IT works but there’s a few annoying issues
Does the camera work yes but there’s no way in the app to do any sort of adjustment you have to buy a separate angle attachment to get a different veiw. Also 2 seconds after putting the sticker and realizing the angle issue I tried to remove and readjust the sticker and it left an extremely difficult adhesive mess on the window

It could have better improvement
I’m a big fan of Wyze. I have 5 different types of their camera. The Wyze Cam OG, v4, Pan v3, Floodlight v2 and now this camera… the Wyze Window Cam. And the pictures tell everything. Obviously the other models are much more clear. Would I recommend this product? I feel like there’s a lot to improve compared to their other products.

Meh. Not awful. Not great. But for 20 bucks, I guess you get 20 bucks worth of camera. Daytime resolution is better than the nighttime resolution. Nighttime is just weak and grainy no matter the setting of Standard or HD. I did not pay for the cloud so can’t speak for the video recording. Free version takes photo only of any event.

Liked the First One Enough to Buy Three
I bought one of these as part of adding more security cameras around my house and ended up liking it enough that I now have three of them.
Installation is very simple. There is a Velcro-style adhesive mount that attaches to the window and the camera lines up with it. It has stayed in place without any problems for me. The power cord is also nice and long, which makes it much easier to find a nearby outlet without having to run an extension cord.
I don’t mind having a noticeable camera in the window, and the picture quality through the glass has been very good for my needs. I haven’t had problems with glare or reflections interfering with the view. I’ve included examples of both daytime and nighttime views so you can see what the cameras actually look like in use.
Having three of these now lets me cover different sides of the house without having to mount outdoor cameras or run power outside.
Overall, these have been simple, reliable cameras that do exactly what I wanted them to do. Buying three of them probably says more than anything else about how happy I’ve been with them.

Don't buy.
1. Internet out and the camera did not record anything despite having an SD card in it. Can't be trusted.
2. The adhesive on the velcro was extremely hard to get off the window. I attached a picture.
For these reasons I will not be purchasing Wyze cameras or continuing to use their service. I recommend you do not either as they are not reliable.

Watch your car while at home
Been a Waze customer since quarantine for my child’s room, this is my 2nd camera (window) camera and I love how clear and crisp the view is. Also, I can watch both live views for two different Waze cameras at once.

All 5 Cameras Failed the Same Firmware Update — Even the Replacement. Completely Unreliable.
I purchased FIVE Wyze Window Cameras, and while they technically function as basic cameras, every single one of them failed the exact same firmware update. This makes the product unreliable overall, because without successful firmware updates, the camera can’t receive fixes, improvements, or security patches — and eventually becomes unusable.
None of the cameras were shipped with current firmware. All five units arrived with outdated versions (1.3.0.12 or 1.3.0.29), and every attempt to update them failed. I tried every troubleshooting step available: multiple factory resets, reinstalling the app, switching Wi‑Fi bands, removing the microSD card, trying a mobile hotspot, and re‑adding the cameras repeatedly. Nothing worked.
Wyze Support walked me through the same steps repeatedly and eventually told me to return the cameras and try again with a replacement.
The replacement camera (camera #5) also arrived with outdated firmware (1.3.0.12) and failed to update to version 1.3.0.52, even after repeating all known troubleshooting methods. Support then emailed me a manual firmware update file to install via microSD card — and even the manual update failed. At that point, support admitted there was nothing else to try and recommended returning this one as well.
On top of the firmware issues, none of the cameras could connect through the mywyze.com/home web portal. The site showed all five cameras as available, but every attempt to view the live feed or footage resulted in connection failures. So even the basic web access feature didn’t work.
At this point, it’s clear the firmware update system for the Wyze Window Cam is broken. When five separate units — including a replacement — all ship with outdated firmware, all fail the same update, the manual firmware file fails, and the cameras can’t even connect through Wyze’s own web portal, that’s not user error or a bad batch. That’s a product that simply cannot update its own software or reliably connect, which means it cannot function long‑term.
Until Wyze resolves these firmware issues, I cannot recommend this camera to anyone.

Clear view with zero glare!
I used to have a Wyze Cam OG mounted on my window to monitor the front yard, but the nighttime reflection from the indoor lights made the footage barely usable. I switched to the Wyze Window Camera, and the difference is sooooo obvious! There is absolutely zero glass glare now, and the night view is incredibly clear. On top of that, the installation was super quick and easy. Highly recommended if you need to shoot through glass!

Not the camera if you have kids or something worth protecting!
Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. You can take some pretty good videos, but I’d say rather shaky on detection and notifications. I put bait one foot in front of it no bait and no detection . It was on 100% sensitivity setting. If I had a home with kids or something that needed protecting, I would not use this camera. It’ll take a really long time for live view if you’re wanting to see what’s out there now it’s too late. Also this subscription I would say deceptive. One camera $29 For the year, which is not bad, but if you want to add one more camera that’s going to cost you six times as much. This video was taken at night and there is a porch light and security light close by. It will take a pretty good video. Deleting events has to be done twice, which is a pain. I have to say the little red dot that’s there in your face every time you open it up on your account constantly there, trying to get you to subscribe to a ridiculous subscription is rather irritating.

Bad Night Vision don’t buy if night vision is needed!
The setup and camera is nice but its downfall is the awful image quality when the nigh vision IR goes on. My video becomes ghostly and blurry and can barely see. It’s might as well have just stuck Velcro to the front of the of cam and v3 cam. Night vision isn’t so bad on those I feel like I’ve been ripped off. I got them to keep an eye on my pets when I’m not home but can’t even see the cage at night cause the awful night vision

Love Wyze, don’t love this camera. Poor nighttime video
The video speaks for itself. 😕 I included a nighttime video that shows how laggy the video can look in the dark, even though it claims to have night vision. It doesn’t lag during the day, so it’s not a connection/internet issue. It wouldn’t let me upload more than one video to show the decent video quality during the daytime, so I just uploaded a screenshot to show that the video is pretty clear during the day.
The camera also completely misses motion a lot at night - I’ve been trying to keep an eye on one specific stray cat that lives near us, and the camera missed that cat/didn’t pick up nighttime motion multiple times over a couple weeks.
I’ve used Wyze for years now (basically since they started) and really like their cameras. We wanted to keep an eye on our side yard and it needed to be a window camera because of the glare, so once I saw that Wyze had one I decided I’d try that. The design is smart, the cord is pretty long, and it was easy to set up. But sadly I’m not a big fan of this window camera. 😕 I’ll keep it but wouldn’t buy it again.

clever way to address window reflections
A solid window camera that captures a clear image with minimal reflection distractions. Easy to set up and configure, with everything you need included in the box. Functionality seems to be on par with other Wyze cameras, which we have many of around the home.
Couple of drawbacks:
1. The way it mounts to the window means you basically only have a square-on angle. Not really adjustable to tilt it in any direction, which will limit where it can feasibly go.
2. Not USB-C at this point feels like a miss.

A good camera for the price
This is a really nice window camera for the price. I feel the picture quality is good, both night and day. Motion detection works well, and it has a good range. The app is easy to use, and setup is easy as well. The power cord provided is long, which makes it easier to plug in to an outlet.
One of my favorite features is that you can capture video stills from the camera (day and night examples included in this review).
I got this primarily to record deliveries when I’m not home, and I think it will work well for that. One thing that is a minus for me is that I can’t speak to the person at the door or hear them speak since the camera is indoors. I like that feature on my other outdoor camera system.
I do not have this camera affixed to my window as suggested, as the hook-and-loop stickers provided had two sides that were the same, and thus would not stick together. It’s okay, though, as I have it sitting in the window instead and it works fine that way.
Overall, I’m very impressed with the Wyze Window Camera, and would recommend it.

I received one of these for Christmas because my family knew that I was happy with my wyze cameras. That was true until 2025.
All the good reviews were for their previous cameras/software including mine. As of 2025, they disabled most of the viewing options without an expensive per camera/per month subscription for baseline function and additional charges to see longer videos. The baseline subscription will get you 11 seconds of video, but then the camera "resets" for 2 minutes and in that time you've lost any important information.
They also restrict the actual resolution so you don't get the full resolution without paying them a monthly fee per camera.
They hit you with high pressure sales tactics, and offers to start low then double or triple in price. I didn't notice at first because I had a subscription but then realized some of the features I had been paying for were now only available if I paid double for their upper tier subscription which is China cloud based.
You used to be able to see an 11 second video of a camera trigger by using an internal SD card, but now it's only a pic of the beginning of the trigger and no description and usually no image of what caused the trigger. You are able to see your internal SD recording but they have made it very difficult to find it.
Wyze was notified that there were flaws in their security - ie, easily hacked and sometimes you would be able to see your neighbors feed. It took them 3 years to admit the flaw and I'm not sure it's finally resolved.
They are also ad heavy selling you vacuums and scales and whatnots whenever you try to use their app.
Their tag line is that they've earned the trust of millions, and well I think they've destroyed any trust they had built. I'm replacing mine now.

Amazing color night vision without spotlight
This Wyze window mount camera is amazing. We already have other Wyze cameras but this is our first window mount. The picture/video it does in black or no lighted conditions is amazing. Because it is for window mounting it does not have a spotlight because it would cause a reflection making it blind to the outside.
I have attached pictures of pool area first with iPhone 14 and then with Wyze Window Camera. This only gives a little comparison because the whole area is almost black with the naked eye but much better with iPhone and even better than iPhone with the Wyze using no light!
It comes with two black Velcro like stickers for mounting (1 is extra) flat on the window. Once it’s stuck on the window it will not be easy to remove. The face of the camera itself is like Velcro and can easy stick to the window sticker or be removed.
There is no ability to angle the camera up/down or sideways but our mounting situation is fine for us. There are 3d printed options for that which use command strips to mount to window.
I highly recommend this amazing security camera.
