In my capacity as a video editor utilizing a Mac Mini M2 Pro, I sought to enhance my workflow by incorporating multiple displays. The Wavlink Quad Monitor Adapter fulfilled this requirement with exceptional functionality. It facilitates connectivity to up to four external displays via a single Thunderbolt USB-C connector.
The product is meticulously crafted, and it supports resolutions of up to 4K. However, it is important to note that the adapter is not plug-and-play. Instead, you will need to download and install a software driver for your operating system to enable support for multiple displays. The installation process is relatively straightforward. Once the driver is installed and the necessary permissions are granted, the adapter will function flawlessly as intended.
Over the course of more than four weeks, I have been utilizing this setup without encountering any technical difficulties. I am highly satisfied with the product’s functionality and quality, and I highly recommend it to others seeking to enhance their display setup.

Slight flickering here and there but it does the job.
I was getting this to use with my computer at work. I got my 4 monitor setup and this actually worked decently. It is not perfect as there are some flickering issues here and there but it is not distracting. It does have issues with video streaming sites but this is great for everyday tasks at work. I can plug in my video and my laptop charger. It can have sound output to one of my monitors but you cannot do it for all of them at once which is expected. I do have to use bluetooth keyboard and mouse with this or plug in directly into my laptop to use external devices. This one does not come with a power cable of any kind. This does require a external power via type c charger to work. I can use my laptop charger. Just make sure you are checking what the charger requirement is if you are able to connect it to your laptop charger. This is not a thunderbolt device. You will not utilize all the benefits of thunderbolt but it does work on the port. The device is not as expensive as other video docks. You do have to install their software to get all four screens to work out. I like that the software built into the device to make it easier to setup and install. It is not a plug and play device. It may have some required specifications to make sure it can handle the extra processing for video. I found the better the specification, the more stable connection so I will say it varies depending on the device. The device does not come with a usb a connector and I am not sure if an adapter will get it to work. There are four hdmi plugs and one type c charging plugs on the other side. I did try it without a software and found that if you are just using one monitor then no software is required (also how it works for mac). Upon trying without the software, I found the limit is two monitors but it will vary. It works well with mac so far although there a limitation. As stated before, I did find there are some flicker or lag a little bit. The cable length give you some slack so you are a further from your laptop. The cable material is thick and I found no issues with fraying. I found it does support on windows 11 and mac os. I did not try it on windows 10. The connecting cable cannot be changed out for another and replaced if you happen to need to change cable. The HDMI cables are not provided. Regardless of the flickering issue, the video quality is not bad. The video quality and resolution can be capped based on the device. The sound quality is not too bad on this. There is no sound delay. The device is actually a decent size but it is not too hard to cable manage. I did find the weight from the heavier hdmi cable tends to pull the adapter down. Regardless, it is easy to setup and the design is very simple. The outer casing is nice but it is a bit easy to scratch. I can put this in my bag to take on the go with me. Overall I think this adapter is decent if you want additional monitor output for your station. It works great for my work station. It is a straight forward setup as other devices. It does require a software for a certain amount of monitors. Because of the software, it cannot do certain things like stream from sites like hulu. The device gives good video signal but there are some flickering here and there.

The dock requires proprietary drivers which can record displayed activities and send to manufacture.
There are 2 main concerns about this dock. The first issue is it does not work out of the box like most other docks and require proprietary drivers to function. This in itself is not that big of a deal, just a hassle do to compare to other docks.
The second concern is more serious. The proprietary drivers require the ability to record the screen activities to function. This is a hard no for me. The manual FAQ mentions how they will not record the activities or send to anyone, but that is not an acceptable assurance as many companies can change their stance on monitoring at any time without notice. While the dock is well made and seem to function to provide connection to 4 displays, I will not be using this dock due to the privacy concern about the driver software recording displayed activities.

A Docking Station That Finally Let Me Run My Whole Setup the Way I Wanted
Setup was way easier than I thought it would be. I plugged in the power, connected the USB C cable to my Mac, and then started hooking up the monitors one by one. The dock picked them up fast, no weird flickering or “why is this screen black” moments. I had two HDMI monitors and two DisplayPort ones, and it handled all of them without complaining. The picture stayed sharp on all four screens, even when I was dragging windows around like a madman.
The build feels solid too. It’s got some weight to it so it doesn’t slide around the desk when you plug stuff in. The ports feel tight, not loose or wobbly. I’ve unplugged and replugged a bunch of times already and nothing feels like it’s wearing out. The metal shell stays cool too, even when I’m running all four monitors plus a couple USB drives and my audio interface. One thing I liked a lot is how stable everything stays once it’s running. I’ve used docks before that randomly drop a screen or freeze for a second, but this one just keeps going. I had a full editing session with four monitors running, a hard drive connected, and my Mac charging through the dock, and it didn’t hiccup once. No lag, no stutter, no random disconnects. The extra ports are super handy too. I plugged in my keyboard, mouse, a card reader, and even a little USB fan (dont judge me) and everything worked fine. The Ethernet port is fast and stable, which is great because my WiFi gets weird sometimes. The dock basically turned my MacBook into a full desktop setup without me having to think about it.

Aluminum clad, just slightly warm
Using a M4 MacBook Air, this extender processes correctly the output as the correct resolution for the monitor as well as the screen for the Air. Going to set up a three monitor set up, but little dock is proving that its worth the money. Recommended for expansion.

Perfect for the MacBook
I have been waiting for some time to have four displays connected to my MacBook and finally this inexpensive adapter from WAVLINK allows me to do just that and at high resolution as well. The adapter is very compact and complements the overall look of clean lines on my desk without looking like a brick handling the connections to all the monitors. Once connected, everything works perfectly and the image quality is excellent. I highly recommend this adapter if you are looking to get four monitors connected to your MacBook.

USB-C docking station that supports up to four HDMI monitors at 4K resolution
Most laptops made today come with only one or two high speed USB-C ports, making it nearly impossible to connect more than one display, especially if you also want to charge the laptop at the same time. This “docking station” uses a single USB-C ports and allows you to connect up to four HDMI devices at 4K resolution.
It also allows you to connect a power adapter to it, passing the power through to the laptop. It’s important to note that only one of the four HDMI ports supports 144 Hz—the rest are 60 Hz—so gamers might need to pay attention to make sure they plug their “action” monitor to the 144 Hz port.
I used this with a 2020 MacBook Air (M1) and it worked perfectly. This is also supposed to work with Windows PCs but I did not test it. It it’s important to note that it is not “plug-and-play”—you must install a driver prior to using it. This took only a couple minutes on the Mac; you do have to go into system settings to enable the driver to use a couple of system properties, which can be a bit confusing as the instructions aren’t all that clear.
While this is a relatively expensive docking station, if you need to connect a lot of monitors at high resolution, this will definitely fit the bill!

Might just work, if you get past the driver problems
The WAVLINK quad monitor adapter is a very well-made, all metal unit. It comes with an attached USB-C cable used to connect to your laptop/computer (albeit a very short one). It also required a power supply via a USB-C port. Neither the additional cable, or power supply is included. I suppose, if your machine has the correct PD (thunderbolt) USB-C port.
I’m using Windows 11, and my bad, I didn’t pay attention to the MAC specific requirements. After some research, I found that it will, with some effort, and downloaded windows drivers, work with my windows 11 laptop.
However, as others have pointed out, the downloaded drivers are immediately flagged for containing dangerous malware, or a virus. I really wanted to try this adapter, because it would definitely come in handy with my multi computer/laptop system. But, it’s not worth gambling with the insertion of an unknown virus, or malware.
Overall, I’d say it would probably be an excellent device, and well worth the money, if only you can get past the driver issue. I really can’t recommend this adapter.
