It's was missing parts and scuffed in multiple places and was not in it's original box. It also doesn't work correctly, light is green and everything is setup correctly but doesn't do what it's suppose to."Used - Like New or Open Box: An item in like new condition, without any scratches or scruffs and in perfect working condition. The original protective wrapping may be missing, but the original packaging is intact and in good condition with minor damage possible. The item should be free of any defects and in perfect working order, just as it would be had you purchased a brand new item, just the package is no longer sealed. Instructions are included."

It works in the woods...

We're building a barndominium in north central Florida. Besides having a weak signal outside (1 bar) to begin with getting a usable signal inside the metal building was impossible. Researched and bought the whole home Weboost system and got it installed yesterday. We are completely satisfied with the results as have close to 5 bars inside the building whole now. Not sure if it will be as good once the walls are up. But so strong at the moment we have some loss room and would still have a very usable signal. Note: I ran the outside antenna cable down the bathroom vent pipe I mounted the antenna on, using a waterproof cable gland to keep and smells out of the house. Just an idea for those that might be building from scratch.

Thanks Weboost.

Huge improvement

Before we had to go outside on deck to take a cell call. Now we just have to sit within proximity of the Inside Antenna. Set up is not as complicated as some make it, just aim the Outside Antenna in the direction you think the nearest cell tower is and test it out by making calls. I temporarily mounted it on a pole so I could rotate it a few degrees at a time until my cell phone worked best. Then I permanently mounted it pointing in the same direction.

Outstanding

The reception at our Montana home had gotten progressively worse over the last few years. Our location seemed to have us just out of reach of the cell towers. Calls to our phones would sometimes not even ring, and conversations were constantly breaking up, and unintelligible. Installation was fairly easy and not too technical. We cannot believe the difference this has made. Took us from 1 Bar to 4-5 Bars consistently on our phones. 30+ Db gain in signal according to the Apps that measure it. Highly recommend!

Performed as listed! Worth the purchase!

I would occasionally get 1 or no bars. Despite using wifi calling, calls would still drop. Here, the process was pretty simple. You just have to pay attention to the cell tower finder and dial in the adjustments. The booster does get pretty hot but no smoke! My unit was certified refurbished as "at or exceeding the OEM" level.

It would be nice if weBoost included an adapter to connect the indoor antenna directly to the booster. Instead, I had to connect the end from the indoor antenna to the additional 15' RG6 and connect that to the INSIDE ANTENNA input which added excess cable in a small space.

The function and setup were worth doing it myself! There's a window pass through cable which can be seriously useful.

I almost opted for the Home Installed version which is $1,200. I got the non installed (just over $500 and opted for the refurbished which saved me $170!

If you're having real reception issues and you can pull at least 1 bar (most times), I find you will be pleased with this product. This is NOT. a paid or otherwise compensated review/opinion!

I went from barely getting 1 bar to now getting 2-5 bars throughout. I may have to adjust the indoor signal placement but where I used to get 1 bar in the living room, I'm sitting at a solid 3 bars!

I'll take it!

Don't wait anymore. It's 2024. There are solutions (mostly).

Received a returned unit

I opened the box and knew immediately it was a return from another customer. The box was taped up. I opened and all the packages had been opened. The through the window cable was damaged. Disappointed.

Didn’t Work as Advertised

The instructions were clear and straightforward. While the installation took a while because of the wiring, the overall process was not difficult. I saved up a long time to get enough money to purchase the WeBoost MultiRoom. So you can imagine my disappointment when I received a product others had obviously returned because it didn’t work as advertised. I had the same experience. I hope to save others from wasting time and money as I did. Consequently, I cannot recommend this product.

Working great for my difficult situation!

This is a really great product! (B07VG9ZZMV) My install location is tricky because the only tower that supports my carrier (T-Mobile MVNO) is 8.8 miles away across a hilly area. I had bought a different booster before this (B091CH2Y59), and I ended up returning it within the 30-day window because it couldn't boost the outdoor signal enough to be usable inside the house uless I was within 5 feet of the indoor antenna. I ended up adding a 15 foot mast on top of my garage peak and it was still not a strong enough signal. I used that same mast to mount the log period antenna for this system, and was able to get an adequate signal. The install was fairly easy, I did have to drill through a couple walls to get everything installed. The F-style connectors provided (think cable TV coax) made it very easy to hook up and only required 3/8 inch holes in the wall. Once everything was hooked up, I was getting very decent signal in my living room area, and the surrounding rooms as well. I'd say the signal is usable up to 20 feet away from the indoor antenna. But mostly that is because the outdoor signal from my roof is so very low. I can barely register any connection at all from my phone when standing on the roof. Now I am receiving SMS and phone calls pretty much everywhere in our living area. This product was more expensive than the first one by almost $300 ($601 vs. $297), but the performance of this product made the difference!

I was even able to add additional length to one of the cables with an extra piece of RG-6 cable and an F-type coupler in order to place the amplifier where I wanted it.

Surge protector

Just got the package. I unboxed the unit. Everything looks good except I don't have a surge protector. I ordered this unit and added the mounting bracket and surge protector. I got the bracket but not the surge. I don't know yet how well this unit works. I will install tomorrow and find out. Just installed this unit. Works great. Speed test was ran and results are very well. Anyone would want to see better but this definitely works. Also, I was only getting 2 bars at best. Now I'm getting all bars.

4G where it NEVER was

I installed this system in a mobile home in an area that you had NO signal indoors and had to go outside in the yard to make calls and get SIMPLE 4G capabilities. This thing is awesome, inside where you had NO signal before I am now getting 12 to 16 Mbps download speeds. I haven't even had to tweak the system. I think the key was making sure antennas and boosters were located correctly and then pointing the outside antenna in the correct direction. I wish I had done this years ago. Oh yeah, I am writing this review IN the mobile home I installed it in.

Only get reception where antenna is.

I bought this at the beginning of the year, it works but very limited. I got signal inside my home now when before I didn’t.

The only issue is that I only get good reception in the main room where the antenna is. I can’t get more than 10 feet of it or the reception dwindles down sometimes to zero.

I’m pretty handy and I have the main antenna which I bought an extra directional antenna at a very good distance from the inside antenna, I checked the bands all good there, I even bought thicker gauge coaxial for better ohms loss. The light is green so I don’t know what else to do.

So overall it works but reception in other rooms besides where the antenna resides is minimal. I would not recommend for the price. I had the cheaper one before I bought this one and I had the same coverage inside the house.

Great improvements - Before and After Details

Hi All,

First off, I paid full price for this item - I'm not a paid reviewer. I don't take the time to post detailed reviews often so I hope that some of you find this encouraging or helpful.

I'll mention that I use a Netgear NightHawk MR1100 on an AT&T data plan and we live on a valley floor that is relatively flat. I already had about two bars of signal on my Nighthawk Hotspot and received reasonable speeds. Our closest AT&T Tower is approximately 1.5 miles from us through a heavily wooded area. I installed the outdoor antenna approximately 15' from the ground using some 1.5" PVC and U-bolts. All I did was point the antenna in the general direction of the tower and plug it in.

Please judge my before and after pictures for yourself. I can tell there is a noticeable boost in signal and my Nighthawk reads full 5-bars now. My download speeds were not affected much (if at all) but it's possible that I already hit a ceiling or something for the tower I'm pulling signal from (not sure). That said, my upload speeds went up from an average of 5-10Mpbs to 20-30 Mbps. You can see my speedtest.net screenshot showing a single test where I unplugged the booster. There are three tests with consistently higher upload speeds.

Works extremely well!

Best 500 bucks I have ever spent. Just do your homework on installation and tower locations. My verizon went from 10mbps to over 75. At&t went from almost no signal to 3 bars. It is fairly low profile so easy to hide and doesn't junk up the house. Thing is awesome!

Research your area first

I just installed this for my friends that do not have any internet options on their street aside from LTE. This worked for them and I’ll explain why and what you need to do to make sure it will work for you.

Their home is in a rural area and they have a metal roof. Outside their house they could get 2-3 bars of service, inside 1 at best. Before installing the booster I did a speed test to see what was available at their house.

Download the Speedtest app to you phone to get this information: before installing the booster, Inside their home I could get 15mbps max download speed and 0.5 mbps max upload speed. Using apps like Zoom on their tablet or phone was basically impossible. I went up on their roof and found that in that location I could get between 60-90 mbps download and 8-10 upload. Much more acceptable. But the metal roof was blocking the signal from reaching into the house.

I installed the outdoor antenna at the highest point on the house at the tip of the roof on the south side of the house. I repurposed an old satellite dish mount that was on the opposite side of the house. I mounted it as high on the roof as I could because there was a slight hill at the south end of their property and the nearest Verizon cell tower (in this area Verizon was the only signal available) was south of the house. I needed to get above that hill if possible to get better speed. I used cellmapper.net to find the location of the tower and then I marked that location on my maps app on my phone. Then as I was installing the antenna I put my phone next to it with maps pulled up to make sure I was pointing it directly towards the tower. Being at the highest point of the roof did indeed put me above the small hill on their property.

I installed the amplifier in the laundry room since it has a bright light on it. I wanted it to be in a room where the light wouldn’t bother anyone.

The inside antenna I installed in the middle of the house on the ceiling. That seemed to increase the coverage inside. The cables connecting everything together we just rain through the attic. It was a fairly simple and straightforward install once we made sure there was enough signal to boost, and that it was actually going to work in the locations we had chosen.

The end result? 3-4 bars of service with 50-60mbps download and 10-15mbps upload in most of the house. A success.

Something else to keep in mind: pay close attention to the install instructions. The outside antenna has to face away from the inside antenna or else they pick each other up and boost each other, which means you won’t get a speed boost. Being far away from the tower is better than close. If you are too close to the tower the booster overloads and doesn’t work. But if you have cell signal available outside your home this may very well fix your issues.

From No Service to 4 bars inside

I live away from town and towers. I was lucky to get one bar outside my home and need to have a landline phone as my phone says “no service” while inside. It was expensive and I was reluctant to purchase but, figured if it didn’t work I could always return it. This is a picture of my cell phone signal inside my home now. I get 3-4 bars and can now use my cellphone for pictures and texts without any hesitation and no dropped calls.

Great product no service to 3 bars

My cell service went to nothing on November 15. This booster has made it possible to keep our equipment. We have phone service again

Not perfect by any means. Good for rural areas

EDIT: As you can see the connector that crimps on to the antenna cable came off. That explained why i was getting suck wild speed changes. I had already bought a different antenna to maximize gain that ended up working better than the antenna that comes with this system. This system is not inexpensive and all connections should be durable which this is definitely not. Sent message to manufacturer about the issue and after 48 hours the replied and are sending a replacement. That's good on them at least.

Original:Fairly easy to set up. I researched the locations of my nearest cell tower before the system arrived. My nearest tower was less than 2 miles away but because of terrain I had a poor signal inside the house. I had a decent idea of where I should place the antenna. I used existing cable from the sat tv system to connect antenna to. In that respect this install was easy. My download speed before was about 2 mbps before installing system and in the 30s mbps after install. That's a great improvement. My biggest complaint is the range of the indoor antenna. I have a ranch style home so it's long. The indoor antenna covers a room easy enough but not even close what I would expect for the price.

Have a plan on how you want to install before hand.

We installed our WiBoost to help our cell signal at home which is in a rural area in SW WI. I search the internet for a cell tower locate. I choose the closest one that we had a clear view of because of trees. I used my compass phone app to determine the direction degree and pointed the WiBoost as best I could in that direction. We got a solid green light on the WiBoost indicator and enjoy full bar signal on our phones. Thank you.

-122dBm to -67dBm, 1 bar to 3-5 bars, NO DROPPED OR GARBLED CALLS

We live in a rural dead zone, in fact we can only use phones using Verizon towers. I didn't really care about all the dropped calls or answering and no sound because my husband and kids could text me but sometimes text didn't come in until I walked outside. And my parents live next to us. ALL calls were garbled unless I walked outside but at least I knew who was calling. When I had to move my home office into center room I could never even get a call or use any data. I had to go to another room or outside just to make a call. And most calls I needed to be at my computer! The room I have it set up in has 4 foot high cinder block surrounding it, this is why this area of my house is literally blocked.

We also always had to use our slow satellite wifi instead of our phone data.

When my parents had health issues, I was their lifeline. So I could either move my office back and get garbled sounding calls, at least I knew they called, or try a booster.

I was sooooo skeptical. I read if you didn't get decent coverage outside then it may not improve inside. That was a lot of money to gamble on, but my parents needed me.

So I went for it. I CANNOT BELIEVE THE DIFFERENCE AND QUALITY!!! I have had it about 2 months and not a single dropped or missed call. My phone doesn't even connect to wifi unless I go to the other side of the house. My text sends instantly, even photos and videos. Before it took an hour to send a photo.

They say to go by dBm, not bars. Perfect is -50dBm. I was -116 to -122dBm outside which is why I was skeptical that it would work for me. I was -122 to-124dBm inside my new office and -116 to -118dBm inside the rest of my house. Now with the booster I range from -67dBm to -86dBm. My daughters hotspot is even faster. It lifted so much stress off of me!

It only took about 15 minutes to connect, real easy. Aimed the outside antenna in the direction the dBm was at its lowest walking around our house. The instructions said to use an app to locate a tower but we got the best reading aiming it toward the best reading.

Photos were taken right before installation and after.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Buyer Beware, Warranty Useless

I am 16 days short of the 2 year warranty. The WeBoost (model Connect 4G 470103) performance has degraded over time; used to always get 4g now, over the last 6 months only 3g. The outside antenna was 5' off the top of a 20' metal building. So I raised it atop a 20' pole. Also noticed the WeBoost amplifier it too hot touch. Standing on the roof next to the antenna my phone sees 4G. But down in the living room it never sees more that 3g. Using Advanced Signal Status app on phone.

'Greg' from Wilson Electronics says either the cell phone tower changed, the trees are too high, or I don't know how to aim the antenna (same direction for 2 years). I live in a rural area with closest cell phone tower 3.5 miles away. My phone will get 4G at different parts of the property, even in the trees, but now not with WeBoost? My phone on the roof sees 4g (15' below yagi antenna) but not my living room?

I feel Greg is motivated to reject warranty claims. I'm not going to spend another $550 with Wilson Amplifiers.

I'm done.

Worked way better than I expected

So I purchased this for our house in the Phoenix area. We have plenty of coverage most of the places around us, but for whatever reason the signal in our house was not that great. Our phones would not get better than 1 bar and we would lose phone calls and our data was slower than I thought it should be (of course we are on wifi all the time). After talking with ATT over and over and over and over, it was obvious they were not going to do anything to help us out so I decided to give this a try. To be honest I was kind of hoping it would not work since it was $550 and I was not to excited about spending that kind of money on a device to make a cell phone work! But working from home I live on the phone and using WiFi calling never seemed to give the same overall quality, was delayed, etc.

Just to give you a quick idea of how I found the towers, since we are all iOS users, there was not a great app for it and you can't get a great signal meter on the iPhone anymore even with going into the test mode of the phone. This may not be the best way, but it sure worked good for me. I have seen many towers when I am out and about so I decided to drive to each tower that I have seen within a couple of miles of me, and mark them on a map if my signal on my phone was really good when close to it. Each tower I got to, I would turn airplane mode on and back off to make sure it got a fresh signal and if the signal was not that strong, I assumed it was not a tower for me.

After getting those marked on a map, I went home and opened up google maps and found the location of each tower, then i used the measure feature (right click on the tower to go to measure) and drew a straight line to the location on my house I was going to place the antenna. After doing this and being in Satellite view, it gave me a very good line of sight and direction to point the outside antenna.

I mounted the outside pole on the peak of the roof since that was where it was going to live, and then ran all the wires through doorways before I got crazy drilling holes, etc. Having the outside antenna mounted is important though so that you know it did not end up hanging down and pointed at the ground when you are inside checking signal. After getting things hooked up, I turned on the repeater, cycled airplane mode on my phone and BAM I instantly had full bars! You can see on the images that the signal increased and the speed test was a huge difference!

I decided to not even try the other towers since this one worked so well for us. I have not checked other providers yet as we all have ATT so I did not worry about it that much but I do have the ability to rotate the outside antenna pretty easy if I need to.

The inside piece looks like a doorbell or something so it's not that "ugly" and we have it facing out into the larger area of our home. Our home is about 2100 sq ft and it seems to have made a big difference no matter were we go as long as we are not behind the inside antenna. Even directly beside it and around 15' away we still get a very nice solid 3 bars and calls are perfectly clear.

The main reason I did not give it 5 stars is I would like to see a few things different for the price.

1. Would be nice if the amplifier had more than just lights on it. Seems like it would not be hard to put an LCD display that gives a bit more info rather than different color lights. I know they have commercial units that do this from Wilson, but for $550 I think it should.

2. I would also like the ability to put more inside antennas, maybe ceiling mounted ones in different rooms. Now to be fair, I have not asked Wilson about this yet, but I do not see anything on their website that states I could.

3. I wish there was a better way to search for and find your outside cell phone towers. I know this is not their fault, but maybe they could somehow work with a company and develop an app. I mean this is their primary business of celling cell phone repeaters.

4. I wish the price was not so high for the features we get.

Again as I had mentioned before I was shocked how well it did work. It has only been in for a day but so far it's been solid. Time will tell and if anything changes I will be sure to come back and update the review.

Wow big difference

I have purchased another product and it did not work as well as this one. I live in a 1970's model double wide with 1 bar to no service. In other words a metal box. With 4 bars of service outside but with the amp on this system I now have 4 bars inside my home. Before No service or dropped calls, After installing I now have perfect service just like I was outside making and receiving my calls. Have not dropped a single call. After getting the box delivered even the box had nothing on it. Only after opening the product was there a mention that there needed to be 50 feet. The other issue was they needed to be pointed away from each other. My Double wide home is 50 feel long. I placed my Antenna on the front facing North. I ran cable to the back under the home and installed it in the back. The repeater is facing the Antenna as the Antenna is pointing away from the repeater. I now have 4 steady bars of service in every room in my Mobile home. Just know you will most likely need more cable then they send you.

ANOTHER Successful Install - this Works great!

I’ll start by saying that 5 or 6 years ago I bought the prior version of this WeBoost MultiRoom. I installed it at my house, where I had very bad cell reception inside, but outside or at an upstairs window I got OK reception. I bought this version for the similar directional antenna, better gain, and the larger coverage area for inside my new home. Last year I moved, and the old WeBoost stayed at the old house. For the last 13 months I have struggled with dropped calls, poor data rates, loss of data connectivity. I needed to solve the same problems I had before, so I went with a brand that lasted me 4 years or more and did a wonderful job the whole time.

First, I did a dry run or ‘soft test’ by placing the antenna on the upstairs deck rail and running the cable through a doorway. Worked pretty well, in my kitchen I went from one bar 3G 1MBPS download to 2 bars 4G/LTE and 10MBPS download, which was as good or better than I expected. I installed the directional antenna outside under the eaves of my house, and used OpenSignal app to get a rough idea of which direction to point the antenna, routed the ouside cable under the eaves and used the included flat connector to come through a slider window. WORKED GREAT. Once inside I mounted the interior antenna on the slope of my interior roof, pointing down at about 45 degrees across the kitchen and living room.

Signal test after final placement was 16.2MBPS and phone shows 3 to 4 bars of LTE. Perfect - as good as I get in town on a good day.

Note: My install is NOT perfectly in line with the instruction book. The two antennas are at the same height, and I only have 20 feet between the outside antenna and the inside antenna, but they do face away from each other. The book calls for as much as 50’ separation, and encourages 20’ of vertical separation, but as far as I can tell I have no significant interference and the speed increase was 10X to 15X improvement. I even have LTE at the other end of the house, and 3 to 4 bars of 3G in the basement where I was lucky to show any connection at all before.

The multi-room unit with directional antenna was priced higher than I liked, and I will be watching it pretty closely for the next few weeks to make sure performance holds, but if it does as well as my last one... I will count it a success and well worth the extra money. I do not have a 5G signal in my area, and have an older IPhone 6S, so it may be a year or three before I use that feature, but its nice to know the new units will also work for 5G when it comes my way.

Did the job...

We live in the country and use cell signal for home internet. Had to replace and older ZBoost system that quit working. Tried a network specific Jacool system. Did not work at all. Ordered the WeBoost and had it up in about an hour. Instant improvement as soon as I plugged it in. 4G home router went from -107 to -60 signal strength. Cell phone signal is strong. WeBoost did the job.

Mr. Electric

WeBoost installed on an fiberglass extension pole works great!

Very easy to install and parts/cell booster appears to be well manufactured. I installed ours on a fiberglass extention pole used for painting house, plus added a wall surge protector. Here in Florida we have a lot of lightning so I thought this would work best plus gain some height and easy to rotate for better tower strength or bring the unit down to a working position. Cell and WiFi bars/strength working better with this cell booster. I usually only have 1 bar on my phone when I’m inside now I have 2 to 3 bars! Very pleased with purchase; were I live signal strength has always been a challenge. I will check back and update my review in a few months!

Works great when set up properly.

Works very well. We live in a valley and get poor reception. We get 2 bars of 4g outside and none inside, may a little 3g of we were lucky. We couldn't make calls or send text without it taking forever or breaking up. After installing we are getting reliable 4g through the house and are getting 20 to 30 mbps download speeds. Calls are perfect and texts send immediately. I used a 10 foot section of PVC to mount the antenna on the house to get a little higher away from the metal roof. I also had to adjust the direction of the antenna several times to get the best signal. Great item and would buy again if ever needed.

Could be a great product if the bracket to hold it was better

This would be a 5 star product if the plastic antenna cover and the mount that holds the antenna (red aluminum bracket) wasn’t so cheap. It couldn’t withstand the Santa Ana winds in So Cal broke on me twice. So if you live anywhere with winds exceeding 40 MPH and don’t want to mess with making a better bracket, I would pass on this, it will break. Overall once I made a new bracket it works as intended and boosted my signal to a consistent 3 or 4 bars from 1 bar.

Wow, what an improvement !

Installed this product using the app "open signal" to locate the tower I am receiving signal from. Went form 1 to 2 bars to 4 to 5 . Live in mountainous rural area and cell signals are hard to get and even though this unit is more expensive it handles all carriers and 2g, 3g, 4G LTE and the new 5G. Made by Wilson Electronics who are the go to guys for this type of equipment and simply set the standard for performance. Highly Recommend !

S. Dill

Works great and looks great!

We have no service on one end of our basement or sometimes 1x signal. We have good signal on the other end and great signal upstairs and outdoors. I tried on signal booster with a built in antenna but I struggled with oscillation errors. However, it would help our signal sometimes. With the WeBoost Multi-Room the setup and installation was similar as the HiBoost unit but the WeBoost hardware seemed to be top notch and it’s appearance was more desirable. After following directions and installing the amplifier and antennas and running the wire, I plugged up the unit and nearly right away solid green light and 4-5 bars of signal. Awesome product and worked great for our weak to no signal end of the basement. Way to go WeBoost!

Great Cell Phone Booster for Home or Office

I had installed a similar cell booster in my home to improve what was a weak signal with great results.

My father in law has a similar issue - he gets only one to two bars at best when trying to use his cell phone in his home.

This device is the smaller version of the one I installed in my house (I used the 7500 sq foot model), so I ordered this for him as a gift.

I just finished the installation and he is extremely pleased with the results!

The most difficult thing about the install was installing and routing the antenna on the outside of the house. He has an attached town home so we were limited to either the front or rear of the house. You really need to know the location of the closest carrier booster station - one way would be to use your cell phone outside - walk around the exterior of the house - you typically should see an increase of a bar or so on the side that is closer to the booster. Fortunately, this turned out to be the rear of his house where we had easy access. I installed the provided antenna on that side to maximize amplification. Wiring from the antenna to the booster in the house is easiest along the outside - I just ran it under a course of the siding and drilled a hole through to the inside where the rest of the device was going to be located. Again, fortunately he had a suitable "Man Cave" room that fit this purpose facing he rear of the house.

The provided instructions were relatively easy to follow and we had the system up and running in about an hour after the antenna installation.

WOW - what was "borderline" one to two bars of reception turned into three to four bars with no more dropped calls!

He was very pleased and now I have the option of using cell signals versus wifi when visiting.

Highly recommend this unit for home use!
