these things are great! been using Wuloo alarms for years and am so glad they came out with solar powered units. the battery powered rechargeable ones I have hold a charge for months but you always wonder when they'll go dead. these solar charged units take the worry away. have a couple 400 feet from the house and they pick up everything, including rabbits.

One lasted 6 months one lasted a year before the southern Arizona sun killed them. Purchased less than a year ago so I'm having to replace them already.

We bought this unit in late Aug 2024 and installed them soon after getting them. It is now late June 2025 and as the picture shows the solar panel is starting to crystalize over. Soon there will not be enough of the panel to charge the battery. I was hoping these would last longer in the Florida sun.

Product arrived as stated. It was easy to install. However, it beeps constantly with nobody there. And their instructions are not clear on how to set the sensitivity. I will update my rating once I figure out how to make it stop beeping all the time and only beep when someone’s there.

I have 4 of these driveway sensors and they work great. But, 2 of the bases on the sensors broke within 6 months. I contacted customer support to get a few new bases. It took a few emails back and forth but, they did send me 2 new sensors.

Extremely fast shipping. This is an awesome driveway alarm, with 2 sensors for my long driveway and 2 separate houses. Easy to set up. Charged super-fast and ready to go. Love the different chimes to tell which one is activated. Base is an easy design to use and flashing which number along with the different tone to where the "visitor" is.

This product quit working not even 6 weeks after ordering - just out of the return window. The main base in the house just flashes and no longer senses motion.

I have the kit that came with two sensors and my only regret is not buying the kit with four sensors! I live in a rural area and these work perfect for letting me know when someone is on coming up my drive and when someone is on my 2nd story deck walking towards my door. I will likely end up buying two more sensors for the back side of the house. As to the sensitivity, they are easy to open and adjust the sensitivity. The sensors I received were set to HIGH sensitivity and would pick up things like leaves falling from the trees. As you can imagine, that gets annoying with the base station going off with false positives. With that said, I would suggest opening the sensors (4 screws on the back) and adjusting the slider to the medium sensitivity setting. It is easy and will save you the false alarms. Best of luck!

So out of the box it seems to be working great. Only time will tell. But it does pick up on EVERYTHING that moves. Like all PIR sensors you need to mess with the alignment to reduce false alarms.

I recently purchased this driveway alarm system after searching for a solution to expand my existing setup and overall I’m very impressed.
I own two different brands of driveway alarms, but both suffer from inadequate sensor battery life and the overall range is inconsistent. My use case us two fold:
1. I needed real-world range of 1000’ (305 m) to get consistent alerts from the end of my driveway. My house also has a metal roof which impedes radio signal.
2. I needed 6 total sensors – It’s being used not just for the driveway but also to ensure my dogs don’t run off.
With this system, I can finally expand my system to accommodate 6-8 sensors, and it is delivering consistent alerts even with the metal roof and one sensor being 1000’ (305 m) away.
Another standout feature of this system is its ease of setup. The receiver has numbers 1-8 around the perimeter of the case which light up when there is an alert event. I use this feature as a 360 degree view of my property and created a map that corresponds to the numbers. When one of my dogs triggers an event, my kids can reference the map to know exactly where the dog is. The 36 customizable tones, allowed us to have fun choosing a memorable tone for each zone.
The battery life of the system is also impressive, with the solar version lasting up to 2 years on a single charge. With the other two systems I have, it’s a pain to replace batteries.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. It has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance, reliability, and convenience – It definitely comes out on top when compared to the other units I have. The only room for improvement I see is that the blue LED on the receiver is a bit too bright and comes across as a little fuzzy at night. It’s not a big deal though.
If you're in the market for a reliable and customizable driveway alarm system, I highly recommend this system.
***Nerd Stuff*** On the technical side of things, I used the rf spectrum scope on my Icom 705 radio and see these Wuloo transmitters operating around 430 mhz. This is a good band (UHF) for propagation through buildings. I think this is part of the reason the range is a bit more consistent. I also opened up the case of the receiver to check out the antenna. It’s about as good of a design as you can fit in such a nice compact setup.

After swearing by Chamberlain products for years, I bought this console and two transmitters as a set in Sept/Oct 2022. One transmitter has died in that time apparently, as it no longer senses motion despite charging, re-charging, re-pairing, etc. I have written Wuloo and described the situation. I will update this review following their response to my contact.
***The company responded to our email apologizing for the inconvenience and committed to sending a new transmitter. This is so refreshing that: 1) They responded (so few do), 2) They made it right without making us jump through hoops.
***Updating my star rating because the company reps have been so responsive with complete follow-thru. Simply unmatched customer service!

This is a follow up review after using 8 of the solar powered sensors for almost 2 years now, and I am STILL HIGHLY RECOMMENDING THESE. I’m very pleased with their performance, simplicity and bang for the buck. My goal was something simple that would monitor the complete perimeter of my house without depending on the grid, cell service, or electricity and these met that goal 100%. THIS IS WHEN YOU NEED A WORKING MONITOR MOST.
Here’s the main pro’s and con’s of my experience over a 2 year period that might help in your decision of whether these are right for you. I live Dallas so the temps here vary from 10 to 110 degrees.
I did have one problem with a monitoring station which Wuloo responded to immediately and sent a replacement. A very good company to do business with.
Helpful hints…
- When installing the detectors I found it very helpful to put batteries in the monitoring station and take it with you while installing the detectors. That way you can instantly test the range, angle, etc by listening to the monitor. The monitoring station will store your setting even when the batteries are removed.
- When planning where to mount the detectors keep in mind that the actual detector lens can NOT be exposed to direct sunlight (FACING EAST OR WEST). Also if it is pointing towards an object within 6 ft that can heat up in sun light it can cause false alarms as the detector senses a change in the object’s temperature. (metal, brick, etc) See video
- If you are going to purchase more than 2 detectors I would suggest looking at purchasing 2 or more kits with 2 detectors each plus a monitoring station versus 1 monitoring station with 3 or more detectors. Depending on sale prices it might only costs a few bucks more and you may be surprised how handy having an extra monitoring station or two is.
PRO’s
1- Extremely easy to set up
2- Several of my monitors are in the direct Texas sun for most of the day and have held up well (rain too) see photo
3- The solar batteries have stayed charged for 2 years in some of my locations that never receive any direct sunlight (photo)
4- Can use multiple monitoring stations to provide alerts in multiple locations, ie 1st & 2nd floor, garage, back patio, etc (I’m using 3)
5- Monitoring stations can run for about 1 ½ weeks on 3 AA batteries if the power is out. It will NOT charge the AA batteries when plugged in.
6- Volume can be turned up to hear in multiple rooms if desired
7- Station monitor has 36 different tunes that can be assigned to the individual detectors & visually shows alerts 1-8 as well (see con’s)
8- The sensitivity on the detectors has 3 different setting, most of mine are on the lowest setting to cut down on ‘false’ alarms
CON’s
1- The swivel mount only allow for about a 30 degree angle of tilt (up,down, left, right) which works ok for most mounting positions. But when mounting up higher like on my second story I’ve purchased some fairly cheap swivel camera mounts which then give me a 180 degrees of swivel so I could point them almost straight down. It may require drilling 2 small holes in the detectors plastic mounting plate (see photo)
2- The solar panel on the detectors that are always in the FULL sun do show a bit of ‘wear’ on the edges but I don’t think it degrades the performance and keep in mind we’re talking about months of 100+ degrees. (see photo)
3- You can set each detector to play it’s own tune but if you have more than 3 detection zones it can take a while for you to instantly associate a tune with a station. I have suggested that they add an option to be able to record your own message (front door, driveway, etc) or at least add voice messages like detector 1,2,3 etc to their memory. THIS HAS BEEN CORRECTED IN THEIR NEW UPGRADED VERSION MTY0102.
4- When the detector is activated by motion the lens lights up. This can be seen as a deterrent, but in my case I would rather the detector not be seen at night, especially if mounted within reach of someone. Minor point for most users. THIS HAS ALSO BEEN FIXED IN THE UPGRADED VERSION MTY0102.
For the price and simplicity these are 5 star products.

It started working as soon as I plugged in the receiver. It seems great for large property, I took the sensor about 300 feet away outside and the receiver was going off inside the house. Works great at night. Just what I was looking for!!

I like the different sounds that you can get out of the monitor, every thing seems to be working out nice.

This is a long-term follow up review of the Wuloo Solar Driveway Alarm/Alert system, installed in December 2019. I needed a way to know when cars pulled into one of our driveways, so I looked at numerous driveway announcers and similar type alerting devices. I have five acres with two driveways at opposite ends of the property along a rural roadway.
I picked a Wuloo wireless system with a stated 1800ft range, solar rechargeable battery with two sensors and a base unit. The base unit can support up to eight sensors total. My selection criteria as follows: 2 driveways with a minimum of 500 foot range, must be weather proof, operate wirelessly, powered by battery with solar charging with a minimum of installation difficulty, and cost under $100 dollars. Being unobtrusive would be nice, but I was not concerned with hiding it. We live in a very rural area. The Wuloo system met my requirements.
Well, it's been installed and working for 3 1/2 years and has worked extremely well. The sensors are extremely sensitive and will alert flawlessly to cars, bicycles, pedestrians, etc. In fact I ended up turning the sensitivity down so as not to alert to squirrels, rabbits and other critters. Very nice feature being able to set the sensitivity. Proper placement was the most challenging because the solar panel needs sunlight AND a location which alerted to actual entries into the driveways, while not alerting to passing vehicles. We also have many trees, everywhere. The current placement (see pics) provides enough sunlight even in winter that charging of the batteries has never been a problem. Experience has shown that a few false alerts do happen - such as when spiders build a web in front of a sensor (aargh!), which is easily solved by occasional cleaning. I also clean the solar panels a couple of times each year. In the fall of the year masses of falling leaves may occasionally trigger and alert, and very heavy vehicles passing on the 1 lane road can actually shake the ground and trigger a false alert. Overall I am very satisfied with the performance and durability of the Wuloo driveway alert system. It's very inexpensive and easy to install.
Next, what don't I like and what could be improved:
- You must completely unmount a sensor to adjust the sensitivity. It would be wonderful if this could be done by opening a sealed panel similar to the charge port.
- Rusting tilt and mounting screws: it's supplied with mild steel screws that deteriorate rapidly in the weather. I will be replacing the mounting screws using stainless steel.
- The Base Unit (indoors) resets the announcement volume to maximum if you have a minor power outage (minor annoyance)
- The Base Unit clock is 24 hour only and it really isn't needed at all. I'd prefer it didn't have a clock at all but instead had only a very small power on indicator only.
That's it. I added a few pictures of the system as installed. It works, does what it's designed to do and doesn't cost much. FYI - and the customer service people responded to my email questions in less than 24 hours.

I like the performance, you can change the fts and sensitivity so that's perfect by default it has in high so it was detecting all the cars movements so I changed to medium 2 and that worked
Anne
Works perfect in my driveway! Thank you!

I have cameras up front, but wanted an extra layer of alert if someone, or something decides to enter the main gated area. Turns out the sensor detects anything within a 90 degree angle based on the sensitivity (range) that is set. Since we have a road probably 15ft away from the main gate... Every time a vehicle would drive by it would set off the motion. The device requires removing 5 screws in order to adjust the sensitivity and even after two days of attempting to calibrate the sensor it just kept going off, even when there was no motion. It was starting to drive the household nuts. The effort to dig a 4X4 and installing this thing was a waste of time. Next time I'll just need to do better research.

We have a 10 acre farm with about 6 1/2 acres open. From the road and gate to the back of the property is over 1,000 square feet in some spots. I have tried several things to put at our gate that we could hear in our home. Because of the distance and the lack of wifi signal, nothing has worked so far. But this does! This motion detector arrived with easy instructions and already paired. I have one unit at my gate (1 in image) and one on a tree in our driveway (2 in image). If you follow the instructions and adjust according to your needs, these are perfect. Be sure to charge them fully when you get them. It was also easy to change the chime on the base unit. The programed chimes were too similar, so I needed greater distinction between the two units. It was easy, and there are a lot of options available.
LOVE this so much!

This is a reliable and does what it is supposed to do every time there is motion. We installed one in the stairs outside and another facing a kitchen window. I love solar powered devices and this is a great product.

I have a long driveway that is not visible from the house and I have long wanted to know if anyone is driving up said drive. I ordered and installed the Wuloo 2 sensor system and was incredibly surprised how easy it was to install. First off, the packaging is nice, the products were well packed and quite easy to identify. The sensors are already synced with the base station so there was no fuss with trying to get sensors paired. I did spend the night charging sensors so that they would be installed with a full battery. I love that they are solar charged beyond the first charge… they install with no wires and no hassle. The base station just plugs in the wall, set the clock and you are all set. My far sensor is about 100 feet away from my base station and the base is located deep in the middle of the house so lots of walls for that signal to travel through… it does it with ease. The instructions (although not needed) are clear and written in English, easy to follow diagrams and well thought out.

The first one I mounted on my mailbox thinking it would detect the Mail Delivery Truck,, but it was too sensitive, and picked up all the road traffic. And that was on the lowest sensitivity. I mover it to my long drive-way and actually installed twp, so I could tell if my dogs were coming or going.
Timinator
We live on 10 acres with some rather steep rolling hills. Many opportunities for the signal to be blocked or weakened. Neither has been the case.
I purchased 3 kits of dual sensors w/base. We have the bases throughout the house, all sensors assigned to each base and different tones for each sensor so we know by sound which one is going off. Our furthest sensor is at least 900+ feet away and over a very large hill completely out of sight. And it all works BEAUTIFULLY!!!
Love these.
I added solar motion lights to the poles as well. They all look and function perfectly.
