Perfect for My Samsung S25!

I had my doubts when I ordered this mic, because I wasn’t sure my Samsung s25 Ultra (which I film all my YouTube vids with) would power it up. I was wrong.

Not only does it work, but it puts out great sound. Clarity, bass, richness. Just what I needed! And with all of the adapters, it’s compatible with iPhones and laptops as well. Couldn’t be easier to set up, too.

Note for Samsung users: Make sure you go into Pro Mode and ensure the USB is the source. Otherwise, your vid might default to the stock phone microphone!

For the price, this was perfect. Hopefully, it lasts!

Bad mic do not buy waste of money

I was so excited to receive this mic. It looks nice easy to set up. Within a week I had to buy a new cable for it because it wasn’t working. Then I noticed half the time it would stop working in my computer leaving me talking to myself. Definitely will not recommend to anyone. If I can give it a zero I would.

The best bang for your buck

This mic blew my mind, for the price it is exceptionally good. This was after purchasing one of those small finger sized mini mics (terrible). To be honest I’m glad the mini mic failed my quality test because I wouldn’t have came across this gem!

Really recommend if you want good quality microphone for a decent price

This zealsound microphone is the best sounding microphone I have ever bought! It is an excellent choice. I've loved it and the customer service is outstanding! Super easy to set up and the quality is great!

Amazing for the price!

This mic is extremely nice for how inexpensive it is! I got the set that comes with not only the desk mount, but also the tripod for the tabletop and I would definitely recommend that bundle 100%.

The mic quality is amazing, and definitely well worth the price that it’s listed for. It can plug into numerous devices which is extremely helpful! Very easy to use and the durability is great!

10/10 would recommend this microphone.

ZealSound stands behind their product & have excellent customer service!!!

UPDATED REVIEW: ZealSound saw my review and with wonderful customer service worked with me to ensure that I have a Microphone that works as it should. Showing they truly stand behind their product and for that I would highly recommend this purchase.

PAST REVIEW: Microphone was easy to connect and use right away. Tripod also works as expected. Metal arm extender is also fairly easy to screw on to a desk, etc. What is not easy is connecting the microphone basket to the actual arm. Now either my box was missing the connector to the attachment area of the arm or the makers of this product are some kind of schadenfredue. If you look at the pictures I've provided and regularly watched Sesame Street. You can tell that one of these things is not like the other, one of these things just doesn't belong. Because of this I had to do it another way to get the microphone to at least connect to the extender arm. However, it can not be moved around as it was suppose to be able to do. Which is really disappointing since I was pretty excited to have this system due to how it was described in the description of this item. Now I write this review to make other buyers aware because I highly doubt that anyone associated with this product will actually give a care to read this review. Or do/be helpful in anyway to assist in fixing it. SO BUYER BE AWARE you too might get the waste your Sunday microphone system as you attempt in finding a solution to something you shouldn't have to find a solution too, because it should have just come with the correct pieces in the first place. Allowing you the ability to actually use the product as shown!

Crystal clear quality

I am amazed but such a budget friendly Mic. The quality is really crystal clear, with noise canceling. The connectivity was plug & play, so no additional setup was needed. The length of the cord was sufficient length for me.

Amazing Value in One Bundle

I’m really impressed with this microphone! The sound quality is outstanding, voices come through crystal clear with minimal to no background noise. I especially love the noise-cancel feature, it blocks out distractions and makes my recordings sound professional. The customizable RGB lighting adds a fun touch to my setup to choose different color options. The mute button is quick to access being at the top, and instantly turns red so you’ll know it’s on. The fact that it comes with both a sturdy arm stand and a desktop stand is a big bonus, especially having the option to use the desktop stand on the go.

Best sound of all my mics! Love the arm!

Amazing sounds quality. Really nice to have the book arm to keep the mic off table tops and have more space. Smaller mic than previous versions but the quality seems way better. Love the rgb lighting.

ZealSound A68S Professional Recording Microphone Set

The ZealSound USB Microphone A68S came in a neatly packed box. The set included the USB MIcrophone, a tripod stand, a boom arm, a pop filter and an USB - A to C cable with adapters for android or iphone.

The Microphone can be mounted either on the tripod stand or on the boom arm which in turn can be attached to your desk. The Microphone also has a swivel mount which is makes it easy to position the microphone at the right angle. This makes it ideal for use during your podcasts or while recording your songs. The pop filter works well to filter out the plosives or popping sounds. The A68S can be connected to an android device or an iPhone/IPad or a Laptop with either Windows or a Mac. This makes it very versatile for use with any device that one may have

The Microphone per say has a port to connect your headphones, a USB-C interface and a volume control knob on the base. it also has a mute button which can be used to mute the microphone or to simply switch of the RGB lights. In a dark room, the RGB lights give a great look to the microphone.

I found the build quality of the Microphone to be good and I was quite impressed with the audio recording quality when I used it for recording my vocals through an app on my android mobile device.

This is my third ZealSound Microphone and I am very pleased with the overall performance of the Microphone. Given the price at which it is sold, it is great value for the money.

Nice package deal - Mic & stand

This lightweight mic came with a stand to mount on the desk that can swivel (or not) depending on your preference. The sound is clear. I use it on Teams calls. I like the mute “button” on top. It not a “clicky” button that will make a noise and disrupt the call when you press it. The mic will turn red when mute is pressed unless you have the LEDs turned off. Also, the noise cancellation function is nice to have.

Honest Review of the zealsound microphones

It’s an amazing product, I barley got to test this product for 20 minutes and my friends were already giving positive feedbacks on the sound quality of the microphone the build quality of the microphone is also greatly constructed for the gaming experience that I would like to achieve

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

UPDATE: I reached out to ZealSound's customer service and WOOOW were my expectations blown away! I was really only hoping to get the part replaced! However, they decided to send me a desktop KM8! They responded quickly, they were very thorough, and came to a resolution for me very quickly as well. I am so grateful & thankful. HIGHLY recommend ZealSound. I already was recommending them but when you can tell people about Great, above & beyond customer care then that makes a difference. Their products are the only things that are great but the company as a whole! Thanks ZealSound! 🩵

So this is my first ever Mic! I love this Mic & the pop screen it comes with! I love the colors, ease of use and the ability to change from using the mic on my phone to also using it on my computer. I also love that the headphone plug right into the mic itself. Now, down to WHY there are 3 stars instead 5.... Basically I am unable to use the stand. Which is a bummer for me because I just made some other purchases to be able to change and update my set up, as I use this mic for my ASMR channel. However, the inability to attach the mic to the stand alone base makes it halfway useless. The piece that I need to screw on to the base is glued to the screw on peace that attaches to the long arm. I've used tools to try to get it off and with no avail. Im so sad and disappointed.

Chill Champ

Fun all in 1 kit. True plug and play mic. Easy to set up.

This zeal sound USB type C gaming microphone comes with a USB connection and a USB C connection on a splitter. This also comes with a microphone boom that is a clamp style connection to the desk or a shelf. The microphone boom is a scissor style boom with springs and twist screw crimp points. This microphone is LED lit and has an array of RGB colors that it can switch them with a push of a button. This microphone also has a onboard volume adjustment and a 4 light meter for the volume adjustment. This also has a touch sensitive mute button that changes the lights to red when muted. This microphone also has a headphone Jack in the back. This set comes with a shock mount for connecting the microphone to the boom. I'm not sure how much shock absorption there is in the shock mount but it looks good with the microphone. The microphone is a square style mic and can be changed to single colors or static changing colors. The microphone boom can be positioned just about anywhere and the twist knobs can be tightened and loosened for tension. The clamp going to a desk or shelf is not rubberized and does not have any rubber protection to keep your furniture from scratching.

In use, this is a decent setup for general use. I have learned over the years each microphone has a different sound to it and found it to my advantage to have lots of different types of microphones. This microphone is very easy to use and is simply plug and play. There is no drivers to mess with and my computer recognizes it as a microphone input as soon as I plugged it in. This microphone has a clear pickup and seems to work really well. The boom is a decent quality scissor boom that has quality springs and not the cheap ones. The metal is made a little thicker than the super cheap scissor booms and has a little bit more weight to it. I did switch the scissor boom with a white one that I had of the same exact style and build and it connected to the shock mount seamlessly. The white boom looks a lot better with the white body of the microphone. This microphone is great for general use, talking in chats, streaming, video recording, simple non professional style type recording where you just need your voice picked up clear and precise without issue. I have found this microphone to be fun to use simple to install and stays in any position that I put it. I like the LEDs and the option to change them to fit any mood or any background that I may want as well as the option to turn it off. The sheer simplicity of this setup is very attractive especially to somebody who would be new or not technical savvy to set up a microphone to a mixer and mixer into the computer type thing. The size of the mic is bigger than a normal stage mic but looks the same as some of the Shure mics out there and would probably compare to the same size.

The value on this is decent. I feel like for the price at the time of this review and in my opinion you're getting a decent amount of stuff. You have everything in a microphone that you need to record here as well as a placement solution. I think this is a decent price for the quality and quantity you get with this setup and find this to be very affordable for what it is.

Overall this is not a studio grade mic but it will probably do just about anything you need except for serious studio recordings. The simplicity of this microphone makes it so that anybody can use it and the value is good enough to be able to afford. It is one step up from a cheap scissor boom and there are much better booms on the market but this one works well and if you're not in a studio you don't need anything more than this. I would have no problem recommending this microphone and say that this is probably geared towards a younger audience but will work well for anything that you need it for as far as recording your voice goes.

Great budget microphone for streamers

So I've been using this microphone consistently for a couple weeks now, and so far it's been great!

It worked right out of the box without any issues. No software required! (Very refreshing to see these days)

The microphone sounds great with very little EQ-ing needed. It produces a well-balanced, crisp recording that is neither tinny nor bass heavy.

The RGB on the microphone is stunning and looks nothing like the washed-out RGB in the product photos. I honestly wasn't expecting the rgb to be as vibrant and smooth as it is.

Now there are a couple things I don't particularly like about the microphone, but they certainly aren't dealbreakers.

The mic is very light and feels pretty cheaply made, and the way the microphone is mounted limits your ability to ajust the microphone into certain positions without hitting the cable when using low profile mic arms. Nothing major.

Overall, it's a great budget microphone for streaming, gaming, or podcasting. It sounds great, looks great, and is easier to set up and use than most expensive name-brand microphones nowadays.

A surprisingly good deal!

This was a free product. However, I have no incentive to be biased towards or against this product.

First, I want to apologize for the video quality. I only cared about capturing the sound quality of the ZealSound USB Gaming Microphone. Hopefully, I did just that. I used OBS with Fedora (Linux) as my operating system. I didn't use any types of filters and just went with how it sounded as soon as I plugged it up.

I said just about everything I thought about this mic set in the video. The mic is not the top of the line mic. However, for a beginner's setup, you can't really go wrong with this. To me it sounded pretty good. The cable is around 5 feet long giving you plenty of room to get just the right setup. The RGB light is a personal choice. For me, it's cool but not necessary. The mic boom pretty much stays where you set it up at.

My only complaint is that the C-clamp is missing a rubberized cushion for the bottom part of the clamp. I'm sure you can buy some cheap or even stick a piece of tough cardboard between it and the desk. Still, there should have been one.

That being said, I highly recommend this for anyone who's just starting out in whatever recording format you're doing.

A decent quality sound and and a solid boom arm.

Okay this is a nice condenser microphone with boom arm. The microphone is pretty decent it's well built it's got a little bit of weight to it the boom arm also is okay it is sturdy it holds it in place the microphone in place.

The microphone itself a decent quality sound you can control the gain and you have the mute button and you can adjust the lights all on the microphone itself so I had it hooked up to my mixer and sound was clear now it's it's a USB so it it connects basically to your PC or laptop and you would record that way now I did run it through my mixer and the sound quality was good and I just ran some headphones cuz I wanted to hear just how good it was and it's it's decent it's a decent microphone it picks up well even if you're talking off to the side a little bit it's still going to pick up pretty good like a condenser should it's got the phone filter on it so it's going to try to cut out some of that background noise but yeah I just got a light display it's got the gain control and you got mute on there as well so it's a decent microphone it's okay I'd recommend it decent quality sound to it.

Brings out clear natural voice, awesome touch and lighting features.

Needed a replacement mike for my videos and streaming. It's been a great replacement so far. I love the upgraded touch feature to mute the mic. If you press and hold you can switch from headset and mic adjustments. It was easy to set up basically plug and play. I use this mic along with OBS Studio for my stream and recordings so need a great mic for this.

No issues or lag paired with OBS. My voice is clear and natural and able to adjust gains at the touch. Even when I yell at the mic no distortion. I have gotten many comments about the mic and RGB lighting and where did I get it. Subs like the new clarity I'm giving them with this mic. The boom arm stand feels weak though but is holding up to me moving back and forward. I was worried about mounting to my desk because it has a curved edge vs straight but it did mount and tight. The cable it comes with is nice also for setting up USB A or USB C. Great design and mic thumbs up!

Pretty good mic

I tested it by myself I haven’t tested it on call with someone yet but from what I can hear it sounds pretty good the only problem I had with it was when I used the cord that came with the mic there was a little static noise but I swapped for one of my cords and it sounded perfect. If you buy this mic and hear static just try a different cord. Other than that it was super easy to set up and it looks super cool and super easy to mute and turn the light on and off

Francis

They missed some details like an effective shock mount.

It's capable of picking up more detail in the background then my phone and overall audio quality is a bit better then my phone. It has noise canceling if you want to reduce background noise. It can be plugged into USB-A, USB-C, and Apple devices with a lightning connector. The feature I like most is the ability to plug headphones into it for easy back monitoring. The mute button and volume control are also nice. Placement of the USB connector and 3.5mm jack aren't great in my opinion. They limit the ways in which you can place the microphone. It looks like the microphone can be removed from the holder and used with other types of mounts but it's permanently affixed. That makes it difficult to use the most common aftermarket shock mounts. It says in the description there's a shock mount included but if they are calling that holder a shock mount it's useless at best. As a result I can hear the vibrations from my typing traveling through the boom arm, vibrating the springs in the boom, and vibrating directly into the mic. A proper shock mount would have solved that issue.

While being fine in one dimension the C-clamp should have been a bit deeper in the other direction. It will fit thick desks but must be affixed right on the very edge. As a result it doesn't mount great on my desk. Where the microphone attaches to the boom arm it doesn't thread properly. The lights can be turned off if you prefer but I like how the mic lights up red when it's muted by default when the lights are on.

They include a desk mount which is alright. Once again I would prefer to have had a shock mount though.

Decent sound, comes with unreliable cable, noise suppression sucks

I'll drop a fast review followed by some details below (for those that care).

LIKED:

- sound quality

- light-up mic looks cool

- mic can be muted with a simple touch

DISLIKED

- volume knob design is bad

- noise suppression is awful

- cable that connects to PC is *VERY UNRELIABLE*

MY REACTION:

If you want a cheap mic that looks cool and sounds good, this is a solid choice. The things I hate most about this mic aren't dealbreakers, but they are annoying.

1. I hate the volume knob design. Basically, the entire base of the mic acts as the volume knob (check my video to see what I mean) which makes it really easy to accidentally turn the audio up or down when all you're trying to do is re-position the mic.

2. The noise suppression is so bad that I NEVER use it. It does filter out ambient noise, but it also causes the ends of your sentences to sometimes be cut off. As far as I can see, if you move around a lot while you use the mic, you're better off not using the noise suppression option ever.

3. The cable that connects the mic to your PC is constantly giving me trouble. Specifically, the end that connects to the mic (USB-C connection). For a while, I thought I'd received a junk mic because my PC was somehow discovering the microphone itself, but it just wasn't registering incoming audio. Turns out, the cable just sucked. If you have issues setting up your mic, trying unplugging and plugging the cable back in. This happens ALL the time basically.

Like I said, none of this stuff is a dealbreaker, thus the 4-star review. Despite my complaints, I use this mic all the time. A good budget microphone.

For 40 dollars it’s a steal but it before it goes up in price 💯💯

The sound is a 8.5 out of 10. I used to have echo with the mic on my headset because the audio was so loud so this helped perfectly and they said it sounds really good. This is coming from 15 year old gamer . I recommend this to anyone on a budget. Or not this is a good microphone . U can’t connect it to iPhone though.

Great mic for an even better price

Wonder mic with the option to mount on a desk. This mic is a perfect for the morning announcements at school. Has the ability to increase the sound. My students live that it lights up and changes colors. It does have a button that will disable that feature if you it’s too distracting. Overall, seems like a quality product!

Great microphone for the price.

The setup was simple, and it came with everything I needed. I had already purchased their other desk stand microphone, but I was looking for something more out of the way. This microphone fit that perfectly.

So far I'm happy with it, and I get a lot of value for the money. I like that I can connect my headphones and monitor the output directly, and the sound quality is just as good as their desk microphone.

The only thing that I wish it had, is the noise cancelling feature from their desktop microphone, but for the price it's perfect.

Works - But Setup isn't Automatic

This mic works good. I've gotten more than a few compliments on the sound quality on zoom calls. I use it mostly for video calls and recording loom videos for my employees, and it works so-so for these purposes. My computer likes to identify it as my speaker as well as my microphone, meaning that it takes some futzing to get it connected properly for how I like to use it, with my headphones for audio and the mic for, well, a microphone.

Putting it together was a snap, it took less than 5 minutes, and it plug and plays into my windows PC, which is nice. Because there's no software that comes with it, setting it up properly means navigating your computer's audio settings, if you're not familiar with that, it might take a while. It comes with a desktop stand as well as a boom, which is a plus, I don't use the boom. It stands stable, and the cord is long enough that I can move it around the desk to accommodate whatever else I'm working on and keep it off of camera.

I haven't tried it with my phone, so can't speak to how well it works for that purpose, but for recording, particularly when it's the single audio input, it does a great job and has far better sound quality than a native microphone in almost any device. If you spend a lot of time making content or on calls, this is a good quality mic that comes with all of the bells and whistles and just works right out of the box.

Best Features

- Complete Kit

- Plug and Pla (with Windows)

The Cons

As noted, my computer wants to identify it as headphones as well, and I can't stop this from happening, so I have to manually set my input devices every time I plug it in for it to work properly.

The Ranahan Reviewer

Mic is actually OK if used right

ZealSound Gaming USB Microphone Review

I have been producing radio for 18.5 years now and have used a lotta different set ups. At this price point, considering that the contents of the box included not only a mic, but a boom arm, a desktop stand, a USB cable, and two cable adopters, I did not have high expectations. But I did want a back up to my main set up and another mic to act as a second mic input for when I had guests on my radio program or for doing voice-over work.

I will admit that I was surprised by this outfit. Oh yeah, the boom arm is really el-cheapo, and I am not a fan of the lights. (Luckily they are easy to turn off. What is with electronics always having flashing or glowing lights these days anyway? Such a gimmick!)

The short mic tripod has plastic legs but a metal center piece so it has a little bit of heft to it. But unless you are VERY low sitting at your desk, or are willing to raise it on some sort of a stand, then you’ll likely get tired or bending down to speak into it.

Surprisingly, I my testing I have found that there is very little, if any, difference in my voice recordings between this mic and my Sure Beta 58A that I have been using for about 10 years. As long as I got up real close and personal to it. I ran both through the same post processing that I always do and it is very, very hard for me to hear any difference between the two.

I did have to mess with the output volume so that I could still just barely clip in my recording software if I really ramped up my vocal delivery, but that was easy enough.

However, the headphone jack is tied directly into the output volume, so by having the output set to a moderate level, I could not hear much of my voice through my headphones. But, I never wear headphones anyway while I work at my studio desk, so that feature does not affect my workflow.

I like that they included both lightning and USB C converters for greater flexibility of recording platforms. Use this mic with an iPhone, or any USB A or C data port. The instruction manual was well written in good English.

Because I have to run my analog Sure Beta 58A mic through a mixing board before feeding it into my computer it has always picked up a little bit of hum along the way. While this mic is not hum free (it picks up some from the fans and drives on my computer), that noise is less than my previous set up.

The USB cable is long enough to run down the cable keepers on my pro-sumer grade mic boom arm and still reach my computer. So, while I’ll pass on the included mic boom arm and desktop tripod, I will be testing this mic in the weeks to come to see if it can really perform up to my previous mic.

Pros will wrinkle their noses at this set up for sure. But for podcasters who are just starting out, or for other budget-minded mic users, I think this makes a great affordable and flexible package to start with. However, if you do not need—or already own—a boom arm and have plenty of cables and adapters, then you may want to consider investing your $43 in a better quality mic instead. After all, at the end of the day it’s all about the quality of the audio if you are addressing a public audience.
