Impressive Technology, but a Serious Safety Concern

The Wolfbox G900 initially impressed me with its sleek design, solid build quality, and overall technology. Unfortunately, for a product intended to replace something as critical as a vehicle’s rearview mirror, appearance and features mean very little if it cannot safely perform its most basic function.

I installed this unit in my 2023 Ford F-150 Tremor using the universal mounting system. Unfortunately, the mounting position placed the mirror at an angle that was far too low. Instead of providing a clear view through the rear window, the mirror reflected the rear seats.

While this might not seem like an issue when the electronic display is powered on and the rear camera is functioning, what happens when the unit loses power, malfunctions, or the camera fails?

At that point, the G900 should still function as a conventional rearview mirror. In my installation, it simply couldn’t. As a driver over 6’3”, I found the positioning particularly problematic, with no practical way to adjust the mirror to achieve a safe viewing angle.

This is not merely an inconvenience. It is a legitimate safety concern. A product replacing an essential piece of safety equipment should never leave the driver dependent entirely on electronics to see behind the vehicle.

I genuinely wanted to like this product. The technology is impressive, and the construction feels premium. However, Wolfbox needs to reconsider its mounting design and ensure that its products retain the functionality of a traditional rearview mirror, particularly in full-size trucks like the F-150.

Two stars for the technology and build quality, but I cannot recommend this mounting configuration for a 2023 F-150 Tremor until the safety issue is addressed.

One of my favorite off-roading upgrades.

My G900 has got to be one of my favorite Jeep upgrades. I didn’t realize how much I needed it until after it was installed. It’s been an absolutely amazing addition to our rig and has proven itself time and time again off road. When cresting a steep hill, it allows me to see what’s in front of me when all I can see through my windshield is sky. When packed out inside the Jeep, my rear camera serves as my rear view mirror. The dash cam, captures all the action automatically, even when we forget to turn on our GoPro or 360 cameras.

I ordered the hardwire kit so as not to have to lug it into a cigarette liter plug. The included power supply puts out enough power to quickly recharge any other devices.

The ability to speak commands to do things like take a photo or other functions impresses anyone who happens to be riding along.

My only regret is not having gotten one sooner!

TriPro EXCELLENT car camera setup

Had issues with the G900 Pro 2 caveat system where the front facing dash cam on the mirror unit itself kept losing connection, requiring me to unplug the unit & plug it back in every time I turned the car off & back on. Wolfbox customer service was spectacular & exchanged the G900 Pro for a TriPro model so I could install the extra cavers on my lower bumper of my 2003 Audi RS6 that’s got a very low front lip. The video quality on all 3 cameras is better than any factory installed system I’ve ever had even on 6-figure luxury SUV’s I’ve owned. But the customer service & support is what sets Wolfbox apart from their competition in my opinion.

Perfect fit

I purchased the G900 Tripro for my Tacoma camper shell. The installation was easy and straightforward. But I did have an issue with the rear camera. After I contacted customer service and messaged them Mark responed and helped me out. We got the problem figured out and I couldn't be any more satisfied. Thank you Mark! This camera setup is just what I needed because I had no way I could see behind me because of the camper on the back. Awesome product thank you Wolfbox

Great Camera

Great camera, absolutely love it. Had a problem with the bumper camera not working but their customer service was great and sent me a replacement fast and now all 3 cameras work amazing. Great video quality and once I bought the correct mount for my Jeep sits in the OEM spot. Definitely recommend buying the mount and not using the rubber straps on the OEM mirror.

Worked great for the Ram 1500 Laramie 4x4 Crew Cab. I tapped in to the mirror auto dim harness in the behind the black box above the rearview mirror. I used and plug and play kit (GPS Dash Cam Power Adapter,(10Pin Type C Connector)Mirror Camera Radar Charger Station GPS Dashcam Charger Cable for Select JEEP Cherokee,Dodge Ram,Chrysler Pacifca,Connects to Rearview Mirror Brand: Naponal) This gives you a usb connection for the power cable so you don't have to tie in at the fuse box. Be advised, that doing it this way the Wolfbox only operates with ACC or Ongnition on. So if you want the dash cams to work as a security cam when the vehicle is off, you will have to use the Wolfbox power adapter that ties into the fuse box. I hooked up the bumper camera on the grill. Ran the wiring thru the firewall just above and left of the break pedal. I hooked the rear camera up inside the cab on the back window looking out towards the rear of the truck. You can also hook the rear camera up on the license plate adapter mount that comes in the kit. There's videos out there showing various installs. They are helpfull.

It’s okay

It seems promising at first, the two cameras that comes with the device are two different style since one is 2.5k and the other 1080p. But the rear 1080p camera has a curved lens instead of flat so there’s a lot of glare so any lights at night hiting it will have glare. Also the two external camera have two different hue or color balance, one is more warmer/natural but the rear is more blue. Sometimes it randomly shuts off or takes long to boot. But overall this is a good dash camera mirror but I don’t think it’s worth the price it’s asking for unless they improve what I said.

Repeatedly reboots within several minutes on any given drive. I have tried different power cable combinations power supply combinations disconnecting the rear camera etc

Then multiple views would be great if I could see them, more often than not the rear camera fails repeatedly as the unit reboots lengthening amount of time that I don't have a rear view, never mind the third camera which I haven't even put in yet.

The software gets the job done what I wish there was more customization for the nuisance messages that cover the camera screen. I don't need to know that it's going to take 8 seconds for the rear camera to initialize.

Wolf box did offer to send me a replacement rear camera and cable, but I already know that's not going to fix the issue and so back to the manufacturer and goes. Too bad because I already installed a custom mirror mount. This whole process is just going to waste more of my time.

Although they rearview camera is 2.5 k, at night time I doubt it's ability to pick up license plates unless the vehicle is exactly in position behind my vehicle.

WOLFBOX G900 Tripro Bumper Version

I have a Ford F-150 King Ranch and I recently bought a camper shell for it. My problem was that having this shell reduced my visibility from the rear view mirror. I also needed to replace my dash cam.

I watched many reviews and I attended CES in Las Vegas. What really amazed me was the WOLFBOX G900 actually replaces your rear view mirror. It has a front facing 4K camera, a camera that I can face into the bed of my truck and one that I can place on my rear bumper. With the rear view number I can see very clearly what is behind me with no obstructions and it records! I can actually see behind my truck better than I could with a mirror.The front camera also records in wide angle and I can also see in the bed of the truck. The WOLFBOX G900 has WiFi and voice control with many other incredible features. It also has touch controls. It’s also cool that it does not take up extra space from my front windshield. Setup was a snap because it gets its power from the original power mirror. It also can be powered using a cigarette lighter adapter. This has got to be my favorite accessory I have bought for my truck!

My wolf box wont record when off and back camera has a defect it says (the rear camera takes 8 seconds to boot up, rear camera currently not detected)

G900 Tripro Bumper Foggy Rear Camera

Bought the G900 Tripro bumper back on January 2026. May 2026 when it started having fogging issue in the rear camera. Before the fogging started, it was 40 degrees Fahrenheit and raining. Next day, 60 degrees and cloudy and still have fog. I waited 3 days and it was a constant 70 degrees and sunny but still foggy inside the camera. So far, I do hope that Wolfbox replace the rear camera.

Outside cameras failed

After 1 day of rain my outside cameras have damage, and are foggy, they are not waterproof.. or mine are somehow damaged.

I had a previous version and had no issues so kinda sucks I spent the money on this.

Tuve un accidente en la carretera con un tronco que reventó mi llanta y el espejo grabó absolutamente todo con una claridad impresionante.puedo decir que la calidad del sensor de imagen es de otro nivel. No hay retraso (lag) en la imagen trasera, lo cual es vital para la seguridad. La resolución permite ver placas y detalles mínimos incluso a alta velocidad o con poca luz lo recomimedo encaresidamente

The camera's image quality is poor.

The camera quality is poor—night photography is practically non-existent. The price is high, yet the quality is abysmal.

Rear camera got water in lens and now all I see is blurred glare . Don’t waste your money buy something with the quality waterproof product.

Great camera with some additional add-ons.

Great camera but pretty spendy, especially considering you have to buy add-ons to make it perfect or even functional in some vehicles cases. I have a new vehicle that doesn't have the 12V power point, which makes the included power cord useless. So the camera was not usable out of the box for me without buying the additional hardwire kit, which I would have wanted anyways to be able to use parking mode. I also had to purchase the anti-glare to put on the the mirror as without it, it basically has double vision anytime there's headlights reflecting in it (Yes even through my tinted rear window). The anti-glare works great for eliminating the double vision but then you lose the option of turning the camera off and using it as a regular mirror. I opted to also purchase the mirror bracket to give it a cleaner install look but it does vibrate a bit more than the factory mirror. Not being able to use this pricey camera straight out of the box lost it one star for me but they're amazing customer service gain them a bonus star.

Great investment

Video and pictures do not do justice of the quality of this product and its cameras. Pretty straight forward when installation took me about 2 hours to install and setup everything in a span of about a month. Wire length was more than I need which is great I have a 2012 Ram 2500 crew cab with a 6’7 box my truck has a 6inch lift so it was very easy to get under it to run the wires. Visibility is 10/10 sometimes I don’t even look thru the windshield I use the camera for guidance. It’s looks great even purchased the bracket best value for the money. For the price though I do wish it came with more features like gps, YouTube, or some simple apps. But it is what it is. I recommend.

Quick and smart but windshield cam cannot be disabled.

I was very impressed with the rear view mirror; it's very smart. I installed it on a 2007 Mustang, but I installed it differently and much better. When I start the car, it works instantly, unlike some people who complain about it taking a while. The only downside is that I wish I could disable the windshield camera, but unfortunately, that's not possible yet.

4 k night vision camera

It's 373$ cameras says 4 k night vision please see the video quality but the customer service helped me to return it first the front camera wire was missing than I try to figure out by myself I can't manage

Two thumbs up!!!!

I have another brand dash-cam that I use for my personal truck and decided to upgrade to the Wolfbox. I already use a different version Wolfbox dash-cam for my work truck and I’m very pleased with it. Let’s say I’m very happy with this one. Once I get my new work truck I plan on getting another one. Anyways, the clarity is awesome for the front and rear but I wish the bumper camera was 2.5k like rear. I also love the extra protection they put on the bumper camera wire.

Installation on F150 was not difficult. I mounted rear camera inside rear window. I mounted bumper camera above Ford emblem on grill so I can see to mount snow plow, also for turning around in tight places where I need to see the front bumper. I prefer using the mirror while driving. It is a little darker than the stock Ford mirror. I added the polarizing lens, and the mounting bracket . The lens cuts the corners slightly, the bracket has a little bit of vibration.

Best 4k rear camera.

This is by far the best rear camera set up of all time! Install is super easy and the video quality it awesome. Buy once cry once...a little pricey but definitely worth every penny.

A great product minus a couple of things

The only reason this camera does not get a 5 star review Is the fact that you can't customize your screens. You can view all 3 cameras at the same time, or individually but you cannot view the front camera and the rear camera at the same time. I currently use my front camera. It has a blind spot camera on my service truck. I don't need to see my forward facing camera. I'm looking that direction. .I'm hopeful that they come out with a 4 camera system eventually.

Nifty little kit

For what it is supposed to do it does very well. The unit itself only comes with the cigarette lighter power connector. If you want to hard wire it you will need the “parking mode” hardware. The image quality is very good. It’s strange at first but you get used to it quick enough. The camera is parabolic so you will see far more than what is just in front or behind you as the camera can see around 135 degrees at once. The phone connectivity requires a WiFi signal and not Bluetooth which is unfortunate but not a deal breaker. It’s a nice addition to large cars or vehicles with obstructed rear viewing and anyone looking for that extra bit of security.
