal around the ears. The part where the Walker's really dropped the ball is the audio quality: while with the other earmuffs, once the microphone is activated, it sounds like you are not wearing anything, with the Walker's it sounds like you are hearing voices and sounds through a telephone call. It feels very artificial and weird, and kind of annoying.
Watch my video where I do a comparison between all three models to get all the details!
