Networked heat and fire sensing alarm for an in-home battery
I purchased this base unit along with a XH02-M heat alarm. It was a response to the building inspector’s (Sonoma County CA) requirement for a networked alarm with a heat sensor at the garage house battery in case of a fire due to over heating. My battery was an LFP type so a fire was an unlikely event.
Installation and networking of the system was straightforward and easy to follow. The manuals were printed on very small booklets that were a bit difficult to read but adequate. Packaging was efficient.
A test triggering of the heat sensor itself did not set off the base unit (heat unit’s alarm worked). However, after seeing another reviewers video, I got a successful test with a hair drier. Both units went off with ear piercing alarms and notifications on the X-Sense app. I need find out if the inspector will require additional alarms in other parts of the house.
