Table saw book in wunder keys cover
My book came with a few pages of musical instruction and then turns into a book about table saws. How this happens I have no idea. Poor quality control perhaps. Needless to say, I will be returning it.

I recommend this method book for 3 years old. It is colorful. The beginner child learns finger numbers through Wunderkey characters. Reinforcement in playing finger activities, games through duet and game at the end of lesson. Pace is just nice for a 30mins lesson.

Teaching older 2-5 year olds piano. I found the curriculum very good for older/bright 3 & y year olds. A little too young for most 5 year olds but there is the WunderKeys Primer series is just right for 5+ years. Older 2s & younger 3s generally don't pay attention to the stories which teach concepts. To be honest, this series wasn't made for 2 year olds however if you don't have anything else to fall back on, it will work. The finger puppets which you can buy online work very well with the program. They represent the finger names. The kids love them.

I have been using the Wunderkeys Piano for Preschoolers Books for 5 years and have been thrilled that there are books that appeal to this age group. The activities, duets, and games are age-appropriate and engaging which is so important for students of any age and skill set. In fact, I also use the Wunderkeys music books available for teens and all ages in between. The authors, the Dows, also have an online community to share tips and other resources and are always available to answer questions or receive feedback. It's been a joy to take part in this community of music educators and have great resources at hand to make a real difference in a child's life with the wonder of music-making. The Wunderkeys Piano for Preschoolers Books are a perfect start!

I have been teaching piano for almost five years, and am so thankful that I have finally found the perfect curriculum for my tiniest students. I used to believe that preschoolers wouldn't benefit from private piano lessons, that they should be placed in group experiential music classes with their parents and peers--until I found Wunderkeys. Andrea Dow has created a piano curriculum full of developmentally appropriate activities to allow the smallest of my students to experience music through rhythm, poems, and full body movement. She has brought characters to life that keep preschoolers engaged and excited. Additionally, Mrs. Dow provides a TON of support and extra resources (games, advertising material, advice) FOR FREE to people in the facebook community she has created. I recommend this curriculum for preschoolers, as well as ALL of Andrea and Trevor Dow's music to any piano teacher--especially those looking to keep their students excited about lessons and seeking to make life-long learners and musicians!

I was looking for a simple book to help teach my son who is 4 and is eager to learn. I flipped through the book in search anything that is piano related but given up. There's lots of cute drawings of animals and buses but I think that's it. Maybe this is better for toddlers and not preschoolers.

The new generation of WunderKeys books offers teachers a lot of activities to solidify the concepts being taught. The Wunderbies (I call them finger friends) endear all my piano students... Even my older students fall in love with the puppets and plushie WunderKey characters and look for them in the studio week after week. The authors graciously offer teachers several of the book's first lessons FREE on their website, so new students can try the program without any cost to make sure it is right for them. I was able to add 10 new students to my studio at once offering some free lessons using the WunderKey program. I would highly recommend using this book for beginning preschool piano students. It's imaginative and meets preschoolers at their level!
