Excellent Audio Quality, Plug-and-Play, Sidetone Is a Great Feature

The audio quality on this headset is superb for the price point. The 35mm speakers deliver clear, full sound on calls and the noise-cancelling mic does a good job filtering out background noise. Triple connectivity (USB-A, USB-C, and 3.5mm) means it works with essentially any device right out of the box. One standout feature is the sidetone: there's a slight feed of your own voice back through the headset so you can hear yourself while talking. It's perfectly synced with no delay, so it feels natural rather than distracting. That's a detail that makes a real difference on long calls. The inline controls are intuitive and the ear cushions are comfortable for extended wear. A strong value for a work headset.

Perfect!!!!

I work from home and there are times other people are here and I don't want to bother them or - we might be talking about something more confidential. I also work from other places from time to time and the same things apply.

I am amazed at how much noise this headset cancels. I'm not sure how it's possible because they wouldn't seem like they do but they do. It's comfortable. Nobody has had any problems hearing me which is an improvement from just using my computer for sound. I have had zero connection problems and I actually prefer wired for that reason. The buttons are large-ish and intuitive and are very easy to navigate.

This headset has bounced around in my workbag a bit, zero damage.

I've tried quite a few headsets, this one is my favorite. It is also the most affordable, go figure!

Very nice of wired headphones for meetings!

So got these since I prefer wired these days and these do not disappoint. They are like other yealink headphones in terms of quality and comfort, very nice! The soft padding for the ears make it so it feelsl ike it just sits gently on your ears without giving it much force and the material makes it seems like it works like a noise cancelling headphone but not to the same degree. The mic is quality and blocks out surrounding noise so you don't end up broadcasting what is going on around you. The physical buttons on the headset are great and love that it has teams integration. Definitely get it if you want something wired.

Just the headphones I needed -- so versatile!!

Ah, the joy of wired headphones! How I missed you!!

These Yealink headphones don't look like much. At first glance, they look thin, weak, light-weight, and a whole lot like the cheap bulk ones you might find on a long-haul flight or in a classroom.

Then I tried them. I COULD PLUG THEM INTO MY PHONE! OHMIGOSH! It was SO SO SO wonderful not to have to figure out pairing or weird Bluetooth issues. I just plugged them into my iPhone and they WORKED. The sound quality is amazing, too! I immediately tested them out for a phone call, and everything came through crystal clear for both me and the person on the other end.

At this point, I was looking at them more closely: could they seriously replace my wired gaming headphones? These are SO light and surprisingly comfortable that it almost seemed like cheating. The USB-A adapter works beautifully, so these go effortlessly between my phone and my desktop and laptop.

Another great thing to note is that the microphone can live on either side: it swings all the way front and back, so if you need to have it on your right hand side rather than the left, it's an easy, on the fly swap (be careful with this if you're counting on surround sound for gaming, of course).

Overall, these little headphones are well worth the price -- all these superlatives are because they really are a game-changer for me!

These wired headphones are much better than I expected

I have dysphonia (my vocal cords don’t work well) and so a very weak voice. I do a lot of Zoom meetings, so in 2023 I purchased and installed a Blue Yeti microphone complete with a studio arm to hold it. The total cost was $128. Recently I bought a Yealink headphone for my wife, so I decided to try this one for myself. In each of my last several meetings, I’ve asked other participants to rate this Yealink (1308215 UH42 Dual UC USB-C/A) headset against the Blue Yeti. Everyone said they could not tell the difference. I do notice that after a couple of hours wearing the headphone, my ears were sweaty and tired.

PROS:

• Great sound through the earpieces,

• Great microphone pickup,

• Lightweight.

CONS:

• Microphone arm does not flex,

• Headphone covers hold body heat.

I tested the sound by listening to some classical music (the 'Brandenburg' Concerto no. 3 in G major BWV 1048 - Sato | Netherlands Bach Society). It did sound as if I was sitting in the concert hall. As I said, I tested the microphone on other Zoom participants. I tried to adjust the mic to be ½-inch from my mouth, as shown in the instructions but could not do that because the mic arm is not flexible. For the price, I think these headphones are great.

Easy plug in play

The Yealink UH42 SE is a wired headset with a mic that is perfect for work from home jobs. The headset has a 7ft cable that gives plenty of room to get comfortable in a chair. It is compatible with most platforms like Teams and Zoom but be sure to check which platform you use before ordering. I like the fact that there is noise-canceling technology to make calls and meetings clearer but overall, I really like how comfortable the headset is to wear. I wear mine for eight hours a day and unlike some brands, I don’t get the odd aches on my head from the pressure of keeping the headset in place all day long. Most importantly, this is a plug and play device, so there is no additional software to install. Simply plug the device in and it is ready to use for calls, meeting, gaming, or just listening to music. For me, I was up and running in about 10 seconds.

This is a really good headset at a really good price. My only complaint was the box was totally mangled. I was lucky that the headset still works as good as it does.

Solid Work Headset

I’m a heavy user of headsets for Zoom, VOIP, and other computer work, This Yealink Headset with mic has an excellent sound quality, the mic is very good, and it’s comfortable.

It’s plug and play so need installation required.

The other feature I like is that it can be used in both types of USBs.

It’s noice canceling and also works well in blocking out room noise well.

Very lightweight with impressive noise cancellation

I’ve been using this Yealink headset for my back-to-back meetings lately, and it’s been a great addition to my workspace. Honestly, the best part is just how incredibly lightweight they are. I've worn plenty of headsets that start to feel clunky or give me a heavy feeling on my head after an hour, but with these, you barely even notice they’re on. I'm usually pretty picky about on-ear styles because they tend to pinch, but these are soft enough that I haven’t dealt with any headset headaches at all.

The connectivity is another highlight for me. It has a USB-C plug but comes with a USB-A adapter and a 3.5mm jack right on the cord. It’s so much easier than hunting through a junk drawer for a dongle when I need to switch from my laptop to my tablet. Plus, the 7ft cable is a lifesaver, as I have enough slack to stand up and stretch or reach for things across my desk without feeling like I'm on a leash.

The mic quality is solid, too. My coworkers said my voice sounds very crisp, and the noise cancellation is impressive. It actually managed to filter out the sound of our dogs barking in the background, which is a great test for any headset. The in-line controls are easy to find by feel, which is helpful when you’re scrambling for the mute button.

Just a heads-up: it’s definitely tuned for voice. It’s perfect for Teams and Zoom, but it’s not really meant for high-fidelity music during breaks. Also, since it's a permanent cord, just be mindful if you have dogs that like to chew.

Super Comfortable Wired Headset with Clear Mic for Zoom Teams

I bought this wired headset because my old one was falling apart and the mic was picking up every tiny sound in the house. The above has completely revolutionized my time set up at my remote working location, I attend lots of Teams meetings and Zoom calls every day. There is a great noise cancelling microphone which sounds better it cuts out the background noise like traffic outside or the conversation between my roommate and me in the next room. Colleagues always say I sound crisp and clear during a busy process which makes me feel more professional on calls. In terms of comfort this headset is in the top tier. The over-the-ear cushions are velvety as well as breathable they don’t make me sweat and they will not do that for more than 6 hours or longer. It has been well padded, and the headband has good padding and is comfortable enough to fit comfortably on my head without feeling too tight or loose. I can wear glasses with no pressure points as it wasn’t feasible with my old headset. For lengthy conference calls I never forget I am wearing it much of the time that's how breathable and comfortable it is. The 7 foot cable provides me with so much freedom to walk anywhere I want , Its braided looking and feels durable because I see the wires no kinks or tangles after I’ve used it for months. Getting USB A, USB C and the 3.5mm options is great because I flip through using my work laptop, my personal desktop then my tablet depending on what I'm working on. The plug in is real quick no drivers required its simple and works seamlessly with Teams, Zoom and other apps. The in line controls is simply an added touch too the volume up, down, mute button, and the call answer, are all on the cable so I don't have to pick through my keyboard or mouse during a conversation. Muting is quick and efficient which takes away from stumbles when someone else starts talking. The sound from the speakers is equal voices come through without distortion and are loud enough.

Great for what they're for. they're for work, not audiophiles

This review is for the Yeolink UH42 SE Wired Headset.

When I first took these out of the box, I was a bit skeptical because of how light they felt in my hands. I initially worried that the lightweight build might translate to a flimsy product, especially since the audio quality for music is just average and lacks a punchy bass. However, I quickly realized that these are not designed for high-fidelity music listening but are specifically engineered for a professional environment. Once I started using them for back-to-back video calls and long meetings, that light weight became a massive benefit rather than a drawback.

The headset is comfortable enough to wear for several hours without the usual pressure or fatigue that heavier models cause. On the technical side, the microphone picks up my voice clearly, and the audio profile is tuned perfectly for speech, making it easy to understand colleagues even in busy digital environments. The integrated controls are intuitive and worked seamlessly with my Mac, allowing me to adjust volume or mute myself without having to fumble with on-screen settings.

Overall, these offer a solid, functional experience for anyone who spends a significant portion of their day in virtual meetings. While they won't replace your favorite pair of headphones for entertainment, they excel at their intended purpose of providing clear communication and all-day comfort. If you need a reliable, no-frills work tool that stays comfortable through a long shift, these are a very reasonable choice.

I will admit, they seem a bit pricey to me, but if they are in your budget and you're a zoom warrior, these might be right for you.

Good Sound and Clear Mic.

This headset works very well. The sound quality is good and clear, and the microphone also performs nicely during calls.

I’ve been using it for work, and people can hear me clearly without any issues. It’s comfortable to wear and easy to connect to the computer.

Overall, a solid headset for everyday use. Good sound, good mic, and very reliable.
