Low quality and dangerous

Dangerous. Looks pretty in pictures and installed, but it’s terrible.

Rear camera continually shuts off every few minutes, even when parked and not moving. Tried different USB cables and power sources with no difference so likely something wrong with the rear camera. No issue with the rear camera disconnected. Customer support was difficult to get ahold of and could not resolve the issue.

Video delay lag. This is the dangerous part; everything that you see in the rear view camera is delayed from actual, maybe by a half second. That car changing lanes behind you has moved much more than you think, and that car you are backing up next to is much closer than you will know.

Would not recommend. Very poor value for the money.

Fell apart six months after install

Fell apart six months after install. The screen is held in the frame by three thin pieces of double-sided tape. For reasons that defy any sensible reason of engineering, the tape is set in recessed inlets in the back pane. This means that the tape does not have good contact with the back of the screen and air can get in, weakening the adhesive. The only other thing connecting the screen to the unit is two small ribbon cables.

While driving through a residential neighborhood (aka not a bumpy road), the screen simply fell off. It tore away from the smallest of the two ribbon cables, snapping the connector in two. It cannot be repaired.

The unit comes with a 12 month warranty. Unfortunately for me, I had waited too long to have the dashcam installed so I'm out the $300 for the unit plus the $150 that I paid to have it installed.

Beyond that, this was a major pain to use with constant technical problems. Despite purchasing the SD card recommended by the manufacturer, the unit would insist on formatting it almost every day. Sometimes multiple times a day. The unit would not connect to WiFi, so there was no chance to find out if there was a firmware update to address it. I was also unable to get any video off of the unit, defeating the whole point of buying it in the first place.

The reliability and stability of this product is garbage. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Good for specific situations, but has an annoying bug...

It's a good dashcam, but just OK as a rear view mirror. I would only suggest using it if you have an otherwise obstructed view when using a normal mirror.

The resolution is just ok, it's easy to see cars that are directly behind you, but it doesn't have enough resolution to clearly see things in the distance, whereas a with normal mirror you can clearly spot a car way behind you.

Also it doesn't _really_ work as a normal mirror when you shut it off due to two issues. One, the reflection is dark due to the black screen, so hard to see anything. Two, if you adjust the angle so you can use it as an old-fashioned mirror, then the angle is totally wrong for the front dashcam, there's not enough adjustment in the camera lens to compensate.

The screen size means it's also not a good backup camera replacement, it's either too small of an image or you can't see the whole image due to cropping.

The most annoying issue though is that every single time it turns on it resets to the front camera view and you have to manually switch it back. Doesn't matter how many times you set the default view in the settings, it always shows the front view by default.

I used the hardwire kit and the windshield mount, so the installation looks nice and clean and the unit is solidly mounted.

I plan to keep using it because overall it provides a better view when I have the camper shell on my truck compared to the original mirror. Without the shell though, I'd just rather use a normal mirror.

Love it!

My only complaint is that I can’t use my driver side visor if the sun is directly in front of me because (1) the dash camera is in the way and (2) the front camera would be obstructed if it was being used. Other than that it’s great!!

Protect your vehicle = Protect yourself

No regrets! Had it professionally installed, connects seamlessly. Automatically records and easy to find and ‘download and save’ to your files for proof in the event I need it. reliability. I do feel a bit safer. No issues with battery. Visibility is spot on and adjustable. No regrets!!!

Not worth it

It’s a cool product and fine during the daytime but when it’s dark outside you might as well forget seeing anything. The night vision sucks on it. Lights at night just look like big blobs and the video gets super grainy. Also it’s pretty glitchy. When you hit the button to switch the camera view, half the time it doesn’t even do anything. It just stays locked on whatever camera view it’s on. Also even with the g sensor on low, it thinks you are getting in a wreck every time you close a door. Even though the video quality is good, it’s nowhere near as good as a mirror. It’s very difficult if not impossible to see anything far off. Had I not gone to the trouble of hard wiring it and running the wires under all my trim and into the headliner I would probably return it and get a regular dash cam. Can’t say I’d honestly recommend replacing your mirror for this.

Great system but won't last forever

I love the camera for the time it worked. I could turn it off and just use the mirror which was nice, however I could never adjust the mirror where it needed to be because the front camera would hit the mirror mount. Not a big deal if you leave the camera on. Its June 2026, I bought this in Dec 2025. The last month or so it kept glitching. I ignored it and it went away. Yesterday, June 13th, the face of the mirror falls out of the mount. I'm thinking its so hot in Florida the glue just melted. Nope. No glue, and it wont snap back together. I can probably glue it, but thats hit ot miss in the heat. I'm at a loss and its out of warranty. Ive been thinking about going with the newer camera with additional camera for the front amd give this to my daughter. Not now. Not sure I'll buy another Wolfbox product.

When it works... plus no real customer support

When it works - it's great! Unfortunately it has semi-regular issues with rear camera connectivity. Especially when it rains. Mine is wrapped in tape and wire loom to ensure limited to no moisture gets in the plug yet it still trips out. It's currently not working and it's not raining (just the rear camera) I have contacted Wolfbox multiple times with no response over the course of the last year. I even reached out on Facebook and their response was to sign me up for emails...

Also night time driving it washes out. And LEDs flicker like emergency vehicles

Overheats and shuts off

I really enjoyed this for about a year until the screen came off of the housing. Also, be aware that this thing shuts off when it’s hot.

Fantastic camera and impressive customer service

This camera is fantastic. The video quality is excellent, it’s very user‑friendly, and I love how easily you can move the view with your finger. Recording and uploading speeds are fast, and overall the performance has been outstanding. I absolutely love it.

I’ve had this camera installed on my long‑cab Tacoma for over two years, using their extended cable routed all the way to the license plate, and I’ve been extremely pleased the entire time. I recently reached them out on a Sunday as the brackets that holds the camera collapsed and they not just replied within hours, I got replacement brackets on mail two days later.

I do want to point out one important thing for anyone considering this camera for a Rivian Gen 2. The camera will work, but it will block Rivian’s small camera located behind the rearview mirror. This prevents Autonomy+ (driver assistance features) from working properly.

I installed it on my Gen 2 Rivian and later had to schedule a Rivian service appointment because my self‑driving features weren’t working—only to discover that the Wolfbox camera was blocking Rivian’s camera. This is not Wolfbox’s fault, but it’s important information for Rivian owners to know.

You can still use the camera, but you may lose some major Rivian features if it obstructs their camera system.

rigo

It’s a cool ideal but a bit slow and glitchy. May or may not fit your mirror style.

Updating my rating.

Wolfbox reached out to me and fixed the issue. I got a replacement unit and it made all the difference. Wolfbox really cares about their customers and that means a lot. I really recommend this brand and their products.

Amazing wolfbox dashcam!!!

Best dash cam ever in my books worth every penny for sure great customer service and great amazing company overall this is the best to have for your vehicle without a doubt 💯

A must have!!!

I installed it on my 2024 Jeep Wrangler I used the hardwire kit. Video quality is amazing,

At night, this dash cam really shines thanks to enhanced low-light sensitivity and advanced noise reduction. Even on poorly lit streets or dark highways, the footage remains bright, with good contrast and minimal grain — a huge advantage for night-time security and evidence if you’re involved in a road incident. This makes the unit reliable in virtually all lighting conditions.

Seamlessly switch between front and rear views or view both at once. Built-in GPS logs your route and speed, and the G-sensor protects critical footage.

You can find the rear camera mount, that makes the install look stock. I attached a picture of the rear camera mount. I highly recommend this dash cam!!

Okay not great.

These seem to be great additions but they should include the hot wire tap with the unit and not make you buy it separately. Without this everytime you turn your vehicle off it will either lose memory resetting it or it will stay on all the time draining your battery. The kit is sold separately which comes with the hot, memory wire and ground needed to retain memory for all your settings. Also cameras get washed out after dark . Headlights from other vehicles render these completely useless which do not happen to factory units like gm's video rearviews. I have a few different models all wolfbox all with the same problems. My 2024 hummer ev has a digital rearview absolutely no issues.

Great camera quality, but limited parking recording

I honestly love almost everything about this camera. The video quality is impressive and exceeded my expectations. Overall, it’s an excellent product.

The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because of the parking recording limitations. I understand that continuous recording while the car is off can drain the battery, but I believe this should be left up to the customer to decide. I specifically bought this camera to record while my car is parked, and normal continuous recording is not possible.

You can use time-lapse or impact-activated recording, but there is no option for regular continuous recording when the vehicle is off.

If your main goal is to have your car recorded while parked, this is not the right product for you. This is something I wish I had known before purchasing.

Installation on 32 foot Motorhome

Excellent dashcam, I installed this to supplement the rear camera that came with our Entegra Esteem Motorhome 32 foot motorhome. Please make sure that you purchase the correct 50 foot extension cable. It will be specific for you Wolfbox model number. The other one has a different connector. Installing it was really easy and the quality is far superior to the camera that came with our motorhome. It is much more natural to have your rear camera mounted to the mirror since this is how you have been trained when driving your car. The ability to use the touchscreen on the display to move the camera angle up & down is perfect. I highly recommend this product. Customer service was also very responsive when I had to get the different cable.

Update: the dashcam was useful today in a near miss accident see the video

The most cost-effective driving upgrade I've ever made!

Easily the best upgrade I've made for my 2026 Chevy Trailblazer LT! This thing feels futuristic. I don't believe I've ever spent this little money for this big an upgrade to my driving experience.

The look with the OEM bracket is perfect, much better IMO than strapping it to the existing mirror, and it fit my car perfectly. The feel is sturdy and it looks like it belongs in the vehicle.

I had a little anxiety about installing this (especially the rear camera) as I couldn't find much specific information about my car. But thankfully, the install went great and only took me about 30 minutes. The GPS sensor and power cable are super simple to tuck behind the front headliner and bring down the posts. My car doesn't have airbags in the front posts so there was no worry there. The power cable tucked neatly under the weather strip and was a breeze to run behind the lower dash over to the power. (In future I will consider the fuse box kit for always-on recording).

The rear camera thankfully, turned out to be easy. My car has side curtain airbags that come down from the headliner, so it was a no-go to run cable there. But I found an easy path along the floor, tucked neatly under the trim (didn't need to remove any trim or even use the tool) up the rear door weather strip and a short run under the rear headliner (not in the path of airbags) to the back.

The rear camera I mounted inside, looking out the back window. If I find a sensible route to outside the car I may consider it, but for now I like the camera inside and the view is fine. Running its cable back into the car was a breeze- I just had to remove the lift gate's top trim piece (it pops right off easily) and run the cable to the lift gate wiring harness grommet. I was worried this would be hard to remove or run the cable through (in videos I've seen people use a snake to push wires through) but thankfully in my Trailblazer this grommet is so short I could simply push it together like an accordion and feed the camera wire right through with no issue. Highly recommend trying this rather than complicated snake methods if you have a short grommet.

And that was that! Install was straightforward and I'm extremely happy with the WolfBox G900 Pro!

The video it records is crystal clear, day or night. In most cases, I'm easily able to read license plates and make out critical details that would be important in an accident. I love that the GPS provides speed and direction information both on screen and embedded in the captures. This really has you covered!

Voice control is an amazing feature to have! I love that critical controls don't require taking my hands off the wheel, or unnecessary attention away from the road.

One thing that's taken me some adjustment: objects on screen appear farther than they are. I've been used to many years of driving only able to see a narrow, close-up view from the rearview. Now this wide-angle view that shows much more information at a glance takes some getting used to. This for me is a positive. After just a few days I'm used to it and vastly prefer it to a mirror.

A few quirks: I find even minor bumps cause the video to lock. Many times, I haven't even noticed whatever set it off, I just look over to see a lock on the screen. I have the settings on LOW. Maybe I'm mistaken in thinking this means the sensitivity is low? I may need to fiddle with the settings (Low, Med, High) but I'm hoping the overly-sensitive recording lock isn't a glitch. I'd rather not have 100's of USELESS locked videos taking up SD card space. But it does remind one to reformat the card now and then. Thankfully, you can set a reminder for this.

(I don't mean the onscreen adjustment). However, applying what I feel is reasonable force on mine- it does NOT budge. I certainly don't want to break it, but I've been confused- does it actually adjust? When setting up the screen in the perfect viewing position, my camera is just a little too low, capturing more of the car's interior dash than I need, and slightly not as high outside as I'd like. Being able to tilt the camera up just a smidge would be fantastic. I assume it works, and I've just been too cautious trying to move mine, not wanting to damage it. I can see this being nice and snug, so it won't even budge accidentally- but it seems a little too tight if indeed it is adjustable. UPDATE: Yes, it's adjustable. I really had to apply some force to get mine to move, but I got it adjusted perfectly.

Those are my only two "issues" so far and thankfully not anything major.

I love the 5G function to review and download videos to smartphone. I also love the WolfBox software for Mac and PC that play back front and rear video in tandem, with a Google Maps location view of the GPS data. The level of detail always being recorded in the car is astonishing!

This bit of gear provides real peace of mind. In any kind of road incident, you should have evidence of what actually happened. It's also superior IMO to a normal rear view mirror.

Exceptional customer service.

Very high quality. Best dash cam I’ve ever had. And what’s even better is the exceptional customer service. I did have an issue with the rear camera randomly losing connection and contacted support and they had a new camera sent out the next day. Very few value customer service. The service I received from Wolfbox has made me a lifetime customer. This will be the only brand of dash cam I’ll ever buy from this day forward.

Sometimes items can be defective caused from something during the manufacturing process or even during delivery but what matters is how well a company stands by their products and I have never had a company give me as great of service as Wolfbox has.

Thank you guys. You’re the best. ♥️♥️

Camara Discreta

Not as easy to install on all vehicles

So far it works good but the installation is a pain! I installed the camera on my 2024 F450 super duty dump truck and it only took 6 hrs in 2 sessions!! Rediculous! First off, if you are installing this on a car or SUV it will likely go ok. But not on a truck. First the cable is too short to reach, only needed 18 more inches so I had to buy another cable that was 33ft long. It worked but I have alot of extra wire to hide 🙄 installing the cable twice is BS if you ask me. Once all the wires were ran i had the challenge of actually attaching the rear camera. There are only 2 mounting options for the camera but nothing sturdy and all attached by adhesive pads. Won't work in dirt or mud environments for long I'm sure. I was able to improvise a bracket that is stronger and won't fall off (see picture) after it was secure i had the problem of the monitor being so heavey that it made the rear veiw mirror slowly fall to an angle that the screen was barely visible and the front camera was videoing clouds(see picture). So I had to glue the adjustment for the original mirror to accommodate the extra weight. After that was remedied everything works good, for now.

The system does work very nicely and there are plenty of settings for the system to be customized which is nice, that's the only reason they get 2 stars instead of 1. I only leave this review so everybody is aware that installation isn't always going to be easy and you should be ready to retrofit and possibly fabricate brackets and order a linger cable.

2025 Chevy Tahoe RST

My Chevy Tahoe RST does not come with digital rear mirror. The Wolfbox G900 pro is the perfect substitute, providing a digital rear view and recording dash cam. (I’ll attach screen shots) I’ve used the power adapter and connect from the OEM rear mirror, I’ve also used a dash cam bracket to mount the rear cam inside my trunk window. (Wolfbox rear cam bracket was not compatible for my install)

I do want to mention the cameras do captures a wide range view, but in the actual device view shows a “zoom in” view. (I’ll attach some photos). Also, Rear Cam has a clear view with a Limo window Tint %5.

overall I’m happy with Wolfbox Dash Cam G900 Pro.

A great add-on to my truck

I just did a quick unboxing and review of the product. I must say, it is definitely a great-quality dash cam for my Gen2 Raptor! Upon installation, I will do a complete review and ongoing testing of the unit!!

Update: I spent an hour today installing this unit in my truck after a few days figuring out where to mount the rearview camera. I mounted it below the third brake light, which was a perfect spot for several reasons. 1) I didn't have to drill a hole to wire the system, and 2) it was high enough to keep the cam lens clean from road debris. I will start testing the system over the next few weeks to give an honest opinion about this unit.

Amazing Quality

This dash cam is absolutely amazing. I could run through all the features, but that doesn't do you any good since you can just read them on the product page. I've included a video of the camera at night, as I think that best illustrates the terrific quality of the camera. The front when used by itself records at 5k quality. When using the front and back camera, it is 4k in the front and 2.5k in the back. Installation was a breeze, and is far less intrusive than you may think. I will note that I keep the camera on the inside of my back windshield, as it helps to protect from the elements. There are options galore, but one of my favorite features is using the mobile app. I was able to easily connect to the Wi-Fi signal from the camera, this makes things like downloading video incredibly easy. I observed that this camera is larger than other mirror style cameras, but I think that the extra screen real estate provides extra visibility to the rear. I also like the idea of the camera being in the back, which allows me to see into the blind spots of my car.

Overall, this is a terrific camera. Is it worth the full price of 300? I think that is a personal question of what you're willing to spend for features. Wolfbox offers some other great dash cams at lower prices, for me this one is fantastic for my needs.

Not for 2022+ Sonata (and possibly other Hyundai models)

This is my 3rd - and most expensive - dashcam that I've purchased/used. The 1st was ok for the price but didn't have the video quality I was looking for - you couldn't make out license plates at all. The 2nd took significantly shaper video, but was difficult to interact with/use due the small sixe of the display and it's tiny buttons.

The G900 Pro seemed to have everything I was looking for - sharp and high quality video capture, a larger screen to use/interact with, WiFi, GPS, voice commands, etc. I also appreciate the oem style bracket/arm kit they selI (which I also purchased.) The mirror/display is pretty slick and responsive.

There are 2 big negatives to the unit:

1: The mirror display exhibits strange/distracting reflections when trying to use the (powered off) display for a mirror. I've adjusted the mirror position repeatedly but the extra reflections remain.

2: The front camera is partially blocked by the technology trim/housing attached to the windshield. Just like the extra reflections, I tried adjusting mirror and then the camera itself with no appreciable improvement.

This plastic housing is on my wife's 2022 and my 2024 Sonata, and I've seen similar trim/housings on numerous newer vehicles.

I really hate to leave a negative review for what is (overall) a good product, but with part of my front view camera blocked I'll probably be returning it and getting something different.
