Bought one, came with a blown out battery I'm guessing from being shelved for a long time. I cleaned it and put fresh batteries. It won't show up in the app. It just vibrates for 2 seconds stop for 3 and go over again, indefinitely. Definitely, save up your money and skip it. Not recommended this was just hype.

After I added it to my app, the first thing I noticed was the battery was at 58%, straight out of the box. I looked in the manual under trouble shooting, but there were no instruction on how to change the battery.
What I found in the manual that was even more disturbing was it only had a product life of 5 years. That comes out to about $20 a year. I have a house full of battery operated devices, thermometers, keyboard, mice, cameras, remotes, body scale, etc. Many have passed the 5 year mark and still work.

It worked for 1 week and then stopped syncing with my iPhone. I went to Withings troubleshooting webpage and followed their instructions to dissociate there Thermo from my phone then do a factory reset. Tried to set up Thermo after the reset and it will not let me. As I included in the picture, after I get to set up, it automatically shows the X and shuts off. I have performed the entire process again and again. Still the same result. I have contacted Withings over a month ago and I cannot get anyone on the phone. Chat kicked me out and but someone followed up via email but all that happens is that I keep on reiterating my problem with the Thermo and was asked to do the same troubleshooting I did earlier. So I did it any way and it's still not working. I have sent detailed descriptions and photos. Now they want video. At the same time, I made an appointment through their website for support a month ago for today. And no one from their support team called me. I wrote back and tried calling but to no avail. I shouldn't have to wait 2 months to resolve this issue. I do not recommend this product because I do not trust this company to back their own product.

I bought this brand new and got an unlisted error when setting it up. The only option I had was to call the manufacturer and after 1 hour of hold time I got disconnected! Terrible seller

Went from 5 stars to 0 so fast... worked great for a while then all of a sudden like many other reviews are saying, BOTH of ours (yes we had two) all of a sudden factory reset themselves and now want to be resynched but won't connect to my app.. I tried deleting and redownloading the app and everything. Still nothing.. do not waste your money just get another digital one that doesn't require a freakin app... nobody needs to track their temperature history that bad lol

I bought the Withings Thermo several years ago, but boy has it been a godsend during the Covid-19 pandemic! It’s very easy to use, faster than my oral thermometer*, and it records each family member’s reading to their profile (if you direct it to) for trending purposes. This has been key several times when one family member was exposed to Covid-19 and had to get a temp check every day. Best of all, I don’t have to write the temp down anywhere. It’s stored in the app. (If I had to write it down somewhere it would have been long gone by day 2.) It even integrates with Apple Health if you want to tie in other health data. Finally, Withings provides a way to export your data out - which is also a key to me before I considered investing in them (I also bought the Withings scale)
I was already impressed with the Thermo before (enough to spend some time to write this review), but really got my money’s worth during the Covid-19 pandemic and can’t recommend it enough!
*my doc still recommends I using a traditional oral thermometer when close to a fever threshold for more accuracy, but the Thermo has been accurate about 90% of the time.

After setup and an initial temperature reading, the Thermo synced only once to the Withing app and Apple Health app. It stopped syncing to both apps but did record on the Withings Thermo website. After many attempts, I finally had to uninstall the Thermo app and reinstall it on my iOS device. It now seems to be syncing for a couple of days now.
The battery cover is ridiculously difficult to remove. The magnetic latch is so strong and the clearance between the notch and the case is so tight that you have to contort the Thermo case just to slip a very sharp knife between the notch and the case to open it. I placed a piece of tape with its end in the notch so that I could remove the cover in the future. Even a YouTube video or Thermo User guide was no help. If you have any dexterity issues, this will be a problem. A fingernail alone will not be enough to open the device's battery cover.

This seems like a cool gadget but at the end of the day it's inaccurate. As shown when I take my temp over and over and varies quite considering sitting motionless in one position. It's also needlessly complicated in the way that it needs you assign measurements to a user even though there's only one user. No updates or improvements as far as I can tell during COVID, which is another strike. But is it cool? Yes it's cool if that's what you are after. I confess I was after cool and I shouldn't have bothered.

Incredibly easy to use and balances offline quick use with smart functionality as the situation requires.
I was really concerned reading some of the older reviews where they indicated it loses all usefulness if network/phone connectivity is lost.
I'm very glad to have found out that this is not a current issue now. While I originally had to set it up by being connected to my home wifi, I tested it in various situations and connectivity and indicating a specific person is not needed.
The system now will simply take a reading no matter the situation and once the reading is taken it stores it in the device. When the phone or internet WiFi access is later available the readings (both assigned or unassigned to a particular person) will be uploaded and if unassigned you'll then have the ability to assign them if desired.
Accuracy is as expected and generally within ~.5 when compared with an in ear digital thermometer. Please note the recommendations for readings must be considered given factors impacting skin surface temperature can and will affect the readings.
All in all, I love it and will use it for quick and easy checks where I can then follow up with other tools if needed.

Right out of the box, I loved it. Sleek design. Clear display. But I took my temperature 5 times in a row and got 5 wildly different readings. Returning it and requesting a refund

Temperature may be accurate. But it is not updating in the app. Even after setting up several times. It worked for 3 days. From then no readings are getting updates to the app.

Love how easy it is to use, the fact that it doesn't require a phone connection (Bluetooth) and that multiple users can take their temperature and select their profile for data upload directly on the device.
We have a Withings/Nokia Body Cardio scale, Aura sleep sensors/clock, and a BPM cuff. We like health data and love that all these devices connect to our Wi-Fi network and let us use the products without tying them to a phone or having to have some other device nearby. Each device takes data and uploads it to our profiles in the cloud. Once there, you can have that data populated into your iOS Health app or multiple others.
We have seen that the measurements can vary every time you capture them, but after reading the temperature ranges where you should be concerned -- the 'relatively' minor differences in data from one reading to another aren't enough to worry about for us. I posted the last few days of measurements and you can see, daily morning measurements are pretty stable and would certainly show a spike or other reason for concern.

It’s 1:00am and my 6 year old son is burning up. This thermometer had been working fine all afternoon helping me monitor his fever. But now, when it’s obviously high again, at the most crucial time - IT STOPPED WORKING!!! All I get is this stupid ad directing me to their website to buy stuff. No way of rebooting. On the app, it gets stuck trying to link up. This is crazy! I’m going nuts trying to get it to work!!! This is exactly what YOU DONT NEED DURING AN EMERGENCY! I’m furious right now! How can this thing not reboot?! Aaaahhhh!!!

We have only been using this for about a week now, but so far so good. It definitely has a premium look and feel to it, and as far as we can tell it is accurate and consistent. We have a box full of different digital thermometers and some of them are so wildly inconsistent we don't trust them. We usually take our kids' temp three times and take the average.
Once I had the app installed on my iPhone pairing and setup was a breeze. Just follow the step by step wizard.
My only minor complaint is that I couldn't figure out a way to get it working without installing the app. Correct me if I am wrong, but I wish there was a standalone mode where the app isn't required. It seems like I had to install it and pair my phone to actually activate the thermometer so that we could use it. I like the idea of the app tracking everything, but some people may just want to use it alone. Also, there should be an option where the app runs solely on your phone without account creation using your email.
I will post an update down the road, as I am sure we will get a lot of use out of this having a one-year-old and three-year-old. This will be a good test of the thermometer's durability since our kids inevitably grab them, put them in their mouths, and throw them. Game on Nokia Thermo.

I like all the products made by the former Withings company. This device is easy to use. It can record separate readings for the whole family with a couple of quick swipes. The reading is very bright and easy to read. The battery has lasted a couple of months, that is as long as I have had it. I keep mine in a bag with a string tie.Being made of plastic it tends to hold static and my cats hair jumps on to it. Would be cool if they made a custom case for this it and their other health products.
