The bench arrived and already had a rip in one corner that looks almost exactly like one shown in another customer's review. That probably means there's a standard defect, design flaw, or manufacturing issue that hasn't been resolved.
I also don't know if this is the Yamaha BB1 that I ordered because everything has a different company's name on it and doesn't have "BB1" anywhere. I get that a lot of brands use other companies for manufacturing, but most at least use their own branding and model information on the packaging.
This should have been a cheaper price due to the above. At the end of the day it's a piano bench so it works, but if I knew I wasn't buying a "Yamaha" I would have just purchased a cheaper off-brand bench

Not quite as expected, but good
So, I recently purchased a Yamaha keyboard, and Yamaha stand to go with keyboard, next I buy this bench in the same fashion …input Yamaha keyboard model and see the recommended Yamaha bench. In this case a Yamaha BB1 piano bench. When I received it I almost started to return it as “Yamaha” name was not clearly evident or featured on box - see photo 1. It was only $79, but still I purchased what was supposed to be a genuine Yamaha product and that is what I expected. However, taking a second look on one side it did indicate it was distributed by Yamaha and the BB1 model number was observed above bar code - see photo 2. I would have expected that like the keyboard and the stand that it would have come in a Yamaha box with BB1 in several places on box printing itself, not just on end flap label. I don’t know, such is disappointing but then I decided to give it a go and frankly feel it’s quality, shipment, ease of assembly were in a word excellent. It’s a keeper - still sort of feels like I am in a bait and switch territory or something like it - at any rate I did give the positive 4 star review but did deduct the one star given this issue. It was sent to me through Samash.com which appears to be good ole fashion American music company although this product as per photo 2 is actually made in China.

Defective product upon arrival
The sides of the bench was slid open when I tried to assemble.
To be fair, the assembly was easy. The material used looked sturdy.

Have used it every day for a couple months and there are no issues and no loose legs. Installation literally takes about 30 seconds each leg.
