This external hard drive is perfect! This external hard drive works very well with pictures videos and storage. I have so far have had no problems with this hard drive! I think it is worth your money because of its quality and stability. It is also very portable and fits anywhere. I like that it has a usb and a usb-c for my computers and connects very well. It is a very good backup drive when my storage is full on my computer.

This little drive has been a lifesaver! I needed extra storage for my photos, work files and to free up space on my laptop, and this 500GB YOTUO drive does the job perfectly.
Design & Portability: It's super compact, lightweight and slim. Literally fits in my pocket or purse. The black matte finish is sleek and it feels well-built, not cheap plastic. It comes with the USB cable included which is great, plug and play.
Performance & Speed: I was surprised by how fast it is! I transferred over 100GB of photos and videos in a very short time. No lag, no noise. I've used it with my Windows laptop and also with my PS4 to store games and it works flawlessly on both. It was recognized immediately without needing to install anything.
Compatibility: Works straight out of the box. I use it for my PC, but also tested it on a Mac and it works after a quick format. Perfect for students, work, backing up your phone/laptop, or for gaming storage.
Value: For 500GB, the price is excellent. It's much more reliable than using cheap USB sticks for important backups. I feel safe knowing all my memories and documents are backed up here.
If you need affordable, portable, and fast extra storage, this is a great choice. Highly recommended! 5 stars.

Amazing quality, flexible and really good price.
Thanks to this I was able to restore a PC that I had
Before doing that I used to store songs and projects on it, pretty good product

If I could give it negative stars, I would. It doesn't work. Won't even format. Now I have to find a place to return it. Why these people don't test their products before they ship them out is beyond my understanding.

What ever you do don’t buy this product at all. Please spend the extra money. When it first arrived and I plugged it in and it made this click and knocking sound. I thought I just had a defective model. So they shipped me out a new one the next day. And guess what it did the same thing, nope stay far away!

've been using this YOTUO external hard drive for backing up photos, videos, and documents, and it has worked well so far. The setup was simple just plug it into the USB port and it was ready to use within seconds.
The drive is lightweight, compact, and easy to carry, making it convenient for travel or everyday use. The USB 3.0 connection provides decent transfer speeds for large files, and I haven't experienced any connection issues.
While it's not as fast as an SSD, it's a great value if you need extra storage at an affordable price. Overall, it's a reliable option for backups, file storage, and expanding your computer's storage capacity.

Fue lo que esperaba. Necesitaba ampliar espacio en mi laptop y esto fue lo que me resolvió. Llegó muy completo con su cable (pensé que quizás no lo traería pero si lo incluyó) y muy fácil de instalar y de usar.

Works great! I kept having to pay for Apple subscription iCloud space which is a total scam! Finally bit the bullet and ordered an external hard drive. This one gets the job done :)

Misleading but funny, 320GB model, western digital 5400RPM sata ii 3Gbps spec, bought to use as internal drive sometimes it's cheaper to rip out the guts of an external these days, if you have more money and aren't worried about a warranty perhaps going with a more name brand as in what you see is what you get would be the best bet... that being said drive works suspect refurbished as date code was scratched off... shrugs

Price per storage size...this is a really good deal. I have bought 5 or six of these drives now to deliver clients files on...I will buy again!

At first I wasn't to happy with this external hard drive because I purchased the 500gb white one and when I got it and plugged it in, I kept seeing 31gb , then my laptop somehow had corrupted files/bad system/corrupted hard drive from what I understood and I couldn't get past the blue screen until I reached out to friends and low and behold I got it and then asked about this hard drive well long story short for anyone purchasing this one, you have to REFORMAT IT to get the 500gb!! Like my IT friend said, any average person would have sent it back but not I. I knew there was a solution. For anyone needing the help, here is what I had to do, see my pics below to match the instructions to format it.
1.Right-click the blue WHITE BOX (E:) partition and select Delete Volume. (Confirm "Yes" when it warns you about data loss).
2. The entire row for Disk 1 should now be one solid black bar labeled Unallocated.
3. Right-click that black bar and select New Simple Volume.
4. Follow the prompts (Next, Next, Next) to format it.

Semi false advertising. Say it can store Xbox and ps5 games but the note that comes with the hard drive says it can’t play them from the hard drive. Which defeats the purpose of storing the games on there.

4 months later my backup device no longer works. I have tried trouble shooting and to no avail. From one day to the next it started making loud noises and all my data was lost! So much for a backup drive! I lost everything!

After updating to macOS Monterey, I was relieved to find that the YOTOU external drive worked seamlessly—no formatting hassles or complicated steps. It was truly plug-and-play: I simply connected the drive, and I was able to drag and drop files instantly.
The transfer speeds are fast and consistent, making it ideal for backing up important documents, photos, and videos. The sleek, compact design is a plus—it's easy to carry, and it doesn’t clutter up my workspace.
Overall, this is a high-value, dependable storage solution that does exactly what it promises. Whether you're a student, creative, or remote worker, this drive is definitely worth the investment. Highly recommend!
