Great for space saving setup
Easy to set up, sounds good for Zoom/Teams, and takes up almost no space. This isn’t BOOM BOOM sound, and you shouldn’t expect it for this price. It’s great for what it is.

decent speaker, great for the price
I was pretty surprised by this speaker. My expectations were pretty low, given the size of the speaker, but the sound is acceptable. Obviously with this size speaker you shouldn't expect great bass, but I am pleasantly surprised to say there is some okay bass! The mids and highs don't have a lot of separation, but the sound is overall pretty clear.
The speaker easily clips onto a laptop or monitor. I wish it could stand on its own though, for use with a gaming handheld but that's not something advertising anyway.
For the money, you can't go wrong picking this speaker up. Just don't expect a anything amazing! It functions just as advertised and is easy to set up. Compatible with both windows and Linux in my testing.

Nice quality, simple to use USB monitor speaker.
I purchased this usb-A computer speaker to use at a desk where I use a KVM / USB switch to connect multiple computers, a raspberry pi and a thunderbolt dock to a single mouse / keyboard / monitor. I wanted a USB speaker specifically so that it would automatically change inputs with the KVM and this seems to work well for that.
This speaker is very simple. It has a volume knob on the front, a spring loaded clamp on the top (or bottom depending on your perspective) and a USB-a cable that provides both data and power. I clamped this onto the side of my monitor where the bezel was flat and wide enough for the clamp to grip it well, and plugged the USB-A cable into my KVM. Both my docked phone and my raspberry pi were able to recognize the speaker immediately and swapped to it for audio output. The speaker knob worked to adjust the system volume on the source device. On those two devices w/ the unpowered KVM, I will say volume output was acceptable but not great at max volume. I also plugged the speaker directly into a USB port on my regular desktop and max volume was much better, presumably due to more power available. This does seem like one downside that could be addressed if this speaker had a separate power jack so you could use an independent power supply.
The sound quality is good - it's very clear with decent bass response, given the size of the speaker. The soundstage is good as well and this works for both gaming and music, although it certainly won't replace a more expensive home theater system. This certainly sounds orders of magnitude better than the built in speakers on my Viewsonic monitor and better than most lower end TV built in speakers as well.

Mobile teacher speaker MVP award right here - loud, clear - compact and will plug in where I need it
Absolutely love this little soundbar.
As someone who moves around and needs reliable external audio for coursework, presentations, and general “please let the back row hear this,” this thing delivers. It’s loud, clear, and way more powerful than it looks.
The spring clamp is legit. Strong grip, non-slip, and actually stays where you clip it — top, bottom, side of a monitor, whatever works. It also stands solidly on a desk if you don’t want it mounted. No wobble, no sliding.
The volume knob? Chef’s kiss.
It’s a smooth rotary encoder, not some cheap clicky plastic wheel. Adjustments feel precise, and the fact that it syncs with system volume makes it super intuitive. No guessing games.
Sound quality is impressive for the size. Clear highs, solid mids, and surprisingly decent bass for a compact unit. You’re not shaking the building, but for classroom use, Zoom calls, videos, and casual media? Perfect.
The auto-channel-switching with the G-sensor is a cool touch too. Mount it upside down? Still keeps left/right correct. It’s one of those “you don’t think about it until it’s wrong” features — and here, it’s just handled.
Huge bonus points for connectivity:
USB-C and old-school USB support. I’ve used it on my laptop, and yes — even plugged it into my phone. Works beautifully. That flexibility makes it super practical for anyone bouncing between devices.
Compatible across Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Linux — basically plug and go.
Bottom line:
Perfect for a mobile teacher or anyone who needs compact, reliable external audio. Loud, clear, versatile, and thoughtfully designed. This one’s staying in my travel setup.
Happily ever after

Impressive Sound Quality in a Compact Design
These speakers are really nice and deliver excellent sound quality for their size. The audio is clear and balanced with solid bass, making music, movies, and calls sound crisp and full. For a compact setup, the performance is impressive and honestly comparable to higher-end brands like Bose.
They seem especially well suited for laptops or smaller desk setups due to their size and design. They don’t take up much space and fit neatly under or in front of a monitor, making them perfect for a clean workspace.
Overall, they’re absolutely worth every penny. If you’re looking for powerful, high-quality sound in a sleek, space-saving package, these speakers are a great choice.

Budget USB-powered sound bar suitable for day-to-day usage
This XKX USB-powered sound bar / speaker is designed to clamp onto a computer display and provide a reasonable audio experience. This is especially useful for monitors that are attached to a laptop via a dock. Unless you have a premium display with its own speakers, it’s often awkward to use the laptop speakers for audio. Even high-end laptop speakers don’t sound great, especially if unbalanced by being placed to the left or right.
My laptop is usually placed to the right of my ultra-wide display, which I connect to for work and disconnect at end of day. The display does not have built-in speakers, leaving me using either earbuds during video calls or just having audio blasted specifically into my right ear via the laptop speakers. This sound bar solves the unbalanced audio annoyance at a reasonable price.
The speaker is approximately 9 inches in length and 2 inches wide. It has a clip on the back that attaches tightly to a flat-panel display’s bezel. Note that you will need a bit of bezel on the display for this to attach to — to avoid risk in damaging the display itself. A USB-A (with USB-C adapter) cable comes with the speaker, to plug it into either the laptop or the monitor itself. In front of the speaker is a convenient knob that controls the system volume if turned. This control knob works seamlessly with macOS and keyboard media keys with no additional required drivers. Aesthetically the speaker fits with black display quite well.
The speaker determines its audio channel automatically, so you can position it upside down at the top of a display and it will adjust its left/right channels.
Audio quality is… acceptable for certain purposes. To be clear, it is certainly not a top quality audio experience. As even the product title description admits, “decent bass” is about the most you can expect from this kind of device. The audio in general is acceptable, with no popping or electrical humming noises, and no discernible latency. However, unlike even built-in speakers on premium displays, you can definitely tell that the sound is originating from the bottom of the display (or wherever you chose to clamp the sound bar to). While it is not tinny per se, it is certainly not immersive. For work calls, listening to podcasts, or playing videos, the speaker is great. For truly immersive audio experiences for music, movies, or gaming, this is not really the speaker to choose.
One thing to note: the product description currently says maximum wattage of the speakers is 8 watts. Be sure the USB port being used is able to deliver that power.
Overall, this is an economically priced speaker compatible with macOS, and useful particularly for work and social media. It helps to provide a balanced audio output for monitors without built-in quality speakers. Obviously it is not a professional quality speaker or sound bar system, so adjust expectations accordingly.

Sounds like an $18 bluetooth speaker... without bluetooth
This product looks a lot nicer than it sounds. It's very sleek and it clips nicely onto a monitor, and the volume knob is very easy to find and use. That's about all I have to say positive about this speaker. The speaker is completely unsuitable for music. The sound is terribly distorted, bass is nonexistent, and it's not pleasant at all. It can get kind of loud if you max it out, but the sound quality is even worse at high volume levels. I suppose it's barely good enough for making voice calls and hearing system sounds. The USB worked on an iPad and PC, but you can't use this with any older equipment that uses an aux jack like a TV with bad speakers. You wouldn't want to anyway, because this sounds worse than the bad speakers on a TV with bad speakers. Very disappointed.

Though it's just a small USB speaker, the sound quality is anything but cheap. Vocals, in particular, come through exceptionally clear. Considering the price, it's exceeded my expectations.

Solid Sound and Great Value
I recently picked up a computer speaker for my desktop setup, and I’m really pleased with the decision. As someone who spends a lot of time in front of my computer—whether it's for work, gaming, or just listening to music—sound quality matters to me. Here’s my experience after using it for a couple of weeks:
Lightweight, long lasting, Easy setup, good sound quality, nice design and build, great value for your money.

This speaker is very easy to install and has great sound. In the attached video it’s only on 25 of 100. This is not Bluetooth and does have to be plugged in the usb port. I love it because it got the big speakers off my desk too and I can take this with me and use it on my lap top.

Really Plug-in and Play Like They Say
My speakers for my desktop computer don't seem to last long, and they're cumbersome. I bought this speaker soundbar for my husband's computer when the speakers stopped working. He watches a lot of YouTube videos, so he was missing having sound.
I wanted something that didn't have so many cables, and didn't take up so much space. I saw these for $17.98, plus they offered an $8 off coupon, so I couldn't pass them up. The arrived really fast, and all I did was plug the cable into a USB port, and they worked without any further set-up. I couldn't clip on to the bottom of the monitor, but it clipped on nicely to the side, and there is just the one thin USB cable. The quality of the sound is probably better than the old dome speakers.
I bought a new monitor for my desktop computer, and I bought this same speaker so I wouldn't have all the clutter from the other type of speaker. I am trying to learn a new language online, and the quality of the sound from this little speaker is great. I also paid around $10 for my speaker with a coupon offered by the seller.
We will see how long these last over time, but I couldn't be more pleased with them. The price today is $18.98, plus they offer a $3 coupon. I was lucky to get the price I did, but $16 is still a good price for how well this speaker works.

Must read my review!
“Lay down Sally” by Clapton was the first thing I played after the easy hook up,
the 2 lead guitars bouncing back & forth between the L/R channels.....
It’s very loud without breaking up at full volume. I’m sure
you can easily find many much better sounding products but they are expensive.
It’s very simply my best $15 spent for the past 10 years!

Good little speaker
The speaker clips on to most monitors. It opens to about 3 or 4 inches which is pretty good for current, more thin screens, but you may run into issues when you try to clip it to an older monitor. Now the sound of the speaker is as expected. It's small and is pretty robust in terms of overall sound. In my opinion, it sounds a little better than your average television speaker. It's a good enhancement to any laptop, especially if you're playing music or video games. The one point I do like is that it connects via USB. I have dual screens on most all my PCs and the ability to run two of these in stereo is really cool. So I'd definitely recommend it for a laptop because of its portability and for a desktop when you don't have space for larger speakers.

Compact
I’m using this speaker with Raspberry Pi. It’s very compact. Both the sound signal and the power go through a single USB 2.0 cable. The sound is not perfect, but good enough. The clamp is strong, and has rubber pads on both sides. It may not work for very thick monitors though, but anything less than ½ inch thick should work. Per the instruction manual, you can clamp this speaker either on the top or bottom side of a monitor, but note that the left/right channels will be flipped if you clamp it on the bottom.
