This switch is lug and play for NVRs and could not be more simple for that purpose while providing device isolation.
I had purchased an older version 7 years ago, and sadly, due to constant heat stress in my poorly ventilated closet, it died last week. That said, this switch works so seamlessly for connecting PoE cameras that I felt compelled to stick with the brand as a replacement.
The new unit instantly connected all of my cameras to my NVR, as well as my NVR to the LAN, requiring no other intervention at all. I spend more time mounting it to the cabinet than anything else, which was again a simple half server rack dimension, so reusing the same cabinet mount holes made that easy.
I also appreciate that the case is steel, allowing me to magnetically mount a smaller secondary Netgear PoE switch directly to the top of it.

Item is trash!!
Not good at all. Was using it to power up cameras. Plugged it in.. ran for a minute then burnt up. Had only plugged in 9 cameras and then POP!! Unfortunately I couldn’t get around to testing it to now.. so I’m past the return date.

Great while it lasted
Put this in my new construction house and it worked great for the first two years and then all of a sudden it went out cold. Sadly had to replace with a much more trusted brand for longer life span.
Hoping it was just from the dust and stuff from working in the house and most of their products last longer than 2 years.

None of the ports have power
When I hooked the Yuanley switch up, I tried all poe ports to connect to one ptz OD10 Dragon Touch camera that has an option for either AC power or POE power. I couldn't get an orange light from any port, just the green light for data. I could be doing something wrong I suppose, but don't think so. It's pretty cut and dry. Plug in the switch, the unlink from the router, and then connect the cable to the poe port and the camera. The camera is outside and it's cold, but that shouldn't matter. I've heard of others having issues with poe ports not working but not where none of the are.

Replaced a separate Access Point and PoE with this single unit; lots of ports; looks good
I had a setup where I was using an access point and a PoE injector to bring network capability to a PoE camera. I got this to replace that because it eliminates both the injector and the AP, which I could use someplace if needed, and it has a bunch more ports for hooking up other cameras. It was extremely easy to set up, and it has worked without issue, thus far supplying both internet access and power to a couple of cameras. It’s not particularly bulky, and it has a bunch of ports, so this is a great addition to my networking set-up. Even if it didn’t have PoE injection built-in, it’d still be a great unit given the number of available ports.

Wonderful and simple device
I have been working on a project lately to get POE Cameras hooked up in my house, and I found this YuanLey device to be just what I needed to do this on the cheap.
It supports third party SFP modules for any fiber conversion you may need to do, and it also easily powers several devices while also supporting native VLAN tagging. The great part about it is you don't have to worry about it much, because if anything happens to it it's inexpensive enough to simply replace.

2 Gbps Uplinks + 8x1000 Gbps Ports POE RJ45 + 1 SFP Port Ethernet Switch 120W Internal Power Supply
I've been gradually upgrading my home wired Ethernet Network and my old and out of date plain 8 RJ45 Port Switch with a wall wart wasn't sufficient any more. This Ethernet switch has an internal power supply so no more wall wart which is nice. It also has Power Over Ethernet (POE) to provide power to my security wired cameras/devices with up to 30 Watts per Ports 1-8 with 1Gbps data speed per port. I can run 2 cables from my modem router to this switch on the Uplink Ports that can handle 2 Gbps each - sweet! It might not be fiber, but is faster than what I had at a great price. Picture 1 what I received which includes mounting brackets and screws; Picture 2 in use.
I plugged everything in, reset my modem, and everything works as it should. This gives me more speed, more ports, POE, no wall wart and is more modern. Plus it is less than I paid years ago for my original smaller and limited switch. Excellent! I have had no connection problems and am getting reliable data throughput using this switch.
I Recommend this YuanLey Brand 11 Port Gigabit PoE Switch, 8 PoE+ Port 1000Mbps, 2 Gigabit Uplink, 1 SFP Port, 120W 802.3af/at, Metal, Qos, Unmanaged Plug and Play AI Smart Detection Ethernet Switch. Excellent value for a full range POE modern Ethernet Switch.
I hope you’ve found the information and my review helpful.

Works Perfect, Great Value
To evaluate the YuanLey 11 Port Gigabit PoE Switch, I installed it into my camera test station to connect 4 different POE 4K cameras. Read on for my impressions.
The Good:
-- The YuanLey 11 Port Gigabit PoE Switch is a strongly built metal chassis with no fan so no noise at all.
Power is provided by a 115VAC cable with a standard 3 prong plug.
-- Totally plug and play, no user interface is required other than plug in the cables.
-- It's provided with ear mounts (which I really appreciate) for a rack or wall mount hanging recesses on its bottom.
-- The status lights and the cables are on the same side or the lights are next to the cable plug.
-- When powered up, all status lights turn on as an indication of a successful self-test.
-- When an Ethernet cable is attached, and there is an Ethernet connection negotiated, the status lights blink green for network activity.
-- I connected a POE camera needing 10W and also with a 1Gb interface. The camera powered up and operated perfectly over the network both to a PC and over an ONVIF Network Video recorder.
-- I also attached non-POE devices, including a laptop and all interfaces worked perfectly.
-- The connection from the YuanLey to another Dlink switch verified by the DLink activity light that the connection was at Gigabit. The Dlink shows a green light when 1Gb and yellow when 100Mb was green showing the switch was running at 1Gb.
-- I also inserted the YuanLey in front of my by Nvidia Shield streaming device and videos looked great so data was moving at fast speeds.
-- Excellent price: A survey of switches finds the cost for the Yuanley to be a great value, priced where most 5 port Gigabit switches are.
The Bad:
-- There is no status light color distinction between 1G or 100M, it's always green.
-- This is a major annoyance, the activity lights are below the cable so one cannot view the status lights without crouching or stooping to get a view below the cables.
-- There are no indicators for each port to show that power is being provided over POE. That's a handy feature to aid troubleshooting.

Simple easy to use POE
This is a great addition to IP security camera setup. Being able to both power the camera and receive the video feed over the same wire is amazing. The ports auto sense when it needs to apply power for the device connected. All the ports are Gigabit rated.

Low Cost Security Camera Ethernet Switch
I used the Yuanley switch to add more POE IP cameras to my home's security camera NVR (network video recorder). Installation was fast and easy. I like that it directly connects to mains AC using a power cord instead of a power brick wall wart.
I used the included L-Bracket mounts for an under shelf installation. See Photo.
Overall the switch is a good value. But I have two minor complaints:
1. The status LED's do not indicate if the port connections are 100Mbps or 1000Mbps. I prefer to know this useful detail, especially when troubleshooting. They could have used bi-color activity LEDs for this.
2. The two L-bracket mounting ears are made of very thin gauge metal and have huge "wall" mounting holes. I created some 3D printed adapters to accommodate a more practical sized screw. I also had to file the slots that attach the brackets to the case (original slot holes do not line up).
Pros: Low cost. Quiet (fanless). Metal construction. Mains powered (no wall wart).
Cons: Nothing major. See the text for a couple minor complaints.

Solid small POE Gig Switch
Nice value and it works as stated. Great for IP cameras or anything that needs POE.
Pros: Solid Build, Fast Gigabit Connection, simple and easy to implement, comes with mounting Hardware.
Cons: A little large for 5-port, but probably better at dissipating heat, Not one one the major networking brands but works well, could have better instructions.
Overall this small switch is great for powering a few POE devices for a great Value.

Sturdy, well built, ready to go in seconds!
This is a Gigabit Ethernet PoE - Not all PoE switches feature this - they are mainly 10/100. This has a built-in power supply that makes installation much easier, cleaner, and faster than units with an external power supply.
Definitely worth a look if you need something fast, cost-effective, and rugged for PoE needs such as security camera or Door entry systems.

If you are looking for a good cheap poe switch look right here.
IIve been using it to power 2 Cisco access points for about two weeks - 2600 and 1142.
Ive done all sortsa file transfer tests back n forth between different devices some on wireless and some hardwired up and download speed tests you name it. Consistently I received lower latency through an access plugged into the switch than I would through a Cisco poe injector. Speed reduction of 5-10mbps is to be expected thru the switch and multiple items running thru the one uplink cable.
It did not get hot. Its fanless and didn't make a sound. Did not test the extend function - what it does is isolate each port do devices can't see each other. I have no use for that
